A 16-year-old slowly opened his eyes as he realized he was lying down. The sound of sword clashes was heard from a distance. The student sat up and found himself in a quarry of some kind. He managed to find the source of the sound of the fighting below the cliff. The high school student approached the edge of the cliff and looked down.

Below the student was a one-sided fight where a lone warrior in pink, or was it magenta, colored armor made a final stand against a group of trident-wielding soldiers. The mask had green visor eyes and a barcode-patterned face. His chest had a black X wrapped around it with a white outline to highlight it. The center of the body was black while the inner plates of the limbs were white.. He wielded a sword with a book-shaped guard. Even though the student had never met him, he knew his name: Decade.

Despite being outnumbered, Decade held his ground against the overwhelming. He fights defensively, blocking each attack and striking whenever he sees an opportunity. His sword clashed against the trident of one of the soldiers before being pushed away with a kick. Decade swiftly turned around and struck at an incoming attack from another soldier. Now open, Decade stabbed the soldier through the chest, sparks flying from the stab wounds

Decade pulled out his sword and allowed the body to fall back. He looks around to see that five soldiers are left standing. He pulls out a card and inserts it into his belt buckle.

[AttackRide: Slash]

The blade of Decade's sword shined a magenta light. The five soldiers charged at him from different directions. Decade stood still for a moment and waited for the soldiers to get close. When they did, he swiftly sliced through them like butter. Decade even sliced through the trident of one of the soldiers before bisecting him, which revealed their interior mechanical components. Their bodies spark with electricity as they all fall one by one.

After the last of his enemies were eliminated, Decade ran his hand across the blade of his sword. He transformed the sword back into its booklet form before attaching it to his belt. A transparent, distorted wall appeared in front of Decade. Before he walked through it, he looked over his shoulders and shifted his head upwards. He took a good look at the boy that witnessed the entire fight.

"So, you're the one inheriting my power?" Decade said. He turned around and walked into the portal. "Good luck, kid.

The teenage boy woke up suddenly, sitting straight up from his desk. He looked around to see that his class was focused on the teacher. He looked forward to see that his teacher had his attention on the board. The teenager sighed quietly out of relief. However, the teacher glanced over his shoulder.

"Good to see that you're awake, Kimura-kun," the teacher said before turning around all the way. "Just because it's the last day of school before break, doesn't excuse your laziness."

The teacher proceeded to continue on with the lecture as Kazuhiro Kimura silently looked down and sank into his seat. As his body lowered, he felt something materializing in his hand. Kazuhiro sits up and looks down at his hand to see a card, similar to the one used by Decade. It has his face and the title of Masked Rider before his name. Kazuhiro then looked at his desk, which had a notebook with the symbol of Decade written on it.

Kazuhiro walked down the sidewalk with two of his friends, Kaneko and Tetsuya. His mind was still on the card that materialized in his hand. He knew that he was awake when it happened so it was real.

Kaneko yawned as he stretched his arms out. He said, "It was so hard to stay awake when vacation was right around the corner.

"At least you stayed awake unlike some here Tetsuya smirked.

"Very funny," Kazuhiro sarcastically commented.

"Do you guys have an idea of what the first thing we should do with this freedom?" Tetsuya asked.

"I say let's hit up the arcade. I heard they updated a few rhythm cabinets and I want to get my name up there on the scoreboard," Kaneko said.

"I wish I could join you but my parents are making me take cram school so I have to go home and get ready," Kazuhiro said.

"What the? Cram school in the summer?!" Tetsuya exclaimed.

"Yeah, they want me to be prepared for my high school entrance exams because they weren't happy with my recent exam scores."

"But you passed!"

"Yeah, unfortunately having an older brother means that he sets the standards for my parents on what to expect when it comes to success at school. They expect me to be exactly like my brother but better."

"That's insane," Kaneko commented.

"It's not that bad, I still have the majority of the day to myself."

"Then let's meet up tomorrow," Tetsuya suggested. Kazuhiro nodded with a small smile on his face.

Kazuhiro stood on the train while on his way to cram school. The train was packed with most of them being office workers returning from work. Most of the seats were taken and that left Kazuhiro leaning against the rail. A loud bang and a bright light came from one side of the train. Kazuhiro and the other passengers turned to see an explosion going off in the distance. Two more explosions happened which caused the passengers to panic.

"What the hell is going on?" Kazuhiro muttered as everyone began to shout and scream around him.

