I don't own Star Wars or its characters, but I only own Nadia Aomori, her family and my other OCs.

Enjoy!

Threads of Destiny

Childhood (III)

Jayden and Bridget sat in the living room as they and Rostek listened to his mother, Valerie Horn talk about the Jedi Order in Coruscant.

Bridget wore a stylish tangerine orange dress while Jayden wore green Jedi robes that was similar to his father's.

Valerie Horn was an elderly woman with grey hair and hazel eyes. She wore a long maroon dress with butterflies and streaks embroidered on it and mountain designs at the bottom of he dress with orange teardrop-shaped circles on her collar, a chatelaine belt with a key and maroon shoes.

The one sitting next to Jayden's left side and enjoying eating her Corellian Fried Ice Cream that was in a glass bowl was Nadia.

Nadia was now a ten year old girl with long raven black hair that has square puffed bangs with a large pink bow tied in the back. She wore a white apron over a dark lapis dress that has puffed sleeves, a gold pendant around her neck, white cuffs, white pantyhose and black Mary Jane shoes.

Valerie gave Jayden a book called 'Aspects of the Force, The Light and the Dark' which was written by the Jedi Knight Tasiele Shan, who was an descendant of the famous Jedi Bastila Shan and Revan. Also was the mother of Satele Shan.

Bridget was given a lovely diamond bracelet from her grandmother-in-law.

"I hope your trip from Coruscant wasn't too exhausting, ma'am."Bridget said.

"Not that much."Valerie assured. "But I was mostly glad to live in a grand apartment from the upper levels. The underworld of Coruscant is no place to be and go travel alone."

"Hold on, Grandmother has one more gift."Rostek stated.

"And here's your present, Nadia."Valerie said kindly.

Nadia wiped her mouth with a tissue before Valerie handed her a box.

It was a pink rectangular box with white text covering it. A thick white band goes around horizontal and vertical, where thin pink silk ribbon was tied.

Nadia opened her gift box and gasped in amazement to see a necklace made with small Novian rubies on it.

"A necklace."Nadia remarked before showing it to her sister-in-law."Look, Bridget. It's beautiful. I'll treasure it always."

Nadia got up from her seat to give her grandmother a hug.

"Thank you, Grandma."Nadia thanked and whispered lightly in Valerie's ear."I'm so glad you came to visit. All the studying and homework that I've been doing is such a big pain in the butt."

Rostek cleared his throat as Nadia gave her father an innocent grin before going back to sit next to Jayden and Bridget.

"So what are the Jedi Knights in Coruscant like, Grandmother Valerie?"Jayden asked.

"They're emotionless machines, Jayden."Valerie exclaimed with a slight frown. "Unfortunately, unlike us Corellian Jedi, who permit marriages and attachments, the Jedi in Coruscant don't allow themselves to have these things since they believe having emotions will lead them to the Dark Side of the Force."

Freya came into the living room and placed a tea set on the table.

"They forbid love and marriage?"Jayden said.

"Really?"Bridget questioned as she stroked her stomach that had a slight bump. "That's just sad."

"Well. It sounds completely stupid to me."Nadia retorted as she ate a bit more of her Corellian Fried Ice Cream. "That same goes to the Code they follow."

"Nadia."Freya said with a frown.

"What, mummy?"Nadia questioned. "It's the truth."

Rostek took a sip from his cup of caf.

"Regardless what the Jedi in Coruscant think, I'm gratefully glad to say we, Corellian Jedi, are permitting marriages among our ranks, long legacies and bloodlines."Rostek declared and brought his cup in toast. "May it always be like that."

"Yes."Freya, Valerie, Jayden, Nadia and Bridget said in unison.

Freya, Valerie, Jayden, Nadia and Bridget brought up their cups in toast for their happy life and honoured being Corellian Jedi.

The Next Morning…

Nadia went playing with Hal and the rest of the boys after finishing school.

Since they were only Force-Sensitive children, Nadia and Hal worked together by using the Force to connect a bunch of unused metal to make a astromech droid while the other boys began painting it.

