There exists across the Chaosverse infinity worlds. Many different and radical places, so different from each other it is impossible to find a link between them unless you truly dig deep. But just as true is there are worlds were things played out so similar that it is impossible to tell the difference unless you know where to spot it. The Pharaoh tying his shoes slightly different. Joey Wheeler drawing one card he would never play in a duel instead of a different card that had no use. Pegasus choosing a white wine over a red.
And finally there are worlds were they played out exactly the same. Where every event occurred in lock step… until one change. One seismic, reality trembling change.
And here, on Earth-1H, we see one such reality and the alteration that will alter not just one world… but another…
Selene's eyes blazed as she stared at the body of her lover, cold and lifeless upon the table.
For once both sets of her personality, the regal goddess and the human form, were in utter agreement: so very many were going to suffer for what had happened.
Edwin had gone into Yugi's mind to save him… and his reward was for that heroism was the traitorous tombkeeper Ishizu to kill him. It hadn't even been an honorable attack… she has stabbed him from behind and fled the first moment she could. His little teen friends had screamed and wailed and sobbed when they realized what Ishizu had done upon leaving the mindscape, that it hadn't been some nightmare.
Selene was far past such meaningless things.
"I will… reduce Egypt to glass," Selene hissed, tears in her eyes as she clung to Edwin's hand. "And I will bury every man, woman, and child within that glass… alive. The world will watch them claw and scrape at the barrier, slowly dying from lack of air. And the very last will be Ishizu. She, and she alone, will watch her entire culture suffocate, not even whispered of lest I come to take the tongues of those that dared speak of it. She will know that all her ancestors wait for her to claim her flesh for the destruction of all they built. But they will have to wait. I will spend the rest of eternity tearing her soul to shreds!"
"I'll help," Tea whispered darkly; Yugi and her friends had left her alone, though worried about her being around the Moon Goddess. Even Renard and Yuri had been sent away, Selene wishing to be left by herself. But… she had allowed Tea to stay. She had seen her grief… and the memories of her time as Mai colored her judgment just a touch. Of the potential in the human before her.
Tea's friends had fretted about leaving her alone with Selene, fearful she would become the brunt of the Goddess' wrath.
They had worried about the wrong thing.
"You will… won't you?" Selene said, tilting her head in consideration. "You love him."
"He's my brother," she replied, reaching out and stroking Edwin's cold cheek. "He and I pledged to be family… and I lost him not even an hour later."
"I can't bring your brother back," Selene admitted, wishing she could. She longed to just snap her fingers and have him healthy and whole before her. But that wasn't in her abilities… it would take a Lord of the Afterlife to do that and while Selene planned to seek all she could their payments would be steep. Millions of souls for her lover's. "But…I can be your sister." Selene smiled, her mind instantly deciding what she would do. "And you will help me destroy all that took him from us. Kneel."
Tea, eyes red with not just tears but fury, did so. She wasn't thinking clearly… or perhaps she was finally seeing the world for what it was. Once she had thought there was good in all people. That friendship could defeat any threat. That love could see one through any danger. But Yugi had nearly been trapped forever in his mind. Edwin had died saving him. And every week a new evil arose to threaten those she loved. It came from her family, her own father. It came from her school mates. It came from the rich and from the poor. Evil… evil was everywhere and it didn't care how many times you talked of the power of friendship.
Evil only respected power.
Tea knelt before the Titan Goddess and bowed her head.
"This is but a fraction of my power," Selene told her as she placed a hand upon Tea's head. "It will take time to grow… and to replenish within me. A delay… but we will have forever to exact our revenge." But then the goddess paused and, perhaps because of all that she had experienced, perhaps in honor of her felled lover, or perhaps because she just wanted to be sure… she said to Tea, "There will be no going back. Your life as a human will be over."
"Yuri is already tied to you," Tea whispered, "and Ishizu and Marik want Yugi dead. I can't help anyone like this. To hell with humanity… make me a warrior."
"Not a warrior… a goddess," Selene stated and the blimp began to tremble as she forced a fraction of her immortal being into Tea, the woman throwing back her head and letting out a silent scream. The lights exploded in the room, raining sparks down upon Edwin's corpse as Tea's hair began to turn silver-white…

Brom Bones frowned as he moved through the kitchen, waving his hand and causing the many discarded bones from the chickens used to make their supper the night before to fly to him, locking them together to form an archway. "Find your grandson," he told a startled Solomon Muto; the old man, upon being told of Edwin's death and realizing just how bad Selene's reaction would be to the news, had sought out Brom along with Pegasus. Solomon had lived a wild enough life to know that things weren't going to end well on the blimp. "And his friends. And anyone else, honestly though I am sad to say we can't save all." He paused. "Do not seek out Tea… she walks a different path." Solomon nodded. "This blimp is going to crash in the next 10 minutes. Do not delay."
