Prologue: Lucy's Confession & Erza's Girlfriend
Lucy Heartfilia sat down at the bar in the Fairy Tail guild, her blonde hair being tied into a ponytail that was on the right side of her head. The plain yellow ribbon in Lucy's hair went well with her daffodil yellow T-shirt, which complimented her deep yellow khaki pants. Lucy's deep yellow khaki pants went well with her light yellow flat shoes, and her feet gently touched the floor of the guildhall. Lucy currently ate a cheeseburger that was on the plate in front of her, glad that Mirajane Strauss prepared some food for her today.
This was the day where Lucy would confess her romantic feelings to Erza Scarlet, someone who had been her teammate while also being one of the most beautiful women in the Fairy Tail guild. Yesterday, Erza helped Lucy out with a job where they both had to pose in bikinis for a photo shoot that was being conducted by Jason from Sorcerer Magazine. Seeing Erza requip into wearing a black bikini that showed off most of her cleavage and the curves of her ass really made Lucy's cheeks blush light pink, and she perceived Erza to be very beautiful.
In fact, Erza was always beautiful in many of the different outfits that she wore. Whenever she requipped into her Heaven's Wheel Armor, Erza would confidently smile and not mind that huge portions of her large breasts could be seen. Lucy blushed more from recalling a previous job where Erza fell out of the sky to land on her during a fight, feeling her massive breasts push against Lucy's huge mounds of flesh, and Erza did want Lucy to be okay after that harsh impact. Lucy did feel okay, especially with how Erza always wanted to protect her.
One mission that they recently handled together even involved Erza using her swords to slice apart a giant monster that lunged towards Lucy, and seeing Erza smile in such a caring manner caused Lucy to view their friendship as being more romantic. Since Erza always wanted to protect her and care for her, Lucy felt warmth in her heart from thinking that they were both experiencing feelings of love. Lucy giggled cutely as her cocoa brown eyes looked at the entrance doors of the guildhall, seeing Erza finally get here. Upon seeing Erza walk towards the bar, Lucy slowly got off of the stool and strolled up to her.
"Hi, Erza." Lucy told her with a somewhat flustered smile on her face, blushing as she gently put her hands behind her back.
Erza responded to Lucy in a nice manner, seeming somewhat uncomfortable, "Hi, Lucy. Your face seems like you have a fever or something."
Lucy replied in a somewhat nervous manner, twiddling her thumbs as she gazed into her eyes, "Erza, that's...! I'm not sick! I'm...! I'm just happy that you're here! You're so beautiful, and...!"
Before Lucy could get herself out of this flustered state, she watched Erza calmly walk past her. Erza walked over to the request board while wearing a bubblegum pink kimono with a plain pink sash around it, and her hair was tied back into a long ponytail. Erza also wore some cherry red sandals, and she seemed like this was the day where she would be attending a festival. Lucy hadn't heard of any festivals occurring in Magnolia, and she also didn't own a kimono. She wondered if Erza was going out to a festival later today, and Lucy would be happy to prepare for it.
She still had money from the previous job that she handled with Erza, which was more than enough money to pay her apartment's monthly rent, and Lucy didn't mind taking a low-paying job today if it meant that she could have fun at a festival with Erza. Lucy went over to the request board with a kind smile on her face, and she stood next to Erza as the stern woman unpinned a pink flyer from the request board. Lucy's eyes briefly glanced at the flyer, seeing that it was a job that Erza would have to handle in the distant town of Sunnysol.
Sunnysol was said to be a bright town with several hotels, along with attractions such as festivals. Lucy eyes became filled with joy from thinking that Erza picked out this job for them to handle, and Lucy would be happy to buy a kimono in that leisurely town. She quietly followed Erza over to a nearby table, smiling happily as her cheeks continued to blush. As Erza placed the flyer on the brown table and let Lucy sit across from her, Lucy gently closed her eyes for a moment. She started to softly smile, thinking that this was the right moment for her confession.
"Erza, I'm in love with you. I've been holding in these romantic feelings for you, and I want you to be my first girlfriend! I'm glad that we'll have so much fun together at today's festival, Erza!" Lucy stated aloud to her friend, her face blushing rose pink as she saw that the kimono exposed a large amount of Erza's cleavage.
