A/N: Hello everyone so a little warning we have a lot of mature content in this episode: torture, death (not the pleasant one), nudity and maybe some others that I cannot really tell (I write this A/N before the chapter so I'll see if there are anything else). I said in the previous chapter that they were at Yu dao I confused with cranefish town my bad I'll change as soon as I have finished this chapter

Little information Sōjōbō talks about the avatar saying "it" I did it on purpose to symbolize that he doesn't respect the avatar spirit

Chapter 3

Sōjōbō started by giving instructions to his tengu's servitor "I want the Avatar to be broken if I deliver it broken to my master, he will be pleased I cannot break the rules. But remember it cannot be hurt even in its own spirit. You have no idea what kind of punishment the elders would have for us if we crossed this line."

A tengu with a very long nose which Aang assumed to be a sign of power or respect or something like that started to talk: "Master, do you have any person for us to embody within his mind ?"

"Actually yes I have an idea: you will become the one he lost and I will become the one he has now" Sōjōbō replied with a wide smile

Katara started to heal Aang even if he hadn't any kind of injury. She wanted to feel his chi just to make sure he was okay.

But when she started it seemed odd like he was tense particularly on his mind. She didn't knew what to do when suddenly a spirit appeared to her

"Who are you and what do you want with Aang ?" she assumed a defensive stance protecting the body of her fiancé like her life depended on it. She assumed immediately that he was the one who took Aang from her and she was ready to strike him down at any moment. Katara was smart and she knew that this spirit that probably took Aang could bring him back so when he didn't answer she became more aggressive: "I asked you a question !" she shouted "What do you want with Aang ! And why did you take him ?!"

The spirit realized that she blamed him for what happened calmed her immediately "I didn't take your fiancé but I can help you help yourself to help him back"

Katara raised an eyebrow not really understanding what he was saying "So you can help get him back ?" she asked

" I can help you help yourself to help him back" the spirit repeated

Katara only rolled her eyes now like repeating himself would help her understand better so she asked "Who are you ? And who can you help me ?"

"My name is Shiva, I am known as the Time spirit I guard time itself and I can tell you how to help him back but it will be dangerous"

"I don't care if it is dangerous I want him back he is suffering I can sense it I don't want to lose him" Katara said with a sad tone

The spirit didn't seem to care and told her "If you want him back you must bond your spirits with his you must do the ceremony in its entirety. You must find your witnesses and meditate with him. Being in the spirit world he is meditating you have to do it by yourself and the faster the better if you are not fast enough his spirit will be entirely broke and you will never be able to save him" on those words the spirit left a very stressed and fearful Katara as he returned to the spirit world.

Sōjōbō forced Aang to relive his best years in the southern Air Temple just to make him watch as he killed all the monks.

But the master of the tengu had a crueler plan than making Aang watch the death of those that he loved. He wanted him to watch him as he incarnated the one he loves killing his nation.

But unfortunately for the spirit Aang knew that he prepared something so he decided to block his mind and to not forget the love that he had in his heart for Katara. When Sōjōbō went for killing his people with the face of Katara, Aang knew that it cannot be her because he loved her too much and had all his faith in her he knew for sure that she could never do that so he decided to taunt the spirit hoping to make him angry and hoping that this anger would push him to make a mistake and maybe offer to Aang an opening to fight his way out of there so he said to the spirit "You are really stupid if you think you can trick me with Katara, I love her I would entrust her with my life you cannot make me think that she would do that Sōjōbō. You are stupider than I thought if you believed it would work."

Unfortunately for Aang his comment didn't make the spirit mad quite the contrary as he said "You gave me an idea my young friend you should have shut your mouth. You are really the worst avatar. If you knew only a little about the spirit world you would know that I am 3 thousand years old and that I had time to not let my emotions get the better of me."

Katara on her side of the world jumped on Appa and flew in cranefish town to the Factory of the Beifongs where she knew she could find at least Toph and Suki and maybe her brother too but she didn't care she needed at least 2 witnesses so even if Sokka wasn't there the 2 girls were more than enough to help her with her bound.

She arrived at the factory where she saw Suki and Toph discussing with Sokka and some security guards. As the guards saw Appa they decided to leave the friends to talk to each other.

Katara jumped out of Appa's head she looked both determined and fearful she approached the group of friends that was both happy and intrigued to see her

Suki approached her sister in law, Sokka and Suki were married for less than 1 year they had a big ceremony with a lot of people, Suki still wore her betrothal necklace, even if it wasn't a southern tradition Sokka wanted to make one for her and she loved it too much to take it out; she approached Katara and noted a strange scarf on her back so she asked "Hello Katara, how are you ? Hey, what is that scarf on your back ?"

