The first light of dawn gently pushed the shadows from the land away, warming the blossoming city of Jin Cheng in a warm hue. A rooster in the distance could be heard, declaring the start of a new day.

Birds chirped outside Brian's room in the garden, their melodies giving a feel of tranquility in this early morning. The sun cast its long reach through the silk curtains, providing a warm, dampened light within his room.

Brian slowly awoke, his eyes trying to adjust to the switch between dream and real life. Seeing his wife still sleeping on his right, he thought he was still dreaming.

When he met her more than a year ago, she looked cute but childish. Her short hair and warrior's gaze were well-fitting with her character in the game. Now, her hair was growing longer, and her face, although beautiful and cute, began to look more mature with each passing day. You would make an excellent mother, Brian thought as he caressed her face.

Even in her sleep, Shangxiang appreciated his touch as her head moved towards his hand and she let out a soft sound of satisfaction. Her cheek felt soft and warm.

The blankets barely reached her shoulder, revealing her beautiful collarbone. Brian had to resist the urge to explore that beautiful temptation.

Without waking her up, he stepped out of bed, picked one of his hanfus, and opened the door to his living room.

The headmaid, Mu Ta, an older woman who had served Brian since the beginning of his isekai life, awaited at the door. "Morning, my lord," she greeted with a bow, her voice soft and gentle. Brian closed the door behind him so as to not disturb his wife's sleep. "Morning, Mu Ta. Thank you for your soft approach. I do not wish to disturb her sleep."

He shifted to the next topic. "Could you prepare breakfast for us? I prefer the tea I bought yesterday. I am curious about Li Mei's development of tea flavors."

"Of course, my lord," she responded.

Mu Ta bowed again and departed to carry out his request.

Brian knew the maidens took their time to make the breakfast as exquisite as ever. They were thankful for the hope and peace he had brought to his town and the land, and they served him as such.

He couldn't really care about that exquisiteness, as he had lost the need for food outside of battle. It was one of the perks or one of the downsides of his sudden adventure to this world.

Those thoughts continued to roam as he stepped out of his house and entered his rear garden. When he went away on his latest campaign, the townspeople had upgraded his house to the fullest of their capabilities. Rooms in plenty with various luxuries had been made, all according to Delan's guidance. His advisor had learned of his taste quite quickly.

He sat on the wooden elevation of his house, observing the little sparrows in the blossom tree. Just for a moment, Brian allowed himself inner peace. The soft taps of an approaching figure awoke him from that moment of absolute emptiness. Two arms slowly enveloped him from behind. "Morning, darling," Sun Shangxiang spoke softly and with love.

"Morning, my love," he responded gently. Her warm embrace calmed his mind even further. She let go and sat beside him, keeping her eyes on the little sparrows. "Did they share something nice with you?" she joked.

"Not much," Brian answered as he continued to observe the active birds. "They are probably complaining the tree is not big enough," he joked back.

"I think it is perfect," Shangxiang commented. Her stomach grumbled a bit, to her embarrassment.

"Don't worry. I asked Mu Ta to make something delicious. By now, she knows your taste well," Brian reassured. "Although I wonder if you would like the tea."

"Did you buy another tea flavor? We haven't even finished the previous ones yet," Shangxiang remarked, her tone playful.

"I can't help it. They all smell so nice," Brian admitted, pulling his wife a bit closer. She smiled and laid her head on his shoulder.

Shangxiang was content for that moment. The chirping of the sparrows in the background, a big colorful blossom tree right in front of them. She could see herself having a family here. How many children she wanted she did not know yet, but definitely one. She did not care if it was a boy or a girl, as long as it was healthy.

She hadn't talked about that with her husband though, so after a brief silence, she asked, "I was thinking, we have been talking about starting a family, but you haven't said if you wanted a boy or a girl."

Brian smiled, gently stroking her hair. "Honestly, I've never really thought about it that way. A boy or a girl, it doesn't matter to me as long as they're healthy and happy. What matters most is that we raise them with love and teach them to be good people."

Shangxiang lifted her head to look at him, her eyes filled with warmth. "I feel the same way. As long as our child is healthy and happy, that's all that matters. But I can't help but imagine how wonderful it would be to see a little one running around here, playing in the garden."

Brian chuckled softly. "Yes, I can see it too. This place, our home, it's perfect for a family. And I know you'll be an amazing mother."

"And you'll be an amazing father," Shangxiang replied, leaning in for a tender kiss.

A cough was heard before the couple turned around. It was the headmaid, Mu Ta, who was blushing a bit with a smile as she bowed and announced, "Breakfast is served. Please follow me."

Both Brian and Shangxiang had turned red as they stood up, still holding hands. Despite the embarrassment of that moment, Shangxiang felt happy, and for the rest of that beautiful morning, she wore a blessed and most beautiful smile.

Brian stepped out of his home, walking over the stone paths of the ever-developing city, Jin Cheng. The city was wide awake and bustling with activity. Guards patrolled the streets with a well-practiced pace, and people wandered through the various streets, enjoying their day. The carriages allowed in were those for shop deliveries; the rest had to settle at the walls, making the plaza and streets safer for pedestrians.

Sun Shangxiang needed a bit longer to get herself ready. She had an appointment with Liu Mei, the owner of the clothing branch Dynastic Elegance, later that day. Liu Mei's shops had brought a high demand for talented tailors and weavers. She almost had a monopoly in the city.

Brian didn't mind, as long as her prices were fair and she didn't hinder any new businesses from starting in his city. These rules were fair, and Liu Mei had quickly agreed to the terms of service Brian had given when she settled here.

Brian ventured into the city for a different reason. He hadn't seen his city in a while, and there was plenty he still had to investigate. He started with the stables, which had begun to look like a menagerie as time passed. When he started his adventure, there were only horses, mainly walnut and mahogany-colored ones.

As Brian approached the stables, he noticed Azeil, his loyal tiger, running happily in his enclosure alongside a new companion. The new tiger, named Kato, had quickly adjusted to his new surroundings and his new master.

Stepping inside the enclosure, both tigers bounded toward him, their powerful strides more reminiscent of eager dogs who had missed their owner than the fierce beasts they appeared to be. Their eyes sparkled with excitement and affection.

Brian laughed, crouching down to greet them. "Good morning, Azeil, Kato," he said, reaching out to pat their heads. Azeil nuzzled against his hand while Kato purred deeply, clearly pleased to see him.

The stable master approached with a smile. "They look as lively as ever when they are with you, my lord."

"They do, Master Na Jo," Brian responded as he stood up, sent both cats away, and stepped out of the enclosure. "How is Kato adjusting to his new home?"

"As you can see, wonderfully," Na Jo answered with a grin. "He did not have any trouble adjusting at all."

"Glad to hear that," Brian commented as he stepped towards the next enclosure, the pasturage. Aside from the mahogany and walnut horses, his pasturage was expanded with birch, chestnut, and maple horses. Among all those horses, three stood out nevertheless. A white horse as gentle as the moonlight on a cloudless night, a black horse as loyal as a samurai, and a red horse towering far above the common horses, its body a bulk of muscles. They were called Hex Mark, Shadow Runner, and Red Hare respectively.

"How is Red Hare integrating into his new pasture?" Brian asked as he kept his eyes on the red beast. It was the only new addition he had not yet tamed.

Na Jo nodded, following Brian's gaze. "Hex Mark and Shadow Runner are as reliable as ever, my lord. Red Hare, however, is still a bit... spirited."

Brian chuckled, understanding the challenge that lay ahead. "Spirited, you say? I suppose taming such a magnificent beast will take time and patience."

"I would love to see you try," a deep, strong voice commented. Brian did not have to guess who it was. He had heard that voice a thousand times, as he had played the character a thousand times.

Even without his halberd or black armor, Lu Bu radiated a pressure worthy of his nickname. His dark eyes bore into Brian. "Red Hare is a beast among horses. There is none as strong, as fast, and as stubborn as him," Lu Bu commented proudly. "I do not doubt that you can tame him. But be warned, he will not provide you with an easy challenge." Lu Bu smirked.

"That warning is appreciated, Lu Bu," Brian acknowledged, sending one last gaze towards the mighty beast. Brian remembered how long it took for Shadow Runner to allow him to ride. The only difference in this taming process would be that Red Hare was willing to kill him. At least, that was what he assumed as his gaze was returned by the mighty beast. "I will have to make time to tame him personally."

"Please notify me when you do. I would love to see your progress," Lu Bu laughed as he left. Despite the harsh words, Brian felt no hostility from the Beast of Chaos. Is he actually worried about me? he wondered but did not voice aloud.

Na Jo, feeling the pressure fading from the departure of Lu Bu, let out a sigh and continued, "I will make arrangements for practice. Please inform me when you desire your training session, my lord."

"I will, Master Na Jo. Now, let us focus on the rest of this menagerie," Brian commanded.

"Yes, my lord," Na Jo acknowledged, continuing to walk alongside his lord.

They arrived at the next enclosure, an open area where the falcons resided when they were not flying elsewhere in the city. They were in their enclosure now, and Brian heard several of his birds of prey shrill. With a whistle, the shrill stopped, and two birds landed on Brian's outstretched arms.

Brian could not get enough of his birds. Ranger had been with him since his second campaign, and Zephyr was found by one of his soldiers who was sent to patrol one of the roads leading to Bao Han.

Brian gazed at Na Jo, his eyes speaking a question he did not have to repeat. "Zephyr is doing great, my lord. He and Ranger are helping in the pest control of the city, and they sometimes help the fishermen find good locations to fish."

"Very good. Please tell me you haven't fed Ranger any more than necessary. He is starting to get fat," Brian joked. The falcon shrilled at him, showing he did not agree with that statement. "Ah, shut it. You know you eat too much." The falcon looked almost offended but defeated by the truth as well.

Na Jo chuckled. "I assure you, my lord, Ranger's diet is strictly controlled. He's just very enthusiastic about his work."

Brian sighed. "I guess that's true." He whistled again, indicating they could roam around freely once again.

Brian and Na Jo made it to the second-last enclosure. It was the newest addition and had yet to be perfected. It was sufficient for its inhabitants, although Brian knew he required more for them to feel at ease. After all, wolves lived in packs.

With a simple whistle, two gray wolves sprinted towards him. They were lean and agile, their fur blending seamlessly with the shadows. Brian knelt down, allowing the wolves to nuzzle against him.

"These are our latest arrivals, my lord," Na Jo explained. "They've adjusted well, but they still need more space and perhaps a few more companions to feel truly at home."

Brian nodded, stroking the wolves' fur. "I agree. We'll expand their enclosure and ensure they have what they need. They're impressive creatures and deserve the best care we can provide."

Na Jo smiled. "I'll start making the arrangements right away, my lord."

Brian watched the wolves for a moment longer, appreciating their beauty and strength. "Thank you, Na Jo. Let's continue our inspection."

Lastly, another beast that joined the menagerie during the latest campaign. A mighty beast, probably one of his strongest so far. The enclosure was probably one of the largest, and consisted of a lot of nature. Stones in the plenty, a pond big enough to swim in and plenty of trees. In other words, a perfect enclosure for Bruno the bear.

Brian did not have to whistle for the big teddy bear to come. As soon as he approached the enclosure, Bruno lumbered towards him with a mixture of power and gentleness that belied his size. The bear's fur was thick and glossy, evidence of his good health and the care he received.

"Bruno, my friend," Brian greeted, extending a hand. Bruno sniffed it before nuzzling into Brian's palm, a deep rumble of contentment emanating from his chest.

"He's been thriving here, my lord," Na Jo said, watching the interaction with a smile. "Bruno's presence has been quite the attraction for the townspeople as well. They admire him greatly."

Brian chuckled, scratching behind Bruno's ears. "I can see why. He's a magnificent creature. Make sure his enclosure remains as natural and spacious as possible. He deserves the best."

"Of course, my lord. We'll continue to ensure his comfort and well-being," Na Jo replied.

Brian spent a few more moments with Bruno, enjoying the bear's peaceful company before stepping back. "Thank you, Na Jo. The menagerie is in excellent condition, thanks to your hard work."

"It is my honor, my lord," Na Jo responded with a respectful bow.

With his stables explored, Brian continued his check-up on the next facility: the farmlands. The eastern unused lands he once explored had transformed into lively farmland. The morning glow cast the lands in a beautiful light. A morning dew hung over the land, giving the farmland a mysterious vibe.

Cattle and sheep grazed in their pasture, and Brian noticed some of the goats climbing the goat towers. In the chicken den, the domesticated birds were desperately searching the ground for worms. I guess it is feeding time any second now, Brian deduced. Just as he was thinking that, he heard two familiar voices appearing from behind him.

"Are you sure we need this much, Xu Zhu? You might be feeding these beasts too much," Dian Wei worried, holding a big bucket of water in his hand and a small hay bale on his shoulder.

"We should feed these beasts well. The better we feed them, the more they return," Xu Zhu responded proudly in his typical demeanor. For a man sounding like a big oaf, he was surprisingly thoughtful. As the duo of bodyguards got closer, they finally noticed their lord. "Lord Brian! Sorry, I didn't see you. What are you doing here?" Dian Wei looked a bit flustered as he wasn't sure how to respond.

Brian smiled as he commanded, "At ease, Dian Wei. I am just checking the progress of the farms. Are you about to feed the animals?" he asked.

