Enjoy the chapter and let me know what you think!
Ruby Rose felt the strangeness and change in the air.
There's multiple reasons for that feeling.
One of those reasons was currently happening at a table away from them.
"Would you go to the dance with me?" A guy on another table asks, kneeling in front of a girl.
"Oh yes! Oh yes! Oh yes!" The girl squeals as people on that side of the cafeteria gasp, clap, and even whistle in approval.
That's right. The Beacon Dance is approaching with only a week left to prepare..
"Well, isn't that nice?" Weiss utters lightly but her words fall on deaf ears.
Why, you ask? It's because of the second reason for the strangeness in the air.
Sitting here at their usual table at breakfast, there would already be some degree of chaos because of her and Nora. There was none of that chaos here right now because Nora was too busy bashfully poking her pancakes while Ren gazed blankly into the distance.
While Ruby on the other hand...Ruby was too busy glaring at Pyrrha while avoiding Yang's pointed gaze at her strange behavior.
She's never had a reason to behave this way towards Pyrrha but ever since last night when Pyrrha told her what Neo did to Jaune when they encountered her, Ruby….Ruby wanted to tear her hair out and scream.
"Neo...used your face while pleasuring Jaune with her mouth."
The scene immediately explodes in her mind and Ruby visualizes herself leaning down on Jaune before she manages to process her own thoughts. She shakes her head immediately in embarrassment and mentally slaps herself.
No! No! No! Jaune is just her best friend! There was no pleasuring between them!
She couldn't even imagine how she would pleasure Jaune with her mouth in the first place! Is it a kiss?! A lick?! A suck?! Or all of the above?! She might know about sex and pleasure but she doesn't actually know the details!
Uncle Qrow was pretty vague about that and nowhere in her life did Ruby even think of learning those details. All she knew was that something from the guy goes inside the girl and Ruby wasn't dumb enough to not know where it would enter from.
She knew her body thank you very much but pleasuring someone with her mouth? Does that mean….it's going into her mouth instead of down there?!
Suffice to say, Ruby Rose immediately bursts into a blush at the thought. She immediately resumes glaring at Pyrrha who winces apologetically at her expression.
Yeah, that's right. Flinch from the righteous fury of Ruby Rose!
"What's up, Rubes? You've been staring at Pyrrha ever since we woke up." Yang pipes up from beside her, getting everyone to look at Ruby and making Pyrrha wince even more.
Ruby flinches herself however now that everyone is looking at her.
Curse Yang for being so perceptive but despite that, she wouldn't have it any other way. She just hopes her sister didn't have to call her out like that right in front of their friends.
Now she has to explain why exactly she was sending Pyrrha some looks and Ruby Rose is not looking forward to that conversation.
She could hardly say that Jaune got some pleasure while Neo was using her face. Yang would blow a gasket at the thought of her doing that. Not that she did, but recent events have shown Yang to be overprotective of her when it comes to that sort of thing.
Better to avoid that conversation altogether which…is getting kinda hard when Weiss was looking pointedly at her.
"Is this because of what Pyrrha said last night? About Jaune?" Her partner asks with a raised eyebrow.
Oh, it's about Jaune alright. Just not the specific topic her partner was probably thinking about. Ever since Weiss verbalized Pyrrha's plan of making a harem for Jaune to protect him, she's been sending them judging looks. She'd probably judge them more if she knew what else Pyrrha told her last night.
"What about Jaune-Jaune?" Nora asks with a tilt of her head as Ren's eyes suddenly focus on her, causing Ruby to gulp at their inquisitive stares.
"I…uh, don't know what you're talking about." She laughs nervously but everyone could see how unconvincing it is. She has never been a good liar after all.
Weiss only rolls her eyes at that and a sudden bout of fear shoots through Ruby's spine as she sees her partner move to answer.
Being positioned in the middle of her sister and her partner, Ruby was in the prime spot to elbow Weiss to get her to shut up.
Her partner grunts but nods grudgingly when she turns to see Ruby's pleading expression. She breathes a sigh of relief at that, she doesn't think Jaune would appreciate it if the fact Pyrrha was doing something so crazy comes out without his knowledge.
Come to think of it, does Jaune even know what Pyrrha is trying to do?
