Chapter 65: Crystal Crisis on Utapau Part 2
Obi-Wan, Anakin and Nadia were powering up the Sugi arms dealer Endente's massive ship.
However, the trio soon learned that three of the ship's four engines had been sabotaged by the fleeing Sugi.
"What seems to be the problem?"Obi-Wan questioned.
"The three of our four engines are blown."Anakin admitted.
"The Sugi must've sabotaged the engines before making their escape."Nadia retorted.
"With the engines gone, we're going to need to work fast."Anakin stated.
"I suspect the Sugi will be returning in greater numbers soon."Obi-Wan declared."We must get the crystal out of here?"
"We can take it to the nearest spaceport and find a cargo ship?"Anakin suggested with a confident smile.
This caused Nadia to frown and look up at Anakin.
"And how are we going to transport that big crystal to there?"Nadia asked.
The confident smile on Anakin's face dropped.

"Good point, kitty."Anakin responded.
"Yes."Obi-Wan agreed."I'm sure the Sugi are aware of our dilemma which is why they're trying to regroup and rearm. We have to find a way to move it and quickly."
Traveling out of the ship, the three Jedi began looking for a creature to assist them in their escape with the kyber crystal.
"What are we exactly looking for, master?"Nadia said.
"A nice beast to aid us."Obi-Wan responded.
Obi-Wan, Anakin and Nadia spotted a herd of Utapau plains quadrupeds.
"Are those friendly?"Anakin questioned.
"We'll know soon enough once you two borrow one of the creatures."Obi-Wan admitted.
Both Anakin and Nadia were taken back by Obi-Wan's declaration.
"What?"Nadia scowled.
"Why don't you handle them?"Anakin suggested."Creatures always like you better."
"Well, this gives you both the opportunity to improve your relationships."Obi-Wan declared."Now let's split up."
Obi-Wan went to a nearby encampment while Anakin and Nadia headed up to the herd of quadrupeds.
"Come on, move it! Move it!"Anakin complained as he tried to move one of the quadrupeds."One of you things is coming with me today!"
Nadia covered her mouth to mute her laughter at Anakin's failing attempt to make a quadruped help them out.
The Utapau plains quadrupeds paid no attention to Anakin and then ran off.
"Hey, pretty boy."Nadia sneered as she went up to Anakin."I think these beasts are non-sentient. They lack the ability to reason and speak to others."
"Thanks, Nadia."Anakin thanked sarcastically."I didn't realise that."
However, the two Jedi Knights saw a jamel approaching them and managed to convince it to assist them.
"Well, I guess this is better than nothing."Anakin complemented.
Nadia nodded in agreement.
Anakin and Nadia then arrived back to Obi-Wan with the jamel, only for the Jedi Master to become not pleased with his former Padawans' efforts.
"I was expecting something larger."Obi-Wan informed.
"So did we."Anakin stated."But this was the only thing that liked us."
"The quadrupeds lacked the ability to communicate with us."Nadia admitted.
Obi-Wan raised an eyebrow at Anakin and Nadia.
"Neither of us couldn't get a beast to move."Anakin stated.
"Maybe next time you should try and connect with them, master."Nadia insisted.
"Next time I'll bring Master Windu."Obi-Wan joked.
"Yeah."Anakin scoffed."Because his loads of fun."
"Mr baldy with no friends."Nadia muttered with a hint of annoyance.
Back at Endente's starship, the three Jedi returned with the jamel to transport the kyber crystal, which was suspended from the ceiling.
"We have to hurry."Obi-Wan declared while moving forward a repulsor lift cart."The Sugi are likely to return and Grievous with them."
After making sure the Jamal was going to stay inside the ship, Anakin and Nadia went to help Obi-Wan with the repulsor lift cart.
"We need to center it perfectly or it would never hold the weight."Obi-Wan commented.
"I hate it to break it to you two."Anakin spoke up."But isn't the cart going to break when the crystal lands on it?"
"Those are some smart words for comfort."Nadia praised with an unfazed look.
Once the repulsor lift cart was lifted up a bit, Obi-Wan activated his lightsaber.
"I'll lower it slowly."Obi-Wan suggested."There are three of us."
"Are we cutting first then using the Force?"Anakin asked.
"I was thinking we were doing at the same time."Obi-Wan replied.
Nadia looked at Obi-Wan.
