Major Albert D. Pine sat in his room, which was a far cry from the utilitarian design he was used to. His aide dropped off his luggage as Pine gave the room a once-over. The room exuded opulence, the walls were adorned with rich wallpapers or hand-painted frescoes, and tall windows were framed by heavy velvet draperies.
Plush, upholstered furniture was arranged around an ornate coffee table, with intricately carved wooden cabinets showcasing fine china and collectibles. Decorative items like gilded mirrors, crystal vases with fresh flowers, and porcelain figurines enhanced the regal ambiance.
Fine art in gilded frames adorned the walls, reflecting the culture and heritage of the nobility. Every detail, from tassels on curtains to embroidered cushions, embodied elegance and refined taste.
Taking his leave, he and the lieutenant with him headed to the War Office, wherever that was. Pine paused, turning to his lieutenant with a questioning look. "You don't know where it is?"
The lieutenant paused before replying, "Sir, I don't. However, I have a DNI." The ODST raised his hands and clanked his helmet to emphasize the point.
Sighing about that, Pine observed London, which looked so different from the past he had seen. Signs of the battles that had occurred here were evident, marking a stark contrast to the present.
With Europe virtually lost, and the weight of command resting heavily on his shoulders, Major Albert D. Pine felt a giddy thrill at the thought of fighting the Beta to liberate France and push back the Red Menace.
"Major, didn't you know the Warsaw Pact still exists somehow?" The lieutenant's voice shattered his thoughts.
'Wait, how could they even exist?' He nearly blurted it out loud, looking around in disbelief.
"Major, we're here. you will be meeting with both the EESA (Eastern European Socialist Alliance) and the European Forces. But First, your meeting our regimental commander, Colonel Émillen Allard," the lieutenant informed him as they entered the building.
"Holy shit, how the hell is that supposed to work?" Pine exclaimed with uncertainty.
The ODST motioned for him to be silent. "Well, they don't exactly have their previous capabilities. They're more subordinate now. However, the real question is what the Colonel thinks about that."
As they continued through the building, they arrived at the Colonel's office. The lieutenant knocked on the door, and a voice from inside called them in. The lieutenant saluted and then left the room, leaving Pine to face the Colonel alone.
Colonel Émillen Allard, commander of the 212th Armored Regiment, sat behind his desk with an exhausted look. Major Rhisiart Morse was also present, both men wearing grim expressions.
The Colonel looked at Pine directly with an inquisitive gaze as Pine finally took his seat. "Since you've just arrived, I'll fill you in before the next talks for Operation Lionheart."
Pine glanced at Morse, who only shrugged. "The Europeans want this operation to begin on either October 30th or November 1st," the Colonel continued, pulling out a map of France and handing it to him. "We'll be taking the lead in encircling the hive in the Auvergne and Rhône-Alpes regions."
He paused, letting Pine process the information. "By October 30th, Major Reeds will be disembarking with the infantry from the McArthur and Kashgar."
Major Pine waited a moment before asking, "So are we going to head there now or what?"
The Colonel sighed, while Major Morse chuckled. "I'm not looking forward to the constant sparring over who gets second place, since we're charged with spearheading the operation."
Looking at Pine, Major Morse added, "Best we kill time until it comes around. After the Lunar affair, taking the hive down without leveling Auvergne and Rhône-Alpes, or at least near Lyon, will be a quest in itself."
He took another sip of his Coca-Cola before continuing, "The European Forces believe there's a way to do it with conventional arms, without resorting to extreme orbital bombardment or nuclear arms. Personally, I'm skeptical. It's far easier to just bombard it from orbit."
Pine nodded at the information, recalling what he'd heard from other officers. It was the first real losses they suffered, or maybe the Rear Admiral had made some major blunders.
Pine asked, "So, Colonel, I've heard about the big worm spouting an entire corps-sized Beta on their backs. Are we expected to see the same here?"
Both the Colonel and Major paused, Morse setting down his drink. He was the first to answer, his tone measured. "No, practically nothing. At least, that's what they say, according to General Steinman."
The Colonel's response was more mixed. "Hmm, that's what they say, but given the sudden rise in numbers, it's safe to assume they might have some, especially after Operation Priagolosies. All signs point to that."
As they continued to converse, time passed until a knock on the door interrupted them. Morse spoke for everyone in the room. "Seems our time has come to an end. Enter!"