The thought hasn't even left her mind when part of the cafeteria suddenly falls silent. The silence was so noticeable that the rest of the student body fell silent as well.
It didn't take long before everyone was staring at the reason as everyone turned towards the main doors.
Jaune Arc has entered the cafeteria.
Now that wasn't so strange and wouldn't usually gather stares like what is happening right now. Jaune entered the cafeteria everyday.
What is different today however is that Jaune Arc walked hand in hand with Blake Belladonna.
Or more accurately, Jaune Arc was being dragged by the hand into the cafeteria by Blake Belladonna.
What?!
Blake Belladonna walked into the cafeteria during breakfast with a satisfied sway to her hips and a content smile on her face.
Anyone who saw her would feel a refreshing air accompanying the usually dark mysterious alluring cool beauty.
Men gawked while women either whispered in envy or giggled in support. However, she does not care about the stares she gathers for there is only one thing on her mind.
"Uhm, Blake? Can I get my hand now?"
She shoots a coy smile towards the speaker before speaking one word for herself.
"Nope."
Jaune Arc, the dork she met who unexpectedly broke through her walls and took her heart, smiles nervously at her but it only makes her giggle.
"People are staring, you know?"
"What about them? They don't matter to me. To us." She replies with a lilt to her voice, parroting the same words he told her that made her swoon last night.
"B-but what about Adam?! The White Fang?!"
"What about them? They don't matter to me. To us."
It sounded straight out of one of her spicy novels! Specifically Ninjas of Love 3: Clash of Clans, where two people so different from each other while belonging to different clans make love for the first time!
It was just so amazing that she hasn't even stopped squealing internally every time she thinks about it. As it is, she has to commit one of the most intimate and lewdest act of affection she knows just to show her appreciation. Holding hands.
So it is with a blush on her face and a smile on her lips that Blake Belladonna approached her friends' table.
Jaune however seems to be too nervous to appreciate the experience the closer they get to their friends' table. She gives him one last squeeze of comfort, feeling his large warm hand against her own before turning to him with an understanding smile and letting go.
"Don't worry, Jaune. You just came from the infirmary and I was only leading you by the hand to make sure you're okay."
They both know that isn't true but as much as Blake would want to cling to him in public, she knew that that isn't just her decision to make. They had to talk to Pyrrha first because she's just as much a part of this relationship if not perhaps more.
Still, their actions have already gathered everyone's attention.
With everyone seemingly satisfied with gawking at them, it is Pyrrha who speaks to them first with a smile.
"Good morning you two. How was your night?"
Oh Pyrrha. Sweet, wonderful, caring Pyrrha. Blake never would have had such a pleasant experience if it wasn't for Pyrrha.
So just to say her thanks Blake leans down and gives the redhead a light hug and a quick nuzzle, rubbing their cheeks each other.
"Thank you. It was nice." She speaks softly and they both giggle as Blake's joy gets shared with a now smiling Pyrrha.
Backing up to give Jaume the space to greet his partner, she sees her own team still gawking at her with Ruby having a very red face. She raises an eyebrow at that but Weiss' words cut her off with a sharp tone before she could even say anything.
"What was that?"
"What was what, Weiss?" Blake asks back with a smirk as she sits down across from Jaune and beside Yang who hands her her own prepared breakfast. Tuna sandwich, nice. It's not much but food is food.
She doesn't even get to munch on her food when someone speaks up, not willing to drop the subject.
"Y-you and Jaune. You were..." Ruby speaks out shakily but her nervousness stops her from finishing her words.
"Holding hands?" Blake finishes for her young leader, who was still blushing by the way, what's up with that?
"That! I thought you wanted to keep things secret." Ruby points out immediately, gathering her confidence in an instant.
Blake could see Jaune flush at that with Pyrrha only looking curiously at her before giving Jaune his own prepared breakfast.
It's a fair point. They did want to keep this thing a secret but just as she told Jaune earlier, she already had an excuse ready.
"What secret? He just came from the infirmary and I was only leading him by the hand to make sure he's okay." She answers while giving them a mischievous wink.
Ruby's jaw drops at that bold-faced lie even as Weiss rolls her eyes at her before returning to her breakfast.
