AN: There is another battle in this chapter, so, there is violence, some might be considered a bit gruesome, but hope you enjoy.

Chapter 66: Battle On Midgard.
"I am starting to believe Odin did not know what the hell he was talking about." Loki scowled as he paced back and forth; he, Regulus, and Thor were standing in the middle of the street in front of the warehouse where Thor and Harry found the Aether. Loki guesses it was where Malekith would show up since it was where the portals were forming; workers had cleaned up most of the mess left by the Aether, and they had towed away all the wrecked cars; even Sirius' motorcycle was now gone from the building across the street. Loki had made a note to find out where they took it so he could get it back for Sirius, though it likely had a lot of damage. Sirius would probably be better off just buying a new one, but that bike was special to Sirius because Harry and he built it together; it wasn't a good idea to leave a motorcycle with magical enchantments in the hands of Muggles.
"You need to be patient, brother, " Thor said, glancing behind him at Loki as he continued to pace; even though most of the mess had been cleaned up, there were still workers around, removing the debris and securing the area, along with a few people who worked in the buildings around them, and the three of them was getting a lot of stares, as onlookers pointed at them, even pulled out phones recording them, which annoyed Loki, he wished they would all just go home or somewhere else.
"Patient?" Loki stopped pacing and glared at Thor, "We have been here for what feels like forever, and Malekith has yet to show up with my son. I am starting to doubt this is where he was going."
"We've only been here ten minutes," Regulus said; he was standing by Thor, still wearing Loki's armor, though the helmet was left on Asgard since Regulus had thrown it off during the battle, because the damn thing was heavy and he needed to be able to move his head while he was fighting the dark elves. Regulus crossed his arms and looked bored, but anyone who knew him would know he was wearing a mask. Regulus was raging with so many emotions inside he couldn't even tell which was worse; anger, fear, worrying, and hatred were the strongest ones; they were hard to push into the back of his mind, while Regulus tried not to think about his brother on another planet, likely dying at this moment. He couldn't even be with him because some ugly bastard had kidnapped his nephew, and Regulus had to help get him back.
Loki glared at Regulus before he continued to pace. He started picking at his left hand while mumbling to himself, and after a while, he started scowling at no one; Loki just wanted Malekith to arrive so he could kill him, get Harry back, and then go back to Asgard, to Sirius' side. Hopefully, Eir had found a cure by now, and Sirius was on his way to recovery, but something was telling Loki that was not the case. But if his feelings were right, he'd find the cure himself because there was no damn way he was allowing Sirius to die.
"Keep talking to yourself, brother, and people will think you're crazy," Thor said. Loki paused once more and glared at Thor as a dagger appeared in his hand. Loki stepped toward Thor, who pulled Mjolnir for his belt and held it up. Thunder rumbled, Thor warning his brother not to start anything with him right now. Loki scowled; his dagger disappeared from his hand as he turned from Thor and began to pace again.
"Sirius and I used to fight all the time, but we never tried to kill each other; you two have a strange relationship," Regulus commented.
"My lighting would not kill Loki," Thor said. "I've used it on him many times during disagreements."
"And Thor always recovers when I stab him," Loki said. Regulus looked at them both like they were crazy.
"You consider sending blots of electricity through your brother a mere disagreement?" Regulus demanded, then turned to Loki. "And you will stab your brother over a disagreement?"
"Not always," Loki replied, "Sometimes I do it as a joke."
"A joke?" Regulus said, looking between the two. Loki nodded, smiling as if lost in memory. Regulus took a couple of steps over, moving away from the Asgardian brothers, while thinking about how insane it was that his family was the most normal of the three of them. They fell silent, and another ten minutes passed before Loki demanded.
"What is taking him so long?"
"We killed most of his army; he's probably stopped to gather more fighters," Thor said, and Loki groaned and went back to pacing. It would be another thirty minutes before a dark shadow fell over them, and the three looked up to see a giant aircraft lowering itself onto the street. They weren't the only ones to notice either; the people at the buildings near them all paused what they were doing and looked up; there were a few gasps and a couple of shouts; some people even ran back inside. A couple of people stopped recording the three of them standing there and instead used their phones to call the police.
