Chapter 25: Dog-Tired

A/N: There be sex in this chapter!

The morning sun shone through the window and bathed the two still sleeping occupants that were tangled together in a way that you couldn't tell where one ended and the other began. The morning sun not bothering them in the slightest, no squint of the eyes, no moans of displeasure at the intrusion of light on their faces nothing to indicate that they even realized that the sun had even risen.

Inuyasha and Kagome had stayed up into the wee hours of the morning not being able to keep their hands to their selves until exhaustion had finally won and made them both fall asleep satisfied and tangled with one another. Kagome's head was on Inuyasha's chest while her arms were wrapped around his waist and her legs were tangled with his - Inuyasha's arms were wrapped securely around her as they slept on unaware that morning had crept in on them.

As the hours passed there was still no indication that the sleeping couple was going to wake up anytime soon.

Soon, noon rolled around with no word from Inuyasha or Kagome - both Miroku and Sango knew that they would probably still be asleep at this time or not wanting to leave the bed for longer than necessary, however, it was lunch time and they missed breakfast - she was fighting with herself on letting them sleep/be and waking them up so that they could eat. She let out a sigh as she stood up from the couch that she and Miroku sat on while watching a movie.

"I'm going to make lunch and probably going to wake them up to see if they want to eat." Sango said as she looked down at Miroku.

Miroku nodded as he stood up as well. "I'll help you." He said as he followed Sango into the kitchen.

Sango smiled and nodded, she loved when Miroku helped her cook, she loved how much fun they had while cooking. Loved having him around her, all the little touches between one another, when he stood behind her with his arms wrapped around her waist as he watched as she cooked the food that they had prepared together.

Once lunch was done, Sango walked her way to Inuyasha's door ready to knock, however, before her knuckles could connect with the door - her phone rang. She fished her phone out of her pocket before looking down on the screen and seeing that it was her father that was calling.

"Hey, dad, what's up?" Sango answered as she walked away from Inuyasha and Kagome's door for the time being.

Once she was done with the call, Sango and Miroku - who had overheard the call - ran back to Inuyasha and Kagome's before knocking several times to wake the sleeping duo up.

Inuyasha and Kagome both groaned as the knocking continued on their door, they tried to ignore it as they held on to each other tighter and tried to fall back to sleep, however, the knocking didn't stop. With another groan, Inuyasha reluctantly untangled himself from Kagome to go yell at whoever was outside his door for daring to disturb them, he threw on a pair of sweatpants before going to jerk the door opened with a growled what.

"Dad called-"

"Keh," Inuyasha scoffed grumpy that he was woken up after not getting good enough sleep last night, he was still worn out after all the rounds that he and Kagome did - he didn't regret it one bit, he was just exhausted and would have been happy to sleep the day away with said woman, "that's it? Don't you think that could've waited until I woke up myself?"

Sango sent Inuyasha a deadpanned look at him interrupting her and stopped him from closing the door in her face. "If you'll listen, dad called, he said that he has information on the whereabouts of Naraku and the others - he's on his way here to discuss it with us."

That got both Inuyasha's and the still lightly dozing Kagome as she sat up in the bed with the sheets wrapped around her. "Okay, I'll be out in a minute, I have to get dressed." He said and shut the door again when Sango nodded in agreement. He turned around and saw Kagome already up, walking with her eyes half opened toward the closet to get dressed. He sighed as he followed her wishing that they were still in bed asleep, he felt dead on his feet and knew Kagome felt the same way - probably worse because she was just human, he had the benefit of demon blood running through his veins, but he was still dog-tired. Not bothering to get all fancy with what he wore, since it was just his dad that he was meeting, he got dressed in a plain black shirt, a pair of jeans and just slipped on his crocs and waiting for Kagome to get finished. "You can go back to sleep if you want, I'll tell you what is said in the meeting." He said as he stepped her and ran his claws across her cheekbone before moving to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear.