Katara blushed a little as she thought of how Aang proposed to her "It's a katha" she responded

It was Toph's turn to make a comment this time "Thank you, we know so much more now" she replied with a sarcastic comment

Katara rolled her eyes "It symbolized love in the ancient Air Nation Aang chose to take it to ask me to marry him he didn't wanted a betrothal necklace" she responded while touching her mother's necklace

Suki responded "Oh it's so sweet of him congratulations for your engagement it was about time"

"You said it" responded Toph "Congratulations anyway" she said with a smirk and while punching Katara's shoulder

"Wait a minute he didn't ask for my permission I'm not comfortable with this I think you're too young to marry yourself" Sokka said visibly not happy which make Katara really angry considering the situation

"Sokka, Aang doesn't need your permission he asked Dad I know because he respects the traditions but you are not my father so shut your mouth now is not the time to get angry at Aang for that"

"What is it Katara ? Your heart rate is incredibly high ?" Toph calling Katara by her name made everyone know that she was really serious and that it was a problem that wasn't gonna wait.

"It's Aang" she replied with a really sad tone "He is trapped in the spirit world"

"Wait a minute, how do you know that he is trapped, can't he just be on a journey ?" Sokka asked

"No he isn't. I can sense when I heal him that his body is tense and he was pulled into the spirit world against his will. It can't be a journey Sokka. Plus when he was pulled he just asked me to marry him you know him, as much as you hate it, Aang is a romantic guy he would never let me here worried while he goes to the spirit world for a journey" Katara replied

"Ok fine you got me with the whole romantic guy so what can we do ?" Sokka asked as he was trying to think of anything that can help them

"I know how to get him out but I cannot do it alone" Katara stated simply

"Ok Sugar Queen what don't you tell us how ? Because I'm starting to get a little worried now I don't like all this spiritual stuff." Toph asked bluntly

"I was hoping that you wouldn't find it this way but I have a connection with Aang and I can amplify it…" Katara started but before she could finish she was interrupted by Sokka

"Ewwww, I don't to know about any connection my little sister has with her boyfriend" he said while making a sick face

"Sokka ! This is important listen to her before playing the sick" replied his wife

"Thanks Sukki. So as I was saying before being abruptly interrupted" as she was saying that she gave an angry stare at Sokka "I have a spiritual connection with Aang. Before he was brought into the spirit world he learned that there is a way to amplify our connection but to do so we need witnesses because it can be a dangerous process so I need you three to come with me and be our witnesses."

"Doesn't Aang need to be conscious for that kind of decision ? Or at least for the process ?" Toph asked with her usual rude attitude

"Aang has already made his decision, he told me so just before he was taken. And for the process technically he is meditating I just have to learn how to do it and go to a spiritual place so we can do it"

"Ok let's say we make it there, you learn how to meditate, then what it's not like we have any clue on how to get Aang back have we ?" Sokka asked

"A spirit appeared to me telling me to do it to save Aang so I'm gonna do it hoping that it is not too late" Katara asked while she drifted her eyes to the ground letting for the first time a single tear roll down her cheek and hit the ground. She had done everything she could to not cry to stay strong for Aang but it was more and more difficult and she couldn't refrain it all

"Wait, what do you mean by too late ?" Suki who was silent most of the time was now stressed at the idea that they had a time period

"The spirit told me that if I wasn't fast enough; his spirit could be broken and I could lose him forever." She said fighting her tears she didn't need to cry she needed to act to get him back

"Oh man I hate spirits. I suppose he didn't give you a timing before we could lose Aang ?" Sokka asked the answer of Katara was quick and short as she only shook her head

"Ok we need a plan of action here what we're gonna do: all of us on Appa I want suki and Katara together Suki you are a warrior but I think you could teach Katara to focus her mind it's not meditating but that's the best we got what do you think ?" Sokka asked looking at his wife

"I can help you focus your mind and let go of your fears but I don't think I can do much more" Suki responded talking to both her husband and sister in law

Katara only nodded to let Sokka continue with his plan

"Good, so we need to get to an Air Temple. The closest is the Western Air Temple, but it's not very spiritual with the team to repair the damages of combustion man. The Northern Air Temple has the same problem with Teo and his dad. I heard Aang once said that the eastern is the most spiritual but it's too far away, so we have no choice but to go to the Southern Air Temple. Toph I want you to be with Aang, watch his heartbeat closely any significant change and I want to hear about it. Katara Suki you do your training none of us will bother you. During this time I'll guide Appa. Is everyone okay with that ?"