"Yes, my lord," Dian Wei replied, relaxing slightly. "We're making sure they get their morning feed. The cattle and goats need to be well-fed to stay healthy and productive."

Xu Zhu nodded enthusiastically. "That's right, my lord. The better we take care of them, the more they give back to us."

Brian stepped forward as he commanded, "Hand me some of that hay. I will help you out."

"But my lord, you shouldn't. You shouldn't dirty yourself with this kind of work," Dian Wei worried.

Brian smiled as he responded, "Do I look like a man who minds getting his hands dirty? You should know me better by now, Dian Wei."

Dian Wei looked momentarily perplexed before he grinned, closed his eyes, and responded, "I've seen many fighters, but you are really the toughest fighter out there. You're as tough as they come. Your willingness to work alongside us shows why we can end this chaos together."

Your bond with Dian Wei is maxed. Dian Wei has learned support skill- Rouse Protect.

Brian laughed, taking the hay from Dian Wei as he ignored the subtle in-game message. "Thank you, Dian Wei. I believe in leading by example. If we are to build a strong and unified land, we must all be willing to do our part, no matter how small."

Xu Zhu handed Brian another bundle of hay, his face beaming with admiration. "It's an honor to work with you, my lord. You always help us out. But you get tired if you work all the time. Maybe you should relax sometimes, yeah?"

Your bond with Xu Zhu has strengthened.

Brian smiled at Xu Zhu's genuine concern. "Thank you, Xu Zhu. I appreciate your worry, and you're right. It's important to find time to relax. But right now, I find joy in working alongside all of you. It keeps me grounded and reminds me of what we're building together."

Xu Zhu nodded, a thoughtful look on his face. "Yeah, you're a real good leader, my lord. We all look up to you. Not just 'cause you're strong, but 'cause you care about us."

Brian placed a reassuring hand on Xu Zhu's shoulder. "And I will continue to care for all of you. Together, we will make this land prosper."

The stock-breeding was only a section of the farmlands. Aside from the pigs, which he had not spotted earlier, the rest of the grounds were used for fruit and agriculture.

Apples and pears hung high in the trees, their colors shifting from a dark red to a grass green. Brian picked a red apple from the tree, a satisfying smile visible on his face. The plans he had for the town since the start of his adventure were finally showing results. As he took a bite, he heard a familiar voice once again.

"Hey, you there! What do you think... Oh, Lord Brian! I didn't know it was you." Jiang Wei apologized almost immediately.

"Don't worry about it. You are right. Even if I am the lord, I should not take one without asking permission," Brian acknowledged.

Jiang Wei looked relieved and then smiled. "Spending all this time with you has allowed me to grow a lot. Wait, I should repay you with work rather than words. Tell me what I can do!"

Your bond with Jiang Wei is maxed. Jiang Wei has learned the support skill- Rouse Assault.

Brian chuckled, appreciating the sincerity in Jiang Wei's words. "Thank you, Jiang Wei. Your dedication is more than enough. But if you insist, how about assisting the farmers in gathering the ripe fruits? There's plenty to do, and your help would be invaluable."

Jiang Wei's face lit up with enthusiasm. "Absolutely, my lord! I'll gather the others to help. We'll make sure today's harvest is bountiful."

As Jiang Wei rushed off to gather more hands for the harvest, Brian continued to walk through the orchards, taking in the sight of the thriving fruit trees. The orchards were a testament to the hard work and dedication of his people, and the fruits of their labor were literally hanging from the branches.

He took another bite of the apple, savoring its sweetness, and felt a deep sense of satisfaction. The city of Jin Cheng was not just surviving but flourishing, and it was moments like these that reminded him of the importance of his mission.

Before long, Jiang Wei returned with a group of eager farmers, all ready to start the day's work. "We're ready, my lord. Let's get to it!"

Brian nodded approvingly. "Excellent. I'll leave it in your capable hands, Jiang Wei. Keep up the good work."

Two-thirds of the farmlands had been checked, but the agriculture of crops had not been inspected yet. Thus, Brian made his way to the agricultural lands to see the progress of his grand plan for a self-sustainable city.

As he walked towards the working fields, he heard and saw another well-known officer ordering the farmers in the field. "Get moving! We need that water to be able to flow to every part of this land!"

"Yes, Master Dun!" The farmers, or soldiers if Brian had to guess, continued to dig pathways towards and from the canal. It seems he is working on irrigation. I might have to look into the canal closures and dikes to make certain they are sufficient in case of heavy rainfall, Brian pondered as he continued to inspect the fields.

"Huh? Oh, good morning, Lord Brian! Are you doing your daily inspection again?" Xiahou Dun asked as Brian came closer.

"Just inspecting where improvements are needed, as usual. If I wish to realize my ambition, I have to strive for perfection," Brian answered.

Xiahou Dun nodded, his stern expression softening slightly. "I have learned one thing from this endless fighting; you are destined to be a hero of the land. It looks like my constant reprimands have paid off. Your talent has really come into its own."

Your bond with Xiahou Dun is maxed. Xiahou Dun has learned the support skill - Rouse Assault.

Brian smiled, appreciating the words of his loyal officer. "Thank you, Xiahou Dun. Your guidance and support have been invaluable. How is the irrigation project coming along?"

"We're making good progress," Xiahou Dun replied. "The soldiers are working hard to ensure the water reaches every part of the land. It's a crucial step in making our city self-sustainable."

Brian observed the trenches and channels being dug, noting the dedication and effort of the workers. "Excellent. Make sure the canals and dikes are strong enough to handle heavy rainfall. We don't want our hard work to be washed away."

Xiahou Dun nodded firmly. "Understood, my lord. We'll double-check all the structures to ensure they're up to the task."

Brian took another look at the fields, feeling a sense of pride in the progress they had made. "Keep up the good work, everyone. We're building something truly remarkable here."

The soldiers and farmers responded with renewed vigor, their spirits lifted by their lord's words. As Brian continued his inspection, he knew that with such dedicated and capable people by his side, his vision of a prosperous and self-sustaining city was well within reach.

After inspecting the farmlands, Brian continued his thorough exploration with a visit to the academy. As he stepped through the entrance, he immediately noticed several positive changes. The welcoming room was spacious, and directly opposite the door was a desk for a secretary. A young woman Brian did not recognize sat there, her eyes focused on the papers in front of her.

"Good morning, how may I help you?" she began, before looking up and realizing who was standing before her. "Ss...Sorry, my lord! I didn't see it was you," she immediately apologized.

"Do not apologize. You were neither insulting nor disrespectful," he reassured her with a kind smile.

The young secretary visibly relaxed and managed a small smile. "Thank you, my lord. Is there something specific you need assistance with today?"

Brian nodded, looking around the academy with interest. "I am here to see the progress of the academy and perhaps speak with some of the scholars and instructors. Can you guide me around, or call someone who can show me the way?" he asked.

"Of course, my lord," the secretary answered as she rang a bell. A moment later, a familiar voice echoed through the building. "Liang Xun, this better be urgent! I was in the middle of determining whether the lesson material sufficed," Sima Yi complained loudly.

His demeanor changed slightly when he saw Brian. "Lord Brian, what brings you here?"

"I was just checking on progress, Master Sima Yi," Brian answered, catching a glimpse of the bags under Sima Yi's eyes. "But before I start with that, when was the last time you took a break?"

"I shall admit, it has been a while. One talent after another keeps emerging from this place, and I can't help but stay behind!" Sima Yi commented proudly.

Brian chuckled, appreciating Sima Yi's dedication. "Your commitment is commendable, Sima Yi, but even the most brilliant minds need rest. Overworking yourself will only hinder your effectiveness."

Sima Yi sighed, a hint of a smile playing on his lips. "You are right, my lord. I shall take a short break once I finish today's tasks. Now, how may I assist you?"

Brian smiled, knowing he had made a small difference in ensuring Sima Yi's well-being. "Please, show me around the academy. I want to see the progress that has been made so far."

"Of course, my lord. Follow me," Sima Yi said, leading Brian through the academy. The first room they entered was where Hua Tuo was giving a lesson on human biology, focusing mainly on muscles, nerves, and bone tissue. Although there was a significant lack of understanding in this current time about the human body, the enthusiasm to learn was palpable in the room.

"I see Hua Tuo's class has expanded," Brian observed.

"It has indeed. I wouldn't be surprised if we have to split his class into two timeframes by the end of this year. I assume one of his prodigies will take over one of the classes by then," Sima Yi informed. "Let us continue."

Brian agreed, walking behind one of his best strategists. Sima Yi had proven himself worthy to be called a genius, and it was noticeable not only on the battlefield. He maneuvered without any problems through the labyrinth that was the academy. They arrived at the next room where Kong Rong was standing in front of the class.

"What is Master Kong Rong teaching these days?" Brian asked as he observed the lesson.

"Kong Rong is currently focusing on literature and the art of debate," Sima Yi replied. "He believes that developing strong rhetorical skills is essential for our scholars, especially those who may one day serve as diplomats or advisors."

Brian nodded in approval. "That is indeed important. The ability to communicate effectively can change the course of history."

They continued their tour to the next room, where Zhuge Liang's class was in session. The Sleeping Dragon was completely immersed in his teaching, sharing his vast knowledge of engineering with his students. He was explaining the principles behind some of his most ingenious inventions, including the juggernauts and the wooden oxen.

Brian watched with fascination as Zhuge Liang meticulously drew diagrams on the board, illustrating the mechanics behind these inventions. The students listened intently, their eyes wide with curiosity and admiration.

Zhuge Liang noticed Brian and Sima Yi at the door and paused his lecture. "Ah, Lord Brian, Master Sima Yi," he greeted with a respectful bow. "To what do I owe the pleasure of your visit?"

Brian stepped forward, a smile on his face. "We are touring the academy to observe the progress being made. I see you are sharing your invaluable knowledge with the next generation."

Zhuge Liang nodded, a modest smile on his lips. "It is my hope that these students will take this knowledge and build upon it, creating innovations that will benefit our land. The foundation of a strong kingdom lies in the education and ingenuity of its people."

Brian's smile broadened. "I couldn't agree more. Your teachings will undoubtedly pave the way for great advancements."

The students, sensing the significance of the moment, looked on with a mix of awe and respect. Zhuge Liang turned back to his class, his voice filled with passion. "Remember, the power of knowledge is boundless. With it, we can achieve wonders."

Brian gave an acknowledging nod towards the Sleeping Dragon before continuing the tour. Sima Yi led him further through the facility, where teachers he had yet to meet were teaching any who were willing to learn the basics of math, reading, and writing.

"Slowly but surely, we are getting there. A land where everyone is enlightened," Brian murmured.

"Indeed. I had my doubts it was possible at first, but you have proven me wrong. I do not mind being wrong if it is you," Sima Yi acknowledged with a grin.

Brian smiled but then turned serious, placing a hand on Sima Yi's shoulder. "Your dedication is commendable, Sima Yi, but it worries me to see you so worn out. We need you at your best, and that means taking care of yourself too."

Sima Yi opened his mouth to protest, but Brian interrupted gently. "As your lord, and as your friend, I command you to take a few days off. The weather has been lovely lately, so take the time to enjoy the sun and the facilities to your contentment."

Sima Yi looked defeated yet smiled as he responded, "Very well. I will finish this evening and then take a few days off. Don't go complaining to me when everything falls apart though," he remarked playfully.

Brian chuckled. "If push comes to shove, I will fill in for you."

Sima Yi laughed softly, appreciating the gesture. "Thank you, Brian. I suppose even I can admit when I need a break."

As Brian left the academy grounds, he felt the brewing afternoon sun bathing him in warm sunlight. It really is beautiful today, he thought as he decided to enjoy the weather a bit more. Arriving in the center of town, he concluded he was not the only person thinking that way.

The terrace of the teahouse was fully occupied, with visitors enjoying the sunlight. "Lord Brian, how may I help you?" Li Mei, the teahouse owner, asked.

"I was hoping to enjoy a good spot in the sun, but I can see business is booming as usual," he commented, a bit saddened.

Li Mei smiled as she came closer and whispered, "I reserved one place for you in one of our private rooms. It is out of sight of all the customers, but you can enjoy the sun in its fullest glory there."

"You know me all too well," Brian responded with a smile. "I'll gladly take that offer."

Li Mei acknowledged his approval with a gentle bow, gestured to one of the servants, and gave her instructions. Brian followed the young maiden and entered a large, tasteful room.

The room was adorned with elegant furnishings and opened onto a small private garden that was bathed in sunlight. A comfortable chair and table were set up, ready for him to relax and enjoy his tea. An unexpected guest had already taken a seat at the table, her deep-brown eyes gazing at him.

"One tropical tea. I would say mango is a sublime choice," Zhang Chunhua ordered before the servant could even ask the question.

Brian showed a soft smile, slightly terrified by the accuracy of her choice. The servant simply bowed and left the room, leaving Brian and Zhang Chunhua to themselves.

''I certainly wasn't expecting this,'' Brian commented with a cautious smile, settling himself on the reserved chair. The sunlight basked him in warmth.

"You should know by now that I enjoy surprising you, my lord. Besides, it is rare for us to find a quiet moment like this," Zhang Chunhua said, returning his smile with a mischievous glint in her eyes.