"It's about damn time," Loki mumbled, his daggers forming in his hands, as he moved to stand in between Regulus and Thor, who pulled Mjolnir from his belt and Regulus pulled out his wand; they watched as the craft landed and a few of the people standing nearby screamed, a couple more started making calls on their phones, more ran inside or hid behind something. Loki heard a lot gasped and even a few squeals as the craft's door began to open. The moment it landed on the ground with a thump, dozens and dozens of Dokkalfar started pouring out; they were carrying swords. Loki glanced at Regulus, then made one of his daggers disappear from his hand, and his sword appeared in its place, and he held it towards Regulus.
"This might be useful," Loki said; Regulus took it looking confused.
"Is this the Sword of Gryffindor?" Regulus demanded, looking at the name etched into the top of the blade. Loki smirked.
"Congratulations, Regulus, you may be the first Slytherin to use that sword," Loki replied.
"Do me a favor, don't tell Sirius; I don't need any; this means you're a true Gryffindor rubbish from him," Regulus said. Loki laughed as he made a dagger appear in his empty hand.
"No promises." Loki teased, causing Regulus to groan.
"Harry," Thor said. Malekith's new army was all off the craft, and they had gathered around in front of it, blocking their way to Malekith and Harry; the two were the last off of the craft. Loki's nostrils flared at the sight of Malekith's arm around Harry's shoulders while he whispered what Loki guessed was instructions in his ear; Loki grew so angry that he wanted nothing more than to kill them all. He gripped the handles of his daggers tightly and schooled his features, hiding his emotions; he took a deep breath and then turned to Thor.
"Brother, if you get to Malekith first, you can have your fun with him, but remember, his death belongs to me," Loki said; by the tone of his voice, Thor knew Loki was serious and decided it wouldn't be a good time to have Loki's anger pointed at him.
"Understood," Thor replied, and then as if they were psychically connected, Loki, Thor, and Regulus simultaneously charged at the Dokkalfar; Regulus was the first to reach one, and he raised Loki's sword, sliced the elf's head off, and then pointed his wand at another, Regulus didn't speak a spell, but going by the green light that shot out of it and hit a Dokkalfar in the chest. He fell to the ground, staring unblinkingly at the sky; Loki knew what spell Regulus had used, and going by the look on his face, it was likely the first time, too. Fortunately, the surprise at what Regulus had done didn't last long, and Regulus fired spell after spell, curse after curse, and hex after hex at the Dokkalfad; it wasn't all the same either; they were all different. Regulus turned one elf to stone, then used a spell to freeze another in place, and then used Loki's sword to cut off its head; he turned a group of Dokkalfar into birds. He even sent a jinx at a couple of elves' feet, causing them to be sucked into the ground.
Clouds started forming in the sky, thunder rumbled, and it began to rain as Thor tossed Mjolnir at the Dokkalfar, taking a few at a time down before the hammer returned to Thor's hand, then he'd throw it again. An elf swung at him with his sword; Thor grabbed his arm, stopping the blow, then turned the elf around to where he was trapped under his arm by his neck, then fell to the ground back first, bringing the elf down with him, the movement broke the elf's neck. Thor jumped to his knees, grabbed an ankle of another, and, using all his strength, jerked his leg out from under him, causing the elf to slam on the ground, hitting his head so hard it cracked his skull, and he instantly died. Another Dokkalfar came at Thor; he climbed to his feet, got him in a headlock, and then fell back, slamming his head into the ground; he quickly got back to his feet and punched another elf so hard that he went flying into the air and out of sight. Thor called Mjolnir to him, then slammed it down on the ground, shooting lighting out, striking ten Dokkalfar at once. Then, he stood up straight and started tossing his hammer around again.
Loki flipped his daggers, then reached out to his left and stabbed a Dokkalfar that was coming at him; at the same time, he threw the other one and got the Dokkalfar in the throat, and he crumbled to the ground; it was surprisedly easy to beat the dark elves, and Loki didn't know if they had always been this easy to fight or if they were just a bit rusty since they just woke from a 2,000-year nap.
