Getting involved with him should have been the last thing she should have ever done in her life because now she was too deep in and didn't see a way out. She just had to go and fall in love with the one man on earth she had no business in pursuing. She swears she has good judgment. She always considered herself as one of the few people around who actually had their head on their shoulders and especially in their line of business, that was rare.
Heiress and daughter to one of the richest men in Fiore who also happened to be the senator did wonders for her and as grateful she is for being born into a privileged wealthy life, it also had its downs. A lot of it, actually.
Especially an overprotective, conservative, ruthless man who happened to be her one and only father.
Maybe that's what brought her on the devil's doorstep in the first place.
"Nnngh.. aahh! Wait!"
Her body felt as if it was set on fire, skin starting to break out in a thin layer of sweat. Her chest heaved with her pants and her eyes fluttered, fingernails digging into strong broad shoulders. Even through her squirming, he continued with his task, palming at her breasts as he nipped down her throat. Her body quivered as she felt his teeth scrape and nip and suck at her skin, soft moans and gasps spilling past swollen lips as he knead her chest.
"Natsu!"
"I love hearing you scream my name," he swirled his tongue around swollen perky nipples, onyx eyes pinning her to her spot. "But I know you can be louder than that."
Natsu Dragneel. Son of a mafia don and one devious sexy motherfucker.
She knew she should have never fallen into the hands of this man but boy was he persistent. She didn't usually associate herself with such people considering they both came from two different worlds but Natsu was quick to show her they really weren't too far apart.
He was devilishly handsome with a lethal grin that could have women of all ages dropping to their knees. He was a literal beast in the body of a human man and to think about what he has done in his short twenty years of life makes her shiver. All she knew was that the mafia was an absolute no and nobody in their right mind would ever willingly join the mafia but here she goes and practically joins the mafia.
She knew what these men were capable of. While they both came from families who did business, her side wasn't really into dirtying their hands up like his did.
"Is that why you're so muscular? Your arms are gigantic." She blurted out at night when they were caught up in the same party, both forced to come for appearance at their families request. "So you could just strangle someone if needed?"
She knew she shouldn't have been so bold to ask the son of a mafia don if he worked out so he could kill people but she may have had a little too much to drink and didn't really think to wonder what her words could do to her.
But to her surprise, he bursted into laughter and she found herself pretty intrigued.
"Not at all, baby girl, I keep my arms this big because you deserve only the biggest and best necklaces."
It took her a minute to think about it and she stared at him until he smirked and reached over to demonstrate what he meant, making her eyes widen and jaw fly open.
That was only the second time she's ever met him and she decided that night that they would never speak again because she didn't know why her heart was pounding so hard in her chest nor what this warm tingling came from between her legs.
The world would erupt into flames if the daughter of Jude Heartfillia was caught canoodling with the son of a mafia don. She could also potentially die but for some weird reason, she thought she would be more intimidated by a member of the mafia but Natsu had a very welcoming, warm feeling to him. She couldn't ever picture such a cinnamon roll of a man to be so aggressive. He was all smiles and flirting shamelessly with her and there was never once a time she feared for her safety.
A hopeless romantic like herself hated herself for creating such a fantasy in her creative mind.
She especially hated the vivid dreams of him as they would always end up naked but always ending before anything juicy could happen. Not like she would know considering she was still a virgin but she really wasn't someone who was ever into that. She was a shy, conservative girl growing up and while her body did mature and boys were asking her out to dates, she never did anything with them. The farthest she's ever gone was a small peck to the lips but she's never really kissed someone like they did in those romantic films.
But she didn't want to think of Natsu as someone she could possibly have something with because he was a dangerous man and he was also somewhat of a player.
The Dragneel empire weren't really discrete with themselves in the public eye especially since nobody could really prove they were the mafia but everyone knows it. They got as much attention as her family did when it came to the public's judgement but they never rarely crossed paths till recently. Maybe it was the fact that her father was expanding business or they were looking for something but she didn't really care to stick her nose into it.
All she knew was that Natsu was known for being a trust fund baby who partied hard and fucked harder. She's seen all the tabloids and knew that his family also owned many, many clubs so he was there the majority of the time, partying it up and doing god knows what.
"What are you doing here?"
"I'm where you are, Luce. You can't ever escape me."