Brian nodded, appreciating her presence, although still a bit on his guard. She was his concubine, and she loved him, no question there. Yet, he could not read her, and if he dropped his guard just a bit, she would devour him. "True. These moments are indeed rare. How have you been, Chunhua?"

"Busy, as always," Zhang Chunhua replied with a sigh, closing her eyes as she enjoyed the warmth of the sun. "My dear hasn't taken his rest in quite a while. I am beginning to worry a bit about his health."

"I did see that, yes. I ordered him to take a few days off this morning," Brian reassured her. She smiled a bit, her gaze showing small bits of amazement that he came to the same conclusion. "Now I have to say, I am pleasantly surprised."

Brian smiled. "Talent has to be cherished and developed, not squeezed out. Only then can we evolve to the best of our capabilities."

Before Zhang Chunhua could comment on that wisdom, the door opened, and the servant returned with a beautiful cup of tea, its rich and sweet flavor radiating. "Thank you," Brian said as the servant stepped out of the room and closed the door.

Brian took a sip of the tea, savoring its delicate flavor. "This is wonderful," he said, looking at Zhang Chunhua. "You have an excellent taste, as always."

"I know," she responded, her playful smile indicating she was not only referring to the drink. She kept her gaze on him as she asked, "Are you not even a bit curious why I am here?"

"They say curiosity kills the cat. Thus, I am considering if my curiosity outweighs the risks involved," Brian answered calculatedly.

Zhang Chunhua looked a bit defeated as she admitted, "And I thought I could bait you a bit. Always the level-headed one, aren't you?" Her eyes held a glint of desire as she added, "But that makes you even more interesting."

Brian leaned back, a smirk playing on his lips. "I have to keep you on your toes somehow. So, tell me, what brings you here today?"

Zhang Chunhua's expression softened as she leaned closer. "Lady Shangxiang had asked me for advice regarding her role as the principal wife, and the situation regarding Lady Yue Ying and my situation as your concubines." She sighed as she added, "It certainly is not an easy problem to solve."

Brian's expression grew thoughtful. "I can understand her concerns. It's a delicate balance, managing the relationships and ensuring everyone's happiness."

"Thus," Zhang Chunhua continued, "I would advise that if you seek the approval of the Emperor, you might want to do so with discretion. The Emperor is a well-known follower of Confucian beliefs. Confucianism dictates harmony within the family is an important value."

Brian nodded slowly, absorbing her words. "You're right. Do you have any advice on how I could face this topic with the Emperor, and what I have to be wary about?"

"I fear I do not. I would say, follow your instincts. They have led you so far, and I am confident enough they would lead you to the path you wish to take. Yet, I hope, however selfish it may be, to be there alongside you."

Brian smiled, appreciating her honesty. "Your support means a lot to me, Chunhua. We'll figure this out together."

She nodded, squeezing his hand gently. "Always."

After enjoying the peaceful moment with Zhang Chunhua, Brian continued his inspection of Jin Cheng, making his way towards the barracks and training grounds. As he approached, the sounds of rigorous training and the clash of weapons grew louder, a testament to the dedication of his soldiers.

Yu Jin was drilling discipline into the soldiers, and it was clear that his efforts were paying off. The men had grown into fit, strong warriors. Their movements were fierce, powerful, smooth, and precise, each strike and parry a testament to their rigorous training. The gear they wore was durable, well-fitted, and polished to a shine, reflecting their pride in their role.

"Form ranks! Maintain your stance!" Yu Jin's voice carried authority and pride. The soldiers followed his commands with precision, their synchronized movements a display of their discipline.

Brian observed the scene with satisfaction and approached Yu Jin, who immediately acknowledged his presence with a respectful bow. "My lord," Yu Jin greeted formally.

"Yu Jin, the progress is impressive. Your work is exemplary. Keep it up," Brian said, trying to adopt a slightly more relaxed tone.

"Thank you, my lord. Your old recruits were already disciplined, but the new ones required substantial effort. They are improving, but it takes time to instill true discipline," Yu Jin replied, maintaining his formal demeanor.

Brian nodded, appreciating the effort. "I trust your judgment and methods, Yu Jin. Continue the good work."

Yu Jin bowed again before returning to his duties, his voice once more commanding the soldiers to maintain their formation.

Nearby, Cao Ren was engaged in a fierce duel with Xingcai. The young warrior wielded a sword and shield, her movements quick and decisive. Cao Ren, with his spiked shield, matched her blow for blow, their weapons clashing with a resounding force. A group of soldiers had gathered to watch, their eyes wide with awe and admiration.

"Excellent, Xingcai! Your defense is solid, but remember to keep your stance firm!" Cao Ren encouraged her, his respect for her dedication evident in his tone.

Xingcai, undeterred, pressed her attack, her strikes powerful and precise. Brian watched the duel, his mind wandering to the duality of Xingcai's nature. She's so fierce on the battlefield, yet so tender in private. Truly remarkable.

"Did you see that block? She's improving every day," one soldier whispered to another.

"Yes, and her counterattacks are getting faster. She's truly dedicated to protecting us all," another soldier added.

"Keep pushing, Xingcai! You've got this!" one of the soldiers shouted, his voice filled with encouragement.

The duel continued, with Cao Ren and Xingcai exchanging powerful blows, each testing the other's limits. The spectators were captivated, their admiration for the young warrior and her seasoned opponent evident in their expressions.

As the duel concluded, Cao Ren and Xingcai bowed to each other, their respect mutual. Cao Ren then raised his spiked shield and challenged Xingcai to another round. "Prepare yourself, Xingcai. Let us test our limits once more," he said, his eyes filled with determination.

Xingcai nodded, a fierce resolve in her eyes. "I am ready, Master Cao Ren. Let us see how much we have grown."

The second duel was even more intense, with both fighters pushing themselves to the brink. The soldiers watched in silence, their admiration growing with each passing moment. Finally, Cao Ren disarmed Xingcai with a swift maneuver, ending the duel.

"You have become the strongest of shields. Your mind and body are as one. We are like twin shields, protecting man and earth. Together, we shall keep the chaos at bay," Cao Ren said, his voice filled with pride and respect.

Just then, Brian heard the familiar in-game notification sound in his mind: Your bond with Cao Ren is maxed. Cao Ren gained the support skill - Rouse Recovery.

Brian couldn't help but chuckle internally. Well, I appreciate the sentiment, but I think that recognition belongs to Xingcai here, not me.

Cao Ren smiled warmly as he faced Brian, his respect for his lord evident. "It's an honor to train under your command, my lord. Your leadership inspires us all to reach our fullest potential."

Brian nodded, touched by Cao Ren's words. "Thank you, Cao Ren. Your dedication and support are invaluable. We're lucky to have you."

As Brian continued to the next field of the training ground, his heart filled with confidence in his soldiers and the future they were building together. He couldn't help but think, The system got lucky this time, with a smile on his face.

After observing the impressive display of discipline and skill from Yu Jin's training and the fierce duel between Cao Ren and Xingcai, Brian continued his inspection towards the part of the training grounds where Zhao Yun was engaged in his own formidable display of prowess.

Zhao Yun was surrounded by five elite soldiers, all armed and ready. As the signal to begin was given, the soldiers moved in unison, attacking Zhao Yun from different angles. Zhao Yun's dragon spear whirled with incredible speed and precision, blocking and countering each attack with fluid grace. His movements were a blur of power and agility, his reflexes honed to perfection. The clash of metal echoed through the training grounds as he parried, dodged, and struck back with a force that left his opponents struggling to keep up.

One soldier aimed a high slash, but Zhao Yun ducked under the blade and spun to sweep the legs of another approaching from behind. With a swift thrust, he disarmed a third, and using the momentum, he deflected the strikes of the remaining two. The soldiers regrouped quickly, their determination evident, but Zhao Yun was relentless, his spear moving like an extension of his body.

Brian watched with admiration as Zhao Yun executed a flawless series of maneuvers, disarming one soldier after another until they were all at his mercy. The training paused, and the elite soldiers bowed respectfully to Zhao Yun, acknowledging his superior skill.

Zhao Yun turned to Brian, his eyes shining with respect. "My lord, your presence always brings out the best in us. May I request the honor of a duel with you?"

Brian smiled, shaking his head slightly. "I appreciate the offer, Zhao Yun, but I am not dressed for a duel, and I am here on inspection. However," he paused, seeing the eager faces of the soldiers around, "if you wish to have a duel, let's set it up as an event for the entire town to see. It would be an excellent display of our strength and unity."

Excited murmurs spread through the gathered soldiers. "I would totally want to see that!" one soldier whispered to another.

"Imagine the honor of witnessing our lord and Zhao Yun in a duel," another added.

Brian raised his hand to quiet the crowd, a smile on his face. "Not just a duel with Zhao Yun. Anyone who wishes to participate can join. Let's make this a grand spectacle, a celebration of our skills and our bond as a community."

The soldiers erupted in cheers, the excitement palpable.

"Zhao Yun," Brian continued, "please inform Master Delan of our plans so he can make the necessary arrangements. We will need his expertise to organize an event of this magnitude."

Zhao Yun bowed deeply. "Thank you, my lord. It will be an honor to showcase our skills for the town. I shall inform Master Delan immediately and begin preparations."

Brian nodded, pleased with the idea. "Let's make it happen. Prepare everything, and we will have the duel soon. It will be a good way to boost morale and show the strength of our bond."

As Brian continued his inspection, he couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement himself. The prospect of a public duel involving many participants was not only a way to demonstrate their prowess but also a way to strengthen the unity and spirit of Jin Cheng.

After making the arrangements with Zhao Yun for the grand spectacle, Brian decided to take a moment for himself and wandered towards the soldiers' garden, a place renowned for its tranquility and beauty.

As he stepped into the garden, he was immediately struck by the serene atmosphere. The air was filled with the subtle fragrance of blooming flowers, and the gentle rustle of leaves created a soothing background melody. The garden was impeccably maintained, each plant and flowerbed meticulously cared for, reflecting the dedication and discipline of the soldiers who tended to it.

Brian walked along a path lined with smooth stones, admiring the vibrant array of colors from the flowers that adorned the garden. The greenery was lush and well-kept, the grass perfectly trimmed, and the bushes artfully shaped. Traditional Chinese attributes, such as intricately designed stone lanterns and bamboo arrangements, added to the garden's serene charm.

In the center of the garden, a small pond mirrored the sky above, its surface undisturbed except for the occasional ripple caused by a fish breaking the surface. The tranquility of the scene was absolute, a stark contrast to the bustling activity of the training grounds.

Brian continued along the path, his steps slow and deliberate, allowing himself to absorb the peace that the garden offered. As he rounded a bend, he noticed several soldiers seated in various positions, meditating in silence. Among them was Huang Zhong, the elderly warrior a picture of calm, his breathing steady and deep.

Huang Zhong has always found solace in this garden, Brian thought, respecting the warrior's need for quiet reflection.

As Brian approached, Huang Zhong opened his eyes momentarily, giving Brian a respectful nod and a warm smile before returning to his meditation. The interaction was brief but meaningful, a silent acknowledgment of their mutual respect.

The other soldiers were similarly immersed in their meditation, their faces serene as they sought mental stability and peace after the intensity of their training. It was clear that the garden served as a sanctuary for them, a place where they could find balance and recharge their spirits.

Brian chose not to disturb them, instead continuing to walk through the garden, his thoughts quieting with each step. The silence was profound, broken only by the occasional song of a bird or the gentle hum of insects. It was a place of mental rest and meditation, offering a much-needed respite from the demands of leadership.

As he walked, Brian couldn't help but admire the discipline that went into maintaining this sanctuary. The flowers were carefully chosen for their beauty and resilience. The arrangement of rocks and water features was designed to promote a sense of balance and harmony. The soldiers who maintained the garden did so with the same dedication they brought to their training, ensuring that every aspect was meticulously cared for.

This garden is more than just a place for rest; it's a testament to the care and respect we have for our surroundings and ourselves, Brian mused. It's a reminder that even in times of strife, peace can be found. He chuckled. Since when did I become such a Philosopher? The conversations with Cao Cao, Sima Yi, and Zhuge Liang must have rubbed a bit of their speech onto me. He concluded.

He paused by a particularly beautiful arrangement of peonies and chrysanthemums, their colors vibrant against the green backdrop. The sight filled him with a sense of calm and appreciation for the simple yet profound beauty of nature.

Brian eventually found a bench shaded by a large cherry blossom tree and sat down, allowing himself to fully immerse in the tranquility of the garden. He closed his eyes, taking in the sounds and scents around him, letting go of the day's stresses.

The silence of the garden was a balm to his spirit, offering a moment of clarity and peace. It was in places like this that Brian found the strength to continue leading, knowing that such peaceful sanctuaries existed within his realm. As he opened his eyes and looked around the garden once more, he felt a renewed sense of purpose and determination.

After spending a tranquil moment in the garden, Brian continued his inspection and made his way to the barracks. As he approached the building, he could see the soldiers standing tall, their chests puffed with pride, eager to show their lord the place they called home.

Brian stepped into the barracks, immediately struck by the well-organized and clean environment. The atmosphere was welcoming, a testament to the care and discipline of the soldiers who lived there. The building was spacious and well-ventilated, with fresh air circulating through the strategically placed windows and vents.

A soldier, noticing Brian's entrance, stepped forward with a respectful bow. "My lord, I would be honored to show you around and explain how we experience life here in the barracks."