Loki glanced at Harry, making sure he was still okay. He was still standing by Malekith, but now he had his arms raised, hands held out towards the sky; as Loki watched, his hands started to turn red, as the sky began to darken as if the sun had decided to sit early, Loki wasn't the only one to notice, the people around them started looking up, but Loki didn't know if they realized what was happening or if they just thought Thor's storm clouds were causing it. Loki heard another rumble of thunder, and lightning flashed across the sky. While Loki had his mind on the sky, a dark elf tried to attack him from behind, resulting in the elf getting flipped over Loki's shoulder. He dropped to one knee and snapped his neck. Without another thought, he stood back up and hurried over to where an elf was sneaking up behind Regulus. Loki appeared behind the elf, reached out with both hands, and snapped his neck; the elf's body fell to the ground, and Loki made a dagger appear, tossed it at another elf, and blasted another away with magic.
Regulus turned to him and nodded as Loki stepped up next to him. Together, they stood side by side, taking down the Dokkalfar; they used magic, weapons, and even their hands. They made a pretty good fighting team, and both seemed to be having fun taking their anger, fear, and worry out on the other fighters; as they went through them quickly, Regulus was determined to make them all pay for his brother's serious injury, and Loki is determined to get through them all quickly, so, he could reach Harry.
Loki noticed Regulus seemed to enjoy turning the elves into other creatures; he turned some into birds, rabbits, frogs, and even worms. Regulus also would send a hex or jinx at them that either froze them in place or caused their shoes to stick to the ground. Making it easier to kill them; he also learned that Sirius' baby brother knew some pretty dark spells when he watched Regulus send a spell at one of the elves that sliced his neck open. Loki decided not to tell Sirius the kind of dark magic Regulus knew, or that he also turned less dark magic more menacing, by turning an elf into glass, then sent a charm at it, blasting the elf to pieces, which was a pretty cool move in Loki's opinion, another thing he did was use the Knockback jinx to knock a Dokkalfar back, causing him to land on a spikey iron fence across the road, with two of the spicks going through his chest.
"It's kind of fun fighting beside you," Regulus said as he took down the last elf close to him. "As long as you don't stab me."
"Likewise," Loki replied, turning to Regulus with a smirk.
"You are definitely a Slytherin," Regulus said as Loki took down two Dokkalfar at once.
"I would not say that to Sirius; he might break down at the thought of being with a Slytherin." Loki joked, thrusting out his right hand and sending another Dokkalfar flying through the air, where he landed on top of a parked car.
"We should have you sorted just for the hell of it," Regulus said, raising Loki's sword, causing a Dokkalfar running at him to impale himself on the blade. He then pulled it out, and the elf fell to the ground.
"That would be interesting, but I'd rather not know for Sirius's peace of mind," Loki replied, then he reached out, pushed Regulus to the side, and tossed a dagger at a Dokkalfar, getting him between the eyes; Regulus let out a bark of laughter, that greatly resembled Sirius', which tugged at Loki's heart, reminding him how hurt Sirius was, he had always found that laugh slightly annoying, but now, Loki's heart broke at the thought of never hearing it again.
A thunderous rumble of thunder jarred Loki out of his thoughts as the rain started pouring from the sky. Regulus and Loki turned from each other and returned to the battle. They took out a good number of the Dokkalfar, and the people standing around were starting to grow braver; as they got closer to the fight, Loki had just taken out four Dokkalfar when he heard someone coming up behind him; he spun around about to drive his dagger into another one, but paused as the person behind him was a Midgardian Muggle, who was holding his phone out towards Loki.
"Are you recording me?" Loki demanded; the guy, startled at Loki speaking to him, slightly lowered his phone and mumbled something Loki couldn't understand, causing him to growl as he reached out and snatched the phone out of the guy's hand and snapped it in half.
"Hey, " he cried but fell silent when Loki glared up at him; then Loki stumped his foot and yelled, "boo," and the Midgardian Muggle turned and fled down the street; he then looked to his side to see a small group of people staring at him from behind a car, Loki smirked and gave them a wave, and they squealed and ducked behind the vehicle. Loki burst out laughing. Finding it very amusing that Midgard was still frightened of him because of New York.