Shrugging to herself and emulating to copy the heiress by focusing on her own sandwich. Managing to take a bite, she hasn't even swallowed yet when Yang pipes in with curious eyes.
"Wow, Blake. You're…awfully cheery today. You'd usually be too busy reading your books by now."
She pauses but then gulps the remaining food in her mouth before turning to her partner. It only takes a moment for Blake to find the perfect reply.
"What can I say, Yang. I'm trying something new." Blake smirks, glancing at Jaune's gobsmacked expression from the corner of her eyes .
"Ha! I like it! Now all you need to do is make some jokes and you'll be purrrrfect." Yang barks before waggling her eyebrows at Blake.
She laughs. Cat jokes? Really? Well Yang's not the only one who can play that game. Besides, cats are supposed to be mischievous, right? She's just going to live up to the hype.
"I don't know, Yang. I think I'm good the way I am, after all, this kitty already got the milk." She speaks in a lilting voice before sending Jaune a wink that causes him to choke on his breakfast.
Yang and Weiss freeze at that even as Ruby gasps with Pyrrha laughing while patting Jaune's back. Nora sending her a thumbs up however was new and a bit embarrassing.
"Milk?!" Ruby gasps with a blush.
"Different kind of milk, Ruby." Blake smirks absently before she sees Yang gazing blankly at her.
"Are you okay, Yang? Cat got your tongue?" She laughs lightly, getting everyone to either smile or laugh with her at the joke.
"I am both proud and mortified at the same time. Now never say those words again." Yang says with a neutral voice, staring blankly straight into Blake's eyes.
Blake only gives her a coy smile before replying while sending a heated gaze at Jaune whose face glows even redder.
"What? Me getting the milk? Should I change it to cream, then?"
That's when Weiss snaps, going so far as pushing her breakfast tray away from her.
"Ew! Blake! That's gross!"
Blake doesn't even look at her, instead she keeps her eyes on Jaune as she speaks slowly.
"Oh? So you know its taste? Have you tried the milk I am talking about when no one was looking?"
Blake laughs as she sees Jaune cover his face in embarrassment when even Pyrrha laughs with her to everyone's growing mortification.
"I have not!" Weiss instantly retorts with a red face.
"Then what gives you the right to judge my taste? Don't hate it till you try it."
"I- what?!" Weiss screams incredulously, getting the attention of a nearby table.
To everyone's surprise however, someone else pipes in in support of Blake.
"Yeah, Weiss. Don't judge it without trying it first." Pyrrha adds with a smile, getting everyone's wide eyes on her.
It is a testament to how surprising that statement is that even Blake's jaw drops in amazement.
"Pyrrha?!" Jaune speaks for the first time, snapping his head so quickly that it produces a blur.
"I have Neptune!" Weiss squeaks panickedly but ever the perceptive champion, Pyrrha pounces on Weiss' weak defense.
"Oh? So if there was no Neptune then you would try it? Try the milk I mean."
The reaction to that was instant. Gasps and choking sound out from their table.
"Oh snap, Weiss-cream! She's coming after you now!" Yang utters in horror, causing Blake to tilt her head in confusion.
After her? What could Yang mean by that? Did something happen with them and Pyrrha last night? Before Blake could think deeper on it however, she hears Weiss slam her hands on the table before trying but failing to speak with her mouth just opening and closing silently.
Weiss eventually locks eyes with a blushing Jaune before she snaps her gaze away.
"O-of course not! As if I would consider used goods!"
Everyone pauses at that, with Blake and Pyrrha even glancing at each other in disbelief before turning back to Weiss. Well now….that's just rude. Before either of them could speak however, Jaune slams his hands on the table in turn.
"Used goods? Used goods?! I'll have you know that this product has glowing reviews!" Jaune glares but Blake couldn't stop the snicker from leaving her mouth even as she blushes in embarrassment.
She can't believe he said that!
She sees Pyrrha blush the same as her while the rest of the table is either too gobsmacked like Ruby, too interested in listening like Nora, or just plain out laughing like Yang. Ren was the only one who managed to keep a poker face but Blake could see the edges of his skin becoming muted.
"Oh you did not just say that." Weiss fumes, crossing her arms together in anger and humiliation.
"Hahaha! I can't believe you said that VB! This is premium entertainment!" Yang laughs loudly, causing Weiss to snap at her.