"'S fine." Kagome said sleepily and allowed Inuyasha to help her put one of his shirts on then held onto his shoulders when he knelt down with a pair of her jeans and helped her slip them on. "Thanks." She breathed out once he buttoned and zipped her jeans for her. She was so tired and really did want to go back to bed, but she also wanted to be wherever Inuyasha was as well as wanting to be a part of the meeting as well. So, with that in thought, she sleepily walked out of the room and toward Inuyasha's office hand in hand with said man.

When they made it to the office, Inuyasha realized that no one was in there yet, he figured that Sango must be waiting close by the door for when their father showed up. He sighed as he pulled Kagome toward his desk before sitting down in his seat and accepting Kagome with wide arms to sit on his lap. Once she sat down, she moved around until she was curled up perfectly against him before sighing and closing her eyes. A few minutes passed before he felt her relax fully as her heartrate slowed and her breathing evened out with sleep, he had a feeling she might fall back to sleep which is why he asked her if she wanted to stay in the room and sleep. He sighed again as he ran his claws through her hair, he wasn't upset that she fell asleep - he'd never be upset over that, if she needed to sleep then she should, however, he wished he was sleeping too - he was a little jealous that she still got to sleep.

A few minutes passed as Inuyasha continued to look at Kagome's sleeping face as he ran his claws through her hair, she was just so damn beautiful no matter what - happy, confused, sleepy, mad, hell - even when she was sad, she was the most beautiful being on this planet and he felt like the luckiest bastard alive that he got to call her his. He leaned down and pressed a kiss to her temple just as the door to his office opened revealing his entire family; Sango, Miroku, Toga, Izayoi and Sesshomaru before they all walked in.

"Is this a good time?" Toga asked keeping his voice low as he looked at the slumbering woman in his son's lap. "We could come back later today and have this discussion."

"It's fine." Inuyasha said and Kagome could feel his voice vibrate through his chest even in her sleep and she sighed in her sleep as she tried to bury herself even closer to him. He looked down with a small smile on his face as he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her even closer. "She wanted to be here, and I wouldn't deny her what she wants. Plus, it's her family that we're talking about, so she has every right to be here - even if she sleeps through the whole thing."

Toga and Izayoi looked at each other with smiles of their own, happy that their son found someone for him to love and to be truly loved in return.

"You said you might know where Naraku and them are," Miroku said getting to the point, "how can you be sure?"

"I have people all over the city, I shot out a word to everyone that I know to keep an eye out and gave a description on all three of them." Toga explained as he looked from his wife back to where Inuyasha sat. "I got a call right before lunch telling me that one of my people found two women matching the description I gave to them, said they were down south."

"Yeah, Kagome said that they had a beach house and a villa down south." Inuyasha said quietly as he started to run his claws through Kagome's hair again. "Did you have them do anything to them?"

"No," Toga said with a shake of his head, "I figured that you all wanted to handle them yourselves. I did tell them to keep them within sight though, so you didn't have to waste time searching for them."

"Thanks dad," Inuyasha said as he looked the man in the eyes, "you've saved us from having to look for the bastards."

"You're welcome, son." Toga said with a small smile. "I'm proud of you, Inuyasha. You've made a life for yourself, you help people, you help your community and you found yourself a love that will last a lifetime." He said before his smile faded and a look of deep regret took over. "I am sorry for what I did and for keeping it a secret, I thought I was doing the right thing. I should've learned my lesson when Sesshomaru came back cold and indifferent, please forgive me, son."

"Dad, if you didn't do what you did, none of this would've been possible. The hospital would've gone under, the city would be struggling, I do what I can to help build this city towards the best city it can be." Inuyasha said as he looked back down at the sleeping woman in his lap. "If you didn't do what you did, then I more than likely would've never met Kagome - would've never known what love could really feel like. I even have a son now." He said then had to swallow the lump of emotion that tried to make its way out before he looked back and made eye contact with his dad once more. "I want to say thank you for doing everything that you did for me, for making my life whole."

