Chapter 20 Undersea Decision

Wendy, Dipper, Mabel, Soos, Stan, and Ford swam through the water in their new forms taking in all the beautiful undersea sights. Eventually they saw a large castle-like structure in the distance that must be the home and kingdom of the Merpeople. As they got closer to the kingdom a couple dozen merman and mermaid wearing armor and armed with spears, tridents, swords, and harpoons sprung up and surrounded the group.
"Holt! State your names and business!" Ordered one merman.
"I am Red Sonja and these are my companions Dipper, Mabel, Ford, Stan, and Soos. We have come to speak to your rulers and ask for their help to deal with a great threat on the surface." Said Wendy.
"I don't know you or some of your companions, but we have heard of the ones called Mabel and Dipper. They saved Prince Mermando's life and returned him to the sea, so we owe a debt to them." Said the merman.
"Yep that was us. We saved the prince!" Said Mabel cheerfully.
"For that service you are allowed into our kingdom. We will escort you to the rulers." Said the merman.
The group was lead into the kingdom were they saw more Merpeople and other sea creatures swimming about. They were then lead to the palace and into a large decorative throne room with four thrones. Two of the thrones were occupied by a older merman and mermaid, who must be Mermando's parents and the other was occupied by Mermando and a manatee who must be the Queen of the Manatees or Queen Manatee for short. Mermando looked the same except for a gold crown with a red she'll on the front of it. The Queen of the Manatees was a manatee wearing a pink dress with white buttons and white frills on the sleeves and collar. She also wore a large red and gold crown with spotted fur trim at the bottom, green jewels above it and a purple diamond on top
Mermando saw Mabel and smiled and waved at her getting a smile from Mabel and a side glare from Queen Manatee. Mermando's father then spoke.
"I am King Merocean and this is my wife Mersea. What brings you strangers to our kingdom?"
"Your highness, I am Red Sonja and we have come to ask you for your aid in dealing with a great threat on the surface. A powerful evil wizard wishes to conquer the world and all of it's inhabitants. I am currently gathering a army to storm his kingdom and put a stop to it and we need all the help we can get." Said Wendy.
"We have heard that there are two in your group who have saved our son about a year ago. May they please step forward." Said Mersea.
"That would be us." Said Dipper as he and Mabel swam forward.
"You have our thanks and gratitude. Tell me is the threat, your friend speaks of real?" Said Mersea.
"It is." Said Dipper.
"We've been dealing with trolls and other evil creatures for days." Said Mabel.
"I see. I believe you. I think we should aid these people with their quest." Said Mersea.
"I object!" Said Queen Manatee.
"Why is that?" Asked Merocean.
"Because this sounds more like a surface world problem then a sea problem. We would be risking our lives as well as our subjects in a battle that isn't ours. Let the humans and land dwellers deal with their problems and leave us out of it." Said Queen Manatee.
"Kulan Gath is a enemy to us all! Once he conquer the surface world, he'll come after you and your kingdom next. Please you have to help if we wish to put an end to this threat." Said Wendy.
"No. Your problem will deal with you first giving us enough time to fortify and prepare ourselves for the threat or we can reach a peaceful negotiation with this wizard of yours. We not get involved in your fight. The Manatees are against it and most of the sea will back us up. I suggest that the Merpeople do the same if they wish to maintain peace." Said Queen Manatee eyeing Mermando.
"But...honey." Said Mermando.
"Don't honey me! This is final!" Said Queen Manatee before she turned and swam off.
"We're...sorry, but it looks like our hands are tied." Said Mersea with a apologetic look.
"So much for that." Muttered Stan.
"No. We're not going to give up just yet. We have to convince Queen Manatee to reconsider." Said Wendy.
"Leave it to me and Mermando. We can change her mind." Said Mabel as Mermando swam off the throne to join the group.
"You're not just doing this to spend time with Mermando?" Asked Dipper eyeing his sister.
"Of...course not! I'm super focused and dedicated to solving this issue." Said Mabel before she and Mermando swam off.
"Sure you are. This is going to end in disaster." Mumbled Dipper as he and the other decided to go explore the city.