The door opened, and a young man gave an immediate salute. "Reporting in, sir. I'm Corporal Edward D. Millet, here to guide you back to the operation room."
Morse spoke dismissively, "At ease, Corporal. Gentlemen, I believe we should be heading now."
The Colonel sighed tiredly, while Pine only went along, uncertain why their superior was acting as such.
Morse turned to Corporal Millet, speaking in an authoritative voice. "Well then, Corporal Millet, lead the way."
The Corporal nodded. "Yes, sir!"

Entering the room, they were guided by Corporal Millet, who showed them their seats and then took his own with a polite bow.
Major Pine observed the room, noting the presence of German and French officials, alongside a few Swedes.
A man in a Bundeswehr uniform stood and took the podium. His voice echoed through the room, "Gentlemen, I am General Eldric Reino Steinman, your new speaker. I am currently in charge of the upcoming Operation Lionheart. Let's begin."
Pine glanced at Morse, who passed him a folder. The General continued, "Operation Lionheart will commence with an initial strike from UNSC Izumi, Mc Arthur and other orbital forces, followed by landings by the British, French, and German forces under the European Forces and UN 1st Army in Normandy. This will be followed by the deployment of the majority of our forces, alongside the UNSC 212th Armored Regiment."
There was a brief pause as Morse handed Pine a can of Coca-Cola. General Steinman continued, "Following that, a contingent of Spanish and Portuguese forces under European command, along with the American Seventh Army, supported by UNSC Resist and Bite, will land at Viana Do Castelo and Porto, beginning the liberation of the Iberian Peninsula."
A swift pause followed, with the sound of papers shuffling. "Quite ambitious, don't you agree, Colonel?" Morse spoke with a questioning tone and a hint of disbelief.
Colonel Allard huffed, staring off before replying in a voice that conveyed his experience with such situations, "That's doubtless, Major Morse. From 1986 to the 1990s, that's over sixteen to twenty years under occupation. It's quite literally the whole European continent."
Major Pine nodded in agreement, adding in a knowing tone, "And it's the best time to do it, given that attrition is just as bad as back home. They didn't pick a bad time."
Major Morse looked at him before turning back to the Colonel, "And do you see something in their desperation, Colonel Allard?"
Colonel Émillen Allard looked far away, his voice tinged with memories of pain, "That's... well, let me ask you. Have you personally participated in the battlefields of Harvest? The campaign of Vice Admiral Preston Cole?"
Major Morse was silent for a moment before replying, "Not exactly."
Allard chuckled, sharing his own experience, "Well, then it's best to stay the same."
Colonel Allard's tone grew measured, guarding against any questioning or probing, "Focus back on this. The Europeans are putting everything on the line, far more than the East has been. All their hopes are on us in this, and I tell you now, Major Morse and Pine, for the Europeans, they see us as a godsend, just as we see the Spartans as legends."
His pause left a mark on the two officers. Behind his aged eyes, the Colonel saw not just the Europeans, but almost his colleagues among them, discussing how they could repel the Covenant even with their desperate situation. Then he showed up, offering a hand of god to them... just maybe they were that.
General Steinman resumed after his lengthy pause, "With the combined forces of the US Third Army, Norwegian and Swedish European Forces, along with support from the UNSC Unlimited Love and onboard Marines and ODSTs, they will all land at Bergen and Stavanger in Norway. Their respective goals and tasks involve intercepting and eventually destroying Beta from the Rovaniemi Hive, designated Objective 08."
A deep pause followed, sending chills down everyone listening. General Steinman's voice now carried a powerful tone. "I will be very blunt. With the forces we have amassed, now is the time to strike. However, this will be a far bloodier affair—a large-scale offensive to retake all of Europe in a swift yet brutal blow, opening a new front against the Beta. I cannot thank the UNSC enough for giving us this new opportunity. Now, for those with questions, I believe this is the time to ask and inquire further."
A silent pause ensued before an American general raised his hand. Pointing to him, the American introduced himself, "I have a question, General Steinman. Introduction first for those who don't know me: I'm General James Benjamin Peake, in command of the Seventh Army."
General Steinman's voice was filled with curiosity as he answered, "Go ahead, General Peake."
General Peake nodded before asking a very serious question, "So how in tarnation are we supposed to supply our boys with that so-called large-scale offensive? From what I see, once we encounter one big Beta Corp, we'll run out of ammunition and fuel for our TSFs."