Not longer after, the astromech droid was ready.

The astromech droid had black and gold plating, equipped with a scomp link.

The group decided to name the droid that they created, RG-G1 or G-G for short.

The only thing that was left was to have him powered up, so Nadia volunteered to bring him home to have Jayden power him on.

When she arrived in the entrance of the villa, she found Rostek heading out.

"Hey, daddy."Nadia greeted. "Where are you going?"

"Just out for a while, my little dragon."Rostek assured warmly and notice RG-G1. "Did you make that astromech droid by yourself?"

"Yes."Nadia answered proudly. "Well, Hal and the other boys helped too."

"I'm glad you and Hal are getting along, sweetheart."Rostek praised. "His a good lad."

Nadia smirked. "His just a friend, daddy."

Rostek lightly chuckled and began making his way out.

Nadia was about to head inside, but then saw an object on the floor and picked it up.

It was a silver bracelet had five dark green coarse stones that twinkled a bit with the silver letters 'P' and 'A' dangling on it.

"P? A?"Nadia murmured in confusion and glanced behind her. "Daddy, is this yours?"

Rostek turned out, only to gasp and rushed over to his daughter.

"I was going to leave empty handed."Rostek commented and smiled at his daughter. "Thank goodness that you notice it, Nadia."

"Is it for someone?"Nadia guessed.

"Just a friend, my little dragon."Rostek assured and gave his daughter a wave. "See you in the evening."

"He'll be ready before you even realise, Dia."Jayden exclaimed.

"Thanks, big brother."Nadia thanked as she hugged Jayden. "I can't wait to hang out with G-G."

"G-G?"Jayden said in confusion.

"The droid's full name is RG-G1, but most of us decided to call him G-G for his nickname."Nadia chuckled.

Jayden smiled. "That's cool."

Nadia made her way out of her brother's room and began making her way to her own room until she heard an angry voice rang out.

"I knew it!"A female voice snapped. "His cheating on me with her!"

Nadia recognized the voice coming from her parents bedroom was her mother's.

"Mum?"Nadia asked.

"This stupid thing!"Freya shouted angrily.

Nadia gasped in shock when a small item was thrown out of her parents bedroom and dropped in front of her small feet.

The young girl bend down and saw it was her mother's pink perfume bottle; the one her father gave to her as a gift on their wedding anniversary.

She picked up the perfume and went into the room, where she saw her mother looking at herself in the mirror.

Nadia notice Freya had a frustrated look and was panting heavily.

"Mum, why are you angry?"Nadia asked worriedly. "Are you okay?"

Freya brought her attention on her daughter.

"Yes, honey. I'm fine."Freya lied, looking at her daughter with a weak smile."Just got under pressure, did I scare you?"

"No, mummy."Nadia replied and showed the perfume in her hand. "Why did you just throw the perfume that daddy gave you?"

Freya fell silent for a moment before replying.

"I don't like it anymore."Freya lied with a fake smile.

Nadia stared at her mother in confusion.

"Why don't you like it anymore?"Nadia asked.

Freya went over her daughter and bent down to give her a kiss on the forehead.

"It's fine, Nadia."Freya assured kindly."I just hope in the future you will grow up to marry someone who completely loves you…and will be forever faithful to you."

"Like daddy loves you?"Nadia suggested.

Freya didn't rely and lightly ruffled her daughter's hair.

"More than anything or anyone in the galaxy."Freya remarked. "Promise?"

"Okay, mummy."Nadia replied with a warm smile. "I promise."

"That's my girl."Freya chuckled.

Nadia then headed downstairs and made her way to the kitchen, where she found Bridget preparing lunch.

"Hey, Bridget."Nadia greeted with a wave.

Bridget turned around to give her young sister-in-law a gentle smile.

"Hi, Nadia."Bridget responded. "How was school?"

"Wonderful."Nadia chuckled with a grin. "My grades are improving even though Madam Minchin expected them to go down."

"I guess it means that you are finally taking your studies serious."Bridget assumed.

