Hey guys! I'm sorry this took a lot longer than usual, I had this chapter finished for a while, but I was trying to line all my ducks in a row before posting. Let me know what you like or dislike about this. I can't wait to continue this book. And I saw your comments about Skye's legal name and to be honest, lol, I totally forgot, and I just kept it with the original. I wanted her name to be Daisy and forgot that I kept it as Mary Sue. How do you think I should wrap that into the story?

Dr. Campbell calls in the morning around 8 am and says that Skye should be okay to get released around 1pm. That gives them plenty of time to meet with their kids and do a little shopping before Skye arrives.
"Hey dad!" Elena smiles, jumping to greet her dad.
"Hi honey, I'm so glad you're here. You're mom's finishing her routine"
"Ahh yes" Elena smiles remembering her mother's routine morning tai chi, with her chi tea. She also remembers what happens when you interrupt her routine, "When's Nat getting here?"
"She should arrive soon, I know her and Bobbi were getting breakfast on the way"
Around 26 minutes later another knock on the door is heard. Melinda gets up from talking with Robin and Phil and answers it, finding Natasha and Bobbi smiling at her.
"Hey guys, come in"
They each hug Melinda tightly before doing the same to Elena and Phil. They sit down, and unbox the donuts they brought,
"So what can you tell us about Skye?" Nat asks.
"Not much, she's not too talkative. I believe she is 17. She was staying with the Garretts."
"Wait, you said she was in the hospital"
"She is, we have to pick her up around 12"
"Wait- Garrett"
Melinda sighs, locking eyes with Phil. She and Phil were talking about it last night. They've known Garrett forever, and they couldn't believe that a college friend thay hung out with ended up a child abuser. It's crazy how it works. They've had Garrett around their kids, and thought nothing of it. Some of their kids think of Garrett as an uncle, but what kind of uncle would do such a thing.
"Yes, Garrett"
"Wow," Elena sighs in shock.
In order to try and get in a better mood Bobbi tries to change the subject, "So where will Skye be staying? Which room?"
Their house is kinda big. It's not a mansion or anything but they do have around 6 bedrooms, and 5 baths, including a 4 car garage on a decent plot of land. They had to, they have 5 kids. It started with 3 bedrooms, a decent sized kitchen for Phil, and 3 rooms, a dining, living room, and an office. They upgraded the whole house, bit by bit and now it fits every need for them and is customized to fit all the family members.. Now, they have 5 rooms, one for each of the kids, a master, upgraded kitchen, an office, dining room, living, basement workout room for Melinda and the kids, as well as a chill room/family room.
On the bottom floor is the main entrance, into the living room and kitchen that connects in the dining room. Photos adorn the halls into each of the rooms of the kids, and of Phil and Melinda. In the kitchen it is all upgraded thanks to Tony with all the latest appliances and barstools at the island for the kids. The living room has couches and tables to relax in and the dining has a very long table for when people come by. Down there they also had an office big enough for both Melinda and Phil, but Melinda admits that Phil uses it more. A half bathroom is also there for any guests, and easy access.
They have two sets of stairs, one by the entrance and one in the living room. They both lead upstairs to their chill room. It has a tv, with multiple couches and a tv. It also has CDs and movies with bean bag chairs too, not to mention Phil's Captain America memorabilia. Melinda makes fun of his fangirling over the hero. Down the hall are all the bedrooms and bathrooms.
The master bedroom is one of the first rooms. It is pretty plain, but is decorated with more photos. They have a tv also in there on the opposite wall of the bed so that they can enjoy watching it in the comfort of their room. Their comforter is gray with flower outlines. They have their own dressers and full walk in closets. The closets are separated so they each have space for their clothes and apparel. Their bathroom is a light blue with a shower and a bath, a toilet with cabinets for storage. The sink is next to it with all their stuff neatly organized.
Alternating down the hall is Natasha's, Wanda and Pietro's with a connecting bathroom, Robin and Elena.
Natasha has a gray room with red accents. Her bed is a black spread with a reversible side of red. On her walls are shelves with her dance medals and trophies as well as her martial arts medals. She has a desk to do her makeup and when she was at home, it was for schoolwork. Lining one wall was also a ballet bar after they found out about her passion with dance. She was very simplistic.
Wanda and Pietro share a room. Since they first came they refused to be separated so Melinda and Phil agreed to let them stay together in one room. Wanda's side was pink and Pietro's was blue, perfectly split down the center. On Wanda's side was all science. She has posters and pictures of scientists and research. Pietro on the other hand was infatuated with doctors and medical research books. But he also had a whole wall on nascar racing. They share a bathroom that has double sinks and double the storage sinks. They both have their own closets as well, both filled to the brim with clothing.
Robin's room is very natural. She has butterfly stickers on her green walls, with flower lighting. Her bedspread is of a waterfall. She also has a bookshelf filled with nature books like trails, plants, and drawings. But she is obsessed with robins so on her bed is a pile of different birds and animals, but especially robins. She also has a little art corner with a table and supplies in a cart. Her closet is filled and her bathroom is pretty neat.
In Elena's room she has a bunch of medals displayed as well. She has a lot of track and hurdle awards from her prior competitions. She has a purple canopy that always makes her feel like a princess. She has an expanded closet for all her running apparel and all her shoes. She also has a lot of books and pictures spicing up her room.
The last room is a guest bedroom. It has a full walk-in closet with a spare bed and dresser. It also has a full bathroom with a shower and all the amenities. It's not decorated much. It's a neutral gray with puppy patterns on the bed spread. It has a night table with a lamp and has a tv like most of the other bedrooms.
Going back downstairs in the kitchen there is a door near the food pantry. This door leads to the basement. The basement is fully finished with some games like pool, table tennis, and a foosball table. It also has more coaches, a mini freezer, with a mini bar, and another ½ bath for convenience. Next to that is the garage that can fit 4 cars. If you take another door, that leads to the workout room.
The workout room is filled with lots of equipment. It ranges from treadmills, step stairs, to weights and workout bands. There are a bunch of mats and lining for sparring. There are cabinets for other smaller equipment like gloves, extra supplies, and an entire equipment closet. Inside are extra boxing bags, hula hoops, and more padding etc. It was any athlete's dream. Don't worry though they also have a full medical supply kit as well as an emergency phone. Perks of being friends with Bruce.
"We're planning on giving her the guest bedroom."
"Oh, that's nice" Bobbi said, "So how much are planning on getting before Skye comes"
"Well my dad and mom always bring us out to get personalized stuff, so I'm guessing a new dresser and night table, because that one is scratched and dirty."
Melinda and Phil nod, "Yeah, we don;t want to pick too much stuff out, since like usual we'll take her out to get stuff. You all are welcome to join for that too."
Elena smiles, "I may just take you up on that. I don't have to be back for another week."
"Great"
"So where should we get started?" Nat asks.
"Well, what about Target?" Phil suggests.
"Okay, why not, I love shopping there" Elena beams, "It's an addiction"
The group laughs and gets into Phil's car. Melinda and Phil upfront and Bobbi, Natasha, and Elena squished in the back. They talk about everything. They talk about their jobs, new things, and relationships. They talk about anything. On the way there all anyone's thinking about is this new reality. They are welcoming another girl into their great big family.