"Thank you," Brian replied, nodding. "I appreciate the opportunity to see how well you all are doing."

The soldier led Brian through the barracks, pointing out various features with enthusiasm. "We are truly blessed, my lord. The temperature regulation is excellent; we have a system that keeps us warm in the winter and cool in the summer. It makes resting after training much more comfortable."

Brian nodded, noting the thoughtful design and the content expressions of the soldiers they passed by. "That's good to hear. It's important that you have a comfortable place to rest and recover."

The soldier continued with vigor, "The ventilation is also top-notch. Fresh air circulates throughout the barracks, keeping it from feeling stuffy or damp. It's particularly appreciated after a long day of training."

As they walked, Brian observed the spaciousness of the living quarters. Each soldier had enough room for their personal belongings, and the bunk beds were neatly arranged with personal effects stored in an orderly fashion. "The space is well-utilized. Everyone seems to have enough room to themselves," Brian commented.

"Yes, my lord. The space allows us to maintain personal hygiene without any issues. We have ample facilities for bathing and washing our clothes, which keeps us in good health and ready for duty," the soldier explained, his pride evident in his voice.

Brian inspected the hygiene facilities, noting the cleanliness and accessibility. "It's clear that you all take great care in maintaining this place. It's spotless."

"We do, my lord. We understand the importance of cleanliness and hygiene. It's a part of our discipline and respect for ourselves and each other," the soldier replied. "The basic necessities are all provided for – good food, clean water, and medical supplies. We truly couldn't be more blessed."

Brian felt a deep sense of satisfaction hearing this. "I'm glad to know that you're all well taken care of. Your comfort and well-being are crucial for our success. It's heartening to see the pride you take in your home."

As they continued the tour, Brian could see how the soldiers interacted with their environment and each other. There was a strong sense of camaraderie and respect, a bond forged through shared experiences and mutual support.

"Sometimes," the soldier added with a chuckle, "our wives have to insist we return home because we have it so nice here."

Brian laughed, appreciating the light-hearted comment. "It's good to know that you all feel at home here. That sense of belonging and contentment is vital."

As the inspection concluded, Brian felt a renewed sense of pride in his soldiers and their living conditions. The barracks were not just a place to sleep; they were a testament to the care, respect, and discipline that defined his army.

"Thank you for showing me around and sharing your experiences," Brian said, placing a hand on the soldier's shoulder. "Your dedication and enthusiasm are truly commendable."

"It's an honor to serve under your command, my lord," the soldier replied, his voice filled with genuine respect.

With a final nod, Brian left the barracks, confident that his soldiers were not only well-prepared for battle but also well-cared for and content. The well-functioning barracks were a reflection of the thriving community he had helped build, a place where each individual could find comfort, support, and a sense of belonging.

After a satisfying inspection of the barracks, Brian made his way to the library, a cornerstone of knowledge and learning within Jin Cheng. As he approached the grand doors, the quiet hum of scholarly activity reached his ears, a stark contrast to the clamor of the training grounds and barracks.

The library was a vast, well-lit space filled with shelves upon shelves of scrolls, books, and manuscripts. The scent of parchment and ink filled the air, mingling with the soft whispers of officers engaged in study. The ever-growing collection was a testament to the value placed on knowledge and learning in Jin Cheng.

Brian walked through the rows of shelves, admiring the meticulously organized collection. As he moved deeper into the library, he saw Cao Cao engrossed in a historical text, his keen eyes scanning the pages with intensity. Cao Cao looked up and acknowledged Brian's presence with a respectful nod before returning to his reading, clearly absorbed in his studies.

Nearby, Yue Ying was seated at a table, surrounded by various texts on engineering and strategy. She glanced up as Brian approached, her eyes meeting his with a playful glint. A flirtatious smile played on her lips before she returned to her reading, her focus unwavering.

Xu Shu was in another corner, carefully annotating a scroll on military tactics. His concentration was intense, and he occasionally murmured to himself as he made notes. The depth of his knowledge and his dedication to learning were evident in every deliberate stroke of his brush.

Brian then spotted Lu Su, who was perusing a manuscript on governance and diplomacy. Lu Su looked up and, seeing Brian, approached him with a quiet smile. "My lord, what brings you here today? In search of more knowledge?"

Brian returned the smile and whispered back, "I'm here on inspection, Lu Su. It's heartening to see the dedication to learning and improvement in this place."

Lu Su nodded, his eyes shining with appreciation. "This library, though only a year old, has already transformed into an inspiring facility. The pursuit of knowledge is indeed a noble endeavor, and I find great satisfaction in it. But there is always room for growth."

Brian glanced around, noting the areas where new shelves could be added and the spaces that could be better utilized. The progress is evident, but there's still much to be done, he thought, recalling the level indicator in his menu that showed the library's potential for further development.

As Brian continued his inspection, he noticed the careful organization of the library. Each section was dedicated to different fields of knowledge—military strategy, engineering, literature, philosophy, and more. The collection was constantly expanding, thanks to the efforts of those who valued the written word.

The atmosphere in the library was one of quiet determination and respect. Officers moved silently, their interactions limited to whispered exchanges and nods of acknowledgment. It was clear that this place was a sanctuary for those who sought to better themselves through study and reflection.

Brian paused for a moment, taking in the sight of his officers deeply engaged in their scholarly pursuits. This library is more than just a repository of books; it's a place where minds are sharpened and new ideas are born, he thought.

As he walked past Yue Ying again, she looked up and caught his gaze once more. "My lord, have you ever considered writing your own treatise on leadership and strategy? Your insights would be invaluable," she whispered with a smile.

Brian chuckled softly. "Perhaps one day, Yue Ying. For now, I am content to learn from the wisdom of others and ensure that this library continues to grow."

She smiled, clearly pleased with his response. "I look forward to reading it when you do."

After a productive visit to the library, Brian made his way to the blacksmith. As he approached, he was impressed by the size and activity within the building. The place had grown tremendously since he began his adventure. The spacious area housed multiple blacksmiths working under the same roof, each focused on their craft, the rhythmic clanging of hammers creating a symphony of productivity.

Zhang Tian was overseeing the work as a capable leader. He was a respected old-timer of the craft and had personally transformed his small, dilapidated facility into the impressive establishment it was now. All thanks to his lord, who had gifted him the resources, the opportunity, and the manpower to do so.

Seeing that same benevolent man approach, Zhang Tian greeted him with a brotherly smile. "My lord, good afternoon. It's always a pleasure to have you here. What brings you here?"

"Zhang Tian, it's good to see you too. I am just on inspection to see if there are things that need to be perfected," Brian answered with a smile.

"Always striving for perfection. As always, you are an inspiration for us all," Zhang Tian complimented. "Please tell me if I can do anything to assist you."

"Actually," Brian started, thinking back on the increased level of his blacksmith and seeing a new feature. "I have been curious about how I can increase the strength of my weapons. I've heard whispers of new techniques but would like to understand them better."

Zhang Tian thought deeply. "New techniques? I have to admit, aside from upgrading its material, I have little knowledge about strengthening weapons. I do know who might know something to help you though. Forgemaster!" He called out.

It became quiet in the room at that moment. The blacksmiths who heard that call knew that name was not to be taken lightly. Within just a few months, the craftsman had made a reputation for himself as the absolute master of his craft, despite his lack of sight.

The forgemaster approached with a serene expression. His presence commanded the utmost respect. "My lord," the forgemaster started, bowing his head slightly, "how may I be of service?"

Brian repeated his query about increasing the strength of his weapons. The forgemaster nodded, understanding the complexity of the question. "Weapons are more than just tools; they are extensions of ourselves, living beings that respond to the elements we imbue them with. This process is known as tempering."

He continued, "Tempering a weapon will increase its capabilities with so-called 'elements.' These elements are blessings that provide the weapons with unique strengths. However, due to this power, the amount of elements we can give these weapons is limited."

The blacksmiths, including Zhang Tian, listened intently, their eyes fixed on the Forgemaster. The air was thick with anticipation and respect.

Curious, Brian asked, "Can you show me an example, Forgemaster?"

The forgemaster smiled. "Of course, my lord. Let me demonstrate. We will use the element of Flurry, which increases the damage of a continuous assault."

He selected two weapons, one as the base and another to be sacrificed in the process. The forgemaster's hands moved over the weapons with precision and care. He began by heating the base weapon in the forge until it glowed a bright orange. As he worked, he explained each step, his voice steady and knowledgeable.

"We start by heating the base weapon to make it malleable. This allows us to merge the elements from the added weapon," he said, placing the sacrificial weapon into the forge as well. "Once both weapons are ready, we begin the tempering process."

The Forgemaster carefully hammered the glowing weapons, sparks flying with each precise strike. The other blacksmiths watched in awe, absorbing every detail. The air around the weapons seemed to vibrate with energy, but it was the skill and technique of the Forgemaster that truly brought the process to life.

He combined the molten metals, folding and merging them with expert hands. The sacrificial weapon gradually disintegrated, its essence being absorbed into the base weapon. The rhythmic pounding of the hammer continued, shaping and refining the weapon until the process was complete.

When the tempering was finished, the Forgemaster quenched the weapon in oil, creating a burst of steam. He then polished the weapon, revealing a blade that shimmered with newfound energy. "There, my lord," the forgemaster said, handing the tempered weapon to Brian. "Feel the difference."

Brian took the weapon, feeling the power coursing through it. He performed a few practice swings and immediately noticed the enhanced speed and strength of his attacks. The Flurry element had indeed made a significant impact, increasing the damage of each consecutive strike.

"Remarkable," Brian said, his voice filled with awe. "I can feel the improvement. Thank you for showing me, Forgemaster."

The forgemaster bowed his head. "It is my pleasure, my lord. Remember, each weapon has its own spirit. By understanding and respecting this, we can unlock their true potential."

The other blacksmiths whispered among themselves, clearly impressed and eager to learn more about this intricate art. Zhang Tian stepped forward, his eyes filled with admiration. "We are truly fortunate to have such knowledge and skill among us. Thank you, Forgemaster, for sharing your wisdom."

"I am just a humble man, born and forged into the art of forging. It is only due to the facilities and the kind people here that my talent can truly flourish. If I can return that kindness by teaching you my knowledge, then I would gladly do so."

Brian smiled as he ignored the subtle in-game message informing him of the maxed bond with the blacksmith in favor of watching his blacksmiths upholding the Forgemaster's words. They were eager to learn more about the craft they called themselves specialists in.

Leaving the blacksmith area, Brian pondered about the possibilities of the elements for his weapon. If he could upgrade the right elements to the maximum of their capabilities, he had an unstoppable weapon in his hands. The five-star halberd, Soul Crusher, was currently his strongest weapon, and it had squared him against the mighty Lu Bu. How powerful could he become if that weapon's elements also assisted him?

Brian decided to hold off on his desire for knowledge and focus on his inspection of the city. Up next was the merchant district.

As Brian approached the district, he could tell it was another booming day. Customers thronged the designed pathways, visiting one stall after another. A few guards were giving instructions or directions. Stalls lined the spacious street, their owners shouting their wares as if they were selling gold itself.

A young guard, just done giving directions, noticed Brian. "Ah, my lord. Welcome. Is it time for an inspection again? Or are you here to buy more? I have to warn you, though; Master Delan has given us instructions not to let you buy any more furniture."

Brian smiled a bit awkwardly. "The old man is always looking out for me. Don't tell him I called him that," he quickly added. The guard nodded. "Anyway, how is everything going here today?"

"Splendid as usual, my lord. The streets are safe, and having the schedules for the stalls set the day before really helps keep everything organized. The streets are kept clean, ensuring no favored or bad spots for the stalls. The local stores are also very happy that the stalls have their own spots and are not obstructing their shop fronts," the guard informed him.

Brian nodded in satisfaction. "It's good to hear that everything is running smoothly. Keep up the good work," he said, patting the guard on the shoulder.

The guard beamed with pride. "Thank you, my lord. We will."

As Brian continued his walk through the merchant district, he couldn't help but marvel at the vibrant atmosphere. The chatter of the merchants, the laughter of the children, and the general buzz of activity all contributed to a sense of community and prosperity. He had worked hard to build this city, and seeing it thrive filled him with a deep sense of accomplishment.

Brian stopped by several stalls, exchanging pleasantries and inspecting the goods. At a jewelry stall, he was greeted by a middle-aged woman with a keen eye for her craft.

"Welcome, my lord. Looking for something particular today?" she asked.

Brian nodded. "Yes, I need something special as a gift for the misses. What do you have that might suit them?"

The vendor showed him several exquisite pieces, each unique and beautifully crafted. After careful consideration, Brian selected a few items that he knew would delight his loved ones. "I'll take these," he said, handing the pieces to the vendor.

"Excellent choice, my lord. I'll wrap them up for you," she replied, quickly packaging the jewelry with practiced efficiency.

With his purchases in hand, Brian continued his walk, heading towards Dynastic Elegance. The exterior of Liu Mei's shop was unassuming, almost blending into the surrounding buildings. She preferred it that way, keeping a low profile despite her unmatched reputation in the craft.

As Brian entered the shop, the familiar gentle chime of the door announced his arrival. Inside, the contrast was striking. Display cases filled with meticulously arranged jewels and finely crafted pieces showcased the true quality of her work. Liu Mei, the dignified owner, stood behind the counter, overseeing her staff.

