Dawn's Old Friend
The next morning, everyone wakes up and head to the Pokemon Center's cafeteria to have some breakfast.
"What do you all have planned today?" asked Lincoln.
"I'm going to try coming up with some new contest performances." said Dawn.
"So am I." said Stella.
"Do you think you'll be ready for the contest tomorrow?" Luna asked the two coordinators.
"As ready as we can be." said Stella.
"Do your best, you two." said Sam.
"DeeDee, is that you?" a male voice calls out that Dawn recognized.
"It couldn't be." said Dawn as she and the rest of the group look to see a boy about Dawn's age with red hair, wearing a green t shirt with white trim and a big stripe around the chest over an olive green long-sleeved shirt, khaki pants, and green and white sneakers.
"It's been a while." the boy said to Dawn.
"Kenny, is that you?" asked Dawn.
"That's me." said the boy now known as Kenny.
"What are you doing here?" asked Dawn in an irritated voice.
"Who's this?" asked Sam. Dawn lets out a moan before introducing Kenny to everyone.
"Who are your new friends here?" asked Kenny as he looks at the group.
"I'm Lincoln Loud." said Lincoln.
"I'm his sister, Luna." said Luna.
"I'm Sam Sharp." said Sam.
"I'm Clyde McBride." said Clyde.
"And I'm Stella Zhau." said Stella.
"Hey, I saw you in the Jubilife Contest on TV." Kenny says to Stella.
"Really?" Stella replies.
"Yeah, you were pretty good." said Kenny.
"Thank you." said Stella. Kenny then smirks at Dawn.
"So, what have you been up to Dee-Dee?" Kenny asked Dawn.
"Dee-Dee?" Lincoln replies.
"It's a dumb nickname that Kenny gave me after a little incident when we were younger." said Dawn with an annoyed tone of voice.
"What happened?" asked Stella.
"Get this; when we were in nursery school, Dawn here was picked to care for a Plusle and Minun." Kenny started to say.
"Plusle and Minun?" Stella says.
"They're Pokemon found here in Sinnoh." said Kenny. "Anyway, she holds them too tightly and the two end up shocking her, making her hair sparkle, so I started calling her 'Diamond Dandruff' or 'Dee-Dee' for short."
"That's enough, Kenny!" said Dawn while blushing.
"Come on, Dawn; I'm only teasing." said Kenny with a smirk. "At least I didn't mention other incidents; like that time you got a haircut you didn't like so you gave yourself one that made you look like a Chimchar."
"Like what Lincoln used to have before it evolved into Monferno?" asked Sam while Stella chuckles at the thought.
"Yeah, and like when we were doing a play, she sneezes and ended up accidentally pulling down the entire set." said Kenny.
"Kenny!" said Dawn while blushing.
"Or that time you came to school in a pair of pajamas and two mismatched shoes." said Kenny.
"That's enough!" said Dawn.
"Sorry, I couldn't help it." said Kenny with a little laugh.
"You didn't answer my question as to what you're doing here." said Dawn.
"I'm here for the Floaroma Contest." said Kenny, surprising Dawn.
"You're a coordinator also?" asked Dawn. "You didn't seem interested when we were kids."
"That was then, and this is now." said Kenny.
"What kind of Pokemon do you have?" asked Lincoln. Kenny takes out a pokeball and tosses it, releasing a Prinplup.
"You have a Prinplup too?" asked Sam.
"Yep." said Kenny.
"Well, Stella and I are also here for the Floaroma Contest." said Dawn.
"What Pokemon do you all have?" asked Kenny. The group then releases all their Pokemon to show Kenny who was surprised by the Hisuian Pokemon, and all the Eevees.
"As fun as it was to see you again, we got a lot of preparing to do." said Dawn.
"Yeah, I'm gonna train for the Sinnoh League." said Lincoln.
"That's cool." said Kenny before looking at Dawn and Stella. "And I'll see you all at the contest hall tomorrow."
