"Thank you Kurama for everything ya know." a 19 year old Naruto said smiling in sadness holding his ever silent twin 2 year olds Himawari and Boruto who had not said anything from their mother's passing.
The ever strong, always happy upright young man not having it in him to even fake his expression even a bit.
It was just him, the twins and Kurama along with the other tailed beast who having dispersed when the sealing matrix was done their wisdom and knowledge not needed any more leaving the two for there parting.
It had come like Heavens punishment sparing no one, even now the disease wrecked havoc upon his body. Him using the bare amounts of chakra to protect himself instead using most to completely shield his children from the effects .
Sasuke having just parted weeks ago barely able to help Naruto and Kuruma finish the seal.
Kurama looked down at the brat no, his brother feeling pain at seeing his deep weary face looking as if he gave up on the world.
"No need for thanks among family Naruto i know you would have done the same for me if the situation was reversed and why are you looking so down? Once were all finished recovering our chakra we'll be following so stop acting like this will be the last time were seeing each other" Kurama said trying to bring light to the situation.
When Naruto lips twitched he knew he succeeded.
"Now get into the middle we shouldn't waste anymore time ." Kurama said not being one for the sappy talk.
Naruto nodded slowly dragging his feet towards the seal telling his kids to wave bye at Uncle Kurama.
Kurama looking at them activated the seal before telling Naruto " Now listen here Naruto, I know you lost nearly everything important to you and I know you feel like you want to die but don't forget you have 2 brats who need you right now! They have no one in this world to count on so just for a little while do what you do best endure! Make a proper life for them, for yourself , be happy for them. Even if you can't try your hardest, fake it if you need but dont let them down ok!" getting emotional at the end
"Eat well, make new friends maybe even a new family. Don't feel afraid to make new connections and dont dwell on what once was and how it ended. Just remember the good times we had and how fulfilling it was and Naruto know I love you and I wish you and your brats well on your next great journey" Kurama said his voice finally fading away having given his entire life to make sure the safety of this portal
Naruto in silence with a bowed head simply cried tears he didnt even know he still had only finding comfort from the children in his arms who patted their father seeing him sad.
As the portal finally took them away he could only sob out "Thank you Brother" before being whisked away forever parting with his homeworld.
Naruto corntorting his body into a ball covering his children with his body and chakra as he shielded them from the stray bolts of energy that tried to harm them.
Doing so for hours he only stopped when he felt no more pain his clothes having been ripped checking his kids making sure they were okay.
Seeing they were ok, he got up observing his surroundings.
'A temple, a rather large one at that as well ' he said looking at the uniquely built structure before checking the signs of the disease seeing no signs of it.
" So Sakura was right " he said smiling like he hadn't in a long time feeling relieved dropping his chakra from his kids happy when he saw no signs coming onto them.
He felt Boruto tugging on his clothes and he already knew he was hungry. Channeling chakra to his seal he took out some supplies feeling a bit restrained for some reason.
Giving them some food whilst keeping a eye on them to make sure they didnt make a mess Naruto sat to get a picture of the situation.
Channeling his chakra to make a clone Naruto frowned when nothing happened now using hand seals to intiate the jutsu. Weirded out he got up before trying to make a tiny rasengan frowning when not a single bit of chakra formed.
Sitting down he channeled sage chakra getting success when he entered sage mode before he sensed something weird inside his body. Getting a feel for it he nearly jumped when a boulder flew up before gently being set down.
'Now this is really weird' he thought
'I can't channel my chakra outwards but i can still do so inwards?' he said when he realized his body was still enhanced with chakra.
'On top of that i have some weird nature connected powers now?' he said when he now knew what he was sensing making the comparison from his many affinties innately sensing the power and accurately describing it.
' Water, Earth ,Fire Wind and this feels a bit like Old Man Hashirama's Wood Style?!' he said getting up prodding the strange energy seeing a tree sprout up out of the ground to the amusement of the toddlers who were now clapping happily.
"I need time to process this" he said cleaning up after the two before picking them up heading to the temple.
Looking up at the noise his eyes buldged when he saw something flying in the sky.
"Is that a flying bison!!" he said astonished.
'What a weird world' he thought having reached the temple. Looking around at the squirel like creatures he stepped into the temple deciding to think upon it another time.