"Lord Brian, it's good to see you. Welcome to Dynastic Elegance," she greeted with a warm smile.

"Hello, Liu Mei. Your store looks as magnificent as ever," Brian replied, returning her smile.

"Thank you. What brings you here today? Looking for something special?" she asked, her eyes twinkling with curiosity.

Brian shook his head, holding up the wrapped packages. "I already found some gifts at a stall. I'm just here to check in and see how things are going."

Liu Mei's smile widened, and she motioned for one of her assistants to take over the counter. "Of course. Let's go to the back and discuss this in more detail."

As they moved to a more private area, Liu Mei's demeanor shifted slightly. "Lord Brian, you do realize that sending all your officers to me has increased my workload tremendously, don't you?" she said, her tone playful yet filled with mock exasperation.

Brian chuckled. "Come on, Mei. You know they only trust the best, and that's you."

Liu Mei rolled her eyes but couldn't hide her grin. "Flattery will get you nowhere, Brian. But seriously, the extra work is killing me. I've had to hire more staff just to keep up."

"You're doing an amazing job, though. Everyone raves about your work," Brian said, his tone genuine.

"Well, it's a good thing I love what I do," Liu Mei responded, a hint of pride in her voice. "But next time, maybe you could warn me before sending a whole battalion of officers my way?"

Brian laughed. "I'll keep that in mind. Anyway, how are things going here? Any issues?"

Liu Mei shook her head. "None at all. The business is thriving, and the staff are handling the workload admirably. We've come a long way, thanks to your leadership."

Brian smiled, feeling a deep sense of pride and fulfillment. "It's a team effort, Mei. Everyone here plays a part in our success."

With a final nod to Liu Mei and her staff, Brian continued his inspection, his heart full of hope and determination for the future of Jin Cheng.

On his way out of the merchant district, Brian encountered Delan overseeing the day's activities. "Brian, good to see you," Delan greeted with a warm smile, though his eyes carried the familiar glint of sternness.

"Delan, always a pleasure," Brian replied. "I hear you've banned me from buying any more furniture."

Delan chuckled, a sound that was both affectionate and exasperated. "Just looking out for you, as always. You have enough furniture to furnish ten houses. But seriously, how can I assist you today?"

Brian looked around, taking in the bustling scene. "Just inspecting and enjoying the market. Everything seems to be running perfectly. Any issues I should be aware of?"

Delan nodded thoughtfully. "Actually, Master Zhao Yun has informed me of your new idea for a martial tournament for any who are interested. It sounds very interesting. If you do not mind, I will personally take care of it. It should provide some excellent entertainment and a perfect event for merchants to come and sell their goods."

Brian nodded in agreement. "Glad you are willing to organize it, Delan. I will leave the details to you. If you need any help arranging it, please just ask."

Delan's face softened slightly, though his tone remained firm. "Do not worry about me, Lord Brian. Don't forget to take care of yourself as well. You've been pushing hard, and while the city's prosperity is important, so is your well-being. If there is anything I can do for you, please let me know as well."

Brian nodded, appreciating the concern behind the strict words. "I will, Delan. Thank you."

Brian's thoughts briefly drifted to the somewhat complicated situation involving his concubines Yue Ying and Sima Yi, who were still happily married to their respective husbands. This matter weighed heavily on his mind, and he knew it was something he needed to discuss with the Emperor soon.

His face grew serious as he turned back to Delan. "There is one more thing. Please ask Master Mi Tong to set up a private meeting between the Emperor and me."

Delan observed the change in Brian's demeanor and nodded, understanding the gravity without needing further explanation. "Consider it done, my lord."

Brian made his way to his residence, where the Emperor was staying during his visit to Jin Cheng. The grand halls of his house were familiar, but today they seemed to echo with a sense of gravity. Master Mi Tong had arranged a private audience with the Emperor, and Brian felt a mix of anticipation and apprehension.

As Brian entered the courtyard, he saw Sun Shangxiang waiting. Delan had already informed her about Brian's upcoming meeting with the Emperor. She looked at him with concern, but there was also trust and unwavering support in her eyes. Without a word, she reached out and squeezed his hand, communicating her confidence in him. Brian gave her a small, reassuring smile before continuing on his way.

As he approached the Emperor's private chambers, the guards bowed respectfully and opened the doors. The room was adorned with rich tapestries and elegant furnishings, reflecting the Emperor's status and taste. The Emperor himself stood by a large window, gazing out at the city.

"Your Majesty," Brian said, bowing slightly.

The Emperor turned, his face lighting up. "Brian, come in. You know you can call me by my name when we're alone. What brings you here today?"

Brian straightened up, meeting the Emperor's gaze with a hint of a smile. "Thank you for seeing me on such short notice. There's a matter of some delicacy that I need to discuss with you."

The Emperor gestured for Brian to sit, his expression becoming more serious. "Of course. What's on your mind?"

Brian took a seat, collecting his thoughts before speaking. "It's about Yue Ying and Zhang Chunhua. They're both happily married to their husbands, but they're also part of my household as concubines. This arrangement has worked so far, but I fear it may lead to complications."

The Emperor's eyes widened in surprise. "I didn't know they were your concubines. That's quite a revelation. Have there been any specific issues?"

Brian shook his head. "No, not yet. But I worry about the potential for conflict or misunderstandings. Their loyalty to their husbands is strong, and I respect that deeply. I want to ensure their happiness and the harmony of our alliances are maintained."

The Emperor nodded, processing the information. "I see. But before we delve deeper into this, let me say, the growth of Jin Cheng has been remarkable. Each time I visit, there's something new. The discipline of your soldiers is impressive, and the many flourishing facilities are a testament to your leadership. I particularly enjoyed seeing the animals at the stables. Azeil and Kota, the tigers, are magnificent. The wolves, although I didn't catch their names, are fierce and beautiful. And the falcons, Ranger and Zephyr, are truly majestic. Bruno the Bear, of course, remains a favorite."

Brian chuckled, appreciating the Emperor's enthusiasm. "I'm glad you're enjoying the city. We've been working hard to make it a place where everyone can thrive. Bruno has become quite the attraction, hasn't he?"

The Emperor laughed. "He has indeed. Now, back to the matter at hand. Has this situation affected your daily life or your ability to function as a leader?"

Brian thought for a moment. "Not in my daily life or my duties as a leader. The relationships have actually brought harmony and strengthened our alliances. It's the unlawfulness of the situation that concerns me."

The Emperor nodded thoughtfully. "And what about the peace within your rankings? Has there been any tension or discord because of this arrangement?"

Brian shook his head. "No, the officers and the household have maintained peace and respect. Everyone understands the complexities and respects the boundaries."

The Emperor leaned back, considering Brian's words. "That's good to hear. But what about your mission to unite the land? Has this situation hindered your progress in any way?"

Brian met the Emperor's gaze with conviction. "It hasn't hindered my mission. In fact, the alliances formed through these relationships have been beneficial. It's just the legality and potential for future misunderstandings that worry me."

The Emperor smiled, his demeanor once again warm and reassuring. "Your concern for their well-being and the stability of your household speaks highly of you, Brian. It's a rare thing to see such consideration for the feelings of others in matters of state and personal relationships. Upholding the principles of Confucianism, family harmony is indeed important."

Brian felt a sense of relief at the Emperor's understanding. "Thank you, Your Majesty. I seek your wisdom in finding a solution that honors all parties involved."

The Emperor nodded thoughtfully. "Open communication and a formal agreement could help in maintaining harmony. If we clearly define and respect their roles within your household, it should help mitigate any potential issues."

Brian appreciated the Emperor's insight. "That sounds like a prudent approach. I will speak with Yue Ying, Zhang Chunhua, and their husbands to discuss this and draft such an agreement."

The Emperor's expression softened, his voice gentle yet firm. "You have my full support, Brian. If there is anything more I can do to assist, do not hesitate to ask. Just remember to take care of yourself as well. You've been pushing hard, and while the city's prosperity is important, so is your well-being."

Brian nodded, grateful for the Emperor's concern. "I will, Your Majesty. Thank you."

The Emperor placed a reassuring hand on Brian's shoulder. "Remember, Brian, you are my most important vassal. I have full trust in your capabilities to finish your mission. As long as you continue to help us achieve our goal of uniting the land, you will have my unwavering support."

Brian felt a renewed sense of purpose but also a sense of shock at the level of trust the Emperor had in him. He realized that his worries had made the situation seem more dire than it was. The Emperor's confidence in him was both humbling and motivating.

As they stood to conclude the meeting, the Emperor gave a playful smile. "And Brian, while I support you fully, discretion is advised. You are the prime minister, after all, and must set an example as a good citizen."

Brian chuckled, nodding. "Understood, Your Majesty."

The Emperor continued, "By the way, I've heard rumors about a martial arts tournament you're planning. I would love to see it. Such events are not only entertaining but also a great way to showcase our city's strength."

Brian's eyes lit up. "Yes, it's in the works. I'll make sure you have a front-row seat."

The Emperor smiled warmly. "I look forward to it. Keep up the excellent work, Brian."

As Brian left the Emperor's chambers, he bowed to the guards before he left and realized the weight of his position. The Emperor had talked to him like a true friend and had reaffirmed not only his stance on Confucian principles but also his full backing in case Brian's situation ever became problematic. It was astonishing. To think the Emperor thinks so highly of me, he thought. So this is how corruption starts. At least I recognize this should not be standard.

Arriving at his side of the house, he was welcomed by his wife, who looked at him worriedly. "How did it go?" she whispered.

Brian touched her face as he answered, "Surprisingly well. Let's just say the situation is no longer a problem, as long as we keep a bit of discretion."

Shangxiang jumped up and hugged him, her arms around his neck. By instinct, he caught her tender waist, making sure she wouldn't fall. "I am glad to hear that. I was worried about you, but you prove yet again to be a man of miracles. We have to celebrate this."

Brian smiled, holding her close. "Did you have anything particular in mind?"

Shangxiang looked a bit playful as she leaned forward and whispered, "It is a secret. You just have to wait."

Brian chuckled, feeling a mix of relief and curiosity. "I'll be looking forward to it, then."

The next morning.

Brian stood in his armory, surrounded by his collection of weapons. He was deeply engrossed in examining the various elements and trying to find the right combination to enhance his personal arsenal. It was a puzzle, and although he understood the individual elements, combining them for maximum effect required careful consideration.

As he worked, the soft sound of footsteps behind him caught his attention. "Hey, what are you up to?" Shangxiang's voice was playful as she slipped her arms around his waist from behind, resting her chin on his shoulder.

Brian smiled, turning to kiss her forehead. "I'm working on how I want to temper my weapons. It's a process where blacksmiths combine weapons to infuse them with elements to make them stronger."

Shangxiang looked at the array of weapons, her brow furrowing in confusion. "Temper? Elements? You know, you're going to have to explain this to me in simpler terms."

Brian chuckled, loving her puzzled expression and curious nature. "Alright, let me show you. Here, let's start with these swords."

He picked up two identical swords and handed one to her. "The one you hold now is just a normal sword. The one I have here has an element called Flurry engraved."

Shangxiang swung the normal sword a few times, feeling its balance. "Feels like a normal sword to me. Now, give me the other one."

She swung the other weapon and instantly realized what her husband meant. Although the changes were subtle, she felt as if the weapon was guiding her slightly, increasing her attacks as she continued her assault. "Wow, it's like it has a mind of its own!" she gasped in amazement.

Brian, loving the enthusiasm his wife showed, continued to expand on his thoughts. "Exactly. Tempering a weapon allows it to grow stronger without drawbacks in weight or durability. A weapon is limited to only six elements, though, so it's a puzzle to figure out what elements are the best combination."

"I might be able to help you with that. What are the other elements?" Shangxiang offered.

Brian smiled as he grabbed another weapon with the Slash element, and handed it to Shangxiang. "Your help is greatly appreciated. Instead of me explaining them, experience them for yourself."

Shangxiang took the weapon with the Slash element and swung it, feeling the difference immediately. "This one feels sharper, more deadly. It's like it can cut through anything."

"That's Slash for you. It inflicts additional damage or can even defeat an enemy in a single blow," Brian explained. "Let's check out some more. Here, try this spear with the Cyclone element. It inflicts damage even on enemies that are guarding."

As Shangxiang tried out the Cyclone-infused spear, she noticed small cuts in the air, and a little bit further from her reach, an iron chest was showing signs of damage. "I can see how this would be useful. What else is there?''

Brian let her experience all the elements once, each new element igniting the passion and enthusiasm of his wife even further. He explained the elements could be seen by recognizing the engravements on the weapon. They spent the next few hours experimenting with different combinations, Shangxiang's insights becoming increasingly valuable. She suggested pairing Flurry with Velocity to increase attack speed and maximize damage output, and adding Jubilation for health recovery.

"This is amazing," Shangxiang said, her eyes shining with excitement. "I never realized how much thought goes into this."

Brian smiled, wrapping an arm around her. "It's all about finding the right balance and using each element to its fullest potential. And with your help, I think we've found some great combinations."

Shangxiang leaned into him, her voice softening. "I'm glad I could help. It's nice to be part of your world, even if it's just for an afternoon."

Brian kissed her forehead, feeling a deep sense of connection and gratitude. "I gladly you invite you more into my world if you desire it so.''