"Count on it!" said Dawn. Kenny then turns and heads for the Pokemon Center's front desk to hand the nurse his Pokemon.
"He seems nice." said Sam.
"Yeah, try growing up with him." said Dawn with a pout.
"Don't let him get to you." said Luna.
"Yeah, just focus on being ready for him at the Floaroma Contest." said Lincoln.
"Thanks, guys." said Dawn.
After the group finishes eating, they all head out to train their Pokemon.
Lincoln mainly focused on his new Buizel and Eevee; with Buizel learning Quick Attack, Water Gun, and Bite; during Eevee's training, he froze up and started to glow.
"Whoa! Eevee, you're evolving!" said Lincoln. He watches as his Eevee starts to change before his eyes; when he was done, he was longer, his fur was a light shade of purple, a long slim tail that forked at the end of it, and a red gem on his forehead. Lincoln takes out his pokedex and points it at his newly evolved Eevee.
"Espeon, the Sun Pokemon, and the evolved form of Eevee. Wields an arcane power with which it can predict the weather and even people's thoughts. When bathed in sunshine, the scarlet orb on its brow glows and builds energy." said Lincoln's pokedex.
"Awesome!" cheered Lincoln. "And this says that after you evolved you learned Confusion."
With Stella, she was training up her Pokemon for the Floaroma Contest while coming up with new combinations she could use during it.
Clyde was training his Pokemon; his Kirlia learned Life Dew, and his Psyduck and Eevee got stronger.
Sam's Prinplup learned Swagger, her Luxio got stronger, her Kricketune learned Focus Energy, her Zubat learned Quick Guard, her Onix learned Rock Slide, and her Eevee got stronger. During the training, her Zubat began to glow.
"Hey, guys; Zubat's evolving!" said Sam. Everyone watched as Zubat began to grow; when the glowing stopped, Zubat now had eyes, a pair of legs with feet, and a bigger mouth. Sam points her pokedex at the newly evolved Zubat.
"Golbat, the Bat Pokemon, and the evolved form of Zubat. Once it starts sucking blood, it does not stop until it is full. It flies at night in search of prey." said Sam's pokedex.
"Congrats, Sam." said Luna, hugging Sam from behind.
"Thanks, Lunes." replied Sam before kissing Luna on the cheek.
Luna's Geodude learned Bulldoze, her Grotle learned Bite, and her Hisuian Sneasel and Eevee got stronger.
With Dawn, she was training up her Pokemon and coming up with performance routines like Stella was; her Piplup learned Swagger, her Pachirisu learned Nuzzle, and though she didn't learn any new moves; Dawn's Eevee begins to evolve.
"Yay!" cheered Dawn. "I wonder what I'll get." When her Eevee was done changing, her body was longer, her fur was a light pink color, her ears, feet, and tail were a darker shade of pink, and around her neck and one of her ears were ribbons tied into bows that were dark pink, blue, and light blue at the ends of them. Dawn could only gawk at her newly evolved Pokemon as she points her pokedex at it.
"Sylveon, the Intertwining Pokemon, and the evolved form of Eevee. It emits a soothing aura from its ribbon-shaped organs. It wraps these appendages around quarrelers to instantly restore calm to the situation." said Dawn's pokedex.
"She's beautiful!" said Dawn. "And this says you learned Fairy Wind after evolving!"
Also, while training her Pachirisu, the Pokemon picked up a Super Potion, and a turquoise-colored stone; not knowing what else to do with it, she puts it in her bag.
Everyone soon meets up at the Pokemon Center for lunch. As they ate with their Pokemon, they all talked about what they achieved today.
"Your Sylveon is so cute!" said Sam.
"I know!" said Dawn with delight.
"And it's so cool that your Eevee evolved also, Lincoln." said Clyde.
"You got that right!" said Lincoln.
"And I also found this weird stone." said Dawn as she pulls the turquoise stone she found.