Everyone nodded and they began to head to the Southern Air Temple

A/N: Here starts the mature content I will pass the first steps and detail the most importants

"Since he has so much confidence in his girlfriend let's break his confidence with his other friends let's start slowly with some quarterings if some people that he don't consider as close friends start to torture and kill his girlfriend then when he will saw his close friends torturing her it will break him and at last his future brother in law he will be broken enough to achieve him with all his friends and his girlfriend killing the people he loved" Sōjōbō told to his servants

Aang was seeing Katara being tortured again and again. He saw people he considered friends torturing her: Teo, the mechanist, Haru, Mai…

Then comes the part when his closest friends were gonna start torturing her Aang was sobbing and yelling Katara's name all he could but he couldn't do anything about it

The first one to come was Suki. She was harboring a great smile as she took her tools to begin. The first thing she did was tear up Katara's clothes and put her on her knees as she took a very large branch of bamboo and she whipped Katara's back with it she whipped her and stopped as soon as the waterbender was bleeding. The Kyoshi warrior then patted the broken back before her which made Katara shiver from pain at any touch. Suki then took Katara and attached her to a wooden pillar. She then took her sword and swung it onto Katara's left breast cutting it clean through which made Katara as well as Aang yell from the pain one physical and the other mental.

Aang begged Suki to stop but she didn't listen as she cut her right breast making him cry all the tears he had or at least he thought. Then she decided to do some precision work as she ripped the eyes of Katara making her blind she then cut the waterbender's tongue all while she was yelling and he was begging her to stop she decided then to decapitate Katara's head making it roll to Aang who was crying far more than he ever had.

Then went Toph's turn who was even happier than Suki same as her predecessor she decided to rip Katara's clothes but she let her keep her undergarments she didn't needed Katara to be nude to perform her torture She made several knives of earth and before even starting she decided to empale Katara on a rock spike being attentive to not touch any organs. She then decided to start working she cut pieces of flesh one on one she started from the leg and she slowly went up to Katara's face as she continued to cut Katara's flesh she finished and watched Aang who if he could would have passed out from mental pain same as Katara she then decided to taunt him "Hey twinkletoes watch this" she said as she cut a big piece of flesh from Katara's neck leaving the carotid artery bleeding really fast and Katara was sinking in her own blood as she died. At this moment Aang yelled as he never had before.

A few minutes passed when Katara was brought back to life only for Zuko to take his turn at the torture session he started to burn her colthes not minding the fact that she was burning with them he just made sure that she didn't die so he could continue his work. Once all the clothes were burned he decided to watch for any part that wasn't burned like the others and to burn it he only left her face untouched for Aang to see all the pain in her eyes. Then he decided to do the contrary: he searched for the parts of her body that were the most burned and he burnt them more one by one only to let her die from a heart attack from the pain. This method to kill her was really hard for Aang because he heard her heart slowly stopping and then make an attack from the pain. But it wasn't now that Aang was going to suffer the most.

Then for the final blow before the ultimate move from Sōjōbō: Sokka's torture of Katara. He started with Katara having all of her clothes but he decided to cut her 2 arms and 2 feet he then forced her to march towards Aang with no foot, only her cuts. He then kicked her back making her fall in front of Aang how for the first time addressed himself to the executioner with something else than a supplication "Sokka please listen to me" he said while sobbing "She is your sister please listen to me don't torture her please let me take her with me I can heal her Sokka it's Katara your little sister" but Aang didn't knew it was neither Katara nor Sokka only his mind and Sōjōbō playing with him so as expected Sokka didn't listen instead he turned Katara to be on her back and began to stab her but not stupidly: his first stab was for a kidney, the second for the liver, the third for another kidney he then as final blow stabbed her through her lungs wich made her suffocate and spit blood she was drowning once again in her own blood but this time it took more time than before which was unbearable to Aang who sobbed and yelled her name trying to free himself from his bindings

Sōjōbō decided to leave him mourn Katara for a few minutes before delivering the final blow

Katara and the rest of the team arrived at the Southern Air Temple they entered and decided to go into the Avatars chamber as they thought that this was probably one of the most spiritual places of the temple

"Okay I'll meditate you 3 watch over my body as I try to connect to Aang Toph guide me on my respiration and heartbeat"

"Okay" Toph responded a little hesitantly "And how are you going to synchronize your heart beat to Aang's ?"

"Since it's a full moon I'll use bloodbending on myself to regulate my heart rate. Since I am the one who is bloodbent I don't mind because I don't have to impose my will on others. Anyway let's begin" Katara responded

The 5 minutes that followed Katara tried to sink her heartbeat to Aang's

After 5 minutes she succeeded.

A/N Yes I know not cool to end it like that. Anyway, here's the third chapter, sorry it was a little rough. Next chapter I bring zuko in with a new love interest (not mai) you decide if he already is in a relationship with this love interest or not. If I have no answer by next week I'll just have to assume it's yes. Just to make something clear I love Maiko but not as much as Kataang and the couple can be pretty funny also. Before the questions a little inch on who the love interest is gonna be: a french expression that I'll let you think about: les opposés s'attirent :)

Is Katara gonna connect to Aang ?

Is she in time to save her Fiancée ?

Is Sōjōbō's plan gonna be entirely successful

And the last one: How will Aang react if he comes back and sees his friends that tortured Katara ?
