Chapter 21 Deep Trouble

In Atlantis, Wendy, Dipper, Soos, Stan, and Ford were exploring the city. It was a interesting place, but Wendy sensed Dipper was troubled, most likely worried and concerned about his sister and the mission.
"Mabel will be fine, she's resourceful and good at befriending people and convincing them to help." Said Wendy.
"Yeah usually she is, but when there's a potential hot boy involved she tends to forget things and focuses on only herself and the boy she has a crush." Said Dipper looking a bit annoyed.
"You got a point, but surely Mabel has gotten over that issue and will focus on why we're here. Will give her an hour or so and then if she hasn't made any progress, will step in and take charge." Said Wendy.
"Good with me." Said Dipper a little bit relived.
The group continued on exploring.
Elsewhere Mabel was hanging with Mermando and the two were catching up as they headed towards the Queen Manatee's private tower. Mermando told Mabel, he was happy to see her and that he was unhappy with being married to Queen Manatee.
"The whole thing was an arranged marriage to prevent a war. I really didn't have much of a choice in it. It was either get married or have a huge war. Queen Manatee is ok, but she can be very stubborn or demanding. She's jailed tons of female sea creatures just for looking and smiling at me! It's outrageous!" Said Mermando.
"Sounds like a clingy spouse. I'm sure if we talk we can reason with her. Girl talk is my specialty. I might even be able to convince her to let you go free of the marriage." Said Mabel.
"Oh thank you Mabel! You are so kind!" Said Mermando.
Mabel blushed a little as they reached the tower. A couple of manatee guards eyed the duo for a few moments and then they let them through. Mermando and Mabel swam to the upper levels and found Queen Manatee sitting on a lounge eating seaweed.
"Oh it's you two." Said Queen Manatee with a glare.
"Hey Queen Manatee how's it going?" Said Mabel.
"I'm not going to take back my decision. The sea is not going to help the land, especially you and that's final." Said Queen Manatee.
"Why? What do you have against me?" Asked Mabel.
"I know who you are and the brief past you shared with my husband. I know he still has feelings for you. I've seen the way he looked at you!" Said Queen Manatee.
"Sweetie." Said Mermando trying to calm Queen Manatee down.
"Don't sweetie me! I know you truly don't love me!" Yelled Queen Manatee.
"Well I was forced to marry you or you would start a war. You didn't even give us a chance to go on dates and get to know each other first before going right on ahead with the marriage." Said Mermando looking a bit angry.
"I am one of the most beautiful and powerful creatures under the sea! Despite all of those things I had no suitors from any of the seas! Yes I had to resort to starting a war to finally get a husband, but it was worth it!" Said Queen Manatee.
"But that's not really love. You can't expect someone to truly love you back if you do that." Said Mabel.
"I don't care! I deserve love! Look at me!" Said Queen Manatee.
"You are beautiful on the outside, but ugly on the inside." Said Mabel looking angry.
"I don't have to take this! Guards come remove these two from my presence and throw them in the dungeon!" Said Queen Manatee.
Some manatee guards arrived and grabbed Mabel and Mermando. One guard searched Mabel's sweater pockets and found a little vial of the transformation potion in her pocket. Mabel had been saving it for herself or for Mermando. The guard handed it to Queen Manatee.
"What do we have here?" Asked Queen Manatee as she eyed the vial.
"That's nothing, but cough medicine, you wouldn't like that." Said Mabel quickly.
"I don't think that's what this is. I think this is what turned you and your friends into mermaids and sea creatures to get down here. I wonder what would happen if I drink it. Would it turn me into something more beautiful then I am right now?" Said Queen Manatee.
"Don't drink it! It could turn you into a human and you would die down here! Plus you're already beautiful, you just need to work on your personality a bit." Said Mabel.
"Don't care! It's a risk I'm willing to take!" Said Queen Manatee before uncorking the vial and sucked up the fluid inside in one gulp.
At first nothing happened then Queen Manatee let out a gasp of pain as she doubled over in pain. Everyone watched in shock as Queen Manatee seemed to double in size and change shape as her clothes ripped and tear. Queen Manatee's face became more human-like as she grew long grey hair, the top half of her body became more human-like as her flippers changed into arms and hands, a belly button appeared, and she grew a pair of large boobs that ripped through her dress. The transformation soon stopped as the transformed Queen Manatee blinked and looked at herself. She still had a manatee tail for her bottom half. The Queen Manatee had changed into a manatee maid!
"I'm absolutely beautiful!" Said Queen Manatee catching a look of herself in the mirror.
"You are." Said Mermando and the guards as they stared at her in awe.
Mabel just scowled. Queen Manatee turned to the guards.
"Guards go find the visitors that arrived and have them brought here to me. One of them must have created that wonderful potion and I want him to make more or make my transformation permanent!"
"Yes oh beautiful one!" Said the guards before swimming off.
"Oh no." Said Mabel as she realized she made things worse for her and her friends.