Having already felt no one was here for miles he made himself home unsealing a tent and other supplies fixing them up before checking Boruto and Himawari any accidents.
Satisfied he was prepared for the night he picked up two toddlers putting them in new front carrier straps before exploring the temple using sage mode to warn of dangers and tapping into the fire nature he now had lighting a way foward with his other hand gently tapping away the curious hands.
"Lets go check our new home kids" he said happily getting a giggle out of the two.
After exploring for quite some time he reached a library covered in dust. Stepping back and channeling the wind nature he pushed foward gently sending a breeze inside accumulating the dust before sending it out of a window destroying the decayed piece.
Scratching his head at the tykes who clapped at the display, he entered, looking awed at the sheer amount of information. Letting down the 2 kids to explore a bit, he took a random scroll.
Opening it, he saw it was a map looking at it he sealed it away for later to get a general idea of where he was. Of course, he would take it with a grain of salt since this place was obviously abandoned for years.
Looking for the kids, he saw them each tugging a scroll between themselves in a make shift game of tug of war. Taking the scroll, not minding the grumbles he read it seeing it was a scroll for a technique of a sort illustrating a martial art.
"Air Bending Technique Flight Theory by Master Guru Laghima" Naruto continued reading feeling intrigued and enlightened.
Is this what this power was called in this place? Bending? He continued reading the entire scroll before putting it down, not at all interested in the liberation the technique called for.
Picking up the kids and taking the random 3 scrolls he saw with the label history on them, he picked up his kids before leaving the library.
Right after he left the door, he stopped putting his hands into a plus sign molding his chakra. Pushing beyond the limit, he cared not for what seemed impossible. Ignoring the strain, he molded harder, closing his eyes hard, finally seeing a result as his chakra detached itself from him finally making a single clone.
Naruto breathed out a sigh in relief, not really tired but at the mental strain it took.
Looking at the clone, he nodded to it as he left letting the clone finish exploring the library.
Going to the camp Naruto saw the sky dimming. Deciding it was time for the kids ti go to sleep he looked at them and asked
"Are you two hungry" getting 2 negative shakes of the head.
Sitting down and unsealing a camping bag he got into it pulling the two along inside as he closed the tent.
Pulling out the scrolls as they went to sleep he read the first.
'Avatar? War? Fire Nation?' Naruto thought a bit nervous not for him but for his kids.
'I hope this conflict is over, i can't be dragged into this with these two with me.' he thought grim faced
'And it seems bending more than one element isn't rare but unheard for more than one person to do at a time...Great just great'
Sealing away the scrolls in no more mood to read Naruto adjusted a bit to get comfortable. Making the mistake of idly looking to his empty side Naruto felt a deep thud settle in his heart closing his eyes trying to ignore the quickly creeping feeling of loneliness and depression that descended now that he was alone .
Breathing in deeply trying to ignore the tightening in his throat , the feeling didn't leave but gained intensity. He wanted to move but couldn't remembering his kids were asleep on his chest.
Looking straight up he already knew he wouldnt be getting much sleep tonight.
When both kids woke up Naruto got up as well getting about 2 hours of sleep. Letting them toddle behind him Naruto got to making some breakfast putting the pots on the portable stove.
Bringing the kids with him, Naruto found a suitable spot before kicking lightly on the floor, opening a good pool sized hole before drawing water from the atmosphere, putting it inside the hole. Then heating it up with fire . Feeling the temperature, Naruto stripped the two down, washing and drying them before getting another change of clothing.

Bringing them back, he took the food of the stove before gently blowing out, enhancing it with bending to quickly cool it before giving each their share.
Done with that, Naruto looked to the side, nodding at his clone to dispel.
Naruto sifted through the information trying to find something that wasn't to old to be used or a technique.
Not being able to make head or tail of any of the information he couldn't come to a decision whether to leave this place or stay.
Deciding a training session would clear his mind he created another clone it being a tad bit easier this time sending it to watch the kids before Naruto moved away to make sure they weren't caught in the cross fire.
Starting off, Naruto manipulated the trees, making them bloom early.
Focusing, he was able to make an entire tree purely out of this new power as he grew an apple tree with little effort. Going a step further, he matured the tree until it reached bearing age.
Picking an apple off it, he nodded at the taste before spitting out the seeds, then growing them.
'That's so much easier,' he thought when the trees sprouted far faster than their predecessor.
