Looking through the windows in anticipation, the displaced S.P.A.C.E. crew could only awe as they finally approached their destination. After all this team, they could finally peek at the ever-important planet before them. The temperate world of Corneria, known as the jewel of the system, is the center of government, culture, and politics for the Lylat system. Although the planet is home to 85% of the Lylat system's population, including most of their new friends, its industry and cities are built in complete harmony with nature.

"There she is, quite the looker ain't she?!" Fox said cheekily, looking on in pride as they approached. For the onlookers, it was the ideal vision of natural coexistence, a dream to strife for.

"Yeah, she sure is!" Bucky said, looking at its beautiful sapphire oceans and lush green fields, he couldn't help but be reminded of Genus. The capital planet of the United Animals Coalition, and the center of the mammalian coalition and home to many of its species.

"Reminds me a bit of Genus! Right, guys!" Willy pointed out, admiring the natural beauty before him. The similarity between the two was outstanding, they had to admit, yet in Corneria they saw a promise. A promise of what they could become once the fighting was over, for as similar as they were, it was clear that Corneria was far more developed.

Its cities and industries were built while keeping in harmony with nature, allowing its rich ecosystem to flourish. Roads seemed to be built above the ground to allow the plant life to thrive, and pollution so minimal that the seas remained pristine and the skies clear. They could see why it was such a prime target for those seeking conquest over the galaxy. So, they promised to keep that from happening, be it from the toads or the aparoids!

Lowering into the atmosphere, the crew prepared for their long-awaited arrival. "All right, folks! General Pepper has secured us a spot in one of the CDF bases, so be on your best behavior!" Peppy joked as they lowered past the cloud layer. Looking below, they could see the large Cornerian-made island that housed the military base in the distance.

"Would you look at that!" Dead-Eye said with a whistle, "Gives the one down in Sludge a run for its money!" he commented, impressed with the structures. Gawking in awe at the sheer size of the construct, the Aniverse travelers were even more excited for a closer look.

Nearing a docking bay, the ship finally came down as the crew prepared for their long-awaited arrival. Making their way down towards the loading bay, they were greeted by a familiar face. "Captain O'Hare, out of uniform I see!" Sirius said haughtily, sharing a laugh with his approaching companions. "Commander Dogstar! Aren't you a sight for sore eyes!" Bucky replied gladly, sharing a hearty handshake with his fellow officer.

"Anything to report!" Bucky asked as the two began walking towards what he presumed was the command tower. "Oh, Bucky old chum! This place is simply marvelous, everybody is perfectly synchronized like a well-oiled machine. Reminds me of my younger days bag in the academy, now those were the days I tell you!"

"I can tell!" Bucky quickly interrupted, not wanting to be caught up in another of the commander's tall tales. Though he had to admit he had a point, as all around them defense force personnel were hard at work prepping the station. "I and the others have been hoping for assistance in the coming conflict. The toads have been quiet, and we both know that can only mean one thing!" he told him abruptly. "They're planning an attack. Yes, I have spoken about this to General Pepper before. Unfortunately, they don't see it as a priority at the moment, but they have agreed to support us in any way they can!" Dogstar explained to him, charring his concern.

"You speak fondly of him, you must hold him in great regard," Bucky replied confidently, relieved they had some more leeway with the local military. "Oh, General Pepper is great! A true patriot I say! He truly cares for his people, that much I can tell. And he has been nothing but accommodating in the few days I have known him. He's the type of commanding officer you want on your side!" Sirius told his friend, clearly greatly respecting his fellow soldier. In truth, he had come to see the old hound as a sort of father figure, much like the rest of the men under his command.

"That's old Pepper, all right!" Fox said, butting into the conversation. "We've been working for him for some years! Real relievable guy! Tried to get us to join more than once!" he finished with a smug laugh. "Why didn't you?" Bucky asked his friend, genuinely curious, as despite being mercs Star Fox didn't seem like the greedy type.