"You wouldn't be saying that if they made your sister try some milk!"
What?!
Blake's eyes blow wide in amazement at that image even as Yang immediately chokes on her spit and Ruby squeaks in embarrassment while pulling her red hood down to cover her face.
"Weiss, what the hell?!" Jaune yells in embarrassment, avoiding Ruby's gaze with a blush.
"Your partner started it!" Weiss scowls at Jaune.
Before anyone else could reply however, a familiar voice cuts in.
"Started what?"
"Sun!" Jaune shouts in surprise.
Sun wasn't the only one who walked up to them however.
"Hi guys!" Neptune pops up from beside Jaune, waving his hand and smiling at them.
"Neptune!" Weiss shouts in a mix of excitement and embarrassment.
"Yup! That's us. How have you been?" Neptune steps forward, asking Weiss softly.
"We're fine- no, wait! Where have you been?!" Weiss asks worriedly.
"Uhm, here and there." Neptune mutters nervously, scratching the back of his head in embarrassment.
Blake raises an eyebrow however when she sees Sun frown from behind him.
"Ahem." Sun coughs, giving Neptune a pointed look when he turns towards him.
"Right...Weiss, I need to apologize." Neptune speaks slowly before taking a deep breath and turning to Weiss.
"For what?" Weiss tilts her head in confusion.
"For not being there when you needed me."
"AHEM!" Sun fake coughs loudly however.
"Sun, I already said I'm sorry." Neptune sighs out exasperatedly.
Sun only stares at his friend before Neptune breaks.
"...I'm sorry for...trying to pick up your girl."
Their table explodes in reaction at that with everyone there turning to glare at Neptune. Yang went so far as cracking her knuckles in a promise of pain to come, and even Ruby who was usually so sweet glares from under her hood.
"You what?!" Weiss shouts with wide eyes, hurt very obvious in her eyes.
"Weiss, I can explain!" Neptune yells panickedly, putting his hands up defensively.
"Yeah, no. This guy here was putting the moves on my girl." Sun points his thumb at Neptune's casually to which Neptune frantically puts it down before explaining himself.
"Sun, for the last time. I was drunk and she was wearing a white dress. I thought she was Weiss okay?"
"...Oh...So you wanted to...pick me up?" Weiss says softly, causing everyone to look at her.
"Yeah...I guess you could say that." Neptune bashfully replies as everyone seems to calm down once Weiss actually did.
"Then you wouldn't have a problem taking me to the dance will you?"
"...Ms. Schnee...it would be my hono-ow!" Neptune moves to kneel dramatically in front of Weiss but an apple strikes him on the back of his head.
"Boooo! Leave the pretty lady alone!"
"Player!"
They turn to see the source of the voices only to land their eyes on two males waving and jeering at Neptune though everyone could see it is all in good fun.
"Sorry, that's our team. Scarlet and Sage. I'll see you next time, Weiss?" Neptune laughs nervously.
"I suppose you will, Neptune." Weiss replies imperiously but everyone could see the red on her cheeks.
And just like that, Neptune was zooming away.
"Well that happened. How about you guys? Any dates for the dance?" Sun asks with a smile.
"I'm going with Renny of course!" Nora yells out exuberantly, embracing a blushing Ren beside her.
"Wait, what?!" Jaune shouts in surprise, snapping his head towards his two teammates.
Blake and the others jolt at that but it only takes a moment for them to realize that Jaune was already unconscious when Nora and Ren came out as a couple yesterday.
She sees Ren smile at his leader before nodding slowly. "There have been….some developments between us."
"Congrats, man. I'm happy for you. Both of you really."
"Awww, thanks fearless leader. What about you though, who are you taking to the dance?"
Jaune pauses at that, staring straight into Nora's curious eyes before turning to see all of them looking at him.
Blake could see him gulp before flicking his eyes back and forth between her and Pyrrha. She doesn't blame him for that. She could understand where he was coming from.
She glances at Pyrrha only to see her staring straight back at her.
They both knew what that question entailed. They might love the same man but there's only one of them he could take to the dance.
She's completely willing to concede to Pyrrha, though if Pyrrha herself wants to give that honor to Blake to hide their relationship then-
Beep! Beep! Beep!