"I think that's a Dawn Stone!" said Lincoln.
"A what?" replied Dawn.
"It's an evolution stone that will evolve a female Snorunt or a male Kirlia." explained Lincoln. "I learned about it at the Pokemon School."
"Wish I had one." said Clyde. "I could use it on my Kirlia." Dawn looks at the Dawn Stone she had before holding it out to Clyde.
"You can have it." said Dawn.
"Really?" asked Clyde.
"I don't have a Snorunt or Kirlia." said Dawn. "You'd be able to use it instead of me."
"Thanks!" said Clyde. After Dawn gives Clyde the Dawn Stone, he walks over to Kirlia. "You want to evolve, Kirlia?" Kirlia looks at the Dawn Stone, then at Clyde and he nods, happily. Clyde gives Kirlia the Dawn Stone; the second Kirlia took it, he began to glow and the Dawn Stone disappears.
Kirlia began to grow in height; when the glowing stopped, Kirlia had a green torso with red horns sticking out of his chest and back, his lower body was white with strong legs, his arms were green and he had bladelike elbows, his head was green and resembled a helmet while his face was green.
"He looks so awesome!" said Clyde.
"What is Kirlia now?" asked Dawn. Lincoln takes out his pokedex and points it at Clyde's newly evolved Kirlia.
"Gallade, the Blade Pokemon, and the final evolved form of Ralts. A master of courtesy and swordsmanship, it fights using the extending swords on its elbows." said Lincoln's pokedex.
"He looks so rad." said Luna.
"According to this, Gallade is now part fighting, part fairy, he learned Slash when he evolved, and he now has the Steadfast ability, which increases his speed when he flinches during battle." said Lincoln.
"Cool!" said Clyde.
"I'll say!" a familiar voice says from nearby, making everyone look to see Kenny walking over to them while looking at Gallade.
"Hi, Kenny." Dawn says in a neutral tone.
"Your Gallade looks so cool!" said Kenny.
"What have you been up to?" asked Lincoln.
"Getting ready for tomorrow." said Kenny.
"So have we." said Dawn as she gestures to himself and Stella.
"Well, I hope you girls are at least good enough to make it past the Performance Stage." said Kenny.
"We'll have to wait and see." said Dawn.
"Guess I'll be seeing you both tomorrow; see you then, Dee Dee." said Kenny, turning around and walking away.
"It's Dawn!" exclaimed Dawn.
"Don't let him get to you." said Lincoln.
"Yeah; you'll show him what you can do tomorrow." said Clyde.
"Thanks, you guys." said Dawn, hugging both Lincoln and Clyde. Stella grabs Lincoln by the arm and pulls him away.
Later; Lincoln and Luna call their families to tell them how they were doing.
"Hi, kids!" said Lynn Sr.
"How's Sinnoh?" asked Rita.
"It's going great so far." said Lincoln. "The Floaroma Contest is tomorrow so Stella and Dawn were preparing for it."
"Did you see any cute Pokemon?" said Lola. Dawn lets out her Sylveon for the Louds back in Royal Woods to see.
"She's so beautiful!" said Leni as she looks at the pink Eevee evolution.
"I want it! I want it! I want it!" shouts Lola.
"Okay, Lola; I promise if I ever find an Eevee I'll try evolving it into one for you." said Lincoln.
"You'd better!" shouts Lola. After the group ends the call, they go about their day until it was time for bed. They walked to the Floraroma Town Pokemon Center and gave the nurse their Pokemon; after that, they went to their rooms.
"Good night, everyone." said Lincoln. Before he could go into his and Clyde's room; Stella turns him around and kisses him on the lips.
"Good night, Lincoln." said Stella as she looks lovingly into Lincoln's eyes, making him blush.
"G-Good night, Stella." said Lincoln. Everyone
The Floraoma Contest will begin tomorrow. Will Stella or Dawn be able to win the Floraroma Ribbon? Wait and find out.
