How did I end up in this mess?
That is the question Jaune Arc has been asking himself from day one, ever since he ended up in the world of Pokemon! All he wanted to do was make himself better as a huntsman in training in order to be more useful to his friends and teammates. But it seems destiny had other plans for him, especially when he accidentally stumbled into the world of Pokemon!
Now, one wonders how someone accidentally sends themselves to another world. Well, it all started when Jaune had the bright idea to mix a bunch of dust crystals together and see what would happen. Now, any sane person would know that was a bad idea, but when you're desperate to not get a failing grade in science class...one is willing to try just about anything in order to pass!
That is how Jaune found himself in Paldea, an island filled with all kinds of creatures he never knew before called Pokemon!
It's been about a year and 2 months since he ended up in Paldea, and he's actually been doing pretty well for himself. Especially when he ended up in Cortondo, and ended up getting taken in by the gym leader/owner and head Baker of the Patisserie Soapberry known as Katy.
Currently, Jaune was having a training session with Katy with her strongest Pokemon.
The Pokemon in question was a bipedal, ursine Pokemon. Its broad body is covered in brown fur, except for its muzzle, inner ears, and paw pads, which are yellow. It has narrow eyes, a triangular, black nose, and a wide mouth with small, visible fangs in the upper jaw. The fur on Ursaring's shoulders is longer and more structured, with rectangular extensions. There is a large, yellow, ring-shaped mark shaped like a new moon on its chest. Ursaring's forelimbs are long, ending in five claws each, while its hind legs are short and thick, ending in three claws each. Its tail is large and spherical in shape.
This is Ursaring, the hibernator Pokemon.
Jaune, on the other hand, was using a Pokemon that was given to him by the gym leader herself.
The Pokemon in question was a bipedal, insectoid Pokémon which resembles a locust. It is primarily dark gray, with glossy black colorations on the head, thorax, lower abdomen, forearms, lower legs, and third set of legs. Its face is covered in a mask-like plate and contains a pair of black triangular antennae with two white stripes on top, along with orange triangular eyes and a triangular notch on its chin. Its thorax and abdomen are separated by a white belt, with an X-shaped pattern at the front. It has a pair of white claws on each of its hands and a single claw on each foot. Its forearms have an orange spike each, while its calves have two orange spikes protruding towards the back.
This was Lokix, the grasshopper Pokemon.
"Lokix, use throat chop!"ordered Jaune, which made the grasshopper Pokemon jump towards Ursaring and strike her in the throat.
"Ursa!"said the hibernator pokémon as she was pushed back.
"Use slash!"ordered Katy, causing Ursaring to extend her claws with the intention of slashing Lokix!
"Jump into the air to avoid it!"ordered Jaune, causing the grasshopper Pokemon to use its back third legs to jump out of the way, avoiding getting hit by slash in the nick of time.
"Now use axe kick!"ordered Jaune, which caused the grasshopper Pokemon to jump into the air, extended third legs, and deliver a powerful downwards ax kick to the hibernator pokémon, causing super effective damage as it was a fighting type move!
Ursaring quickly fell to the floor a few seconds later, where it was revealed she was knocked out.
"Good!"said Katy to her pupil while she was recalling the hibernator pokémon back to her pokeball.
"I finally managed to get one on you, Sensei!"said Jaune with a smile, making the pastry chef / gym leader smile.
It had been a little over a year since Jaune ended up on her doorstep, hungry, and with no place to go. Katy took pity on the young man, especially when he looked like he was going to steal one of her pastries to eat. He stopped himself at the last second, apologized, and was about to leave before the gym leader offered him a position at her bakery.
Jaune quickly learned the tools of the trade, so to speak, and learn how to make sweets with just a few weeks of training. He soon took up interest in pokémon, and Katy showed him the many different kinds of Pokemon that live in Paldea.
Now, after about a year of training, she felt like he was ready to take her on when she was fighting serious..That is why they had the battle they had earlier, where his Lokix battled her Ursaring. And in the end, Jaune came out the victor!
"So, how is your journey to get back home?"inquired Katy, wondering if the young man was any closer to his goal of getting back home.
"Hmm... I think I'm close. I just need to make one more expedition down to Area Zero, and I'm sure I'll be able to find a way back home."said Jaune, who was confident that the mysterious powers of the great crater of Paldea would allow him to go back home and see his friends again at Beacon Academy.
He wondered how much time had passed since he last saw them, since he lost saw Pyrrha and Ruby, Nora and Ren, Yang and Blake, and he couldn't forget about...Weiss...
"Well, just try not to be so reckless! I know you captured that Pokemon from Area Zero, and you managed to gain its trust, but you worry me with how reckless you can be at times."said Katy, feeling that her apprentice was a bit reckless at times.
"I'm sorry for worrying you, Sensei. It's just that I really want to go back home. I'm much stronger than I used to be, thanks to you and the others who gave me the time of day. Now I want to show everyone just how useful I am now."said Jaune, telling his Sensei that he had a lot to prove.
