It was a normal day in Japan, especially for 14 year old Usagi Tsukino. Usagi was a girl with long golden blond hair that was put up in two pigtails but at the top of her head her hair was tied into two balls that resembled meatballs.
Poor Usagi had a rough day. First she woke up late and had to eat her breakfast and when she was done she ran into a cat with a two bandages that formed an X on its forehead and when she removed it she saw that it there was a crescent moon symbol on its forehead. The cat jumped out of her hands and looked at her before running away from her. Usagi then made a mad dash to school and ended up being late. She later got her test back and saw that she got a 30% on it. Later when school was over she was running home and ran into a black haired man named Mamoru Chiba. Mamoru saw her test score and scolded her for getting such a low score and that caused Usagi to lash out towards him.
Later when she got home her mother yelled at her for getting such a low score and lashed out at her. She then kicked Usagi out of the house and yelled at her to go study at the library. The blond cried for her mother to let her back in and it eventually worked and the blonde girl changed into another outfit, wanting to get out of her uniform.
Usagi was now wearing a pink sleeveless turtle neck shirt and a light blue shirt with black mary jane shoes and topped all off by wearing a crescent moon necklace.
Her mother eventually came up to her room and dragged her out of the house because she wanted her daughter to go study and get better grades. Usagi cried again but she wasn't let back in like earlier. She eventually stopped crying and pouted and muttering that it wasn't fair how her mother treated her.
"Kicking you out of the house seems a bit harsh" A voice said to her
"I know right!" Usagi said in response
The blonde then realized she was being talked to and looked over to see where the voice was coming from.
"Huh? Where that voice come from?" Usagi asked
The voice then responded to her question.
"Down here" The voice said
The young blond looked down and saw that it was that same black cat with the crescent moon that she had ran into earlier this morning.
"You're that cat from this morning" Usagi said
She was then shocked when the cat spoke to her.
"Indeed I am" The cat said
"Whoa! You can talk!" Usagi said
"Of course I can talk. Why wouldn't I be able to talk?" The cat asked
"B-but normal cats can't talk! Have I gone crazy?! How is a cat talking to me?! Is this a sign that its the end of the world?! But there are so many things that I still wanted to do!" Usagi said in a panic
"Calm down Usagi!" The cat said
That seemed to have worked because the girl stopped talking and looked at her with confusion.
"How do you know my name?" Usagi asked
"I've been watching you ever since our encounter this morning. I can since a deep power within you" The cat said
"Power? What are you talking about? And who are you?" Usagi asked
"Oh forgive me. My name is Luna" Luna said
"Well nice to meet you Luna" Usagi said
Suddenly her best friend, Naru Osaka, suddenly appeared. Naru had curly auburn hair that stopped at the center of her neck and was always seen wearing a blue ribbon in her hair. Naru was currently wearing a long orange top with long sleeves and at the bottom she wore a dark green skirt with light blue stockings completed with black mary jane shoes.
"Usagi! Usagi!" Naru said in excitement
"What's got you all excited Naru?" Usagi asked
"My mom's having a sale on her jewelry at her shop! You've got come and pick out some jewelry while you still can!" Naru said
Usagi's blue eyes sparkled and agreed to come without hesitation.
"You bet I'm there!" Usagi said
The blonde girl immediately forgot about Luna even though she was still standing there and ran off with her friend before Luna even had the chance to yell at her to come back. The black cat sighed and had no choice but to follow them.
The sale was still ongoing but something was wrong with jewels that were being sold they seemed to have been sapping the energy from the humans that were wearing them. Each customer started to collapse one by one. By the time Usagi and Naru arrived they saw the people that were blacking out.
"What's going on here?" Naru asked
"Maybe they're so excited about the jewelry they fainted from excitement" Usagi said
Naru looked at her friend with a look of disbelief.
"There's no way that's what's happening here" Naru said
Naru's mother, Mayumi Osaka, approached them.
"Care for some Jewelry? Their's a sale" Mayumi said
Naru could tell right away that the person in front of her wasn't her mother at all. She didn't even acknowledge her existence.
"Who are you?" Naru asked
"It's me your mother" Mayumi said
"No you're not! Who are you really? My mother doesn't treat me like a customer, she treats me like a daughter" Naru said
"Sweet little Naru, let's just calm down" Mayumi said
"Now I know you're not her! My mother always calls me precious gem. She always told me that I'm a one of kind gem that she'll never sell to anyone! I'll ask you again! Who are you?!" Naru asked with more aggression
The Mayumi look-a-like. Just stood there and scowled.
"You just had to the smart here didn't you? Doesn't matter though because both you and your friend will be giving me your energy!" The Mayumi imposter said
The imposter's skin started to crack and her eyes blackened and her iris changed her to yellow. A red scar like wound appeared on her forehead and clothes changed to a long black gown that covered her feet.
"I AM MORGA!" Morga announced
Both Naru and Usagi looked at the monster with fear in their eyes.