"Brother, Harry!" Thor suddenly yelled. Loki turned around in time to see him and Malekith disappear through a portal as they fought; Loki looked around but didn't see Harry anywhere, and just as he was starting to wonder if Harry hadn't disappeared through a portal too, Regulus screamed for him to look up. Loki looked towards the sky, and his heart nearly stopped at the sight of Harry floating in the air; a bright red glow surrounded him as it suddenly turned dark as night, and the street lights turned on. There were more screams among the onlookers, many of who either lowered their phones to look around or turned their phones to the sky; down the end of the street, there were flashing lights where police had the road blocked, not allowing people through after they deciding it was best to let Thor do what he needed, there were also some news vans which Loki didn't like, he didn't want Harry's face all over the news, while they made him look like some evil villain.
"How the hell did Harry get up there?" Regulus demanded, just as Thor and Malekith appeared, but only briefly. They fell back through another portal as Malekith tackled Thor, and Loki hoped his brother remembered he called dibs on killing the bastard.
"The Aether," Loki replied, "Will you be okay if I-"
"Go, get him down," Regulus said before Loki could even finish his question, and without another word, Loki walked off from Regulus, who turned back to fighting the few Dokkalfar that were left; the crowd that had gathered around all gasped, as Loki started walking up towards Harry as if he was walking up invisible stairs, in reality though, he was using his telekinesis to lift himself in the air next to Harry.
"Harry, sweetheart," Loki said, and Harry turned his head to look at him; his eyes were completely red, but not scarlet like a Jotunn, more of a dark red, almost black, giving Harry an empty look, and Harry was not only red and glowing, but his hair was also starting to turn red.
"Son, listen to me, if you bring enteral darkness upon the Nine Realms, nothing will be able to grow, and people will begin to starve, then turn angry, it'll cause wars, people will get hurt and die, you do not want-"
Harry thrust out a hand and shot a blast of energy toward Loki; it hit him, sending him flying backward; luckily, he was able to stop himself before hitting the ground, straightened up, and then, once again, lifted himself towards Harry, who had gone back to what he had been doing, as everything grew even darker.
"Harry," Loki said, and once again, Harry turned to him with an empty look; rain was still pouring down, and they were surrounded by storm clouds, with lightning flashing all around them. Loki knew the convergence must be complete if Thor's storm was going on with him bouncing around through other realms; it must mean the Nine Realms were now aligned, connecting them. There wasn't much time left before Harry would be able to complete the task Malekith gave him, and there was only one way Loki knew to stop him, and that was to get the Aether out of him now, and the only way Loki could think to do that was to offer up a more powerful host. Loki extended his telekinesis ability to help hold Harry up so he wouldn't fall, then looked into Harry's empty red eyes and spoke directly to the Aether.
"You want a host, then come get me, leave my child alone," Loki said, holding both hands out. "You love feeding on power; I am a god, much more powerful than a mere wizard." Loki winched after saying that; it sounded like he had just insulted Harry.
Harry narrowed his eyes, but then his whole body turned toward Loki. A strike of lightning flashed between the two, and after a moment of just staring, Harry gasped as his arms suddenly flew back, and his chest arched out. The Aether started leaving Harry's body and heading towards Loki, moving slower than Loki would like, but at least it was leaving his son. Loki had a stronger mind and had dealt with infinity stones before. The Aether couldn't take over his body and control him. Once the Aether was in him and Harry was safely on the ground, Loki would kick the Aether out and put it in the container Frigga had given him for it.
But of course, Loki's plan wouldn't go as he had hoped; by some weird coincidence, the moment the Aether was out of Harry and slowly moving towards Loki, Malekith appeared, falling through a portal to Loki's left. He fell right through the Aether, and it surrounded him, sinking into his skin, causing Malekith to glow as he continued to fall toward the ground. The shock of Malekith's sudden appearance caused Loki to lose concentration, and he and Harry started falling toward the ground. Loki quickly stopped himself and then held out his hand. A green glowing net formed under Harry, catching and stopping him mid-fall. Loki lowered him safely to the ground, and Regulus immediately ran towards him to check on him as Harry lay unconscious.
Loki turned off his telekinesis and let himself drop to the ground; he landed on his feet, walked over, knelt next to Harry, and felt his pulse; it mainly felt normal, just a little fast. Just to be sure, Loki felt Harry's wrist and felt his forehead.