Done testing that Naruto stomped, punting all trees around him upwards . Throwing a blast of wind he slowed their descent. Pulling water out of the tree he hovered it over his head sending a ring of fire all around easily catching them on fire.
Immediately he let down the water dousing it. Nodding to himself Naruto went back to the camp, pulling water from the atmosphere making 2 kid sized bubbles reminiscent of one of Saiken's signature jutsu.
Reaching camp he gave the clone his scroll map before giving his kids the bubbles ignoring the squeals as he picked them up and put them in the carrier.
Walking a moderate speed Naruto searched looking for the bison he saw yesterday seeing a pack of them.
Standing a bit away he obsereved them as the animals quickly got the kids attention as they dropped the bubbles.
The bisons looking toward the noise slowly aproached them a rather large one licking Naruto 2 smaller ones attention being taken by the kids.
Naruto smilling at the friendly animals fighting off the tounge took 3 seeds out throwing them far away before growing 3 adult apple trees before gesturing towards it.
The bisons who were confused at the newly grown tree could only guess that this human made it as they went to it to eat.
Naruto who sat down resting his kids in his lap watching saw the largest of the herd approaching him inclining its head to him.
Naruto raising a eye in confusion got up patting saying "Are you itching? " before being thrown up on it's back a unexpected display of airbending before it took off into the sky.
Naruto already used to flying simply held on as the bison flew around the area before landing again 5 minutes later .
Patting it Naruto quickly ran to his kids who tried climbing onto the bison saying "No your far to young for that!" Getting sad screams of "No daddy!" as they threw tantrums.
'You say nothing for so long but this is what breaks you huh?' He thought chuckling before going to the bison that carried him before saying "Think you can take me for a spin again big guy?"
As it lowered it head Naruto got on his kids in his death gripped as the cheered getting the bison. Naruto employing the use of chakra sticking to the bison like a tick before saying " Lets go Big guy"
As they soared Naruto ignored the babbles he heard looking down able to take in the temple better now.
Looking around at the mountains at the height they were at he thought 'It seems the only people they wanted to have easy access here was either airbenders or those with bison.'
Guiding the bison around he saw the heard following to the side.
Looking around deciding he had enough at the beautiful display he patted the bison in a effort to get it down, it understanding his intention as it did so.
'So this is our transportation for now. While I would like to stay here forever this isn't a good environment for a kid at all.' He thought to hinself looking down
'Not only that being out of touch with what is happening in the world isn't good at all either. Who knows who could arrive here without my notice.'
Getting down he looked towards the clone about to discuss the plans for there next destination.
2 months Later Naruto was packing getting ready for his family's next stop hopefully to find a village.
Having read a bit more of this world he decided to adapt using mainly water and wood as his bending cover. Having read about swamp benders he was sure it wouldn't raise many eyebrows.
His twins had turned 3 now and were running around like the little terrors they were.
'I wonder who they got that from " He chuckled as he loaded his produce onto the bison herd having gained there trust.
He had grown these knowing he would need to make some kind of money and not live totally off the land.
'Hopefully bartering these can gain us entrance to a village of a sort ' he thought in worry.
"Lets go kids" Naruto said as he finished with the saddle picking them up jumping on top of the bison before patting him to leave.
As they did so Naruto used the map to navigate a way foward. Idily answering the curious 3 year olds as they pointed at everything asking, "Whats that?".
Hours passed before he finally saw land.
Directing the bison to the land he dismounted unlatching the boxes of fruits from them opening one allowing them to eat it as he went to the kids to make their lunch.
After a day of rest and refilling the consumed box Naruto finally saw civilization landing before the gates of the devoloped land leaving the kids with the bison incase things got heated.
Aproaching the gates ignoring the star struck eyes of those who saw the bison heard he asked the guard if he could be allowed entry.
Stammering the guard said " 50 yuans for entry of vistors respected sir"
Naruto scratching his head went to untie a box picking it up before resting it down with a big thump infront of the all the disbelieving witness opening it asking hopefully " I have no money but i hope we can use this to barter?"
The guard looked at it after getting out of his stupor at the super human feat of strength before exclaiming at what he saw " Fresh Lychee nuts! But how they're not in season!"
Naruto scratched his head before reiterating his question.