"RUN!" Naru shouted
Usagi didn't need to be told twice and ran along with best friend to get away from the monster that was now chasing them. They looked back and saw that the customers that had passed out had gotten up and started to chase them. It looked like they were in a zombie like state. Usagi turned towards an alleyway while Naru kept running forward.
Usagi panted heavily. She had her hands on her knees trying to catch her breath.
"What just happened in there?" Usagi asked
"It was a youma from the dark kingdom" A voice said to her
Usagi looked over and saw that Luna was sitting there on a dumpster.
"Luna? What are you doing here? Never mind that we need to run. There's some monster that's after me and Naru" Usagi said
"I know I saw the whole thing" Luna said
Usagi thought back to what Luna had first said.
"Hold on did you say Dark kingdom?" Usagi asked
"Yes, the dark kingdom is kingdom bent on ruling the world and stealing the life energy from the people of this planet" Luna said
"And there's nothing that can be done to stop them?" Usagi asked
"There is a way to stop them" Luna said
"How?" Usagi asked
"You need to fight them" Luna said
Usagi nodded and clenched her fists.
"Right I need to fight them" Usagi said with determination
The blonde stood there for a couple a seconds until the information processed.
"WAIT! WHAT DO YOU MEAN I HAVE TO FIGHT THEM?!" Usagi shouted
"Its exactly as I said. You need to fight them, Usagi" Luna said
"ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?!" Usagi shouted
"Keep your voice down" Luna said
"Luna, how can you expect me to fight them. I'm not a fighter. I don't know any martial arts or have any type of training whatsoever. I'm not even athletic! How do you expect me to fight a monster like that?!" Usagi asked in a panic
"Its because you have the power to do so" Luna said
This caused the blonde to calm down a bit and looked at the black cat's red eyes.
"What do you mean I have the power to do so?" Usagi asked
"I believe that possess the power of the legendary precure" Luna said
"Precure? What's a precure?" Usagi asked
"A Precure is a legendary warrior that fights the forces of evil. I can sense that you have precure energy within you. In order to fight you need to draw it out and that's what I'm here for" Luna said
"Luna, even if I have this so called energy I'm not fighter. I don't even like fighting to begin with" Usagi said
"So you're okay with Dark Kingdom taking the planet to enslave or kill everyone you know and love? Is that what your saying?" Luna asked
Usagi thought about it and had to be honest with her new friend.
"Well...no I'm not" Usagi said
"Then the only thing you can do to stop them is to become the legendary precure and fight them. Fighting is the only way to stop them" Luna said
Usagi was silent before sighing in defeat.
"Fine, what do I have to do to become this precure?" Usagi asked
Luna did a magic flip and a broach with a crescent moon appears in Usagi's hands.
"What's this?" Usagi asked
"That's a transformation broach. It will allow to change into a precure. All you need to do is shout these words: Precure planet power" Luna said
Usagi seemed to have understood and gave it a try.
"Precure Planet Power"
Usagi's appearance soon made a drastic change. Her golden blonde hair was undone and retied itself. Her hair formed into buns like they were normally except they weren't in pigtails. The rest of hair flowed downwards naturally reaching her lower back. Her hair color also changed from golden blond to silvery-white. A pearl white tiara with three small feathers on both sides appeared on her head. Short white gloves appeared on her hands and there were crescent moon symbols on them. Golden crescent moon earrings appeared on her ears. A pale blue choker with a yellow crescent moon appears on her neck. A white top appeared and on her chest was a white ribbon with the crescent broach at its center. The top had short puffy short sleeves with frills and the bottom of the top also had frills. A pale blue skirt with frills appeared and a white ribbon appeared on the back of the skirt. White boots with pale blue laces appeared on her feet.
Usagi then started to make an introduction before she had time to process what she had changed into.
"A white warm light with the power to dispel the darkness, Cure Moon! In the name I shall punish you!"
Usagi looked at herself in shock and wondered what on earth had happened to her.
"Whoa what happened to me? What with these clothes? And what happened to my hair?" Moon asked
Luna walked up to her with a smile on her face.
"You've become a precure" Luna said
"A precure? This is a precure? But I just changed my clothes and hair color!" Moon said
"Calm down. If you remain calm you should be able to feel the overflowing power within yourself" Luna said
Moon did just that and could actually feel the power within her and was shocked that she even had this type of power in the first place.
Some of the zombie customers found her and rushed towards her.
"Moon look out!" Luna said
Moon panicked and jumped. She opened her eyes and was very shocked to see that she was high up in her air, perhaps a little too high. She screamed and ended up falling but she some how managed to land safely on the ground without a single injury. This shocked her because she was not athletic at all.
"W-what just happened? Did I really jump that high?" Moon asked herself
More of the zombie customers appeared and got very close. In a panic she shoved the first one that was close to her and he flew back with great force, knocking down the other mind controlled humans as well.
Moon looked at her hands in amazement.
"I can't believe I did that" Moon said
Luna soon appeared right beside her.