"He is just exhausted, I believe," Loki said; he looked around. Regulus had managed to take out what was left of the Dokkalfar; Malekith was the only one left, and Loki decided now was the perfect time to correct that. "Would you stay with him, please? I have some unfinished business to take care of."
"Of course." Regulus said, sitting next to Harry, "But be sure to give that bastard a hit from me."
Loki watched as Malekith floated up into the sky; lightning flashed, thunder rumbled, and pea-sized hail began to fall. Loki cast a protective barrier over Harry and Regulus, and then his sword formed in his hand, and Loki took off running towards Malekith, then lifted himself in the air again; when Loki was close enough, he swung his sword, aiming for Malekith's neck, but the elf king ducked, then sent a blast of energy at Loki, he was able to dodge it and sent a blast of magic at Malekith, it struck him, and it barely did anything, due to the fact he had an infinity stone inside him, he tried to send more red energy at Loki, but he easily dodged it, but then nearly got struck by a bolt of lightning, distracting Loki and Malekith charged at Loki, tackling him with his shoulder; the sword slipped from Loki's hand as he groaned in pain, and the two of them fell to the ground. Loki landed hard on the ground and Malekith slammed down on top of him, knocking the breath from Loki's lungs. Malekith rolled off of Loki and stood while Loki lay there stunned for a moment, staring at the sky; the rain and hail had stopped, and there was no longer any thunder or lightning. Loki was a little worried about Thor and wondered why he had not yet resurfaced.
Meanwhile, Malekith found Loki's sword lying on the ground; he picked it up and came towards Loki with it raised in the air; the blade pointed down at Loki's chest and then drove it towards him. Loki teleported away, and Malekith drove the sword into the ground instead, then abandoned it and turned to look for where Loki had gone. Malekith spotted him behind him, and when he charged at him and grabbed his neck, Loki disappeared in a shimmer of green magic, then reappeared at Malekith's back and drove his dagger into him; Malekith spun around, but Loki was already gone again. Reappearing on Makeith's left side, sticking a dagger through it, Loki disappeared again before Malekith could react. Loki only surfaced at his right side, sticking a dagger in it before disappearing again. When Loki reappeared in front of Malekith, he was ready, and before Loki could stab him again, Malekith held out his hand, and red energy shot towards him; Loki dodged out of the way, then rolled towards Malekith where he stuck one dagger into his leg, and raised to aim the other at his neck, Malekith grabbed Loki's wrist, preventing it, then drew back his fist and punched Loki in the chest, sending him flying back.
Loki landed down on the ground hard, with pain shooting through his chest, but he ignored it and immediately got to his feet. As Malekith headed towards him, he thrust out his hand, hitting him with a powerful blast of magic. Malekith stumbled back. Then Loki teleported to where he was and knocked his legs out from under him. A dagger appeared in Loki's hand, and he dropped down to send it through Malekith's skull, but the dark elf drew back his fist, and punched Loki, his first glowing red as it connected with Loki's chin; the dagger fell from his hand, and Loki's head flew back. Malekith jumped up, grabbed Loki by the neck, and snarled into his face.
"You will pay for your interference." Malekith warned then released Loki and held out both hands; red energy came from them, hitting Loki in the chest and sending him flying back. He landed four feet away and rolled a few times before coming to a stop on his back, and just laid there and groaned as pain shot through his whole body. There was a roar of thunder in the descent, and a flash of lightning went across the sky.
Malekith pulled the two daggers out of his sides and looked one last time toward Loki, who was barely stirring; deciding he was no longer a threat, he turned away and held out his hands. Regulus jumped up, and ran forward with his wand drawn, throwing hexes, jinxes, and curses at Malekith, which only caused him to pause, turn to Regulus, and throw a ball of red anger at him, which struck the chest-plate Regulus was wearing, and sent him flying back, where he slammed on the ground next to Harry, who still laid there unconscious.
Loki finally made it to his feet and ran to Regulus and Harry; he checked on Harry to make sure he was okay, then turned to Regulus and started checking him over, ignoring the fact Loki himself was in an enormous amount of pain, his back chest, and head hurting the worse.
"I'm fine," Regulus mumbled as Loki helped him sit up; he was rubbing his chest with a painful look. "You need to stop him."