The sound of multiple notifications ringing out from their table interrupts her thought. And as everyone looks for the reason Blake sees the answer to her conundrum.
"Well, will you look at that? Team RWBY's punishment is to organize the Beacon Dance." Yang whistles in appreciation as she reads from her own scroll.
"Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh! I can't believe it." Weiss shakes in excitement with stars in her eyes. "Do you know what this means?"
"Uhh, that we have to organize the dance?" Ruby pipes in incredulously, finally managing to lower her hood again.
Blake shakes her head however. With her team organizing the dance, Jaune could take Pyrrha and then just reserve a dance for Blake. Problem solved. No drama involved.
She sees Jaune wince at her apologetically but she only rolls her eyes indulgently before giving him a small smile. Seems like he arrived at the same answer as her.
Nora however has a different answer.
"That you got the easy one? Yeah, lucky you. We have PR work with the police." Nora pouts, crossing her arms in annoyance.
That's right. As punishment for the debacle with Roman and the Paladin, Team RWBY was just assigned to organize a dance. As punishments go, it would be considered light.
"No! I mean you could look at it like that but we only have one week left to prepare! The dance is next weekend and we still have so many things to prepare!"
"I don't know, Weiss. At least you guys know what you're going to do. Professor Goodwitch only sent us a message to meet the police. We have no idea what kind of PR work we are going to do." Jaune replies, frowning at the message Professor Goodwitch sent him.
"Ah, I think we have the same punishment. Professor Goodwitch just sent me this message telling me to report to the police the week after the dance." Sun pipes in before turning to Team JNPR with a shiver. "Well, I'm glad you're going there too. I thought she was telling me to go to jail or something. If you don't mind me, I have to tell Neptune." Sun smiles at them before leaving back to his team.
"PR, huh. From my experience they are either going to showcase us in an event or make us interact with the public." Pyrrha points out with a complicated smile.
Blake winces in commiseration, they all knew Pyrrha was famous enough to have been to those kinds of things even at a young age. She is also too kind enough that she would go through such an experience even when she is uncomfortable.
She sees Jaune cringe in front of her as well but unlike her, he seems to have a solution.
"Hey, there might not be anything we could do for the punishment but I'm sure we could enjoy the time before that. Why don't I take you to the dance so we can have fun?" Jaune says to Pyrrha, bumping his shoulder with hers to cheer her up.
It works because Blake could see Pyrrha light up at that.
An official invitation to the dance without it being publicly misconstrued as something more than a friend comforting another friend. Smooth, Jaune. Very smooth.
Blake nods in approval as she sees Pyrrha try her best to contain her squeal but a cute giggle still escapes her mouth as she turns to her partner. "I would love to go to the dance with you, Jaune."
A little bit on the nose but it is a bit of an open secret to the wider student body that Pyrrha was already attracted to Jaune.
"Well that's good and all but there's something we are still missing." Yang pipes up, getting everyone's attention once again.
"Huh? What is it?" Ruby asks, tilting her head in confusion.
"Dresses! We have to go shopping!" Yang answers with stars in her eyes.
Blake's eyes widen at that. Being an ex-terrorist herself, Blake didn't have a lot of material possessions with her when she arrived at Beacon. She certainly didn't have a dress ready for a dance with her. Yang was right. They needed to go shopping.
"Alright! We could make it a team activity!" Ruby shouts between all of them, raising her hands as much as she can.
"We still have classes, you dolt" Weiss reminds them however, rolling her eyes exasperatedly.
"Well it's the weekend tomorrow so we can go then, right?" Blake replies thoughtfully.
"...Yes, I do believe tomorrow would be an agreeable time to go shopping." Weiss sighs but Blake could see the small smile on her face.
It seems she's just as excited as them at the prospect after all. Considering she did get a date then it was no wonder. Turning towards her own lover, Blake sees Jaune smiling at her but something else catches her eyes.
For a moment, just for a tiny miniscule moment, Blake saw Pyrrha's smile beside Jaune drop before it goes back up as her eyes lock with Blake's. Unspoken words flash between the two women and in a moment of insight, Blake's mouth speaks before she could even think of it.
"Want to come with us?"