His question resonated with the concerns many others held. It was then that Colonel Émillen Allard stood up and reintroduced himself to the generals and officers. "That, General Peake, can be answered by us providing near-constant orbital support. We have ships from the lunar base heading here, and with much hope, they will be screening our forces to provide constant support."
The Colonel's answer was met with inquisitive gazes—some filled with hope, others with uncertainty. General Peake, however, seemed satisfied, giving a jolly grin before sitting back down.
The next to ask was a British General by the name of Sir Charles "Reddy" Redmond Watt. His question was on how much support the Americans were going to provide. "General Steinman, might I inquire as to how much support the Americans will exactly give us?" His voice was grave, filled with concern.
General Steinman looked over and eyed the American general, Steven Lloyd Arnold, who understood and answered the British general in a calm tone. "The United States of America is fully committed to the liberation of Europe. The 2nd Fleet and 6th Fleet have already been deployed, and currently, the 5th Fleet is heading here to provide further support. Supply-wise, the UNSC has taken the majority of the burden in the Far East, thus removing some of the strain from us. We are fully pulling our weight in this operation, with equipment and ammunition being delivered."
General Watt, content with the response, sat back down. This would continue as generals and high-ranking officers inquired and questioned until another general asked something significant.
General Amor De Rayes raised his question with a French accent, "Colonel Allard, isn't the UNSC currently committed to retaking the Lunar surface? Won't that stretch you too thin?"
The colonel nodded as he was about to answer the French general when the lights suddenly turned a blaring red. The generals and officers stood immediately, waiting in tense silence. The doors burst open, and a British officer shouted, "Generals, a one hundred thousand-strong Beta Corps has just been detected by our satellites and UNSC Zuoriel, their point of destination was unknown however they are heading here!"
Major Albert D. Pine turned to Morse, who spoke with slight disbelief, "Looks like the shit just hit the fan."
Colonel Allard added almost amusedly, "Remember that grunt thing I told you about? Now imagine those grunts the size of an M313 Heavy Recovery Vehicle along with their ungodly and ugly numbers."
Morse looked over at the general before adding, "Surprisingly, they were way more civil here than the first one, don't you agree, Colonel?" Colonel Allard only huffed, surprised himself.
The generals within the room stiffened as they began to file out, and organized chaos ensued at the European Command Centers alongside the UNSC.

Two words: DNI Scorpion.
DNI, stand for Direct Neural Interface basically allow complicated control of heavy UNSC vehicles can be operated with a single pilot or driver.
Scorpion Tank can be Operate by a single DNI driver or a Spartan. And they have more than basic Variant. M808B2 M808B3 can be deploy to counter Tank Wave tactics.
B2 use 40mm AA round, design to shred Longsword Armor, so they are VERY effective against BETA Wave. Meanwhile, B3 asked how fast you want your rocket artillery velocity, and the answer is hit scan, sure, they doesn't as effective against shield, but that's the point, you can use it as direct AT Missile storm, or saturated an area too fast for BETA to meaningfully shot all of them down before relocate, fire and repeat.
Besides, B3 variant don't find much love against Covenant, but at least here, they can find use as Direct attack and mobile Rocket Artillery role fitting mission parameters.
Oh, and focus more on Rocket Hog and Gauss Hog. They can kite and rear thrust Tank class BETA while running faster than them in most terrain, provided the Driver don't got stuck somewhere while driving with their gunner first.
And Standardized Hog Strike team with each carry SPNK besides their MA or Magnum.
And thc 4 the chap.
AN: I Just Realize I entirely forgot about DNI, as for suggestions I shall take them all in greater strides for the european front their will be lacking of longswords as most of their support would be relient on orbital scene the bulk of UNSC ground forces are in the east.
Qrious writ3r
I mean, proportionally speaking, the Human-BETA war was more deadlier than the Human-Covenant War in terms of percentage of human casualties but the Human-Covenant war far outscales the former in terms of, well, practically everything.
AN: Thanks for the reply Qrious writ3r your correct in that if we remove the scale then one could see that both are nearly Identical, just that the latter was facing a Finatical Zealots
Draft
Major Albert D. Pine Arrives at the European Headquarters in the UK there he gets to talk to the european supreme commander General Eldric Reino Steinman they talk about UNSC forces their to support them and the EU own forces both sides would talk about this before plans are drawn up dates will be signed on as a plan of action is thought about.