"How do we do that, master?"Nadia questioned.
"Well…one cuts the ropes and the other two uses the Force to grab the crystal."Obi-Wan exclaimed."But we need to prevent the crystal from crushing into the ground."
Nadia smirked at Obi-Wan and Anakin.
"Then I guess we'll cut the ropes and then catch the crystal."Nadia volunteered.
Anakin frowned. "Fine."
"On three."Obi-Wan instructed."One…"
Anakin activated his lightsaber while Nadia activated her golden yellow lightsaber.
"Two…"Obi-Wan continued.
Nadia and Anakin glanced at the ropes next to them.
"Three!"Obi-Wan responded.
The three Jedi cut the ropes holding the crystal while simultaneously using the Force to lower it onto the repulsor lift cart.
"That was easy."Obi-Wan remarked.
However, the crystal was too heavy for the repulsor lift cart and it collapsed on the ground.
"Great."Anakin replied sarcastically.
Nadia glanced at Obi-Wan.
"Any ideas, master?"Nadia questioned.
"Not to worry."Obi-Wan assured as he brought forward the items he got from the nearby camp."If we double the output, it should compensate the weight."
Obi-Wan doubled the output of the cart to support the crystal's weight.
"If we double the output, won't the batteries drain quicker?"Anakin assumed.
Obi-Wan pressed a few buttons on the repulsor lift cart causing it to lift a bit.
"That won't be a problem."Obi-Wan commented."We'll be on our way to Coruscant before this cart runs out of power."
Obi-Wan, Anakin and Nadia glanced at the jamel.
"I guess it's now your turn to do your part."Nadia remarked.
The jamel let out a respond.
Having accomplished their task, the three Jedi then used the jamel to draw the cart out from Endente's starship and into the plains wilderness.
Obi-Wan held a stick with a fruit dangling on it which made the jamel move while carrying the massive kyber crystal.
Nadia sat between Obi-Wan and Anakin, who drove the speeder in pulling the crystal's enormous cart.
"This may in fact be the slowest creature in the galaxy."Obi-Wan declared with a gloomy expression.
"It's doing the best it can, master."Anakin assured.
"I have a deep feeling someone within Pau City's working with the Sugi arms dealer."Nadia stated with a frown.
"Yes, Nadia."Obi-Wan complemented."But there's still the question of safe passage."
"We'll get off this planet, master."Anakin responded."Please try to relax."
This caused Obi-Wan to become irritated.
"Relax?"Obi-Wan asked with an annoyed tone."This is turning out to be some turn of events. Did you just ask me to relax?"
"Oops."Nadia mumbled with an amused look.
"Well…what I meant…"Anakin started, struggling to look for the right words.
"We're holding a massive kyber crystal of unimaginable value across the Utapau plains at a snail's pace and you, Anakin, are asking me to relax?"Obi-Wan reminded."If you can't figure out a way to go faster, the Sugi will likely catch us again."
Nadia rolled her eyes at Obi-Wan's complaining as she took out an energy pudding bar.
"At least we don't have to worry about getting hungry."Nadia informed.
Nadia started eating the energy pudding bar causing Obi-Wan and Anakin to look at her.
"Question, Nadia."Obi-Wan stated."Exactly what happened to those energy bars that you said were in 'safe hands' before we left Coruscant?"
An awkward smile appeared on Nadia's face.
"I may have accidentally eaten a few more on our way to Utapau."Nadia remarked.
This caused both Obi-Wan and Anakin to groan in annoyance.
"And that is why we can't rely on you to save rations because of your bottomless stomach."Anakin mumbled.
"And it's a gentleman's role to think of a lady's wellbeing before his own."Nadia declared.
"Since when?"Anakin questioned.
"Since the beginning of time."Nadia stated defensively.
Obi-Wan simply covered his face at Nadia's respond.
However, Obi-Wan, Anakin and Nadia soon became alarmed when the trio noticed they were being pursued by several Sugi riders on speeder bikes.
"I hate to say you were right, master."Anakin complemented.
The Sugi riders started firing at the three Jedi.
"They are going to take the cart!"Obi-Wan warned.
Nadia stood up to activate her lightsabers to cut the rope between the speeder and the cart.
Anakin activated his lightsaber to help Nadia fight the attackers and to hijack one of their speeder bikes.