Shangxiang leaned on his shoulder as she responded, ''I wish I could. I don't think I can keep up with your world though. But while I am here, let me continue helping you.''

She smiled as she picked up a pair of tonfas with the Induction element. "Alright, Mr. Tempering Master, what do you think about adding something to keep your potential to perform stronger attacks up during fights? Maybe something like Uplift?"

Brian looked thoughtful. "Uplift could work, but I'm leaning towards Velocity for increased attack speed. It would let me hit more often."

Shangxiang nodded, clearly considering his words. "I see your point. Increased attack speed would definitely complement Flurry and Jubilation. It would make you unstoppable in battle."

Brian grinned. "Exactly. And with Cyclone and Induction, I'd be dealing consistent damage even to guarding opponents, plus the chance for lightning strikes."

Shangxiang tapped her chin playfully, biting her lip seductively. "That's sounds so strong. I kind of want to see it now.''

Brian stood momentarily still, and Shangxiang was worried she had broken him with her little teasing. However, before she could feel worried, Brian stepped out and shouted, ''Mu Ta!''

''Yes, my lord?'' The head maid asked, worried about the shouting callout.

''Please inform Master Delan to make an appointment with the Forgemaster at the blacksmith as quickly as possible. Tell him I want to temper Soul Crusher.''

''Understood!'' the maiden acknowledged as she moved with professional quickness.

Brian turned around, seeing his slightly shocked wife staring at him. He pulled her closer, and whispered, ''Do that again, and I promise you, you won't get any sleep tonight.''

Shangxiang stared into his desireful eyes and bit her lip again. ''Promises, promises. Let's see if you are a man of your word.''

Brian made his way to the blacksmith area after a productive morning with Shangxiang, discussing the build-up of elements on his strongest weapon: the five-star Halberd Soul Crusher. As he approached, he could see the servants carrying various weapons he had selected for tempering, but it was the halberd, which he held effortlessly in one hand, that drew the most attention.

Zhang Tian awaited Brian's arrival, having already accepted the weapons his servants had brought for the tempering process. Only the main product of the tempering had he not seen yet, and Zhang Tian did not need to inspect long to recognize it as a one-of-a-kind weapon.

"Welcome back, Lord Brian," Zhang Tian greeted with a hospitable smile. Under that expression, nervousness and excitement were concealed. "If you don't mind, the other blacksmiths and I wish to observe the process of your weapon being tempered. After the display of yesterday, we are eager to continue improving our knowledge of the tempering method."

"I allow it," Brian responded before he asked, "Where is the Forgemaster?"

"He is preparing for your arrival. Let us proceed," Zhang Tian informed as he led Brian into the forge.

The Forgemaster was sitting in the back, making preparations as a master of the craft. As Brian walked in, the other blacksmiths laid down their work and shifted their attention to their lord and the wise Forgemaster. They quickly noticed the quality weapon on Brian's back, a weapon like no other they had ever made or seen before.

The master's head turned when they walked in, as his hearing caught the difference between steps. An unfamiliar yet familiar scent reached his nose, and the presence of one of his creations was close by. "So I heard you wish to strengthen the gift I gave you. I am very pleased to hear that, Lord Brian," the Forgemaster started. "Let us start immediately."

Brian gently grabbed the hilt of his halberd and laid it on the table in front of the Forgemaster. The Forgemaster stepped forward, caressing the halberd's haft, lug, and blade. He showed a smile. "It seems this young one is eager to gain more strength. Let us get started immediately. Did you bring the equipment that you wish this young one be engraved with?" he asked.

"I did. Master Zhang Tian," Brian ordered. The blacksmith laid the weapons on the table, from a normal sword to a well-designed mace. The weapons varied greatly to the naked eye, yet the Forgemaster could instantly see the resemblances of these pieces. "I see. You wish to strike as quick as light. You wish to deliver mercy to your enemies as quickly as possible. You wish to make your opponent's strength your own. Even the best of armor will not be enough to hold you back. Even lightning can be tamed with this young one. Lastly, you wish to let the enemy feel the wrath of your might. Very well." The Forgemaster acknowledged as he explained the elements Explosion, Jubilation, Cyclone, Induction, Velocity, and Slash. "Could I have some help to bring this young one and these little ones to the forge?" he asked his fellow blacksmiths.

Zhang Tian took it upon himself to carry Soul Crusher. Yet, the moment he tried to pick it up, the weapon did not move. So heavy! the experienced blacksmith thought, shocked. How did Lord Brian pick it up so carefree? he wondered internally. He shifted his gaze to two blacksmiths and ordered, "Guys, help out. This thing is heavy."

By the time Soul Crusher and the other weapons lay in position for the process to start, three men were panting. They knew their lord was strong, yet this was unnatural. The same weapon he wielded in one hand took the three of them to carry. There wasn't much time to be amazed by that knowledge, as the Forgemaster started his craft.

His movements were precise and smooth, and he hammered the tempered parts with absolute rhythm and precision. The blacksmiths watched in awe, their eyes fixed on the Forgemaster's hands, which seemed to dance over the metal with an almost magical grace. He moved with a fluidity that belied his age and blindness, each strike of the hammer ringing with power and purpose.

The air around the forge seemed to vibrate with energy, the elements merging into the halberd under the Forgemaster's expert touch. Sparks flew and steam hissed as the metals combined, the process a mesmerizing display of skill and craftsmanship. The blacksmiths held their breath, their eyes wide with wonder as they witnessed the transformation.

When the Forgemaster finally quenched the weapon in oil, a burst of steam filled the room, and an aura of power radiated from the halberd. The blacksmiths stood in reverent silence, the air thick with anticipation and respect.

Brian stepped forward, his hand reaching for the Soul Crusher. As he grasped the hilt, a surge of energy coursed through him, almost as if the weapon recognized its master. He could feel the power within it, a living force that responded to his touch.

"This...this is incredible," Brian whispered, swinging the halberd with newfound ease and precision. The air around him seemed to vibrate with energy, the weapon's aura enhancing his strength and speed.

The Forgemaster nodded, a satisfied smile on his lips. "The weapon is now a true extension of your will, my lord. May it serve you well in your quest."

Brian turned to the Forgemaster, his eyes filled with gratitude and respect. "Thank you, Forgemaster. Your skill is beyond compare. This weapon will indeed help me achieve my goals."

The Forgemaster bowed slightly. "It is my honor to serve, Lord Brian."

The evening sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm golden glow over Jin Cheng. Despite the evening settling, the city was alive with activity. The air was filled with the tantalizing aromas of various foods.

Brian and his wife walked through the bustling streets, their presence bringing a sense of joy and pride to his people. They loved their lord, and they loved to see him happy. Thus, seeing their lord being held by his arm by his loving wife, they were overjoyed. That closeness was not just for the public, for Shangxiang was sparkling as a maiden in love.

She looked as radiant as ever, her growing hair flowing gracefully just past her shoulders. She wore a hanfu in shades of pink and white, adorned with intricate patterns that highlighted her elegance. Her delicate features were enhanced by the soft glow of the lanterns, making her appear even more beautiful. Brian had to resist the urge to just keep staring at her all night.

Brian himself shone brightly with his freshly shaven face and perfectly trimmed hair. The deep-blue hanfu with silver embroidery fitted him exceptionally well, giving him an air of dignity to his already divine presence.

Azeil walked beside the couple, his presence a welcoming surprise for the citizens of Jin Cheng. For the guests of the city, it was an unusual sight to see the giant cat walking so freely on the streets. Brian had thought about bringing his bear, but Bruno wasn't well acquainted with the people yet. Further, his size would not make it easy to move through the crowded streets of his city. I am sorry you have to be alone for now. I will find you a friend as quickly as I can, he internally apologized to the beast. A shriek pulled him out of his thoughts as he noticed Ranger and Zephyr fly high in the sky.

"Look at the variety of food stalls," Shangxiang said, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "To think we would ever see so many stalls here. It is incredible."

Brian smiled, enjoying the sight of his wife happy. "It is. To think we could have built this all in this short period. It is exceptional what hard work and commitment can do."

Shangxiang smiled as she held Brian's arm tight. It had been a year and a few months since she had met Brian. Back when she fought for her youngest brother and still had to worry about her daily life and the food they had. When she thought back on her duel and the fight between their two armies, she could only be happy she had lost the way she did.

If her brother had won that battle, she would have never experienced this. She would not have stood in a city blooming alive in a time of chaos. She would not see so many people happy, so many officers under the same banner, or have made so many friends. She would have not experienced the unique flavor of cheese, the warm comfort of Azeil, or the reassurance of the lovers she shared. She wasn't even looking forward to fights anymore. She just wanted to be by her husband's side.

"What are you thinking about?" Brian asked, seeing her serious expression.

"How I am really happy to have met you, you dummy." She joked before she pulled his arm and added, "Now let's get something to eat. I'm starving."

Brian chuckled, "Alright, let's see what we can find."

They continued their stroll, stopping at various food stalls to sample the delights. The first stop was a vendor selling steamed buns filled with savory meats and vegetables. The steam rose from the bamboo baskets, carrying a mouth-watering scent through the air.

"Would you like to try one?" Brian asked, looking at Shangxiang.

She nodded eagerly, and they each took a bun, biting into the soft, flavorful dough. The taste was delightful, a perfect blend of spices and tenderness.

As they continued their walk, they passed a stall selling an array of cheeses, a luxury that Brian had introduced to the land. The vendor, seeing Brian, offered them a sample. "My lord, my lady, please try this. It's a new blend we've been working on."

Shangxiang savored the rich, creamy texture and smiled at the vendor. "This is excellent. You've truly outdone yourselves."

The vendor beamed with pride. "Thank you, my lady. It is an honor to serve you both."

Brian thought internally how Shangxiang had become a fine wife, her grace and warmth bringing joy to everyone around her.

They visited a few more stalls, sampling a variety of local delicacies, before deciding to enter a restaurant that allowed Azeil to join them. The restaurant was a large establishment with several floors, the highest one offering a breathtaking view of the city and open to the night air.

As they ascended to the top floor, they were pleasantly surprised to find most of Brian's officers already there. The atmosphere was lively, with people enjoying their meals and the cool evening breeze. Sima Yi and Zhuge Liang were seated at a table, drinking and enjoying the evening with their wives. Cai Wenji and Zhen Ji were playing their instruments, their music adding to the enchanting ambiance. Zhang He danced gracefully, his movements drawing cheers from the crowd.

Brian's presence did not go unnoticed, and several of his new officers tensed up when they caught sight of him. They did not know how to respond to seeing their lord in private. Brian just smiled and softly ordered, "Continue on."

With that, the air shifted back to its usual self. It took a bit longer for the likes of Cao Pi and his wife to adjust that quickly to Brian's words, but with Cai Wenji's music and Sima Yi's laughter, they too relaxed.

As Brian and Shangxiang went to find a table, Cao Ren was the first officer in the room to speak to him. "My lord, my lady," Cao Ren said with a respectful bow, his voice filled with warmth. "It's wonderful to see you both here tonight."

"Likewise, Master Ren. How have you been?" Brian asked.

"Excellent, thank you. I am thankful I could enjoy my day off without having to worry about the consequences," he answered sincerely. "I even enjoyed the company of a young maiden today. I hope to meet her again."

"You will. We will no longer disturb you. Enjoy your meal," Brian wished as they walked away. Cao Ren bowed before he returned his attention to his dining companions.

As they continued, Guo Jia approached them, his steps a bit unsteady. "Lord Brian! Glad you are here. I have something to discuss with you," he said, his extroverted personality strengthened by the fine alcohol of the evening.

Brian smiled indulgently, "Of course, Guo Jia. What is it you wish to discuss?"

"My apologies, Lord Brian. Master Guo Jia had a bit too much," Jia Xu interjected, bowing slightly. "He means no disrespect."

Brian chuckled, placing a hand on Guo Jia's shoulder. "No harm done, Jia Xu. Let Guo Jia enjoy his evening. We can discuss matters when he is more... coherent."

Guo Jia laughed heartily, swaying slightly. "Thank you, my lord. I promise it's something brilliant!" He then allowed Jia Xu to guide him back to his seat.

As they continued to find a table, Sima Yi and Zhuge Liang waved them over, their expressions inviting. "Lord Brian, Lady Shangxiang, come join us," Zhuge Liang called out, his tone cheerful, influenced by a fine wine of the day.

As they approached, the wives of the two strategists stood to greet them. Yue Ying and Zhang Chunhua, both looking radiant in their elegant dresses, bowed gracefully.

"Good evening, Lord Brian, Lady Shangxiang," Yue Ying said with a gentle smile.

"It's a pleasure to see you both," Zhang Chunhua added, her eyes sparkling with warmth.

Brian and Shangxiang returned the bows. "It's wonderful to see you all enjoying yourselves," Brian said, taking a seat beside Sima Yi. One look closer, and he noticed the bags under Sima Yi's eyes were gone. "You look much better, Sima Yi. It seems the break has done wonders for you," Brian noted, accepting the cup Sima Yi had poured with wine.

The grand strategist chuckled. "Thanks to your insistence, my lord. I must admit, it feels good to relax and enjoy a moment without the weight of the world on my shoulders."

Zhuge Liang nodded in agreement. "Indeed. We owe you our gratitude for giving us the time to rest our minds. You are truly a benevolent man."