The guard looking at the fruits, then to the bison, then to the unique looking man said "Let me call the captain he can decide what to do"
Naruto nodded watching the man use what he recognized as a radio reporting the situation as he covered it moving back to the bison when he realized there was no reason to worry.
By the time he returned with his kids the captain was here.
"Young man you wish to sell these fruits to gain access to the town? Do you have any more you wish to sell?" he said a bit eagerly knowing a needy noble who needed foreign delicacies for the event he was hosting.
Naruto nodded gesturing for the bison to come foward . Unhoisting the boxes he opened them to show more lychees and moon peaches.
Looking at the amount and the bison with wide eyes he told Naruto " Well sir I can arrange a hotel for you with this and bring back your profit from these. Of course that means you can enter."
Naruto smiled at that nodding to the bison pack for them to follow him getting deep curious and wonder filled eyes as he passed by most on the bison and some on him for his weird clothing and exotic looks.
Naruto was lead to the hotel as a worker shakily took the bison to the stables in terror. Eyes widening at the size of the hotel before being ushered in with his kids.
"Name sir?" Said the receptionist a bit attracted to the man but still professional .
"Uzumaki Naruto" Naruto said,
Pausing in her writing for a bit before continuing she thought 'A noble?'
"Here you go sir room 77" she said handing him the keys .
"Please enjoy your stay at Yu Dao's finest Hotel The Jade Resort!" she said bowing at his leaving
Naruto walked getting more and more confused before being realising his room was on the second top floor.
'Were the fruits really that important?' Naruto thought.
Shaking off the thought he sighed in happiness before letting the kids down who were previously quite knowing they shouldnt interrupt their father.
Watching as they rolled in the fluffy bed Naruto perked up at the door knocking answering it to see the guard captain.
Holding out the suitcase of yuans the man said" Here you go respected sir the balance to your sale."
Naruto accepted nodding in thanks before closing the door telling his name to him after he asked for it.
Placing the bag down Naruto got into bed with a sigh at the softness bringing down the kids to sleep with him

Waking up Naruto's first order of buisness was to get a lay of the land.
Washing up and having breakfast he took the kids to get new outfits befitting the world not wanting them to feel abnormal.
Before that he went to a library to get a idea on how the currency was valued and the updated history.
Walking in he saw a man sitting at the front behind a desk. Adressing him Naruto said " Can you point me to the books pertaining history and currency please?"
The man not looking up pointed towards 2 directions not paying him any mind.
"Thank you" Naruto said heading straight towards the 1 section. Seeing that it was money Naruto checked the titles before seeing ' The Background of Republic's City Yuan'
Taking it and scanning quickly he found what he needed now able to identify the different bills. 'Republic City the hotspot of the world huh? Sounds like a fun place' Naruto thought putting it down he brought the kids to the next section quickly feeling they were getting ansty not doing anything.
Picking up two books 'The End Of The Great War' and 'The Rise of Republic City' he went to the counter to check them out paying the fee before leaving.
Asking around, he found a clothing shop for children. As soon as he entered, he bombarded by a rather petite lady asking if he needed help.
Nodding putting down the kids he asked " Can you help me get some clothing sets for them? Going out, casual and night wear please."
The woman Ting Lee nodded in excitement money signs in her eyes as she thought of the commission.
Latching onto his arm she brought the family around the entire shop throughly exhausting Naruto before he left his hands full of bags.
Going into a secluded place he sealed them away before going to do his own shopping.
Coming out he went back to the hotel thoroughly tired at the chore idily checking in on the bison.
Seeing they were fine and well taken care he left to his room to change him and the kids clothes.
Sitting on the bed he read the books making a clone to read the other.
Closing it he took a sigh relieved that the war was over and a bit sad at hearing the genocide of the Airbending nomads.
Dispelling his clone he sifted through the knowledge he gained on Republic City.
' I think it would be a good place to start making a home' he thought hearing about the booming epic center of the world.
'Not only that these 2 need to get in school to learn, I can't have them falling behind or being put into a disadvantage when they grow up' he thought.
Making his decision Naruto went to bed turning off the lights.
I have no idea what I was thinking making this. Don't know if I'll continue it, but wow, 4k words took a lot out of me.
Trying to practice making longer chapters but this incoherent mess kicked my ass.
Not only that I'm using memories from a show I only watched a bit of, using wiki for everything else.
And I tried to avoid making Ocs like the gahd damn bubonic plague.