The Chosen One used that speeder bike to shoot down the other Sugi speeders while Obi-Wan continued guiding the jamel and the crystal cart.
When Nadia saw a few Sugi speeders heading towards Obi-Wan and the crystal cart, the raven haired girl immediately set the panicking jamel free before taking out the remaining Sugi warriors.
"That was the first wave I'm afraid."Obi-Wan declared."And now we have nothing to pull the crystal back to port."
A smirk appeared on Anakin's face.
"Actually, now we have something better."Anakin admitted."That speeder will do nicely."
Obi-Wan and Nadia followed Anakin's gaze to look at one of the Sugi's speeder bike.
While Anakin connected the speeder bike with the repulsor lift cart, Obi-Wan and Nadia piled up the fallen Sugi warriors to bury them.
"I don't know why you two are bothered by their deaths."Anakin commented.
"They might be our enemies, but we must respect as living beings."Obi-Wan informed.
"Well, they're not living anymore."Anakin declared as he checked the speeder bike."I would respect them if they weren't trying to kill me."
Nadia looked at Anakin at his declaration, but didn't say anything.
"I hope this works."Anakin stated as he tried to put on the speeder bike."Come on."
"Try the booster on the left."Obi-Wan suggested.
"Wanna be the one to drive then, master?"Nadia insisted smugly.
"No, no, no."Obi-Wan assured while putting his hands up in defence."Anakin can do it."
After pressing a few buttons, Anakin successfully activated the speeder bike.
"Yes!"Anakin chuckled in victory.
Both Obi-Wan and Nadia smirked at Anakin for his success.
The three Jedi used the speeder bike to transport the kyber crystal cart and quickly head out of the plains.
As they continued their journey, the trio were attacked by a second wave of Sugi warriors.
"Fantastic."Nadia retorted coldly."The unwanted company is back."
"Just in time."Obi-Wan remarked and glanced at Anakin."Step on it."
Obi-Wan and Nadia stood on the cart while Anakin rode the speeder bike.
A few Sugi speeders opened fire on the crystal causing it to deflect their blasts back at them and gotten killed.
However, the three Jedi were still pursued by two speeders led by Endente himself.
Obi-Wan, Anakin and Nadia were all stunned at what they just witnessed.
"What just happened?"Anakin questioned.
"The crystal refracted the cannon fire back at them."Obi-Wan responded.
"I am beginning to see why Grievous would want this crystal."Nadia complemented.
Suddenly, Endente went away from his Sugi warriors to head to another side of the plains.
"Now where is he going?"Nadia asked with a small glare.
Obi-Wan took out his macrobinoculars and saw Endente was heading towards Pau City.
"It looks like his heading towards the city."Obi-Wan assumed and saw a port close by."And there is a port up ahead."
"At least his out of our way."Anakin stated.
Obi-Wan then saw General Grievous' MagnaGuards heading towards him and his companions.
"I'm afraid that time hasn't come yet!"Obi-Wan warned."MagnaGuards, up ahead!"
"Is Grievous with them?"Nadia asked with a hint of worry.
"No."Obi-Wan answered as he lowered down his macrobinoculars.
"Wanna fight them here or in the sinkhole?"Anakin questioned.
"We have to keep moving forward."Obi-Wan encouraged and activated his lightsaber."I say sinkhole today."
"Never expected you to be so adventurous, master."Nadia praised.
"Not my choice, I assure you, Nadia."Obi-Wan replied.
As the Jedi travelled to the port city, Obi-Wan and Nadia stood on the cart and used their lightsabers to deflect fire back at the Sugi pursuers.
This knocked down one speeder and its two Sugi riders into a deep sinkhole.
However, there was a Sugi pursuer left that attempted to shoot the Jedi down with its cannon.
Both Obi-Wan and Nadia held their balance carefully as the speeder drove into the unsafe road of the sinkhole.
"Careful, Anakin!"Obi-Wan warned.
"You're the one who wanted to go to the sinkhole!"Anakin reminded.
"I can't always be the voice reason!"Obi-Wan stated.
"Guess you are now learning the price of pride."Nadia joked.
The three Jedi then spotted the MagnaGuards coming by and started firing at them.
"Looks like the MagnaGuards have caught up."Obi-Wan admitted.
"Not to worry!"Anakin assured.
Obi-Wan, Anakin and Nadia transported the kyber crystal through the streets of Pau City while being pursued by MagnaGuards.