The train arrived at the now-empty station. Once the doors opened, everyone began to pour out of the train. Kazuhiro was one of the last people out of the train. As he stepped out, the card appeared again once in his hand. Kazuhiro looked at the card once again. This confirms what happened during class was real, and if it was then what does that say for the dream?

Kazuhiro reached the exit of the train station. Another explosion occurred down the block. He looked down the road and saw a few soldiers with a robotic appearance. They had a black body glove with gray plates across their arms and chest. The plates were attached to grey staps. These soldiers began firing at the fleeing civilians. Kazuhiro turned around and began running away from the disaster. He turned at an alley to avoid being caught in the line of fire.

The card was still in Kazuhiro's hand. As Kazuhiro inspected the card again, a belt materialized around his waist. It was similar to the one worn by Decade. It was a magenta buckle with a card slot and a small window. Surrounding that window were various symbols. Kazuhiro heard the sound of footsteps and turned to see a few soldiers approaching him, armed with knives. He bolted out of the alley as the soldiers pursued him.

The teenager ran out of the alley and across the street. Kazuhiro looked over his shoulder to see that the soldiers were still pursuing him. As he ran into an open plaza, two blade-shaped projectiles flew in front of Kazuhiro and knocked him down. As got up, he saw a few of these soldiers approaching him. They escorted one with green armor and a mantis-shaped head.

"Target identified. This human is the inheritor of Decade's power," the mantis-shaped soldier spoke.

"Inheritor?"Kazuhiro muttered. There are too many questions to be asked right now. It was a risk but Kazuhiro thought it might be worth asking the attackers who Decade is. Maybe it can help clear up what those dreams meant. He stood up, wincing from the pain. He asked, "Who's Decade?

"The Destroyer of Worlds. The one who has the power to restore us to our former glory," the mantis-shaped soldier explained. "Other heroes like Decade have destroyed us in the past. Even though we found our way back, our full strength isn't restored. They told us that his powers are the key to all of this."

"I can't let any of them have this power if it's just going to make them stronger. It's not going to make the world a better place," Kazuhiro thought. Two thoughts ran across Kazuhiro's mind: if he inherited the powers of Decade then why did it choose him and what happened to the original? "It's not like any of that matters. I need to prevent them from taking this power. There's only one thing I can do; it's to use this power!"

Kazuhiro raised his arm and inserted the Decade Rider Card into the slot.

[Kamen Ride]

"Stop him!" the mantis-headed soldier shouted. His followers quickly charged at him.

"Transform!" Kazuhiro shouted as he pushed the buckle together, which initiated the transformation.

[Decade]

Twenty-one grey after-images of Decade circle around Kazuhiro, each one carrying a unique symbol. The soldier charging at him stopped and stepped back. The Decade after-images merged onto Kazuhiro and formed a gray version of Decade's armor. Barcodes flew into his face, giving the armor the magenta color.

Kazuhiro, now Kamen Rider Decade, looked at his new appearance. A surge of power was felt throughout his body, signified by the glowing of his green eyes. He looked around to see that the HUD of the helmet identified the soldiers as the Trilobite Magia and their leader as the Berotha Magia.

The Magia didn't waste another second and charged at Decade. He swiftly turned to punch a Magia soldier before turning his body to kick another incoming soldier. Another Magia tried to stab him but Decade grabbed his arm and redirected his momentum to stab another soldier in the chest. He then knocked out the soldier with a jab in the face.

Two more Magia charged towards him from one direction. They swung their knives at him but he dodged their initial attack before blocking their attacks with his armored wrists. With a brief moment of an opening, Decade pushed a Magia with a kick. He then switched feet and kicked the other Magia down.

Decade didn't have a moment to breathe as the Berotha Magia came in swinging. He dodged the initial attacks from the Berotha Magia but was caught off guard when he charged his attack and unleashed his blade-like projectiles. Decade was caught in the wide attack. He flew back and landed on his side.

"I could use a weapon," Decade thought. Three afterimages of a sword merged into his hand and formed the sword.

The Kamen Rider wasn't given much time to inspect the weapon as he was immediately attacked. Decade blocked the Magia's attack. Once he spotted an opening he slashed through his chest downwards before swinging his blade horizontally. The Berotha Magia staggered back from the attack.

Three after-images of a card merged onto Decade's hand and materialized. This card was labeled as an AttackRide card and was called Slash. It had a portrait of Decade making a circular motion with his sword. Knowing what this card did, Decade immediately inserted it into the Driver.

[AttackRide: Slash]

The blade of Decade's sword glowed and he charged towards the Berotha Magia. His sword left behind a trail of after-images as he swung it. After three consecutive swings, Decade gripped the sword for one final attack and swung his sword from the side. The power of that final attack blew up the Magia into bits.

