Chapter 15 Self Worth

The next day Wendy headed back to the Mystery Shack and told the others about her adventure last night and her battle with gnomes and how she had already recruited them to fight against Kulan. Mabel and Soos were excited about the news and said Wendy was capable of recruiting all of the magical creatures of Gravity Falls all by herself without any assistance. Dipper on the other hand was feeling a little helpless and inadequate about himself and his use to Wendy/Red Sonja.
Dipper decided to head outside and get some fresh air and get his thoughts together. He had to figure out a way to help Wendy in someway. Dipper walked through the woods unaware he was being watched from the trees above. He reached a clearing and was met by a trio of five inch tall women with fairy wings wearing green dresses.
"Who are you?" Asked Dipper.
"We are the fairy guardians of the forest and we sensed you are under great stress and need assistance." Said the first fairy.
"We have sensed a great darkness in the land." Said the second fairy.
"Allow use to bestow you with a item of power." Said the third fairy.
There was a flash of light as a brown loincloth with runes on it appeared floating before Dipper.
"Take this magical loincloth. It'll give you incredible powers." The first fairy.
"Um...ok. Thank you. Do you mind turning around and letting me change behind a bush?" Said Dipper.
The fairies did this and Dipper changed into the loincloth. He then stepped out from behind the bush feeling a little embarrassed by the loincloth.
"He looks very handsome." Said the second fairy.
"Our brave champion." Said the third fairy.
"Thanks. Hopefully this'll help out my friends." Said Dipper as he walked back to the Mystery Shack.
As soon as he was gone a evil grin appeared on the fairies' faces.
"That fool! The only power that loincloth has on it is a magical self destruct that will activate once you get to that wretched girl Red Sonja!" Said the first fairy.
"Killing two birds with one stone!" Said the second fairy.
"Master Kulan will be pleased." Said the third fairy.
Dipper reached the Mystery Shack and was greeted by Wendy, Mabel, and Soos.
"What are you wearing Dipper?" Asked Mabel
"It's a magic loincloth." Said Dipper.
"Awesome!" Said Soos.
"So what exactly does it do?" Asked Wendy.
"I tell you what it does. It explodes and kills you all!" Said the first fairy as she and her companions flew onto the scene.
Wendy, Soos, and Mabel looked at Dipper in terror expecting a explosion, but nothing happened. The fairies looked confused as Dipper had a big confident grin on his face.
"What gives?!" Yelled the second fairy.
"Unfortunately for you three I have experience with booby trapped clothes." Said Dipper before he had a flashback.
Two years ago.
Dipper had just gotten out of the shower and was in the process of putting his underwear on, when he felt a intense burning sensation in his groin area that made him scream in pain, before he quickly took off his underwear and ran back into the shower. Mabel then stepped out of a closet giggling and holding a bottle of hot sauce.
End of Flashback.
Present.
"Good times." Said Mabel.
"Wait a second you changed the runes on the loincloth!" Yelled the second fairy.
"I studied all kinds of ancient runes and knew how to change the ones on the loincloth." Said Dipper proudly.
"What did you change?" Asked the third fairy fearfully.
"The loincloth will now explode once I remove and throw it." Said Dipper as he began to remove the loincloth.
"Oh crude!" Yelled the first fairy.
Dipper ignored the fact he was naked from the waist down and threw the loincloth at the fairies. It exploded loudly in a fiery blast destroying the fairies and knocked Dipper onto his back. A random spark caught Dipper's shirt on fire making him scream and panic. Wendy quickly ran over to him and put out the fire by taking off her shirt and smothering it.
"Well...that worked. Though it was a bit embarrassing." Said Dipper.
"I thought it was awesome. You're pretty cool and resourceful." Said Wendy with a smile.
"Thanks." Said Dipper.
"Now let's get you some pants." Said Wendy.
They all headed back into the Mystery Shack to get Dipper some pants and to rest.