Anakin continued driving the speeder bike while Obi-Wan and Nadia used their blades to deflect the lasers from the MagnaGuards' STAPs.
Both Nadia and Obi-Wan prevented the big kyber crystal from falling off the cart while Anakin struggled to control his speeder bike.
One of the MagnaGuards attempted to sneak under the cart, but Nadia destroyed it with her two lightsabers and its STAP was crushed against a column.
Obi-Wan was able to destroy the MagnaGuard that he fought against.
General Grievous and his reinforcements then arrived to catch up with the three Jedi.
"Grievous is here!"Nadia called out.
"Don't worry!"Anakin replied."I'll think of something!"
Anakin carefully made the speeder bike drove past by several varactyl lizards while the vehicles of General Grievous and his reinforcements got crashed by the majestic giant reptavian herbivores.
The three Jedi reached the city's spaceport just as their repulsor lift cart breaks down.
"Ouch."Nadia muttered as she rubbed her arm."The cart must've gotten enough of your risky driving ways."
"At least we made it, kitty."Anakin stated.
The three Jedi were then greeted by Governor Blom, Inspector Jun and a few Pau'an warriors.
"Governor Blom."Obi-Wan spoke up."General Grievous is on our trial. We can't let this crystal fall into Separatists' hands."
"I'm afraid it already has."Governor Blom remarked.
Obi-Wan, Anakin and Nadia were quickly surrounded by Governor Blom's Pau'an warriors and battle droids, who all pointed their blasters at them.
Then General Grievous' shuttle arrived on the scene.
Nadia glared at Governor Blom.
"I knew you were in league with the Separatists!"Nadia growled.
Anakin glanced at Obi-Wan.
"That's just great!"Anakin complained."We delivered the crystal right into Grievous' hands!"
Obi-Wan, however, was more calm than Anakin and Nadia.
"Easy, Anakin and Nadia."Obi-Wan instructed.
Inspector Jun took out a holoprojector and a small hologram of General Grievous appeared.
"We have captured the Jedi and the crystal has been secured."Governor Blom reported.
"Have it taken back to my command ship."General Grievous ordered."I will be there momentarily to deal with the Jedi."
The hologram of General Grievous disappeared as Governor Blom glanced at the battle droids.
"Load the crystal onto the shuttle."Governor Blom ordered.
The battle droids placed attaching pods onto the massive crystal causing it to float up a bit before taking it to General Grievous' shuttle.
Anakin glanced at Obi-Wan and Nadia.
"Master, Kitty, I wouldn't want to be here when Grievous arrives."Anakin admitted.
"I agree with you, Anakin."Nadia agreed.
Obi-Wan looked at Governor Blom.
"Governor, I suggest you tell the droids to let us go."Obi-Wan warned.
"Then I will have to disappoint you."Governor Blom replied and glanced his men."Kill them!"
Obi-Wan, Anakin and Nadia activated their lightsabers to defeat the battle droids before taking Governor Blom and Inspector Jun hostage.
"No! Wait! Wait! Wait!"Governor Blom protested, looking at the remaining battle droids."Don't shoot! Let them go!"
The battle droids stopped using their blasters as Obi-Wan, Anakin and Nadia shared a smirk with each other.
"Thank you for being so cooperative, Governor."Obi-Wan thanked.
Nadia took out the last battle droids before the General's shuttle takes off with the crystal into space.
"Let's go!"Nadia remarked.
Obi-Wan and Anakin released Governor Blom and Inspector Jun before the two men followed Nadia to another starship to give chase to the General's shuttle.
On their stolen starship, Obi-Wan contacted the Jedi High Council on Coruscant to warn them about the kyber crystal falling into the hands of General Grievous.
Nadia stood near one of the back seats and was listening to Obi-Wan's report to the Council like Anakin was.
"I said the smugglers were responsible for Master Tu-Anh's death on Utapau and arm dealing with the Separatists!"Obi-Wan reported.
"We copy, Obi-Wan."Mace Windu replied.
"A giant kyber crystal."Obi-Wan admitted.
"Did we hear you correctly, a kyber crystal?"Mace Windu said.
"Yes! Massive in scale unlike we never seen before!"Obi-Wan exclaimed urgently."We are in pursuit of a Separatist shuttle which is carrying the crystal!"