Decade looked around to see if any more attackers were left. Once the area was cleared, the Kamen Rider sighed. A lot is going on in his mind about what's going on. More questions just keep popping up in his. Mainly how was he able to accomplish what he did without any combat experience prior. To Decade, it felt like some force was influencing him on how to fight, guiding him through this dangerous situation.

Decade wandered through the streets of the ruined city. He came across a burning building. The Kamen Rider stood still and observed the ongoing fire. The confusing nature of what's going on frustrates him. The only thing he's sure of is that he's the only one capable of stopping this. If he has the power of someone with the moniker of "Destroyer of Worlds" then it must have carried immense strength.

"So, this is the world that Decade has been hiding in," a voice spoke. Decade turned around to see more Magia soldiers however they were led by one of the soldiers from his dream. Although he does know that he is called a Kasshine thanks to the HUD's information.

"Sorry to disappoint you, but I'm not the original," Decade said.

"Well, it's more fortunate for us then. A less experienced Decade means a quicker victory for us," the Kasshine said.

"Who is this "us" anyways? Who are you people supposed to be?" Decade asked.

"We're loyal soldiers of Hundred, a legion that conquered thousands of worlds. We seek your power to harness its destructive capabilities."

"I thought you wanted to restore the powers of your soldiers unless it's some trick to have them join you," Decade said.

"Those are both of our objectives. You see, Decade's power isn't the only one you inherited. The power of the other Kamen Riders he encountered lay dormant in you," the Kasshin said. "It's those powers that will restore everyone's powers to their fullest. With Decade's raw, destructive power along with our forces at our full strength, we will be unopposed."

Decade looked around and noticed that more special variants of the Magia arrived. One was a white squid-based one called Neohi Magia. Another was a flying bat called the Onchyo Magia. The third one is an armored, rocket launcher-wielding panda called the Scouting Panda Sold.

"There's nowhere to run Decade. It's the end of the line for you,"

"Dammit," Decade muttered. He thought, "If only an actual superhero could show up. I'm nowhere near capable of fighting all of them on my own."

Decade felt a distortion happening behind him. When he turned around, the same distorted wall from his dreams appeared. If he recalled correctly, it was a portal. To where he doesn't know.

"Stop him from escaping!" the Kasshine ordered.

Decade turned around to see Magia charging at him. The Scouting Panda fires a rocket at the Kamen Rider. Decade ducked under the rocket as it flew past him. He took this as a sign to immediately run into this portal.

There wasn't any tunnel when Decade went through the portal. It was almost as if he walked through the door. When he reached the other side, it was daytime however the city looked destroyed with piles of destroyed robot parts scattered through the street.

"Was it a time jump or something?" Decade muttered.

Decade wasn't given another moment to breathe as the Onchyo Magia flew out of the portal and grabbed onto Decade. He dropped his sword as the Magia shoved him into the large body of a destroyed robot. The Kamen Rider punched him off his body. The two other special Magia variants ran through the portal along with a small handful of the low-ranked ones. The portal then closed. Decade raised his fists-ready to fight. He doesn't know what's going on but all he knows is that these soldiers for Hundred need to be defeated.

Author's Corner

It took me eight years but I finally decided to make use of this account. I made this account when I was 14 and thought about writing some fanfics but that didn't happen. I just forgot lmao. Anyway, this is my first story so please leave any helpful, constructive criticisms!

I do want to talk about the story, mainly what to expect from this story. It is a crossover between Kamen Rider Decade and My Hero Academia. The main antagonist of the story is Hundred, first seen in Kamen Rider Gotchard. For those not caught up, they are a multi-world organization to conquer other worlds. Now where does this stand in parallel with the main Kamen Rider timeline? It happened after the Zi-O vs Decade special that ran alongside Kamen Rider Saber. The outcome of that special was that Tsukasa was killed.

I used that as a way to create a new Kamen Rider Decade. I wanted Decade to be somewhat of a foil to Izuku. Both of them inherit a power that is passed down from generations of heroes. The only difference is that Deku needs to learn how to control his powers while the power influences the actions of Decade. So I do want to try to write a dynamic between them. As for where this takes place in the timeline of MHA, well it takes place after the U.A. entrance exams.

On one final note, I want to write a good bulk of chapters and post them maybe twice a week. So while there might a good two to four months of nothing, there will be a couple of weeks where chapters will be posted regularly.

Anyway, see you in the next chapter! Which will be posted concurrently with the first three chapters.