Solomon didn't even ask what the archway led to. He instead ran as quickly as he could to find Yugi. And Brom had little doubt that the man would be smart enough to be back with just enough time to spare. It was cruel but Solomon knew that sometimes it was better to walk away with some of the pot than go for all and lose everything.
"What happens now?" Pegasus found himself asking.
"Moon goes to war. Tea Gardner will grow into her powers… within a year the Moon will have a second goddess to watch over it, one fueled by vengeance. The Light and Dark Sides of the Moon will finally have their patrons. And this world will bleed for it."
"There is nothing we can do?" Pegasus pressed. "If Edwin-"
"You know the dead can not be returned easily," Brom commented and the judgment in his tone made Pegasus shift nervously. "Never has it worked well when mortals meddle with life and death."
"Of course. But you-"
"Even we death gods have our limits. My duty was to shepherd the dead or bring them to their end… not to break the rules and allow them to return. At best the soul of Edwin Chaos will reincarnate in weeks but he will be a new person… but before it took Endymion thousands of years to-"
Brom stopped.
His eyes went wide.
"He… ended up WHERE?!"

"Well… I wish I could say I was surprised," Edwin said as he looked around the world he found himself in. Red was the color. Red and dark, like new and old blood mixed together. A scab that had been picked at but not fully ripped away, so that new ichor had formed around the dark center. It was like a distorted funhouse mirror of the world he had just left only there wasn't anything 'fun' about it. 'Murder House Mirror then,' he thought darkly.
He himself had found himself changed. Edwin had been at first rather startled by his appearance when he'd caught his reflection, so much so that he wasn't bothered at all by the other monstrous beings that were walking about the streets just normal citizens… well, normal citizens who sometimes stopped to eat someone right on the sidewalk.
His hair was blue now, for one. Now just on his head or around his mouth but there were cuffs of it around his wrists that stuck out from his suit jacket and along his ankles. And the suit itself had been made more… grand… with gold trim and red gems along it. His fingers were longer and tipped with yellow claws. His ears were pointed and curved back. A tail… that was certainly an interesting addition, to be sure. As were the very sharp teeth there were more like triangles than molars and bicuspids, locking together when he smiled. His mouth felt far bigger than before though he only really noticed it when he smiled. The Millennium Key seemed fused to his chest, much to his bewilderment, though that was at least hidden under his shirt so no one could see it or the pulsing golden veins that ran from it into his flesh. Not hidden was the small red X on his chest that, no matter how he shifted his clothing, remained in the same place. And to finish off the weirdness there was the furry cloak he was wearing… with a spectral jackal head that let out a yawn before settling on his right shoulder.
"I suppose burning a half a dozen people alive does punch one's ticket," he muttered even as he held out his hand and summoned Gleipnir to him; even here it was linked to its master. He reached up and scratched the jackal's chin and he wished he could be surprised that, without actually hearing the words, he knew in his head that he and the jackal cloak were linked. His new companion hadn't decided on a name yet but would let him know when he picked one he liked.
'More concerning are the rest of you,' he thought to the multitude of voices that were murmuring in the back of his mind. None were oddly angry or scared however… no, it seemed to Edwin they were rather excited, thankful they were 'free from the Key' and could at least be heard.
And giddy about what Hell would allow them all to do.
It seemed that they had all sorts of tricks they'd picked up while they had been under the watchful eye of the servants of their murderers and were ready to lend him a hand.
"Later though," Edwin muttered. "I need to regroup." He began to make his way down the street, doing his best to project a swagger in his step so that no one thought he was easy pickings. He didn't want to draw too much attention but hiding wouldn't work either. No, he needed to be just strong enough to be left alone but not so much that someone decided to test themselves against him. 'You are handling this too well…' He thought with a mental roll of his eyes. 'I don't know if its because of the weirdness of my life or the fact that I have a bunch more of you in my head to share the panic but I am feeling far more comfortable than I should be.' He sighed. 'Hotel has to be around her somewhere… can easily get a bed for the night and-"
He stopped when he heard the sound of flesh hitting flesh and a sob of pain.