"What type of support do the Separatists have on Utapau?"Mace Windu asked.
"There seems to be an entire Separatists fleet orbiting the planet."Obi-Wan responded."We are attempting to intercept the shuttle in one of the cruisers."
"If we send support, it will arrive too late."Mace Windu replied.
"Not to worry, Master Windu."Obi-Wan assured."Anakin, Nadia and I dealt with situations like this before, I'm sure we'll prevail again."
"So carelessly, you must not be, Obi-Wan."Master Yoda ordered."General Grievous escape with this crystal, he must not."
"Yes, Master Yoda."Obi-Wan answered."Understood."
Obi-Wan then ended his contact with the Jedi High Council before glancing at Anakin.
"Cavalier?"Obi-Wan retorted."You cavalier all the time and no one says anything about it."
Anakin smirked. "I am just better at it. That's all."
"Right."Nadia muttered with a bored look before becoming serious."Judging by what we saw when the Sugi were chasing us and Master Yoda's warning, the kyber crystal's more dangerous than we believe."
"Don't worry, Nadia."Anakin assured confidently."That shuttle is not going no where."
The Jedi's stolen starship dodged fire from the Separatist warships.
"I am picking up fighters on our tail!"Obi-Wan warned.
"Nobody likes a backseat driver!"Anakin informed.
"Just try not to get us close, Anakin!"Nadia begged.
"Don't worry!"Anakin remarked."I am a professional! Trust me!"
"As you keep reminding us!"Obi-Wan commented.
During the chase, General Grievous pursued the fleeing Jedi in his starfighter and also dispatched Vulture droids to harry his enemies.
"Packed up more incoming!"Anakin warned.
"I'll give them a greeting!"Nadia sneered.
Nadia started pressing buttons on the desk near her seat to shoot down the Vulture droid pursuers with the ship's laser cannons causing one to crash into the bridge of a nearby Munificent-class star frigate.
"I still got it!"Anakin praised smugly.
Suddenly, General Grievous' starfighter hit one of the shuttle's engines.
"You mean you haven't."Obi-Wan corrected.
The Separatist shuttle transporting the kyber crystal docked in Hangar Bay One of a massive Separatist supply ship.
"Our problems are getting worse."Nadia warned, looking at the readings on her desk."The shuttle is about to dock under that cargo ship."
Anakin began to set the shuttle's autopilot to land on the ship.
"I guess we are coming abroad."Anakin stated and looked at his companions."Wanna try the number 5 special?"
"Better now than never."Nadia insisted.
"Exactly what I was thinking."Obi-Wan remarked."The escape pod trick."
"One of my favourites."Anakin chuckled.
The three Jedi escaped their vessel in escape pods, but get separated and landed in different hangar bays.
Nadia panted in relief as she came out of her escape pod, just in time to witness Anakin's escape pod land nearby.
"Where's Obi-Wan?"Nadia questioned.
Before Anakin could respond, his comlink started beeping causing him to answer it.
"Anakin, Nadia, where are you?!"Obi-Wan demanded.
"We're in a hangar."Anakin replied."Where are you?"
"You two are in the wrong hangar!"Obi-Wan admitted as blaster fire was heard in the background."The crystal is right here!"
"Geez."Nadia scoffed with a frown."Sorry if we're bad drivers."
"We're on our way."Anakin assured.
Anakin and Nadia headed out of the hangar to go join Obi-Wan in the Hangar Bay One that contained the big kyber crystal.
The two Jedi Knights headed into a hallway and hid in a bunch of crates, just in time to see a few battle droids passing by and one was holding Obi-Wan's lightsaber.
"Obi-Wan must've got captured."Nadia assumed.
"And he said I am the master of getting caught."Anakin complemented.
Nadia shrugged in respond.
"No one is perfect."Nadia declared."Not even our surrogate father."
Anakin and Nadia headed in a control room and destroyed all the droids in that room with their lightsabers.
After studying a computer, the duo found that the kyber crystal was being moved into a vault and that Obi-Wan had been locked into a cell.
Anakin and Nadia headed to the prison chamber and found Obi-Wan with a bunch of battle droids that were going to escort him to an execution chamber.
The Jedi Master went out of the way as his former students took down the battle droids.
"Let me guess."Anakin said as Nadia removed the handcuffs on Obi-Wan's wrists."Reciting the Yavin Code again?"
