At the Argus base, the Atlesian guards watched the screen as Cordovin's Colossus was seen trying to swipe at the airship Maria and Oscar were in.

"You just couldn't keep this rivalry between us, could you, Calavera?! You had to rope in children to fail with you!" Cordovin shouted.

The guards cheered on their boss as she fired another shot from the mech's arm cannon. Unbeknownst to them, a red dot appeared on one of the radar's screens approaching Argus.

Back at the cliffside, Ruby was still holding onto Crescent Rose for dear life. Oscar noticed this from the airship.

"Ruby!" He called out.

Ruby eventually made her way back up to the top of the cliff herself by using Crescent Rose's blade to climb back up, before she regrouped with Weiss, Ren and Qrow.

"Ruby, can you hear me? Are you guys okay?" Oscar asked.

"Are we okay?!" Ruby retorted.

"I know, we were supposed to lay low, but listen! I think I finally found a weakness!" Oscar revealed.

"Do you have a plan to stop this thing?" The voice of Pluto asked.

Ruby and her friends noticed Pluto helping Jaune and Nora over.

"Hello again!" He awkwardly added, in a tone reminiscent of his older sister.

"Guys!" Ren said in relief as he ran over to his teammates.

"Don't worry, I've got them, buddy." Pluto said reassuringly as he held on to the both of them.

"Thank you." Ren smiled at him before turning to the other two. "You guys alright?"

"Don't worry, Ren. We're fine." Jaune answered.

"Yeah! Not like some big stupid old little doo-doo head will ever get the better of me!" Nora answered, grinning before turning to the others. "Well? What's the plan? We're all ears."

"The cylinder on Cordo's cannon rotates and locks in a giant Dust cartridge every time she changes attack styles." Oscar explained.

"We noticed." Weiss replied.

"Right, but her missile launcher doesn't lock in, it pops out!" Oscar added. "Without her shields, one well-placed shot could detonate the missiles while they're still in the launcher!"

"You mean one of us would have to shoot a missile at that thing?" Pluto asked.

"Exactly!" Oscar confirmed.

"We could destroy the entire cannon..." Oscar, that's brilliant!" Jaune said, agreeing with his plan.

"Can you... make that kind of shot?" Nora wondered.

"We'll only get one chance before she catches on. I'd have to be practically staring down the barrel of her cannon." Ruby stated.

"Well, I've got a way to guarantee that." Maria declared, as she flew the airship back over to Ruby's group.

She stopped and landed the ship with the hatch doors open, and Ruby ran forward.

"Ruby, what are you doing?!" Qrow exclaimed.

Ruby hopped into the airship and headed off to do her part. The others watched the airship heading towards Cordovin's mech, as Ruby smiled at Maria and Oscar.

In the mech, one of the screens had a popup message saying 'ARGUS BASE INCOMING CALL'. Cordovin noticed this, but her attention was then drawn away.

"Hey, Cordo! I've got one missile left and I know exactly where I'm gonna stick it!" Maria yelled.

"One missile you say?" Cordovin chuckled. "That's a shame, Maria, because I have plenty!"

Cordovin had the missile launcher pop out from the mech's arm cannon while Maria continued flying toward her.

"ARE YOU TWO CRAZY?!" Oscar exclaimed in shock.

"Sometimes the best approach is simply the most direct!" Maria replied.

As the airship moved closer, Ruby got into position and aimed at Cordovin's mech cannon. Cordovin gasped as she pulled up a screen, noticing Ruby and catching on to her plan.

"You!" Cordovin seethed.

Ruby pulled the trigger, but suddenly, the missile launcher retracted back into the arm cannon and the bullet was deflected, as everyone gasped in shock.

"You thought you could fool me?!" Cordovin shouted.

She readied the arm cannon again, this time about to fire a lightning Dust attack.

"Pull up!" Oscar told Maria, who pulled up the airship, but it still got partially caught in the blast.

The rest of the group on the cliff moved out of the way, as the airship was affected by the electricity, and Maria screamed in pain as her prosthetic eyes closed shut.

"I can't see! My eyes!" She screamed.

"No, no, no!" Oscar panicked.

"Take control!" Maria told him.

Oscar grabbed the joystick as he barely gained control of the airship.

"We're gonna crash! We're gonna CRASH!" He screamed.

The rest of the group emerged from the smoke on the cliffside, coughing.

"Look!" Jaune exclaimed, as the group watched as the airship crash landed into the forest.

As Weiss gasped, Qrow ran and transformed into his avian form and flew over to the crash site. At the crash site, the engines could be heard shutting down.

"We're... we're still in one piece!" Oscar announced.

Suddenly, he heard the stomping of Cordovin's mech, while Ruby stumbled out of the airship before collapsing to her knees.

"Very clever, but even the smartest apes can't compete with the intellect of man." Cordovin laughed.

"Ohcrapohcrapohcrap..." Pluto panicked.

Ruby used Crescent Rose to stand herself back up. She looked over to the airship to see Maria repairing her prosthetic eyes as Oscar watched in concern.

"Come on, come on!" Maria said in frustration as she tried to fix them.

Ruby then looked toward Cordovin with a determined expression and walks forward. Suddenly, Qrow appeared and took his niece's hand.

"Ruby, stop!" He told her, not wanting to see her get hurt.