"Stay here; you do not move no matter what," Loki said; he stood up and headed towards Malekith; while daggers appeared in his hands, he started tossing them at Malekith; one dagger after another would appear in Loki's hands and he'd toss them at Malekith, who turned towards Loki, the red glow around him brighten. As Malekith walked towards Loki, who teleported closer to Malekith, they started fighting one another. Loki got Malekith's arm with a dagger, but then Malekith grabbed Loki by the throat, and his feet lifted off the ground as they started rising into the air. Loki gripped Malekith's arm while he gasped for air.
"Your continuous interruptions end now," Malekith said, gripping Loki's neck harder; he was about to teleport out of Malekith's hold, but then, with a loud rumble of thunder, a bolt of lightning struck Malekith, he let go of Loki, as he was knocked away, then Thor appeared, wrapping an arm around Loki's waist, and holding to his little bother tightly, he carried him to the ground, and sat Loki on his feet.
"Where the hell have you been?" Loki demanded, rubbing his neck, which was starting to bruise.
"Jotunheim," Thor said; that answer was so surprising. Loki stared at Thor with his mouth slightly open.
"I beg your pardon?" Loki demanded.
Thor opened his mouth to explain when a blast of red energy passed him and struck Loki in the chest, knocking him back ten feet; where he landed on his back on the street so hard it cracked the concrete around him, and Loki just laid there, his body in even more pain, flashes of being tossed around by the Hulk went through his mind, Loki didn't know which hurt more. With a growl of anger, Thor threw Mjolnir at Malekith, who had just landed on the ground behind him, then took off running to Loki.
"Brother!" Thor cried as Loki started to stir.
"I'm fine, idiot," Loki said as Thor kneeled beside him. Loki sat up and winched at the pain in his back and chest, but he waved Thor's offered hand away, and stood without help, and turned towards Malekith, who was heading their way, now holding Loki's sword. Thor held out his hand, and Mjolnir flew right to it, gripping the handle; you could feel the anger rolling off him. Loki had never seen Thor so mad; it was unnerving.
The storm clouds above them turned pitch black, and combined with how dark it already was, the street lights were now as useless as a tiny nightlight; there was a roar of thunder so loud it shook the ground, and rain poured down hard, and Loki could feel the electricity in the air, as lightning flashed across the sky, he glanced at Harry and Regulus. He was relieved to see Regulus cast a shield charm around them. Loki turned back to Malekith to see he had paused in his journey to them, watching Thor while the Aether's energy still glowed around him. Thor and the dark elf stared each other down, then Thor pointed Mjolnir at him.
"I have had enough of you," Thor told him; Malekith just laughed, and Thor narrowed his eyes and raised Mjolnir in the air, then brought it down and slammed the ground, causing a mini earthquake, or perhaps that was just the ground shattering thunder that erupted. People screamed as the sky opened, and golfball-sized hail rained down; Loki covered his head. Thor's eyes glowed with electricity.
"Thor," Loki said; he thought maybe Thor was going a little overboard; there were people still standing around, the dumbarses as Sirius would call them wasn't even trying to get to safety, but when Thor looked at him, with his glowing eyes, and lighting all around him, Loki decided to keep his mouth shut.
"Get ready, brother," Thor told him, then turned back to Malekith and shouted. "No one hurts my family!"
Loki could feel the hairs on his arms stand on ends while Thor thrust Mjolnir in the air again; there was more ground-shaking thunder. Loki jumped away from Thor as lightning of all different colors struck the ground around him. Loki realized Thor was calling for lighting from all nine realms, not just Midgard. Thor then pointed Mjolnir at Malekith. The lighting blots went through the Aether energy and stuck Malekith, and he dropped Loki's sword as he started to shake. Thor then pulled Mjolnir back.
"Loki…now!"
Deciding to copy Regulus somewhat, Loki shifted into his Jotunn form, thrust out his hands, and froze Malekith in place; then a dagger appeared in Loki's hand, and he tossed it at Malekith; it struck him right in the heart, and he shattered like glass, icy pieces going everywhere. Everything stopped at once; the storm quit, the clouds faded away, and the sun appeared in the sky again, bringing daylight upon them, while the Aether floated above what was left of the King of Svartalfheim.