"As a precure you're strength, speed and durability have been amped up. As I said before. The power of the precure can defeat the enemy before you" Luna said
"Now I understand. But Luna these are just regular people aren't they? They're just being controlled" Moon said
"Well the only logical thing to do is to take down the monster that's controlling them" Luna said
Luna did have a point. If Moon were to somehow take down the monster that was controlling these poor people then these people will be set free.
Mamoru Chiba was currently running away from all the mind controlled humans.
"Just what is going on? These people are acting like zombies, except this is no movie" Mamoru said
The young man soon found himself completely surrounded and couldn't find a way to escape from this situation. He closed his eyes as they dived towards him. But he didn't feel any pain, in fact he felt light. He felt like he was flying and opened his eyes to see that he was actually flying. He felt a pair of hands around him and looked over to see who it was and saw a pretty girl with silvery-white hair holding him.
Mamoru was put down safely and looked at the girl who had just saved his life.
"W-who are you?" Mamoru asked
"I am Cure Moon" Moon said
"Cure...Moon?" Mamoru asked
The young man then grabbed his head like he was pain and saw an image of some sort of princess with twin tails.
Moon was worried about Mamoru asked him if he was okay.
"Are you okay?" Moon asked
Mamoru managed to shake off the headache.
"Y-yeah I just got a headache. I got into accident that gave me amnesia years ago and I suffer from these headaches and weird dreams from time to time" Mamoru said
"Well at least I know you're okay now" Moon said
"Do you know what's going on?" Mamoru asked
"Some monster stole the energy of the people here and now they are under her control. I'm trying to find this monster and slay her" Moon said
"Monster huh? Maybe I can give you clue if you can tell me where you remembered seeing her last" Mamoru said
"I do know that she was chasing a girl with auburn hair" Moon said
"That sounds like Naru Osaka. I think I saw her running towards central park" Mamoru said
"Thank you" Moon said before jumping away
Mamoru can't help but feel like he's seen that warrior before but he has no idea where.
Naru was now in the central park and was completely out of breath and couldn't run anymore. She looked over and saw that Morga and her army were there.
"You can't run anymore little girl. I'll be taking your energy now!" Morga said
Morga stretched her right hand and tried to grab poor Naru and the poor girl closed her eyes to prepare for the worst. She heard some sort of slapping noise but didn't feel any pain. She opened her eyes and saw a girl with silvery-white hair in front of her. She had blocked the monster's giant hand with her smaller hand, which obviously held great strength if it was able to block that monster's attack.
"What the-? Who are you?" Morga asked
"I am the legendary precure of the moon, Cure Moon" Moon said
Naru was in awe by this warrior's introduction. She had never heard of a precure before.
"Well Cure Moon, if you're planning on getting in my way then I'll just have to get rid of you myself" Morga said
Morga then charged head first at the white cure. However Moon was able to counterattack. She swung her right leg upwards right as the monster reached her. She had kicked the monster directly on the chin and sent her flying in the air.
"How dare you use jewelry that people use their blood, sweat and tears to create. I won't let you get away with this!" Moon claimed
Morga was currently in the air after being kicked very hard but the new warrior that had just appeared.
"What type of strength is this? No one is that strong!" Morga said
Moon appeared from above her and punched in her face, sending her back down towards the earth.
"Attack her my army! Rid of her!" Morga said
The army came after her but she managed to deal with them with ease and made sure to hold back her strength since she didn't want to seriously hurt them. They'll probably have some minor bruising but that was about it.
Moon remembered that Luna told her that she need to use the power of light to defeat it and she told her how to do it. She gathered up energy in her broach and it spread throughout her whole body. She then performed her first attack.
"Precure: Full Moon Ray"
Moon unleashed a white beam of power upon her opponent and all Morga could do before being hit by the attack was scream. After the attack was done, Morga was still there but her body was completely gray and then she crumbled to dust. The people that were under her control soon went back to normal.
A blonde man named Jadeite had watched the whole scene and frown.
"Precure. This could be a problem. I need to report this to her majesty at once" Jadeite said before teleporting away.
Naru approached Moon and thanked her.
"Thank you for saving me, Cure Moon" Naru said bowing
Moon put her hands in front of her and waved them.
"It's no big deal. It's my job to battle monsters like those" Moon said
Naru then opened her eyes in horror and looked at Moon with desperate eyes.
"Wait! My mother! I need to find my mother!" Naru said
Moon agreed to help and both of them were back at the shop and the white cure managed to find a closet and opened it to find Naru's mother tied up and gagged but otherwise alright.
The real Mayumi found herself awake and saw her daughter looking down on her with teary eyes.
"Naru? What happened?" Mayumi said
Naru hugged her mother and told her that she was attacked by monster and that Cure Moon had managed to defeat the beast. She had was worried the monster had done the unthinkable and killed her but Naru was glad that wasn't the case. Cure Moon took this time flee the scene since her work there was done. Hopefully when she meets up with Luna she can get a proper explanation of what's going on.