"You're welcome son," Toga said with a proud smile, "I'm so glad you found happiness in your life."

Inuyasha smiled at Toga before nodding towards him, Toga stood up and stuck his hand out, however, Inuyasha stood up before walking over to a free couch and placing Kagome down on it, she didn't even flinch when he did so, he then turned around and stuck his hand out for Toga to shake. Once Toga placed his hand in Inuyasha, Inuyasha pulled his father in for a hug making a gasp leave Toga's mouth before his arms came up to wrap around his son.

"Love you, dad." Inuyasha whispered. "Thank you."

"Love you too, son."

"Can you come back tomorrow for another meeting?" Inuyasha asked as he pulled away to look his dad in his face. "We need to go over some plans on how we're going to go about this, and we might need your help." He said as he raised his hand to scratch the back of his head. "I'd do it now if I wasn't dog-tired right now."

"Of course, son, what time?" Toga asked.

"Same time works for me if it works for you." Inuyasha said.

"Okay, that's fine with me, see you tomorrow."

Once the meeting ended, and apologies, thank yous and I love yous between Izayoi and Inuyasha were done - Toga, Izayoi and Sesshomaru made their leave. Inuyasha turned a scooped Kagome back up, intending to go back to bed for a few more hours - he was still so dog gone tired that he could barely keep his eyes open.

Sango seeing that Inuyasha was about to head back to his room, stood up and called his name.

"Are you hungry?" Sango asked once Inuyasha turned around to regard her. "I made lunch, I was about to wake you up right before dad called so you could eat."

"Thank you, but I don't think either one of us could stay awake long enough to even think about eating." Inuyasha said as he looked at her apologetically. "Just let us sleep for a few more hours, then we'll come out to eat."

"That's what happens when you stay up all night doing naughty things, my friend." Miroku said with a chuckle.

"Shut up, lech!" Inuyasha said with a growl as Sango thwapped Miroku in the back of the head with her hand. "That's what you get!" He said watching Miroku rub the back of his head as he left his office.

Inuyasha walked the short distance from his office to his room before entering and kicking the door shut, he laid Kagome on the bed before getting in and scooping her up in his arms as he pulled her closer to him. He instantly fell back to sleep.

Four AM, Inuyasha grunted as he felt Kagome move around, trying to get out of his hold on her. A warning growl left his throat that said, 'be still and go back to sleep'. He smirked when she stopped moving, then she let out an irritated sigh that almost had him chuckling as she started to move again which made him tighten his hold on her.

"Sha," Kagome grumbled as she continued to struggle, "I have to go to the bathroom, let me go or I'm going to pee on the bed!"

Inuyasha did chuckle that time as he released her of his hold and watched as she ran into the bathroom to relieve herself. Once she was done, he sighed as he got up to use the bathroom himself before coming back to bed and crawling on top of her. He lowered his body on hers with another sigh as he laid his head on her still naked chest as he put his forearms under her arms and his hands grasped her shoulders.

Kagome sighed happily as she brought her hands up to run her fingers through his hair before moving higher up and grasped both ears in her hands to lightly rub them.

Inuyasha's breath hitched in his throat before a moan escaped as he pushed his head more into Kagome's hands as his eyes rolled back and his grip on her shoulders tightened.

Kagome giggled lightly earning her a nip to her breast that had her body jerking as a squeal left her throat. She moved her hands from his ears to swipe his hair off his back so she could lightly run her fingers up and down his back, smiling when his body shivered, and another soft moan escaped past his lips. She added more pressure and tilted her fingers so she could run her nails up and down smiling wider when a growl vibrated his chest and his grip tightened even harder as he nipped at her breast again before taking her nipple in his mouth. She gasped as her back arched off the bed and her hands moved from his back to fist in his hair pushing him harder on her breast causing another growl to sound from his throat.