"We like to do things our way. Is better that way, no need to wait for the brass to get off their butts!" Fox answered, his face changing for a second, the subject clearly getting to him. Bucky could tell this was personal for him, something had happened in the past, and the military was too late to respond. It probably had to do with Pigma and the original Star Fox, he tried not to pry, but it did make him wonder about the others. About their families and the people they had left behind.

He could understand his point, it had been something of contention in the past; the council was usually too late to respond to certain things, if not dismissed them completely. It wasn't a perfect system, but they had made it. Frankly, if they hadn't finally woken up and realized the threats at their doors, he probably would had done the same. They were far from the most ordinary group around and were known for getting into trouble now and again.

The rest of the walk went by relatively silence as Sirius had led the group toward the command room. "Here we are boys!" he announces eagerly, ushering them into a large room filled with monitors and control consoles, several officers hard at work in them. Standing in the center of it all an elderly hound dog in a bright red uniform stood attentively. This was General Pepper, commander-in-chief of all Cornerian military forces stationed throughout Corneria's territories located in the Lylat System. A former associate of Andross, he had been responsible for the disgraced science officer's banishment and had worked extensively to protect Corneria and the entire Lylat System from any threat since.

"Commander Dogstar! I see you've bought some visitors!" he said jovially, eagerly walking forward to greet them. "Peppy, glad to see you all made it back in one piece!" Pepper said, shaking his old friend's hand.

"Not without a few close calls! Tell me, was Fichina properly evacuated!" Peppy asked suddenly, worry clear in his tone.

"All safe and accounted for, old friend. I made sure they got called back as soon as the aparoids were sighted in the system!" the general reassured him, knowing where his fears came from.

"Did you manage to retrieve the core?" he then asked, switching to a more professional tone. "Not yet! But we're on the trail. Once we get patched up, well be over it in mere seconds, I assure you!" Peppy told him, confident in his team.

"That's the spirit! But where are my manners?!" he says suddenly, turning to Bucky and the others. "General Pepper of the Cornerian Army at your service!" he said with a salute. "Captain Bucky O'Hare of the S.P.A.C.E. frigate Righteous Indignation at yours! Bucky responded with a salute of his own. "Captain Mimi LaFloo of the Screaming Mimi at your service!" Mimi reported as well, both standing at attention.

"At ease men! I'm well aware of both your exploits! Commander Dogstar has spoken of great lengths about the both of you!" General Pepper told them cordially. "You're aid was of great help during the Fortuna campaign!" he said, offering his hand to Bucky as he said so. "Thank you, sir!" Bucky said, shaking his hand respectfully, "We had help to offer our assistance in the coming battles!" he said, with Mimi agreeing behind him.

"It would be my pleasure to have you by our side! Now, I do believe the reports mentioned your ships need some repair! He informed them, offering a small smile at the two. "That's right sir, we will have to repair them before we can join you in the air!" Mimi spoke this time, feeling the need to contribute to the conversation.

"Very well them! I believe my engineers have had some experience working on ships from your home," he explained calmly, turning towards one of his men. "Lieutenant, transport their vessels to the repair bay. The rest of you come with me!" he said, clear and commanding, as he ushered the group away from the room.

Deeper into the complex, the group had been taken to a large room filled with half-assembled fighters and other machinery. Several personnel hard at work fixing up the multitude of ships damaged during the battles. Tanks and mechs lined the walls as they passed by, each looking ready to go at a moment's notice.

"Woah!" Willy exclaimed in awe as he took all of it in. "You can say that again! You run a smooth operation here sir!" Bucky said, looking impressed at all of it. "You can thank our friend over at Space Dynamics for that, as well as our research director, for that!" he said with a hardy laugh, pointing at the familiar toad in the distance.