Loki made the container Frigga gave him appear in his hand and then teleported over to the Aether, where he lured it into the container, slammed the lid down, locked it, and then it disappeared in a simmer of green; Loki then headed over to to Harry, as he did so, Loki held out his hand, and his sword flew into it, that too disappeared in a shimmer of green. Once Loki stood by Harry, he collapsed onto the ground beside him. Loki was so exhausted that he felt like he had just fought in a hundred battles while his entire body was in pain. But still, he reached out his hand and pushed Harry's hair out of his face; he frowned as he noticed he now had a red tint to it. Harry stirred and opened his eyes; Loki was relieved to see green eyes staring at him.
"Mum?" Harry asked, squinting his eyes,
"Yes, it is me, sweetheart," Loki said, feeling Harry's forehead. "Its all over now, Malekith is dead, and the Aether is safely hidden." Loki helped Harry sit up. "Do you think you can stand? We need to get back to Asgard."
"Yeah," Harry answered, and Loki stood and helped Harry to his feet; the poor kid looked as if he hadn't slept in a week. Harry noticed Regulus holding his chest and gave him a concerned look.
"I'm fine, kid." Regulus said, "Just sore." Harry looked around, confused, then turned back to Loki, who winched, knowing what Harry would ask before he did.
"Where's dad?" Loki laid his hands on Harry's shoulders.
"Do not panic, but your father was injured during the battle on Asgard," Loki explained, "Malekith stabbed him with a poisoned knife, but do not worry, Eir and the other healers were looking for a cure before we left."
"Is he going to live?" Harry asked. Loki opened his mouth to say, of course, but then closed it; no matter how much he lied to himself about how badly Sirius was injured, he couldn't lie to Harry, but Loki didn't have to say anything; Harry understood his hesitation, and nodded, as he blinked back tears, and Loki pulled Harry into a hug.
"I swear to you, Harry, I'll do all I can to ensure he does," Loki promised.
"Brother." Thor interrupted, walking up to them.
"Thor, do you not see Harry is upset," Loki demanded. Thor laid a hand on Harry's back, offering him comfort.
"Do you not want to know why I was on Jotunhem?" Thor asked. Loki shook his head.
"I do not care why you were getting cozy with the Frost Giants while I was tossed around like a rag doll," Loki said. Harry pulled out of his hold and wiped his eyes.
"I was not getting cozy with the Frost Giants." Thor said, "I temporarily got stuck on Jotunheim and while there I had a long conversation with Helbindi after he ordered the other Frost Giants to stop attacking me."
"Who the hell is Helbindi?" Loki demanded, putting his arm around Harry's shoulder.
"Laufey's successor, his second son," Thor explained. "He is nothing like his father; he seems like a good man; he wants to make peace between our realms."
"Oh," Loki said, "Look, Thor, I do not want to talk about this; I just want to get back to Asgard," He reached out and grabbed Regulus' arm and was about to teleport away.
"Brother, Helbindi wishes for you to visit him," Thor said. Loki let go of Regulus' arm and gave Thor a look like he was crazy.
"What a marvelous idea, Thor." Loki said, "I'll leave Harry with you, then hop over to Jotunheim and get myself killed. You do remember what I did, brother?"
"I do not mean at this moment," Thor said. "Helblindi-"
"Thor, mate," Regulus said, "Now, isn't the time to talk about this? We want to go check on my brother."
"You are right; Loki and I will talk later," Thor said. He reached out and took hold of Regulus's arm.
"No, we will not; the subject is closed," Loki said. Thor frowned at Loki briefly, then looked up to the sky and called out.
"Heimdall!"
AN: I've also thought of the Infinity Stones as somewhat sentient so I figured it could do something like controlling Harry, it wasn't Mind Control, more like it was possessioning, Harry. And in the movie the Aether energy blasted out at anyone it felt was a threat, so I thought it would make sense for Harry or Malekith to be able to use that energy to blast people away.
I don't know how true it is, but I heard the original script for Thor; The Dark Word had Thor calling lighting from each realm to beat Malekith but changed it to give Jane, Darcy and Selvig bigger rules in helping Thor, but true or not, its always sounded cool to me, so, I added Thor doing it in my story.