"It is only natural to rest once in a while. Even the most dedicated minds cannot continue on without a moment to breathe," Brian said.

Brian took a moment to appreciate the lively scene as the waitress returned after writing down their orders. Cai Wenji played the harp softly in the background, her fingers moving with precise yet delicate movements. Brian couldn't help but notice the music sounded lonely and a bit less energetic than he had previously heard. What's going on with her? he wondered.

Zhang Chunhua noticed the small shift in Brian's attention, gave a quick glance to where his gaze led, listened to the music, and realized what was going on.

Just as she was wondering what to do, Azeil perked up and walked towards the harpist. Cai Wenji looked up, confused as the big cat began to come close and comfort her with a soft purr. "I am sorry. Did I make you worry?" she asked Azeil with a smile. A small tweak of her strings and a quicker, more wholesome sound rang through the restaurant.

Zhen Ji followed instantly, her flute plays fitting perfectly with the quick pace. Zhang He smiled as he increased his dancing pace, perfectly synchronized with the music. Azeil wagged his tail, causing Cai Wenji to smile even brighter. Better, Brian thought before he shifted back to his table.

It was a lovely evening as Brian enjoyed the company and the scenery. Even if the need for food was not something required, Brian could still appreciate the joy of food. Even if he couldn't get drunk, he was still enjoying the taste of the wine that Sima Yi kept pouring.

After the main course was finished, Azeil perked up once again. His nose caught a familiar scent, and it was visible by the playful wagging of his tail. With a playful growl, the tiger bounded towards the entrance, leaving the patrons in a mix of surprise and amusement.

Struck by a moment of déjà vu, Brian's gaze followed Azeil's path. As two familiar figures appeared from the staircase, they were met with a very playful tiger. "Hello there, buddy! Yes, I missed you too," Sun Quan spoke playfully, hugging and patting the big cat.

Seeing Azeil, thus realizing her lover was there as well, Lianshi's gaze scanned the room. Her eyes brightened when she saw Brian and Shangxiang, and she waved enthusiastically. "Brian! Shangxiang!" she called out, her voice filled with joy.

Brian stood, his face lighting up with a broad smile. "Sun Quan! Lianshi! It's great to see you both."

Sun Quan approached with a grin, his demeanor relaxed and friendly. "Did you miss us, old friend? Or is it just Azeil who missed us?"

Shangxiang moved forward, hugging Lianshi warmly. "It's wonderful to have you back. How was your journey?"

"We've made great progress with the company," Sun Quan said, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "The trade routes are flourishing, and we've established strong connections in every major city and small town from Di Dao to Guan Du."

"Come sit with us. There's much to catch up on, and tonight is perfect for celebrating."

The evening in Jin Cheng was nothing short of magical. As the evening continued, the ambiance grew more festive. The restaurant had closed early on, but the lanterns hanging above the city's street provided a warm and inviting glow. It was precisely the place to continue the festive ambiance.

Zhang Chunhua and Yue Ying, realizing their husbands had enjoyed a bit too much wine, gently led their husbands home. Sima Yi and Zhuge Liang, drunken but still in good spirits, were guided back to their quarters, leaving the rest to continue the celebration.

As the night wore on, Brian found himself swept up in the festive atmosphere. He joined Zhang He on the dance floor that was the plaza, matching his graceful movements with his own fluid steps. Zhang He had been an exceptional teacher.

Cai Wenji continued to play her harp, her rhythm matching Brian and Zhang He's pace. Her gaze was solely focused on her lord at the time. Each chord she struck was another step in the harmonious dance between musician and dancer. She played with the pace again, forcing her lord to move faster, more precisely, or to slow down. He was making the moves, but she was leading. It was a dance of affection.

Shangxiang and Lianshi had joined the dance, and both were aware of Cai Wenji's intentions. She was showing affection to their lord in a way they never could, hoping for a role that could affect something very precious. Thus, knowing what her role in that precious meant thanks to the lessons from Zhang Chunhua, Shangxiang knew what she had to do.

The festive ambiance continued as they danced under the lantern-lit sky, the music filling the air with a sense of joy and unity. Other musicians had taken over as Diao Chan, Zhen Ji, and Lu Lingqi joined the dance. The daughter of Lu Bu was nervous at first but quickly lost that nervousness as she clapped to the rhythm, her body moving automatically to the music.

Dong Zhuo looked on from the side, enjoying the fine specialties within the city. His eyes caught a specific interaction, the dance of affection. As the perceptive man that he was, he also noticed the reaction of Brian's concubines, and he grinned. "Who knew? You and I are something alike," he murmured with a sly grin.

Cao Cao and Cao Pi stood at the side, enjoying the festive ambiance with wine, and observing the people dancing. Cao Cao's wife was one of the women dancing, her dignified style momentarily let loose in this new environment of festive ambiance.

"To think a single man can inspire this much. I have misjudged Lord Brian greatly," Cao Pi commented.

Cao Cao smiled as he recalled his adventures with his new lord. From the recruitment at Luo Yang, to the battle against Liu Bei, Cao Pi, and Lu Bu, to the many discussions regarding politics. In the months that he was part of Brian's army, he had felt his flame burn brighter. His sense of self returned, and his ambition to one day stand as a true saver of the land had been re-sparked. And Cao Cao knew Brian was the cause of that. Looking at the man who was dancing, he confirmed to himself hoping to serve him for a long time. "Do not blame yourself for that oversight, my son. There are many people in this land, but only a few heroes. And there are only a chosen few like him. His talent is vital to my ambition. Let us enjoy this moment and see the new world that he creates await our arrival."

Your bond with Cao Cao is maxed! Cao Cao learned the Support skill - Rouse Assault!

"You definitely drank too much, father," Cao Pi mocked before he turned his eyes back to the plaza. "Yet, I do believe there is a sliver of truth in your words. I am curious where this man's leadership may guide us."

As the night was set and the party died down, Brian walked with Shangxiang and Lianshi back to his house. Lianshi and Shangxiang were catching up, the depth of their girl talk escaping Brian's mind. However, despite the long hours and the late hour, he was wide awake.

He had the feeling of déjà vu for the second time today, and he knew when he had experienced a similar scene. It had been his birthday.

As they arrived home, a familiar scene was unfolding. Red petals were laid down, marking a path to follow to his bedroom. However, unlike last time, Brian understood the assignment. He believed so, yet a soft beautiful sound echoed from his bedroom. Oh... I was not expecting that one. Brian realized immediately.

''Let's see if you are a man of your promises, my lord,'' Shangxiang whispered as she bit her lip, and gently guided him to the bedroom. Lianshi was surprised by her lady's act, as her lady seemed to have lost all uncertainties. She smiled as she walked alongside her lord, her hand gently pushing him along.

As expected, Cai Wenji was sitting in his room with a harp, her eyes closed as she solely focused on her play. Her music was one of love, slow, tender, and full of emotion. As Brian walked in, he could see she was not the only one who had gathered in his quarters.

Zhang Chunhua, Yue Ying, and Xing Cai's gaze met his, their eyes speaking more than a thousand words could ever say.

Brian gave a loving look to all three, then shifted his gaze to the harpist. He gave a wondering look at his wife, who seemed to read his inner thoughts. "It is okay. She wants to be part of our family. You just have to accept her, if you desire so," she whispered, her eyes filled with desire and confidence.

Brian smiled upon that statement, gently caressed his wife's cheek, and kissed her forehead. He stepped towards the harpist, whose eyes had opened. Her fingers stopped, and although her eyes were focused on her lord, her gaze was filled with uncertainty. Brian gently smiled. "I thought I had already felt a difference in your music since we returned. Music truly is the language of the heart."

Zhang Chunhua smiled, realizing Brian had come to the same conclusion that evening. He truly was a man of detail.

"It is, my lord," Cai Wenji acknowledged, her heart beating rapidly. She had pictured this moment for weeks, maybe even months. Yet, at this moment, she couldn't speak a word. Her throat felt dry, and no words could come out of it.

Brian seemed to realize her problem as he looked at the harp. "If words cannot convey your emotions, let your heart do the talking." Cai Wenji nodded as she sat behind her harp, and played.

Her music was like a story. Brian did not know a single thing about music, and even he could hear the scene set. A woman, craving affection, hoping to fill the emptiness in her heart. A woman who screamed for his attention but was afraid to voice it. Cai Wenji converged her emotions. Her meeting with the young lord. The joy of him as he danced to her music, and made each time she played her harp a true delight. She had lost her passion for the harp, and Brian had reawakened it. He had awakened her passion for the music, and her passion for love.

Each time she heard the rumors, her heart ached. Each time she saw his lovers or concubines stare at him like a maiden in love, she could feel nothing but regret and envy. She wanted to experience that passion. She wanted to be by his side in more ways than just an officer.

Brian could hear the yearning for affection in her music, and not him alone. His concubines had stood up and joined him. Small bits of connection were initiated in the form of a hand seeking his, or a head resting upon his shoulder as they listened.

When Cai Wenji's play stopped, tears were rolling down her face. She had said everything she wanted with her play, hoping to convey her emotions to the one who had ignited the passion of life back into her.

Brian approached her gently, reaching out to wipe the tears from her cheeks. "Your music speaks volumes, Wenji. It tells me everything I need to know."

Cai Wenji looked up at him, her eyes filled with hope and vulnerability. "My lord, I... I have longed to be a part of your life, and your family. I love you, and I want to share in this bond."

Your bond with Cai Wenji has maxed. Cai Wenji learned support skill- Rouse Assault. Unlike previous times, the in-game message was subtle and barely readable.

Ignoring the mental notification of such overwhelmingly loving words, Brian extended his hand. "Welcome to my family, Wenji."

Without hesitation, she grabbed his hand. His hand felt warm, like it melted the wall that was her nervousness and fear. He pulled her closer and embraced her. She let out a small shriek of surprise but quickly felt comfortable with the warm presence of her lover.

"Welcome to the family," Shangxiang said softly, a hand gently placed on Cai Wenji's back.

"We are happy to have you with us," Lianshi added, her voice gentle.

Yue Ying and Zhang Chunhua nodded in agreement, their smiles reflecting their acceptance. Xing Cai, holding her lord's arm, also gave a nod of approval.

Brian felt proud of his family, for a moment forgetting why they were here. He was quickly reminded of that fact as Shangxiang kissed him and whispered, "Now for the main act."

With absolute confidence, she pulled him to the bed, gently turned him to face her, and pushed him onto the soft surface of the bed.

"For tonight, you are our emperor. Our man. Our lover. The one we serve," she softly announced as her hanfu fell to the floor. "For tonight, we will serve you to your full contentment. Not as soldiers, but as your women," she exclaimed as the others followed suit. "Enjoy, relax, and show us just how much of a man you truly are, my lord," she purred as she came closer.

Her eyes stared at him with deep desire as she moved behind him, slowly undressing his upper body. Lianshi and Zhang Chunhua had already settled themselves at his sides, untying the robe that held everything together. Xingcai and Yue Ying undressed his lower body, each action filled with a desire to explore.

There was one spot left for Cai Wenji to settle herself, and her face turned red as she realized that. However, her love was greater than her embarrassment, and without wasting time, she settled between his legs.

She was surprised by the intensity of her fellow concubines. Zhang Chunhua and Yue Ying, always so collected, were eagerly exploring Brian's body. Lianshi, always so calm, was kissing Brian's neck, her expression filled with a desire to experience the same. Xingcai, always the warrior, had an expression of a maiden in love, her eyes pleading for more. Brian's senses were exploding, and Cai Wenji could clearly see the effect of it in front of her.

"Wenji, please don't hold back. Let your desire take over," Shangxiang ordered as she smiled, hugging her husband from behind, greatly enjoying his reaction. Cai Wenji nodded before she nervously moved forward. At the start, she was careful and nervous. However, seeing her lord's reactions and her fellow concubines increase in intensity, she too began to let loose. For a moment she wondered if her lord could even handle them all, only for a hand to move through her hair. Her eyes moved slightly up, only to see his gaze on her. His eyes were full of desire.

As the warm-up ended, they moved onto the spacious bed. Cai Wenji realized the kind of man her lover truly was as she witnessed his interactions with the other women. Each concubine, renowned for her strength, wisdom, courage, and personality, succumbed to his touch. Zhang Chunhua trembled as Brian explored her body, his touches eliciting sounds she never believed she could make. Cai Wenji watched in shock as Zhang Chunhua's face contorted in ecstasy, her moans louder and more intense than ever. What surprised Cai Wenji most was that the other women were waiting their turn, playfully joining in but never pushing for their moment. It was as if they knew they would get their fair share.

As the senior concubine panted heavily, trying to return to her senses after reaching euphoria, Shangxiang softly tapped Yue Ying's back. This subtle gesture was all Yue Ying needed to move in. She clung to her lover like a snake, her body shivering with goosebumps as Brian explored her collarbone, neck, and ear.

A slight tap on Lianshi's lower back signaled her turn. Moving with the grace and fierceness of a tiger, she positioned herself behind Brian, her hands caressing his dense, muscular body. She reveled in the feel of his powerful arms that could carry them like feathers, and his broad shoulders that seemed capable of bearing any burden. "Don't forget about me, darling," she purred, kissing his neck.