"Yes, I was."Obi-Wan responded."No one seems to remember it."
"That's because it is a thousand years old."Anakin informed.
"Come on, master."Nadia complemented."There doesn't seem to be any other documents governing the rules of war since we see all kinds of war crimes committed in this conflict like faking surrenders or using prohibited weapons of war."
"Well…the idea still rings true today."Obi-Wan admitted with his arms folded.
"By the way, I got you something."Anakin remarked and handed Obi-Wan back his lightsaber."Lost it again? You know this weapon is your life."
Nadia snickered in amusement while Obi-Wan frowned at Anakin's declaration.
"I see you listen to some things I tell you."Obi-Wan replied.
"Sometimes you do act like the fun police, master."Nadia reminded with a smirk.
Obi-Wan gives Nadia a frown.
"Come on."Anakin insisted, focusing his companions at the mission at hand."They're taking the crystal to a vault."
Obi-Wan, Anakin and Nadia rushed off to find the kyber crystal.
The three Jedi slowed down their pace as they quietly followed the battle droids that were moving the kyber crystal into a vault from behind.
"How did you two know about the vault?"Obi-Wan questioned.
"We looked it up in the central computer system."Anakin admitted.
"That's also where we saw the marvellous video of you being held prisoner."Nadia added.
"You both realise getting separated was not part of the plan."Obi-Wan reminded.
"It's nice to know we were both needed."Anakin declared.
Nadia smirked in agreement.
The trio then saw they were now a safer distance from the battle droids.
"Let's go."Obi-Wan whispered.
Obi-Wan, Anakin and Nadia followed the droids into the vault and hid while the droids began exiting the chamber.
One of the battle droids suddenly got a warning of the Jedi's escape.
"All droids be on alert."A battle droid warned."The Jedi have escaped."
"Roger, roger."the battle droid replied.
When the battle droids left the vault, the three Jedi were then locked behind several armoured doors which prevented their chance to escape.
"That is not good."Obi-Wan stated.
"This could've gone better."Anakin commented.
"I could try and hack into the warship's security, but it is just going to waste time."Nadia informed.
Anakin then activated his lightsaber to try and burst open a shut armoured door, but it was too hard for him.
"The door's too thick."Anakin retorted.
"Patience, Anakin."Obi-Wan instructed.
"Patience?"Anakin said in disbelief while deactivating his lightsaber."We're stuck in an airtight in a highly secured vault in Grievous' own ship and we're outnumbered five hundred to one."
"Relax, pretty boy."Nadia insisted bluntly."We're still in one piece, so don't hammer on our situation. Besides, one Jedi is worth a thousand battle droids and there are three of us so if anything, Grievous' stupid minions are the ones outnumbered."
Anakin frowned at Nadia.
"Don't you do that sometimes?"Anakin questioned.
"Only when necessary."Nadia replied with a casual tone.
"While you two choose to complain with each other, I have come with a plan."Obi-Wan admitted.
Obi-Wan, Anakin and Nadia walked up to the large kyber crystal.
"So what's the plan, master?"Anakin asked.
"I plan to wait for the droids to open the doors for us."Obi-Wan explained.
Nadia smirked. "Really?"
Suddenly, the several armoured doors that closed the vault opened, revealing a squad of droids with their blasters ready.
"The Jedi are inside the vault!"A battle droid warned."Prepare to fire!"
Obi-Wan smiled at Anakin and Nadia.
"There. Problem solved."Obi-Wan stated."Now it's your turn."
"Alright."Anakin replied with a smirk as he, Obi-Wan and Nadia slowly held the crystal."They want the crystal? We'll give it to them."
"Hey, droids!"Nadia called out."Catch!"
By using the Force, the three Jedi made the large kyber crystal to knock down the squad of droids.
Obi-Wan, Anakin and Nadia began moving the kyber crystal inside a hallway, only to be blocked by a second squad of battle droids.
"Freeze!"A battle droid demanded.
"Get down!"Obi-Wan ordered.
The three Jedi went down as the battle droids started firing at the kyber crystal.
Obi-Wan, Anakin and Nadia used the stolen crystal to deflect their blasts, incinerating the battle droids.
"The crystal isn't just refracting energy."Obi-Wan declared."It's intensifying the charge."
"What happens if it gets hit by something far bigger than a blaster?"Anakin suggested.