"Careful, careful, you're dealing with very sensitive materials! Don't just lay that out in the open! Stop that this instant!" they could hear Beltino bellow out in the distance. "This brings back memories!" Slippy said fondly, recalling the countless hours he would spend working with his father. "Director Beltino, if I could get your attention!" Pepper called out behind him, causing the toad to jump in surprise briefly before turning towards the newcomers.

"Ah, General Pepper! I didn't see you there!?" Beltino croaked out, recomposing himself before greeting them. "And you must be our trans-dimensional visitors! I have heard so much about you!" he said, eagerly shaking Bucky's hand. "The pleasure is all ours!" Bucky exclaimed, caught off guard by the force of the shake. "I figure you're here to take a look at the Indefatigable! Quite the ship, that one. Never really worked on something like it before, quite a challenge. But nothing a little creative thinking couldn't' fix!" he began to speak, rambling about his work as he led them toward a conspicuous-looking tarp.

Pulling it off, he revealed the improved Indefatigable beneath it for everyone to see. The engines had been replaced from their original round look into the usual angled look of their Cornerian counterparts. The same thing with the canopy, with increased armour and a narrower window. And every weapon, from blaster to missile, had been upgraded with brand new Cornerian armaments. They all shone in the stark silver of their makeup, still awaiting a new layer of paint, yet still it was a marked improvement.

"Pretty good for a first attempt, isn't it? But, of course, I'm hoping my dear ol boy could help me out on the other two?!" he asked, excited by the prospect of further development. "You bet ya, Dad! Oh, I can't wait to get started! Willy and I have been taking notes on all sort of things we could improve..." Slippy began to say, as the father and son duo got quick to work, leaving the others to marvel at the ship before them.

"She's certainly something, isn't she? The old girl never looked better!" Dogstar exclaimed proudly, admiring his fateful ship's new look. "She certainly is!" Bucky said awestruck, now only imagining his own ship looking just as good. "We could really make a difference with these!" he said absentmindedly, thinking of the prospect of finally finishing the fight. "And we will, once the Indignation and the Mimi are up and ready, we'll take the fight right to the enemy!" Dogstar boasted loudly, looking forward to the endless possibilities ahead.

"It's a nice ship, alright!" Fox interrupted from behind them, "But it ain't going anywhere right now. So, what do you say if we take what little time we have before leaving and take a look around the place!" he suggested, sharing a smile with his fellow pilot. "Well, seems like everything is taken care of here," Bucky replied, looking at the two toads already hard at work. "And I supposed we have earned a little downtime." He said, looking at his crew mischievously. "What you say, gang! Who's ready to see what Corneria has to offer!" he cried out excitedly, as the rest of the crew cried out with a resounding 'Yeah!' as they happily made their way out of the hanger.

As they were starting to leave the base, they noticed a commotion by the entrance. Curiosity getting the better of them, they made their way towards it to investigate. Getting nearer, they could see two guards desperately trying to keep someone from getting inside. Rushing ahead, Fox decided to try to help the struggling guards.

"Wha's going on here?" Fox asked one of the guards as he approached. However, the intruder's voice rang out before he could get a chance to speak. "Let me through, I have to go check on my father! I know he's in there! Please!" the feminine voice said as she began to struggle once again, however, Fox recognized the voice.

And he wasn't the only one, as Peppy quickly rushed towards the guards. "Let her through gentlemen!" he cried, practically ordering them to stand down. Respectfully obeying, the soldiers move aside and let the stranger through. She was a pink hare wearing a two-tone yellow jumpsuit with a red scarf. Peppy quickly confirmed his suspicions, "Lucy!" he cried out happily. "Daddy! Is that you!" she cried out in relief, before rushing forward and embracing him in a tight hug.

"I was so worried about you! I wasn't sure if you had gotten out of there in time!" Peppy told her, tightening the hug as relief washed over his face. "I was worried about you! I heard what those things did in Fortuna, I was afraid you wouldn't make it back!" she replied, holding back tears. "We almost didn't! You can thank our new friends over there!" he said, pointing to the now-approaching Bucky and his friends.