His grin was breathtaking and she wished he wasn't so close to her because his spicy woody scent instantly made her stomach churn and knees grow wobbly. He was dressed so deliciously with his red button down popped open at the collar to show off his tan, muscular chest and collarbones to the way his sleeves were pushed up to his elbows.
Coming to a nightclub was a new thing for her but her friend Levy was having such a bad week she had to come support her. She needed a girls night anyways but what were the chances that this club ends up being one of the Dragneel's and Natsu was also here?
She licked her lips to wet them as his dark eyes bore into hers, lips parting to try to speak but nothing coming out.
"You are absolutely stunning. Did you wear this for me?" His thumb came up to her bottom lip, dragging it across it slowly. Her eyes fluttered and she knew her face was beet red but she couldn't tear her eyes away from this gorgeous man. "How'd you know red was my favorite color?"
She tried her best to avoid him that night. She knew it was bad news written all over it because she had talked to herself about this many, many times and her dreams were just her subconscious trying to make her crazy. She was just another notch on his belt and she was not going to succumb to some rich party slut, she was still looking for her Prince Charming to come sweep her off her feet.
She knew he was out there somewhere and getting involved with someone like Natsu was asking for trouble.
Even all her other friends agreed he was bad news as they could see how persistent Natsu had been. But even with their statements, it was easy to see the facade of it all when the said devil came over to their table to introduce himself. It also helped since he brought shots to their table and Cana can't help herself when she's around alcohol.
He played the role of sweet charming man so easily and it obviously even got her friends charmed as they leaned in and listened to him talk. It only had Lucy squirming in her seat the entire time, sweating as she wondered how he could act so sweetly when he was just whispering in her ear how he wanted to know how she tasted. How loud she could scream and how deep he'd like to bury himself inside of her.
The way he was talking showed how unsophisticated he truly was compared to them but it didn't seem to bother anyone as he cursed and laughed, making himself too comfortable forcing her to leave instead.
"And where are you going?"
"Natsu!" She gasped, whirling around as she was caught venturing down the hall towards the stairs. "You scared me!"
"I asked you a question." He was towering over her in the dimly lit hallway. Having to be on the VIP top floor, Lucy's eyes darted around to see if anyone was watching.
"I—I'm getting some air," she swallowed thickly, shyly looking back up at him. "Why are you following me?"
"I told you earlier, baby girl, I am where you are."
She wondered if she'd ever seen Natsu before all of this mess because now wherever she was, he was, too. And she didn't know if it was coincidence or if he actually was around this much and she didn't realize it. She never really had to pay attention to her surroundings so much considering she had bodyguards with her most of the time. Even at her own house she had security as well as her own driver on call.
"You don't come here! I've never seen you here before. You're following me!"
"You don't own this coffee shop, baby," he scoffed at her, amusement twinkling in his eyes as the heiress hissed at him. "I actually do come here but not often. Their cinnamon latte here is the best."
She didn't know what it was about this man but seeing him in broad daylight made her mouth salivate. Natsu during the night was one thing but seeing him in just casual clothes and out in the open like the rest of society made her really see him as more. He was just in some slacks with a t-shirt on and his signature scarf but he was more… human.
She desperately pleaded with the stars to not allow her to fall for such a man. She didn't want to be attached to someone like him but her heart would not listen to anything she would say. She whined, cried, and begged for something to tell her that this wasn't it. That this was a big mistake and she shouldn't be entertaining Natsu as much as he was entertaining her. He would hurt her and she would be left heartbroken over a man who didn't care as much as she did.
"Why are you so obsessed with me?" One particular night she was fed up with him tailing her. She huffed and crossed her arms across her chest, scowling at the handsome man who smiled down at her before he was reaching for her. She winced slightly at the feel of his warm fingers caressing the side of her face, the heavy blush rushing down her chest to the tips of her ears.
"I think you are the most beautiful woman in the world." He confessed, forcing her heart to stop and leap out of her throat. "And I will worship the ground you walk on if you'd let me."
She didn't know why she cried when she heard that but she sobbed like a baby. And she hated that she was ruining her makeup because she spent a long time getting ready and they happened to be at another party with too many people.
He always found her like this. In a crowded room full of stuffy conversations and fake smiles. High society was something she loathed and having to deal with these occasions most of her life had really drained the life from her.