Cai Wenji was in awe as she watched her new lover handling his concubines. Each woman received the attention she deserved, treated in the way she desired. Zhang Chunhua was overwhelmed by primal desire, while Yue Ying and Lianshi shared close, passionate moments. Brian's hands moved to pull them closer, exploring them without restraint.

As both ladies tried to regain their composure after their initial desires were fulfilled, Shangxiang tapped Xing Cai's shoulder. Contrary to her warrior demeanor during training, Xing Cai revealed a tender side that Cai Wenji had not expected. Equally surprising, Brian moved slowly, caressing her tenderly. He held her hands as they kissed, their bodies and souls connecting in a tender dance of love.

"Lord Brian..." Xing Cai whispered, barely audible, her breathing shallow and ragged. Her body tensed as something inside her built up, each nerve ending on high alert. Her focus wavered as her senses blurred, and her hands tightened around her lover's.

"I am here," Brian whispered tenderly, sensing her climax approaching. He maintained his steady pace, each movement causing Xing Cai's grip to tighten and her moans to grow louder.

"My lord... my lord... I... am...!" she cried out as the tension snapped. Waves of intense rhythmic contractions convulsed through her, each sending a surge of pleasure through her entire body. Her body eventually collapsed, feeling tired and satisfied. Basking in the afterglow of her intense climax, she met her lord's gaze, his eyes and smile a reminder that she was safe. He gave her a tender kiss, both of them smiling before he shifted his attention to the next woman.

As Xing Cai's body relaxed into the bed, Cai Wenji felt a light touch on her back from the main wife, signaling her permission. Her heart fluttered with a mix of excitement and nerves.

Shangxiang noticed Cai Wenji's hesitation and couldn't resist teasing her a bit. "Nervous, Wenji?" she whispered playfully, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Don't worry, he's quite gentle... if you want him to be." Cai Wenji blushed, the playful tease both embarrassing and oddly comforting. Seeing her lover's eyes staring at them with excitement yet nervousness, Shangxiang smiled gently. "Just show him what you like."

Gathering her courage, Cai Wenji moved forward. Her gaze met Brian's, whose expression mirrored her own mix of excitement and uncertainty. As she crawled closer, her lips near his, she whispered, "Please kiss me."

At first, their kiss was modest, testing the waters and each other. Quickly, things heated up as Cai Wenji settled on Brian's lap, her hands exploring his muscular back. Her breaths became ragged and shallow as she moaned softly. Brian's desires took over, and he hugged her tightly, exploring the side of her neck with gentle kisses.

Feeling the desire rise within her, Cai Wenji stopped her lord, and pleaded, "My lord, I want it... Please make me yours."

Five women witnessed how Brian welcomed his sixth lover into their family. Cai Wenji's eyes shot open as their connection started, her senses assaulted by a new stimulation. One she was not familiar with, as she bit her lip, trying to overcome the pain. ''Are you okay, Wenji?'' Brian asked worried, seeing her expression and feeling her tense up.

''Just...Hold still for a moment,'' she uttered. Pain overcame her, rendering her unable to move. She felt ashamed, only to feel a hand on her back.

''Take as long as you need. I will wait until you are comfortable.'' Brian comforted, holding her tight.

''The first time is always the most difficult one to enjoy. Just take your time.'' Lianshi reassured her.

''I know how nervous I was the first time,'' Shangxiang confessed as she placed a hand on her back, her eyes meeting her lover's once more. ''It doesn't help my darling is quite well-build.''

Yue Ying and Zhang Chunhua nodded, and even Xing Cai, who was still trying to recover from her euphoria, let out a soft sigh of agreement.

Feeling the comfort of her new family, Cai Wenji relaxed. Her eyes focused again on her lover, who was staring at her with a loving gaze. The pain ebbed away, making room for other desires to come to the surface. She slowly started to move her hips, feeling the pain fade away, replaced by sensations of bliss. "Ah..." She started to moan, feeling Brian moving beneath her. His hands began to explore, each squeeze or touch further enhancing the intense sensations Cai Wenji experienced.

As the tension built up, so did her moans and desire for more. Her hips moved on instinct, searching for the best way to stimulate her body even further. Her back arched, giving her lover more options to explore. Each time he did, her moans grew louder.

Her breath came in ragged gasps, and her body tingled with anticipation. She could feel the pressure building within her, a coil tightening with every movement. Brian's hands found her most sensitive spots, and she cried out, overwhelmed by the pleasure coursing through her.

Cai Wenji's senses were on fire, each touch, each thrust sending electric waves through her body. Her vision blurred, and she could only focus on the overwhelming need building inside her. "Brian... please..." she whimpered, her voice thick with desire.

He responded with increased intensity, his own desire evident in his eyes. The connection between them deepened, their bodies moving in perfect harmony. Cai Wenji's moans became cries of pleasure as the tension inside her reached a peak, her body trembling uncontrollably.

With one final, powerful thrust, the tension snapped. Cai Wenji screamed in ecstasy, her body convulsing as waves of pure pleasure washed over her. The climax was intense, leaving her breathless and shaking. Cai Wenji looked up into Brian's eyes, finding them filled with tenderness and love. He brushed a strand of hair away from her face, his touch gentle and reassuring. She smiled softly, her eyes reflecting her gratitude and newfound affection.

Without words, their connection deepened. Brian leaned down and kissed her forehead tenderly, a silent promise of his affection and commitment. Cai Wenji closed her eyes, savoring the warmth and safety she felt in his arms.

Reluctantly, Brian pulled away slightly, his eyes seeking permission to continue. Cai Wenji nodded softly, a serene smile on her lips, signaling her contentment and acceptance.

Brian gently laid Cai Wenji beside him, ensuring she was comfortable before he turned his attention to Shangxiang. The main wife watched with a knowing smile, her eyes filled with love and anticipation. Shangxiang's fierce spirit was evident as she moved gracefully, her confidence and desire unmistakable.

Without hesitation, she crawled towards Brian, her movements fluid and purposeful. She straddled him, her eyes locking onto his with an intense, burning desire. "My turn, love," she whispered, her voice a seductive blend of command and affection.

Brian's hands instinctively found her hips, gripping them firmly as Shangxiang leaned down to capture his lips in a passionate kiss. There was no hesitation, no doubt—only the raw, powerful connection between them. Her kisses were demanding, each one a testament to her fierce love and desire.

Shangxiang moved with a practiced grace, her body pressing against his in a rhythm that spoke of their deep familiarity and trust. Brian responded with equal fervor, his hands exploring her curves, knowing exactly how to ignite her passion.

Her breath hitched as his hands roamed, and she arched her back, giving him full access to her body. The moans that escaped her lips were low and throaty, filled with a need that matched his own. "Brian... I want you... now," she demanded, her eyes flashing with a mix of love and lust.

Brian's eyes darkened with desire, recognizing the fierce command in her voice. With Shangxiang, he didn't have to hold back. Their connection was raw and unrestrained, a fiery testament to their deep bond. He allowed her to take control, her confidence and strength guiding their movements.

Shangxiang's pace quickened, her hips moving with a determined rhythm that drove them both to the edge. Brian's hands gripped her hips firmly, matching her intensity with every thrust. Their passion was palpable, a powerful force that seemed to envelop the room.

The other women watched in awe, the sight of their shared intensity sparking their own desires anew. The air was thick with the sounds of their lovemaking, each moan, each gasp a testament to their unbridled connection.

Shangxiang's eyes never left Brian's, her gaze fierce and loving. She rode him with a confidence that left no room for doubt, their bodies moving in perfect harmony. Her hands roamed his chest, feeling the hard muscles beneath her fingertips, drawing strength from their shared passion.

"Don't hold back," she whispered fiercely, her voice a low growl of command and desire. Brian responded with a powerful thrust, his own control slipping as he let himself fully embrace their connection.

Their climax built rapidly, the tension between them a coiled spring ready to snap. Shangxiang threw her head back, a primal scream of pleasure escaping her lips as her body convulsed in ecstasy. Brian followed moments later, his release a powerful surge that matched her intensity.

As they came down from their high, the room seemed to pulse with the aftershocks of their passion. Shangxiang collapsed onto Brian's chest, her body trembling with the afterglow of their shared climax. Brian held her tightly, his hands still exploring her back in gentle, soothing motions.

Shangxiang wasn't done yet. She raised herself above her lover and bit her lip the same way she had done that morning. Brian remembered his words clearly. His eyes darkened with renewed desire, a playful yet determined look crossing his face. He whispered, "Promises, promises. Let's see if you are a man of your word."

A mischievous smile spread across Shangxiang's face as she looked up at him. "I believe you owe me a night without sleep," she challenged her voice a mix of love and desire.

Brian responded by pulling her close, their lips meeting in a searing kiss that reignited the flames of their passion. He flipped her gently onto her back, positioning himself over her. "I am a man of my word," he murmured against her lips, his hands roaming her body with renewed fervor.

Shangxiang's laughter turned into moans of pleasure as Brian's touch brought her back to the heights of desire. She embraced him fully, her body arching to meet his every move, ready to receive everything he had promised.

Seeing Shangxiang and Brian's playful yet intense connection, each woman watched with eager anticipation, their bodies responding to the electric atmosphere in the room.

Lianshi moved closer, her hands sliding over Brian's back, her lips trailing kisses along his shoulders. She leaned in, biting his ear gently, whispering, "Don't forget about us, my lord," her voice dripping with playful seduction.

Zhang Chunhua and Yue Ying turned their attention to Shangxiang, their touches both teasing and tender. Zhang Chunhua's fingers danced across Shangxiang's skin, while Yue Ying's lips brushed against her neck, eliciting soft gasps from the tiger princess.

Xing Cai and Cai Wenji positioned themselves around Brian, their touches and kisses a blend of playful teasing and deep affection. Xing Cai ran her hands down Brian's chest, her fingers tracing the contours of his muscles, while Cai Wenji's lips found the sensitive spots along his neck and shoulders.

Brian responded to each of them, his touch moving from one to the next, ensuring no one was left wanting. He turned his head slightly, capturing Lianshi's lips in a heated kiss, his hands roaming her body. She moaned into his mouth, her fingers digging into his back as their kiss deepened.

Shangxiang, caught between the teasing touches of Zhang Chunhua and Yue Ying, found herself lost in a whirlwind of pleasure. She arched her back, pressing herself closer to their caresses, her moans growing louder with each passing second.

Xing Cai and Cai Wenji, determined to draw Brian's attention back to them, intensified their teasing. Xing Cai's hands moved lower, caressing his hips and thighs, while Cai Wenji's kisses grew more insistent, her teeth grazing his skin playfully.

Brian, caught in their collective passion, felt his own desire surging anew. He moved between them with practiced ease, his touch igniting sparks of pleasure in each woman. His hands found Xing Cai's hips, pulling her closer as he kissed her deeply, his other hand cupping Cai Wenji's face, guiding her into a passionate kiss.

The room was filled with the sounds of shared pleasure, each woman's voice adding to the symphony of desire. Brian's touch was everywhere—fingertips trailing along sensitive skin, hands gripping firmly in moments of shared intensity. His kisses lingered on each of them, leaving trails of fire in their wake. Each woman felt cherished, desired, and deeply wanted.

Lianshi's breath hitched as Brian's lips found the hollow of her throat, her cries of pleasure resonating through the room. Yue Ying gasped, her body arching into his touch as his fingers skillfully navigated her curves. Zhang Chunhua's soft moans turned to cries of ecstasy, her hands clutching at his back, pulling him closer.

Xing Cai and Cai Wenji, still wrapped in his embrace, exchanged heated kisses with Brian, their bodies pressing against his, feeling every inch of his passion. Xing Cai's nails dug into his shoulders, her cries echoing with each movement, while Cai Wenji's soft whimpers turned into fervent pleas for more.

Brian moved with purpose, his passion a driving force that left no woman untouched. His kisses were deep and lingering, his touch both gentle and commanding. Each caress, each embrace, was a testament to his desire to ensure they all felt the depth of his love and need.

The room pulsed with their collective desire, the intensity of their connection palpable. Each woman's cries of pleasure added to the harmony of their union, their bodies and hearts intertwined in a dance of pure, unrestrained passion.

As the night gave way to dawn, the first light of morning began to seep through the room, casting a warm, golden glow over the entwined bodies. A sparrow chirped outside the window, its song a gentle herald of the new day. The peaceful sounds of nature softly intruded upon the stillness that had settled in the aftermath of their passion.

Brian looked around at the women surrounding him, each one now drifting into a contented slumber. Their faces reflected the satisfaction and love they had shared throughout the night. He smiled softly, feeling a profound sense of fulfillment and peace.

Shangxiang, her head resting on his chest, murmured softly in her sleep, her fierce spirit momentarily at rest. Lianshi lay close by, her hand still entwined with his, her breathing slow and even. Yue Ying and Zhang Chunhua were nestled together, their arms wrapped around each other in a tender embrace. Xing Cai and Cai Wenji lay on either side of him, their bodies relaxed and peaceful.

As the rooster crowed in the distance, Brian felt a deep warmth in his heart. His promise had been fulfilled—none of them would sleep that night, but now, as the morning light embraced them, they found rest in the comfort of each other's presence.

With a final, loving glance at his wife and lovers, Brian closed his eyes, allowing the serenity of the morning to wash over him. For a brief moment, he let go of the weight of his task to unite the rest of China under one banner and simply enjoyed the peaceful stillness.