Pyrrha jolts at that but in an instant her expression turns into one of genuine joy before turning to one of nervousness.
"Is that okay?" Pyrrha asks, turning to Blake's teammates hesitantly.
Blake raises an eyebrow when she sees the rest of her team look at each other before nodding at the same. Did something happen with Pyrrha when she slept in their room last night?
"Of course! We'd be happy to have you!" Ruby replies albeit a bit nervously.
Pyrrha smiles wonderfully at that. Seems like she wanted to join and was happy to be invited to a day out with friends
"Oh! Oh! I know! We can turn it into an all-girls day!" Nora pipes in, inviting herself to the party and Blake couldn't help but giggle at the boys' immediate reply.
"Hey! What about me and Ren?!" Jaune asks as Ren nods enthusiastically in his own way.
"Silly Jaune-Jaune. Only girls are allowed. We wouldn't want you ruining our fashion with your tastes." Nora replies instantly with a teasing smile.
Jaune gasps exaggeratedly at that, holding a hand to his chest.
"Hey! I'll have you know I have great tastes!"
"Eugh! No! I saw what you wore back during the night before Initiation and it does not impress." Weiss shivers and even Blake has to wince at that. She might love Jaune but she isn't going to treat him as perfect.
Jaune's mock-gasp of pain however turns real as he scowls at Weiss.
"Take that back! That Pumpkin Pete hoodie is the best pajama ever. Tell them, Pyrrha."
They all laugh as Pyrrha guiltily looks away without saying a word. Jaune's mock-gasp of pain makes them laugh even more.
As their table devolves into laughter and teasing, Blake has one last thought in mind before they start their classes.
Fuck the White Fang. This is the best.
Fuck the White Fang. This is the worst.
Those were the thoughts running through Richard Bullson's mind as he tiredly touched down in Vale.
Richard Bullson, one of the White Fang's most effective intelligence assets in Vale, has just managed to shake off the grunts who were clinging to him for more information about Adam and Sienna.
It all started because of that damned letter. After handing it off to Adam and getting mobbed by the White Fang in Mistral, Richard had to endure hundreds of questions regarding the contents of that damned letter.
He doesn't know how but everyone seems resistant to the fact that Adam and Sienna dating is just a misunderstanding no matter how much he said so.
Even once they landed in Vale's eastern shores, the grunts kept talking about it. Nowhere near Adam of course, in their own words, they wanted to honor their leader's desire to keep it secret.
Richard hopes of course that they honor his own wish to believe the truth but no luck on that end so far.
Still, as tired as he is, he needed to let someone know of recent developments. Turning around the corner across Tukson's bookshop, Richard is surprised to see an empty lot instead of Tukson's spot.
Clicking his tongue to himself, Richard changes directions. If he couldn't find Tukson then he needed to find someone else.
Someone who knows the underground and could possibly send information to a particular group of people without Richard having to move by himself. Luckily for him, anyone in the information business worth their salt knows just the person to go to find that particular someone.
Junior's Club
Nodding at the bodyguard of the establishment, he is surprised when the first person he sees upon entering is Tukson himself.
"Tukson?"
"Richard?"
Their eyes grow wide at each other before they embrace in a manly collision of laughter and backpats.
"What happened to your place?! Where have you been?! Why are you here?!" Richard asks consecutively.
Tukson only sighs at the questions before leading him towards the bar.
"It's a long story. Lost my bookshop but got employed here as a bodyguard and helper of sorts. How about you Richard? Just what have you been up to?"
Richard's eyes widen again as that before narrowing in an instant.
"I need to send a message." He says instantly, remembering why he was even looking for Tukson in the first place.
Tukson pauses at that before waving his hand up to the bartender for two beers.
"I thought messages were your thing, Richard? I'm the information guy, remember? Besides, I'm out of the Fang now." Tukson replies, handing Richard his own beer.
"Yes, but I've been attached to the cell here in Vale." Richard winces, remembering how he was strong-armed into joining Adam's party by the grunts just so they could keep asking him question after question no matter how much he tried to say no.
Tukson winces with him at that before clicking their beers together. They take huge gulps at the same time as they process that information. With Richard stuck here, it is now up to Tukson to carry any information important to help in moderating the White Fang.
"Alright. What message do you need to send and to whom?"