Ruby looked back to her uncle, still bearing her determined expression, as Qrow gasped.

"I need you to trust me." Ruby told him.

Qrow closed his eyes and ultimately relented as Ruby pulled her hand away. She walked to the edge of the cliff and stood face to face with Cordovin's mech.

"Surrender for your crimes, and accept your punishment." Cordovin ordered the young huntress.

"No!" Ruby replied in defiance.

Cordovin gasped in shock as Ruby's friends looked to her.

"We're going to Atlas. Bigger people than you have tried to stop us and failed, but we're supposed to be on the same side!" Ruby explained. "We're supposed to use our power to protect people, but you just use yours to look down on everyone!"

Cordovin pondered Ruby's words.

"We didn't want to steal from you. We did it because you gave us no other choice!" Ruby continued. "Now I'm giving you one last chance to stand down and hear us out."

There was a brief silence for a moment until Cordovin spoke again.

"I've heard enough..." She decided.

Cordovin then aimed her arm cannon at Ruby. Ruby's friends ran over to her in panic.

"Ruby!" Oscar exclaimed as he tried reaching out for Ruby.

Qrow gained a look of horror on his face as Cordovin fired up the arm cannon. Suddenly Ruby used her Semblance and flew into the arm cannon.

"WHAT?!" Cordovin exclaimed, clearly not expecting that.

"She's NUTS!" Nora shouted as Ruby continued flying into the arm cannon.

"What's she doing?!" Pluto exclaimed.

"The missile launcher springs out... but the raw dust gets locked in!" Jaune realised.

Inside the arm cannon, Ruby planted Crescent Rose into the ground and took aim at the buildup of Dust. She fired and used her Semblance to quickly get out of the arm cannon. Suddenly, the arm cannon exploded, covering it in ice and stone.

"What?! No! NO!" Cordovin exclaimed over the destruction of her mech.

As Ruby flew backward, her Aura ran out and she fell unconscious. Her fall was slowed down by black Glyphs from Weiss, and Qrow caught his niece in his arms. Weiss collapsed in exhaustion as Jaune, Pluto, Ren and Nora ran over to her.

"It worked..." Pluto said in astonishment, as Ruby's plan to disable Cordovin's mech was indeed a success.

"Ruby? Ruby!" Qrow exclaimed, trying desperately to wake his niece up.

Luckily for him, Ruby opened her eyes and smiled at her uncle.

"Told ya." She said.

The Atlesian airship's engines were then heard coming back on as it hovered lightly above the ground, as Maria managed to fix her eyes.

"Oh, don't tell me I missed it!" She complained.

Meanwhile, Blake and Yang continued to fight Adam and landed several heavy blows on him. However, Blake was then flung off the cliff and her Aura was broken, leaving Yang to engage Adam alone.

As Blake climbed up the cliff, Yang held her ground until Adam unleashed a powerful attack with his Semblance. However, she grabbed Adam's weapon Wilt, and activated her own Semblance, punching Adam in the stomach and sending him flying.

With both of their Auras depleted, Yang tossed Wilt into the river, leaving Adam defenceless, and Blake then surprised Adam with an uppercut.

Then, as the three raced for the pieces of Gambol Shroud, Blake and Yang managed to grab them and fatally impaled Adam, who staggered forward and fell into the river. On his fall down, his body hit the cliffside with a sickening crunch, before disappearing into the water below.

With that, Adam Taurus was finally dead.

Suddenly, Blake started to sob and fell to her knees as she broke down crying, before Yang ran over to hug her, while Blake hugged her teammate back, telling Yang that she wasn't going to break her promise.

Yang replied that she knows that Blake won't break it, as the two girls continued to embrace as Blake continued to sob.

Back at the cliffside, Cordovin struggled to pick up the mech's arm cannon.

"No! No, no, no, NO! You! You're never getting to Atlas! Do you hear me?! NEVER!" She exclaimed before she pressed a button on the controls. "All forces converge on my position and eliminate these pests at once!

"Crap!" Oscar cursed.

"Everyone on board! We're making a run for it!" Maria told everyone.

"What about Yang and Blake?" Jaune asked.

"Where ARE Yang and Blake?" Pluto added.

Back in the mech, one of the screens read 'ARGUS BASE CHANNEL OPEN', as a soldier began communicating with Cordovin.

"Ma'am, we've been trying to reach you! Argus is in danger!" The soldier informed her.

Upon hearing this, Cordovin's expression widened in horror.

"What?" She asked.

At the Argus base, various Atlas personnel all rushed to their battle stations. A pair of guards were seen looking out at the ocean. In the distance, a towering Grimm was seen stomping in the water towards Argus, as it let out a terrifying roar.

"W-What...is that?" Pluto asked, completely stricken with fear.

The Atlas guards then turned around and noticed a massive legion of Manticores and Sphinxs in the air above the city of Argus.

"It's a Leviathan! It began its approach during your battle!" The soldier told Cordovin. "We need you!"

Ruby looked back to her friends in horror, who all share equally concerned expressions. They looked to Cordovin's mech, still struggling to lift up its arm cannon...

"What have we done...?" Pluto asked quietly.

Just to let you guys know, the reason why I didn't do as much describing for the Adams fight as I did the other stuff is because Pluto wasn't involved with the fight, and I'm only going to really be paying attention to scenes where he is important.