Till she met Natsu and he would keep things interesting enough for her.
She didn't know how he did it but he always found her and he would smirk making her heart skip a beat before coming over to blanket her in waves of warmth.
"There you are my little wallflower."
"I was wondering how long it would be before you were right by my side."
"Nothing would ever keep me away from you, Lucy."
She did have to admit, he was very good for her ego. She wouldn't consider herself as someone who thought very highly of themselves but she knew her worth. Natsu just made it a constant reminder how beautiful she truly was.
She didn't remember the last time she blushed so much around a guy but Natsu was surprising her in many ways and at the same time teaching her new things about herself she didn't even know about.
"Oh.. you feel so good, Luce," he rasped out while her entire body trembled. "You are so amazing."
This may have been the most scandalous thing she had ever done in her perfect prim life and knowing she had done this made it even worse. She didn't know why or how it even really happened and she was way too nervous to remember properly but boy was she missing out on so much.
She has read many novels and while she could imagine what was going on, she's never experienced it so she couldn't know what it truly meant. Natsu was born from romance novels and she swore all these authors were writing about this one man because he brought her to heaven many times that night before throwing her down in hell with him.
"Oh, Natsu! Yes!" Her back arched and she felt him dig his fingers into her hips as he continued to bounce off her ass. "Please, please, please!"
"You are such a good girl," he growled into her ear, pushing her further down onto the mattress while he thrusted into her. "Scream for me, baby, I want to hear you scream.".
They didn't go out much. When they did it was always somewhere far and somewhere safe so they wouldn't ever be caught. Natsu knew how much it meant to her to keep whatever was going on a secret and he respected her decision but he didn't keep his obvious feelings and attraction for her a secret.
Sometimes Lucy wonders to herself when this would ever stop and if she should be the first to end it so she didn't have to go through a heartbreak. But coming to a realization that even if she were to end it with him before he had a chance to hurt her, she'd still be hurt in the process.
So she tried her best not to think so negatively as Natsu spoiled her rotten and showed her to a new world of romance and intimacy.
The best times were when they were just alone at his place, snuggled up on his bed or couch, and speaking fondly about their experiences. Getting to know Natsu was one of the best decisions she had ever made because he truly surprised her with how down to earth and beautiful his soul was. It made her want to be the one to protect him at times because he was precious and she couldn't ever think anyone would want to hurt such a cinnamon roll.
"Oh my god, you're bleeding!" She nearly shouted, a gasp ripping out of her lips as she stared in horror.
"This? It's nothin'," he chuckled half-heartedly before wincing from the pain and she was dragging him inside his own apartment. "Did I keep you waiting long, baby? I'm sorry I wasn't here earlier."
"Are you serious? You're really apologizing right now? You're beaten bloody! What happened?"
"Don't worry so much about that," he said softly, eyes growing warm as he reached out to cup her cheek. "Just know that I'm okay… okay?"
She knew Natsu's line of work was a lot more physical and dangerous than anything she does. She also knew that there would be times he would have to get his hands dirty but she never expected to see him so beat up and bloody. It ruined her to think someone was beating down on the man she loves like this. It also made her realize that she won't be able to ever have a happy, easy perfect happily ever after.
Imagining a perfect happy life with Natsu seemed laughable. She knew what kind of chaos would erupt if anyone found out that Lucy Heartfillia was seeing Natsu Dragneel. It would be a shitshow and not only would her father be extremely angry, he may even lock her away forever. Of course if any father found out their daughter was sneaking around with a member from the mafia they would lose their marbles.
She thought she lost her own goddamn marbles when she realized how much she liked Natsu. This really wasn't something she thought she had in her cards.
And she's not saying they couldn't live happily. Only if nobody knew he was with her.
Lucy still continued to plead with the stars to keep her happy and not have to experience heartbreak. She just stopped asking them to take away her feelings for him because she was locked in.
"Please," her voice was nothing but a whisper but he heard her. "Please, don't break my heart." She said to him, fingers tracing random shapes on his bare chest while she laid on top of him. "That's all I ask of you."
He grabbed her hand that was tickling his skin and forced her to look at him, tipping her chin up with his fingers. His eyes were soft but fierce, her hand being pulled in for his lips to press against her knuckles.
"I love you, Luce."
Please, please, please don't prove me right.
"I love you… Natsu."