"Damn it," he muttered, ignoring the irony of that statement as he hurried off the sidewalk and into an alleyway behind a nightclub. Hell or not Hell… he was still Edwin Chaos. And he saved people.
He wasn't at all surprised by the trash and garbage and what he assumed were whole puddles of body fluid that stained the area. And wasn't surprised by the sight of a tall figure in a long red coat with a bushy white collar and red top hat using all four of his arms to brutally beat up a whimpering form that lay at his feet.
"You think you can tell me what you do and do not want to do? You think you get to be… creative?" the demon hissed even as he tried to make his voice sound as loving as possible. It twisted Edwin's stomach just hearing it.
"I… I just thought-"
"You don't think. You just do. I tell you want I want and you don't argue. You don't suggest alternatives. You just do!" He grabbed the smaller demon and slammed their face into the ground. "You aren't the writer. You aren't the director. You are the little whore with a gaping asshole who nods their head and goes "Yes Valentino" when I tell you how many cocks I want in your body." He knelt down and pressed his knee into the other demon's back, making them whimper. "Because when you forget that you are nothing more than a mindless husk that does my will… you make me hurt you. I don't want to do that. Why do you make me do that?"
His first thought was to rush in and stop what he was seeing. Use Gleipnir to attack Valentino and get him the fuck off Angel Dust (and how fucked up was it that Edwin had somehow ended up in another fictional world when he died?). But just as quickly as he thought that he dismissed the idea; Valentino clearly had power and while he didn't know a bunch of lore about Hazbin Hotel he knew that there were demons out there that had powers that would destroy him in seconds if he wasn't careful.
'Be smart,' one of the many voices now in his head whispered. 'Be…you.'
Edwin wasn't surprised when the jackal leapt off his shoulders, his cloak form turning into blue flames that shrank down until the jackal was just a floating head. The specter opened his mouth, taking Edwin's coat as he quickly passed it to him before he tossed Gleipnir aside before mussing up his hair and half untucking his dress shirt, doing all he could to look as pathetic as possible.
'You know their type,' another voice purred in his ear, the others agreeing with the statement. 'And y ou know how to manipulate them. Take him to school.'
Forcing himself not to smirk Edwin instead hunched in on himself, making his body smaller before, with a trembling voice, he said, "That… wow."
Valentino whipped around and smiled darkly. "Sorry but this is a private affair. Please go back inside… sorry to have disturbed you."
"I'm not disturbed." He darted his tongue out, wetting his lips. "And there is no way to make it a threesome?" He made himself sound intimidated and scared. Which wasn't too hard because if he fucked up what his brain had suddenly come up with it would mean his torment would get far worse. But oddly enough the fear was making him feel bolder and more so he could feel the Thieves of Kul Elna cheering him on, screaming "Yes… yes… do it!" over and over.
"Sorry but you've got the wrong idea," Valentino told him. "We're just talking… I don't let anyone hurt my dear Angel."
Edwin forced himself not to react to that fucking lie. "But what if it wasn't him that needed to be hurt."
"Oh… someone likes it rough?" Valentino asked.
"I did up there before I… I ended up here." Edwin shifted from foot to foot. "Is that why I'm here?" He made himself sound as meek as humanly… demonly… as possible.
"The big boss is a prude, that's for sure." Valentino moved towards him, all smooth and sleek as valvet. "That what you into?"
"Yeah but… its never enough." His voice become more whiny and grating. "I mean… I'd give anything to get what I desire."
That had the red coat demon instantly perk up. "Oh? Is that so?"
"Yeah," Edwin replied. "Some people…" He rubbed the back of his head and looked away, biting his lip before saying, "some people get off on being dominated. Mind… body… soul…" He gave a full body shudder.
Valentino was practically vibrating; Edwin could almost read his mind and see all the dark things he wanted to do to such an 'innocent' and 'meek' creature. Not just for himself but what he could make off of such a submissive creature. "I suppose… that could be arranged."
"It… could?"
"We are in hell, after all. Souls are a commonly traded thing."
But before the tall demon could say anything else Edwin took a step back. "Sorry, I'm all new to this, just arrived…" He began to back away. "I'm sorry, you aren't interested… you said you were busy and-"
Now understanding just how fresh the meat was Valentino went in to seal the deal. "Oh, don't be like that. Its everyone's first time at some point. You just… need someone to guide you."
"You shouldn't have to waste your time on me."
"What if I want to?" Valentino asked, reaching up and stroking Edwin's cheek, letting his claws graze his flesh.