Lucy's confession caused Erza to ask in a confused manner, having a facial expression that displayed discomfort as she explained herself, "You want me to be your girlfriend? Lucy, you must be misunderstanding how I feel about you. I view you as a good friend, but I'm meeting up with my girlfriend Annette in Sunnysol for tonight's festival. Annette Rosia from the Aroma Flair guild and I met at that fashion show in Bloom Town, but I guess I should've told you that instead of waiting eight months to go public with my side of the relationship.
Lucy asked aloud with a surprised look appearing on her face, her eyes widening in disbelief as she attempted to process what Erza said, "Girlfriend? Erza, you... already have.. a girlfriend? Annette Rosia, the... fashion model?"
Erza simply told Lucy in a calm manner, feeling like it was best for her to get these criticisms out, "Lucy, this is my second romantic relationship. Annette and I are both experienced in dating, and you've never even kissed anyone. Sorry, Lucy. Anyway, I'll be spending time with Annette."
Erza calmly got up from the table with the pink flyer in her hands, before taking it to Mirajane for her to officially stamp the flyer with the guild's insignia. Lucy watched Erza smile nicely at the job, her cheeks blushing as if Annette herself had written it. Erza proceeded to walk out of the guild without another saying anything else, and Lucy was left sitting at that table with the feeling of heartbreak causing her chest to tighten. She didn't want to cry or scream about being rejected right now, and Lucy started to wonder why fate made her not be in a relationship with Erza.
She decided to let herself be fated to go back to the bar, eating the remaining portions of her cheeseburger out of frustration. Lucy felt like the food had become ashes in her mouth, no different than the prospect of a relationship with Erza burning down into ashes. With the chances of their friendship never being able to escalate beyond its current state, Lucy felt like she had wasted so much of her time. During those eight months where Erza and Annette were together, Lucy had bought little gifts such as perfumes and teddy bears for Erza.
However, Erza only perceived Lucy as a friend in the moments where she accepted all of those gifts. She misunderstood Lucy's attempts at trying to make them be more than friends, and Lucy made her left fist slam down on the bar's wooden counter. That got the attention of Mirajane, who simply watched Lucy elicit a loud sigh hat was a mix of frustration and depression. Lucy simply watched Mirajane take the white plate off of the counter, and she just felt so heartbroken right now. Lucy wasn't in the mood for Mira's conversations about romance, and neither Natsu or Gray could be a comforting figure right now because of how they were out on a mission where a bakery requested their assistance with making treats with only their respective types of magic.
Since everyone else was out on jobs right now, Lucy tried her best to ignore how all of her previous jobs with Erza amounted to nothing romantic sparking between them. That prompted her to feel like she just needed to spend some time away from the Fairy Tail guild, and Lucy hastily walked over to the request board. She unpinned a mauve purple flyer, only caring about the distant location pertaining to this job. Lucy wasted no time with going back to the bar, letting her emotions slip out by how she shoved the flyer in Mira's face, and the barmaid looked a bit concerned as she stamped the flyer.
"Seductive Witch?" Mirajane asked Lucy in a curious manner, looking at the job's description.
Lucy responded with some feelings of sadness in her voice, letting some tears start to fall from her eyes, "I guess you could say that about Erza. I was in love with her, but she doesn't love me! Mira, I'm guessing you knew she had a girlfriend!"
Mira replied in a kind manner, handing Lucy some white tissues from the bar's drawer, "No, nothing like that. I was just referring to the guild that's mentioned in the flyer. Lucy, Seductive Witch is a dark guild in Mauve Town, and you'd be very far from Fairy Tail."
Lucy simply took the tissues from Mira without a word, thinking that she could handle herself in a far-off place. This would be Lucy's first time going to the town of Mauve, and she was prepared for any fights that would occur. She had her grey ring of ten golden keys in the left pocket of her khaki pants, and Lucy felt that she was now prepared to handle this new job. Even if she took hours to take down that dark guild, she was spared from attending a festival where Erza would probably be kissing Anette. The thought of them sharing a kiss made Lucy run of the guildhall with the flyer in one hand, and she felt very hurt as she ran down the grey stairs that led to the dirt path. That path led into Magnolia Town, which was where Lucy could take a train to Mauve Town.