Bridget cut a couple of vegetables with a knife before placing them inside the stew she was making.

Nadia sat on one of the chairs as she thought about the letters 'P' and 'A' that were in the bracelet that her father had.

"Bridget, does the letters 'P' and 'A' mean anything to you?"Nadia asked.

"Not really."Bridget answered. "Why do you ask, Dia?"

"Well. On my way back home…I saw my daddy heading out in a hurry and he dropped a bracelet with those letters."Nadia exclaimed. "I don't know what they mean. But…he said it was for an important friend of his. But he didn't tell me who though."

Bridget slowly stirred the stew as a small smile grew on her face.

"It's properly nothing, Nadia."Bridget assumed."Your dad isn't someone that keeps secrets from anyone."

A bright smile grew on Nadia's face, feeling better.

"You're right, Bridget."Nadia remarked. "My dad is the best daddy in the whole galaxy."

Bridget's expression saddened at Nadia's respond, but she continued cooking in silence.

Later that Night…

In the Horn House, upstairs was where all the residents were slumbering after a tiring day.

Nadia wore her light pink night dress while sleeping in her bed with RG-G1 close by.

Her room was filled with toys, books and dresses.

The night was peaceful and there weren't any noise heard in any of the rooms.

Then out of the blue there was a sound of broken glass and after a few moments the whole house was filled with toxic, black smoke.

A small flame that escaped from a smashed oil-lamp caught onto the rich carpet and spread onto everything that was flammable.

The young girl was rudely awakened from her enchanted dream as she started to sweat and choked on the poisonous fumes.

Overcoming her sleepiness and disorientation, Nadia opened her ruby red eyes as she gasped what was going on.

To her disbelief and shock, she found herself in a flaming room threatening to eat her in the flames.

Nadia threw off her duvets, fighting both flames and smokes threw her bedroom door opened and rushed towards her parent's bedroom.

To her horror, the entire house was engulfed in flames.

Desperate and fearful for the lives of her parents, she ran to the other bedroom doors and started banging and shouting.

"Mother! Father!"Nadia cried out. "Jayden! Bridget!"

The girl went to another bedroom door and started banging on it.

"Bridget!"Nadia shouted.

To her utter shock, she got no reply.

Using all her might, Nadia tried to open the door to her sister-in-law's bedroom, but the door was locked from the inside.

"Jayden! Bridget!"Nadia yelled out. "Open the door! You'll burn!"

Before Nadia could find some other way to break the door down, she heard the voice of her brother inside the room.

"Nadia, go!"Jayden shouted. "Save yourself!"

Nadia leaned against the door, straining to hear his voice.

The ten year old girl paled when she heard her brother let out a terrified scream which in a couple seconds became silent.

Tears fell down from Nadia's eyes when she no longer felt her brother's presence.

"JAYDEN!"Nadia cried out.

Then she heard her parents' voices.

"It's too late for us!"Rostek shouted.

"Please Nadia! Leave us!"Freya called out. "Save yourself! Always remember we love you!"

Those were the last words from her mother, when Nadia heard something smash in her bedroom.

Sobbing tears, Nadia looked around but saw no way through this hell she was in.

Then all of a sudden, she saw RG-G1 beeping loudly at her before flying outside from the window.

"G-G!"Nadia called out. "Wait up!"

Knowing what to do, the raven haired girl was about to follow her astromech droid, but hesitated.

The ten year old girl couldn't bear to abandon her family.

Before she could decide whether to flee or stay, a flaming beam fell at the entrance to her bedroom, blocking any entry to the room.

Seeing no other options, Nadia jumped out of the window before the flames could claim her life.

She fell into the floor as fresh air flowed through her system.

Using what remaining strength she had left from her nightmarish moment, Nadia dragged herself away from the inferno until she was at a safe distance.

She could only stare at the destruction that transpired in front of her very eyes.

Nadia dropped to her knees and rose her head, revealing her ruby red eyes glowing in pure anger as tears went down her face.

Then she let out a scream, which howled her pain and grief throughout the night.