"You mean like a-"Nadia started.
A dwarf spider droid suddenly appeared and then opened fire on the crystal causing while the three Jedi went to hide in another side of the hallway.
The kyber crystal shook violently before deflect the dwarf spider droid's blast and destroying it and causing a big amount of damage on the warship's sea deck.
Obi-Wan, Anakin and Nadia all carefully pecked to see the damage caused by the kyber crystal.
"Eesh…"Nadia mumbled with a startled look.
Anakin glanced at Obi-Wan.
"Well, professor."Anakin commented slightly."Looks like your theory was correct."
"Hey!"
Obi-Wan, Anakin and Nadia saw another squad of battle droids coming their way while attacking with their blasters.
"Let's get out of here."Anakin insisted.
The three Jedi used the crystal to push their way into the Separatist warship's hangar bay.
There, they come under attack from several battle droids and droidekas.
"This is so our day!"Nadia praised sarcastically.
Obi-Wan, Anakin and Nadia all activated their lightsabers to deflect the attacks from the enemy battle droids before going to hide in the kyber crystal.
"This isn't a good place to hide."Obi-Wan stated."We need to find a shuttle and get out of here."
"We can't let Grievous have the kyber crystal!"Anakin reminded.
"We won't!"Obi-Wan assured."We'll destroy the crystal and Grievous' ship along with it!"
Obi-Wan, Anakin and Nadia then all stood up to deflect the droids' attacks again with their lightsabers.
"I don't know what you plan to do, but it better work, master!"Nadia responded.
"I'll get the shuttle!"Anakin volunteered.
Unable to bring it back with them to the Republic, the two Jedi decide to destroy the kyber crystal and escape on a stolen shuttle.
The three Jedi took down a couple of battle droids and droidekas before going their separate ways.
Anakin went to get a stolen shuttle while Obi-Wan and Nadia headed to where a bunch of Armored Assault Tanks were.
Obi-Wan and Nadia jumped inside several Armored Assault Tanks to open fire on the crystal causing it to overheat and to trigger a cataclysmic chain reaction that engulfed the entire hangar bay and warship.
Once their job was done, the duo started running off and used the Force to land safely onto the ramp of the shuttle that Anakin was flying on before joining him in the cockpit.
Obi-Wan and Nadia sat on their seats as Anakin flew them out of General Grievous' warship.
The ensuing explosion of the crystal also destroyed much of the Separatist fleet above Utapau.
An astonished look appeared on Nadia's face.
"Now that is what I call a quick way to clear up a Separatist mess."Nadia praised.
"As I said."Obi-Wan replied in amusement."If we can't have a crystal, no one can."
"Master, you never failed to impress."Anakin remarked.
The three Jedi escaped on their stolen Neimoidian shuttle while General Grievous fled into hyperspace on his starfighter.
Back on Coruscant, Obi-Wan, Anakin and Nadia reported their actions to the Jedi Council.
"It is unfortunate you weren't able to capture the crystal."Mace Windu stated."We may never know what plans Grievous had for it."
"Not Grievous."Master Yoda spoke up."The work of the Sith Lord, this is. Better that it was destroyed, this crystal was."
"I never seen or heard this kyber crystal like this one."Obi-Wan declared with a hint of worry."Was the Council aware of its existence?"
Mace Windu looked at Master Yoda.
"Master Yoda?"Mace Windu asked.
"Out from the stories of old, this crystal comes."Master Yoda admitted."Long ago in forgotten times. When the Sith and the Jedi fought for control in the galaxy. Weapons there were of unimaginable power. Always in their hearts, this crystal was. Just like the one you described."
A surprised look appeared on Nadia's face.
"I read that weapons like double-bladed vibroswords, scatter guns or Sith war swords were used during the wars in the Old Republic Era, Master Yoda."Nadia exclaimed."But never one that included big kyber crystals to cause massive destruction."
"You're talking about children's fairytales, Nadia."Anakin assumed.
"Correct, young Aomori is because in fairytales, there always is a great bit of the truth, Skywalker."Master Yoda stated."A warning this is. Powerful Darth Sidious has become with great designs in his master plan for our destruction. If finding one of these kyber crystals, he can. Another one he will seek."
Obi-Wan and Anakin silently glanced at each other, neither of them not knowing what to say at Master Yoda's declaration.