"You would?" Edwin asked, adding a bit of hopefulness to his voice. "You seem real important…"
"All the more reason to help someone like you out."
Edwin nodded, raising his shoulders and sucking his head down in a cringe. "I don't want to fuck it up though."
"Oh, there will be plenty of fucking."
"I saw someone do it on the street… was kind of confused…" he held out his hand. "We have a deal?"
"That's right," the red coat demon said, grabbing Edwin's hand. "We have a deal. That's what I-"
He froze as Edwin's entire demeanor changed, at once sliding back into utter confidence as blue ghostly skulls appeared around their clasped hands. Valentino tried to yank away but Edwin held firm, eyes glowing gold as his hair turned into blue flames, becoming a burning shaggy mane while dark blue stripes appeared on his face like a tiger's. He felt his body grow thicker, arms and legs and chest swelling with muscle even as the veins running up his neck turned to gold. He smiled far too big as the blue skulls shot out… and formed into manacles around the demon's wrists that resembled blue hands threaded with gold, squeezing Valentino's arms and refusing to ever let go.
"Oh no… I think there was a bit of confusion. Did you think I was talking about myself being dominated?" He leered at the other demon, refusing to let go of his hand. "Sorry… I was referring to YOU being dominated. Did you not realize that? Oh… that was sloppy Valentino. Very very sloppy. You saw some virginal thing and creamed yourself before you even slipped inside. Blew your nut and now its time you pay for the pleasure."
"You… you can't-"
"I can," Edwin replied as he slowly reverted to his normal form… or rather his demonic normal form. HE was going to have to get used to that. "I knew the moment I saw you dressed like a 70s pimp from a C-Movie that you would be blinded by your greed to get some fresh meat. You saw what you wanted to see but didn't hear what you needed to 't realize the deal I was writing and agreed to it without even asking for the details. And now?" He let go of the other demon before he twisted his wrist and Valentino was spun around onto his back, the demonic cuffs then forcing all four of his arms wide while another set appeared on his ankles. "Oh, look at that… spreading for little ol' me?" And flick of his hand and the demon screamed as his legs were forced behind his head, bones cracking and popping as joints were forced into positions they should be in.
Jackal raced back to him, handing Edwin his jacket before settling onto his shoulders, forming into his cloak once more.
"Do you know who I am? Realize what I will do to you? I will tear you apart while the poorest filth toss nickels into the pussy I carve into you!" Valentino snarled only to find himself going utterly silent when Gleipnir rocketed into Edwin's hand… and unspoiled before the end of the whip began to slither towards his rear.
"The better question is… do you know who you are?" Edwin taunted as the end of the whip began to lightly flick and strike the demon's still covered ass… though each strike did cause material to be sliced away. "Because I think it should be clear exactly who you are… what you are, Valentino." He squatted down. "Go ahead… say it."
"Fuck you!"
That only made Edwin laugh. "You tongue your Great Aunt Gertie's asshole with that mouth?" He shook his head before rising up, cracking Gleipnir. Valentino let out a scream of pain as the whip lashed against his ass, leaving a deep cut that leaked blood all over the alleyway's filth-covered floor.
"You… you are new…" Valentino got out and despite trying to show some bravado it was clear he was growing terrified of his situation. "Where did you get the heavenly weapon?"
"Heavenly?" Edwin asked with a tilt of his head. "Oh… oh no no no. This isn't an angelic weapon. This?" He ran his hands along the whip. "This is a godly weapon."
"…that's not-"
"Possible?" Edwin asked. "Focus on that mark I left on that flat board you call an ass. Notice how it is still burning? Still hurting? In fact it seems to be getting worse? That isn't mere angelic power there, sweetheart." He flashed a razor sharp smile. "That's godly energy right there." He chuckled as he spun his cane before whipping Valentino again, leaving now an X cut on his ass. "And I should know gods… I'm dating one."
"You're insane."
"Maybe," Edwin replied. "We'll find out soon enough. I doubt Selene will be happy with me down here and will come storming in to get me back. But until then I do need to entertain myself and I think taking over this entire damn realm will keep me busy." He raised his hand and Valentino was lifted in the air, the cuffs flickering for a moment so that Edwin, and the other two demons in the alley, could clearly see the ghostly forms of two Egyptian Thieves, their forms made up of blue flames and spots of gold, holding up Valentino even as they twisted his limbs into the position Edwin wanted. Just as quickly as they appeared though they were done, the only sign they were there being the standing pimp demon and the fact that Edwin's jackal cloak let out a snicker. "Shhh, daddy's talking," Edwin said, reaching up and itching the jackal's chin. He knew he should be disturbed by all of this but frankly… he just couldn't bring himself to care. "Now… tell me what you are." He closed raised his hand and slowly began to clench his fingers and burning handprints appeared on Valentino, growing darker as those areas began to compress…
"Your's."