"Well... with those six Pokemon you've captured over your journey, I'm sure you'll be able to do it. Just promise to be careful."said Katy, who worries about her pupil.
"Hey, you're the one who showed me how strong bug type Pokemon can be. So, I built a team around the strongest bug type user in the world, Unova Champion Alder. I don't know why, but I feel like I can relate to bug types since they're considered the weakest type, just like how I was considered the weakest student back of my old school."said Jaune, remembering the times he was compared to a bug.
Something he hated, but now bothered him little.
"Well, you don't only use bug types, and you know it."said Katie, knowing half of Jaune's team was not made of bug type Pokemon.
"Hey, you got me."said Jaune, who can never get past Katy.
"Now make your way to Area Zero.. And if you don't come back, that either means you succeeded, or something bad happened to you. I'll pray to Arceus that it's the first part and not the second."said Katy, who worried about Jaune.
This was to be expected since one does not take care of someone for a long time and not grow to care about them, that's just next to impossible.
"Lokix, return."said Jaune, as he recalled the grasshopper Pokemon to a nest ball.
"I'll never understand why you decided to use different pokeballs to capture your Pokemon."said Katy, as one or two different pokeball were not unexpected, but you have pretty much all your pokeballs be different was just weird.
"Well, it helps me figure out which Pokemon is and which pokeball. I'm surprised more trainers don't do this."said Jaune in his defense.
"Well, you're right when you say you couldn't tell regular pokeballs apart, so I guess it makes sense."said Katy with a smile.
"Well... I guess this is possibly goodbye for now... I'm not sure if I'm coming back, and if I don't come back, I just want to let you know I appreciate everything you've done for me, sensei."said Jaune before he went over and gave Katy a hug.
The sugerbug quickly returns the hug, stroking her gloved hand through his hair.
"Just live a life with no regrets."said Katy before she let go of Jaune.
The young man nodded his head before leaving the battlefield so he could make his way to Area Zoro as fast as possible.
Katy wasn't sure if she was going to see him again, but if there was one thing she was sure of, it was that she was glad to have been his teacher for this last year and 2 months.
"Well, I better make some sweets for the evening rush."said Katy, deciding to go back downstairs so she could bake a fresh pair of pastries for her afternoon customers.
Jaune, on the other hand, was ordering a flying taxi that would take him to the gate of Area Zero. It wasn't his first time going to where the strongest Pokemon lived in Paldea, but he knew that the deeper he went, the more dangerous it was! Especially with a unique Pokemon that lived in Area Zero. And he should know. After all, he did capture one of them and just barely gained its trust!
Now the only question is, will it be enough to help him reach the death of the great crater, which will hopefully have a way to send him back home!
Only time will tell!
That is what the young man thought to himself. A couple of moments later, he was in a flying taxi, which took him to the gates of the great crater of Paldea in moments.
"Are you sure you want to go down there?"inquire the driver of the flying taxi.
"It's not my first time going on an expedition here. I'm just hoping it will not be my last."said Jaune, knowing that I was going to take everything he had to survive this place.
"Just be careful as powerful Pokemon call this place their home."said the driver of the flying taxi.
"I know... believe me... I know."said Jaune, who looked at an Ultra Ball when he said that.
"Now let's see what this place will offer me. Hopefully, I will make my dream of going back home a reality!"said Jaune to himself, as he prepared to face whatever Area Zero had to throw at him again.
He just hopes she makes it out to Remnant in one piece!
I decided to give Jaune a Lokix because I feel like bug type Pokemon is underappreciated. Alder of black and white was the first champion I ever faced in a pokémon game, and he gave me a run for my money. His bug type pokémon were amazing, despite the fact that very young me had the impression that bug type pokémon were easy to deal with. Well, he proved me wrong.
So I decided to give Jaune a team inspired by Alder.
One) because black and white were based on the US, and RWBY is the first official anime made in the US, at least as far as I know ,
Two) Jaune has been compared to a bug more than once, so having bug types makes sense.
Now, he will have other Pokemon besides bug types, so don't worry. He also has a popular Pokemon, but I'm pretty sure everyone will know what it is by now.
Now, I haven't decided if I'm going to give him a future paradox Pokemon or a past paradox Pokemon. I really love both concepts, and I think they're super awesome.
If I'm being completely honest, I really don't know where I'm going with this story. All I do know is the next chapter, and Jaune will definitely return home.
How will the world of Remnant react to his Pokemon?
How will they react to a much stronger Jaune?
Only time will tell, I guess, if you want answers to these questions! So please like and follow this story if he even has a little bit of your interest... Please.
Now, I'm going to try to make the story longer by making longer chapters. But keep in mind I'm an amateur writer, so this will be very hard for me. But I'm up for the challenge since I want to make a good impression and all that.