Richard pauses for a moment before focusing his eyes at Tukson.
"I need you to send a message to the Belladonnas in Menagerie. Their daughter is here in Vale." He says gravely but he jolts when Tukson snorts at him.
"I already knew that, Richard. That's nothing new."
"You knew?! Wait, do they know?"
"I knew and yes, I've even talked to her but no, her parents don't know yet." Tukson shakes his head sadly.
Richard frowns at that.
"Why haven't you told them? I could have sent a message before this if you needed someone to deliver it."
"Because I thought the kid would have told her parents by herself. She could've used the CCT here at any time if she wanted them to know. It's not like the Belladonna's are still part of the White Fang so their call wouldn't have been tagged as suspicious considering she didn't even change her name." Tukson shrugs.
Richard could admit the logic in that situation. Blake Belladonna contacting her parents wouldn't be a bad thing but someone like Tukson using the CCT for a call to Menagerie? That's just asking to be watched closely by the authorities.
If you were innocent then there would be no problem but someone like them who had a past with the White Fang? They couldn't take that risk.
Still the situation has changed, Richard finishes his bottle of beer in one gulp before slamming it down on the counter.
"Tukson…Adam is here."
Tukson immediately spits out his beer straight into Richard's face. In hindsight, he should have seen this coming but what's done is done. Wiping the liquid off of him, he glares at Tukson who only winces apologetically in the middle of his coughing.
"Sorry…..What do you want me to do, Richard? I doubt I could reach Menagerie in time before something happens here even if I travel today. And even if I do, what can we do over there?"
Unfortunately, Tukson was right. However, the perks of being an intelligence asset is he had a wider view of the situation compared to the grunts. He had information.
One reason he let himself be dragged into their unit in the first place was so he could find out what the hell Adam is planning and how to stop it. He might not have managed to glean it completely, Richard Bullson still managed to pick up some things.
Leaning forward slowly, he gestures to Tukson to lean forward as well. With them this close, it only takes a whisper for the words to travel to Tukson's ears.
"Adam is working with a human."
"Roman Torchwick, I know."
Richard shakes his head. He knew the White Fang here in Vale was working with Roman but words with some original members of his unit here points to other people.
"No, no. His original unit here in Vale told me a woman approached their camp once. This was before Adam left for Mistral but multiple conversations confirm there were three of them who came to their camp to strike a deal with him."
"That's too vague, what do you want me to do with that information?" Tukson shakes his head before asking.
"Sources confirm that one of them, a woman, had a Semblance that managed to create a wall of flames." Richard adds gravely.
"A Huntress?" Tukson asks incredulously.
"Yes, where that huntress came from, I don't know." Richard nods in agreement before shaking his head in frustration.
"And you want me to tell that to Ghira and Kali?" Tukson raises an eyebrow at that.
"To be honest, I was hoping the Belladonna's would know more about what to do with information. Besides, I was thinking that they would want to know about their daughter's whereabouts at the same time." Richard laughs lightly before leaning back with a small smile.
Tukson pauses before nodding slowly.
"...Alright, I could do that but what about the situation here in Vale? What do you plan on doing?"
Richard hums as he considers Tukson's question. To be honest, he has been considering running straight to the authorities. There's just one problem. Would they even believe him?
He wasn't naive enough to believe that the police would mobilize just because of his own word but they would surely send out scouts right?
No. Richard shakes his head at that. He couldn't take the risk of them underestimating the danger.
He knew how big the operation was starting to get with his perspective as a man on the inside. One wrong move and the White Fang could still launch their plan early if they felt like they needed to, causing damage to Vale.
He needed to tell someone who would take it seriously and stop the White Fang in one move. He doesn't know someone like that but luckily for him, he knows an information guy that was conveniently sitting right in front of him.
"Know anyone who would take us seriously and move against the White Fang?"
"...I know just the guy."
"ACHOO!" Jaune sneezes even as his team besides him jumps back.
"Bless you."
"Thanks, Ren."
"Wow, that was a big one fearless leader."
"Someone must be talking about you, Jaune."
"I don't know, Pyrrha. Just who would be talking about me?"
"Ozpin."
"Glynda, do you have a report on Mr. Arc's progress on his Semblance?"
"...Yes."
