Ch 1
Long ago, in Philadelphia, Thaddeus Sivana, his brother Sid, and his dad were in a car trip when suddenly he was mysteriously teleported into a glowing rock temple.
"Thaddeus Sivana." a deep voice said.
"Who's asking?" Thaddeus asked.
"I am the last of the Council of the Wizards." the man with the glowing staff replied. "I was part of the Champions, protecting the world against the Seven Deadly Sins."
Then Thaddeus saw a golden hologram of seven wizards fighting against the shadowy Sins.
"You want me to do magic?" Thaddeus asked in surprise.
The Wizard nodded, then showed Thaddeus his magic staff.
"With this, all of my powers will become yours. But first, you must demonstrate that you're pure of heart and strong in spirit."
Suddenly, Thaddeus heard several raspy voices and it seemed like they were all coming at once.
He lies.
Don't be his champion.
We can give you power.
Then Thaddeus saw the glowing Eye of the Sin and started to reach for it.
Take the eye!
Your father thinks you're weak.
Show him your power.
Thaddeus almost reached the orb when suddenly a bolt of energy zapped, forcing Thaddeus back.
"What happened?" Thaddeus asked.
"Only the purest of hearts can resist their temptations." the Wizard said grimly. "But you, you will never be worthy."
Then the Wizard slammed down his staff and Thaddeus was teleported back into his car.
"No! It's not fair!" Thaddeus yelled.
He was so close.
So close to having power.
"Shut up!" Sid yelled.
Then the car crashed and flipped over. Thaddeus' dad was on the ground and Sid went to him but Thaddeus tried to find his magic 8 ball.
When he finally got it, he turned over the ball and saw two glowing words.
FIND US.
These had to be from the Sins.
Then Thaddeus just realized something.
He didn't need to be good.
He just needed to be powerful.