Inuyasha moved his hands from her shoulders making sure that he dragged his claws down her sides leaving little red lines in their wake that had her body jerking again as a moan left her mouth and her grip on his hair got tighter. Once his hands reached her hips he stopped before grabbing her hips tightly, his nails digging into her skin in a way that had her panting with want as she pulled at his hair. His mouth left her nipple as he nibbled, licked, and kissed his way down her body, his teeth sinking into to the flesh of her inner thigh which had her arching off the bed, had her screaming her pleasure and had her pulling at his hair harder. He licked the bite mark to sooth the slight sting before turning his head and attacking her clit with his lips, teeth and tongue.

"Inuyasha!" Kagome screamed as she let go of his hair to fist into the pillow her head was laying on as her hips thrusted into his face.

Inuyasha slipped a finger into her hot tight entrance a pumped a few times before adding a second finger before curling them, hitting that spot deep inside her that had her seeing stars and had her riding both his fingers as his face. He growled deep in his chest in approval as she continued to thrust against his face as he added a third finger.

Kagome felt the coil in her belly tighten ready to snap as her body jerked and the rhythm of her thrusts against his face became uneven and her breathing started to come out in pants and moans as her hands came back to fist in his hair as she tried to push him harder against her.

Getting the hint loud and clear, Inuyasha started to pump his fingers harder and gave her clit one last hard suck that had Kagome's body going tensing as she screamed out his name and exploded on his face and hand. He swallowed every drop she had to give before kissing his way back up her body, making sure to pay extra attention to the little bullet scar before moving on up her chest giving each breast a kiss then showing some attention to her collarbone before attacking her neck with his lips, teeth and tongue.

Inuyasha's attention to her body had Kagome moaning and a fire starting in the pit of her stomach that only he could put out. Her legs wrapped around his waist as her arms wound around his neck and her hands fisted back into his hair. His teeth biting down on a sensitive part of her neck had her moaning loudly as her hips jerked up against his making him growl against her neck which only made the fire in her stomach grow bigger and hotter.

"S-Sha, please." Kagome begged as her hips rubbed against his again causing him to hiss through his teeth, he moved off her before grabbing her and roughly flipping her over on her stomach and lifting her ass up in the air as he twirled the end of her hair around his hand for something to hold on.

"Keep your head on the bed." He demanded, his voice harsh with desire that sent shivers up and down Kagome's spine. His free hand came to squeeze her hip, his nails digging in her skin in the most delicious way, before he thrust and filled her up in one fluid motion making her scream his name as she fisted the sheet beneath her.

Inuyasha began to pound ruthlessly with bruising force that had Kagome screaming her approval as she clawed her nails down the bed before reaching behind her to grip his thigh and dig her nails into his skin.

"In-sha!" Kagome screamed a broken version of his name as she arched her back when he angled his hips just the right way to reach deeper inside her as his hand left her hip to rub the pad of his thumb against her clit. The fire in her belly getting hotter by each of his thrusts until it reached every nook and cranny of her entire body, she felt as it licked through her veins as he roughly pulled her hair.

"Come on, baby girl," Inuyasha commanded in a growl as he felt his end near and he rubbed her clip harder as he put more force behind his thrusts, "cum with me, now!"

The command in his voice along with everything he was doing to her body at that moment made the fire inside her burn so bright before moving down to her core making her cum hard against him as she screamed his name, she felt as his body jerked before she heard him scream her name before falling on her once his orgasm ended.

"Get in the shower." Inuyasha whispered his command in Kagome's ear making her shiver as he got off her. He watched her as she willed her legs to work properly, smirking in male pride that he caused her body to basically shut down in pleasure, he watched her as she held onto the wall and made her way to the bathroom before he stood up and slowly followed after her, silently promising to himself that he'd make sure that he would have to carry her after he was done with her.