"My what?"
"Your bitch!" Valentino spat out.
"Wrong," Edwin leered, startling the demon. "My girl would be very angry if I cheated. You're just my plaything."
Valentino scowled at that. "When Vox and Velvet find out about this-"
"You really don't understand how to barter, do you? Telling me that no matter what I'm doomed doesn't make me think "Gee, I should stop this." It makes me figure that I have nothing to lose." He shook his head. "How did YOU end up with so much power if you're this dumb? God, taking over Hell will be easier than I thought!" More burning handprints appeared on Valentino's face, forcing his jaw shut. "As for your friends? They won't find out, Val, they won't! Because you are going to act completely normal. Not say a word to them. Business as usual! Direct your pornos. Mingle at your clubs. You're your employees even as they wish you to be reduced to nothing. Treat things like normal until I decide I want you to do something for me. Because I'll be right there behind your shoulder, even if you can't see me. Because I am Legion…" A chorus of voices joined in with his own, the spirits of Kul Elna adding to his words, "for we… are… many."
And then the hand prints disappeared and Valentino fell to the ground, tumbling like a puppet whose strings had been cut. Except he knew that the strings were still there, waiting to be pulled taunt. He glared at the new demon but the one that held his soul merely raised an eyebrow and, after a moment, Valentino rose to his feet and left with as much dignity as he could, tugging on his cuffs to hide the manacles; Edwin decided not to tell him that only those he CHOSE to see them would. The ghosts of Kul Elna would appear and disappear as they wished.
"I wonder how he's going to try and get out of this," Edwin said before glancing at Angel Dust.
"Uh… I can just go-"
"Get up and get me to Hazbin Hotel," Edwin said simply, Gleipnir returning to its cane form. "I need a place to crash."
Angel swallowed at that. "Listen, I'm not sure what you've heard but it isn't a flop house. Charlie-"
"Wants to help demons get into Heaven. I can understand that." Edwin leaned on his cane, rocking back and forth. "Sounds like my kind of place." He paused. "And considering I own Valentino and he owns you… that means I own you." His jackal chuckled before rummaging within the cloak… and pulling out Angel's contract with Valentino. "But unlike your last owner… I am willing to end contracts if I'm pleased. You do want to please me… right?"
"…yeah boss."
"Edwin. Just call me Edwin." Angel swallowed and quickly brushed himself off, hurrying out of the alley while Edwin walked at a more leasurely pace.
So I fell
You'll all pray I leave and stay gone
Raise some Hell
I am something new
Going to create a different status quo
Who knows what I'll do?

Author's Notes: So… this started off as a simple little Omake for what Edwin would be like in Hazbin Hotel. Was supposed to be… at most 2000 words.
4500+ words later and we have this.
I'm not sure if I will continue this or if it will just be a one-shot but I had a shit ton of fun writing it and if there is a demand I'd love to do more. Not just Edwin in Hell but how the timeline can get worse for everyone. There are plenty of Yugioh characters I'd love to do Demon Forms for that Edwin would encounter…
A few details to cover.
Edwin's Design- I decided to base it on Master Cerberus, a card Edwin has used. I figured since he died thanks to a mental attack during a tournament his body would take some elements from one of his cards and Master Cerberus was perfect. And he gets Jackal as a friend! The fire elements are because of him burning the Rare Hunters alive, the sin that doomed him to Hell here (or rather that allowed some force to keep him from Heaven). The Kul Elna spirits being with him in Hell is another fun addition that makes his powers different.
How is Edwin stronger than Valentino?- Well… is he? Edwin tricked him and was able to force him into a deal and once that was done Valentino was powerless against him. Also, Edwin has a bunch of souls adding him AND he spent a lot of time gathering magical weapons. As the Lady of the Forge said he was the god of chaos waiting to be born.
How did Edwin switch the deal with Valentino?- Its all about what is and isn't said. Valentino thought Edwin was offering his soul to be dominated… instead Edwin was offering to claim Valentino's soul. Because Edwin was the one to ask "Do we have a deal" that made HIM the one offering. Valentino, thinking he was a meek submissive fool, had his guard down and… yeah.