"Relative of yours, Peppy?" Bucky asked once he got there. "Bucky, I'd like you to meet my daughter, Lucy Hare," Peppy said kindly, still holding on to his dear girl. She looked very much like her father but with a slender shape and light pink hair worn in a short pixie crop. "Nice to meet you, Lucy! Your father has been of great help during our time here." He said, holding his hand out for her to shake. Lucy took notice of the green-furred hare before her, staring him up and down before snapping out of it.

With a slight blush of embarrassment, she took his hand, "The pleasure is all mind, Bucky, was it?" she asked in reply, giving him a kind smile. "That's right mam. Captain Bucky O'Hare of the UAC at your service!" he introduced himself, giving him a friendly smile of his own. "The UAC? Oh, you must be one of those dimensional travelers they were talking about!" she responded excitedly, eager to meet him. "That's right, me and my crew over here come from the Genus sector of the Aniverse! Though, I'm surprised you've heard of us. I didn't think the news would spread so quickly." He told her, genially surprised with the situation.

"Lucy here teaches Astrophysics at the Cornerian City established on Fichina; she was called on when I told the General about your situation," Peppy explained to him, a look of pride in his eyes. "I'm also a pretty good pilot! Though I can't help but notice your wearing one of Dad's old flight suits. You must have made a good impression on him!" she said teasingly, knowing about her father's plan to retire. She was glad he had found a potential replacement, even if she was a little disappointed it would be her.

"Just a token of appreciation! My normal clothes were damaged during our last mission." Bucky assured her, guessing what she was thinking. He doubted Peppy hadn't told her about his plans. "Well, he deserved them, he has proven to be quite the pilot!" Peppy said aloud, patting him on the back. "In that case, we should go flying together. I'd love to see your moves," she said with a sly smile and half-lidded eyes.

"Well, I'm sure there be time for that on some other occasion! I believe Fox and the boys were gonna show them around the city! We should take the moment to catch up in the meantime." Peppy said, bumping into Bucky, before practically dragging Lucy away. Bucky just stared at them in confusion at the entire exchange. Behind him, most of his friends were barely containing their smiles, including team Star Fox.

"Right! Well, without any further distractions, how's about we head to the city!" Fox said, taking charge as he led them away from the base. "Didn't know you had it in ya, Capt!" Dead-Eye teased as he walked by him, further confusing the poor hare. "Have what in me?" he asked to no avail as he chased after him. Further back, Jenny had a word with Captain LaFloo, "Looks like you have competition." She teased the vixen with a smug smile before joining the others. Mimi just huffed at her with annoyance, before she and her team joined the others.

Getting an escort from General Pepper, the group was provided a vehicle for their trip. Cruising along the lengthy bridge connecting the base to the mainline, the crew where marveled at the sights before them. They could see the lovely green fields and the myriads of caves, stone arches, and creviced that had been carved by the rivers. The land seems pristine and largely untouched, surprising for such a heavily populated planet.

"Your home is beautiful, Fox!" Jenny spoke, breaking the silence as she admired the view. "It's so pristine while still developed! Truly a marvelous example of coexistence with nature," she added, impressed with such development. "Thank you! We Cornerians take pride in our environment, every building and every street was built in harmony with the natural shape of the land!" he told them proudly, calling attention to how every road was lifted to avoid disturbing the terrain while curving to match the natural bend of the land.

"Truly an example for all of us! Perhaps someday we can do the same with our homes." Bucky voiced, in deep admiration as he thought about the future. He thought to bring some of these ideas back to his home world of Warren; as well as Genus, seeing it as the perfect representation of what they fought for. "It's more than just that!" Slippy jumped in, taking him away from his thoughts.

"Many of the people here owe their existence to nature itself! Throughout history, Cornerians have used these rocky refuges to hide from their oppressors." Slippy told them, catching their attention. "In times of war, the citizens flee to the hills and huddle far beneath the ground, safe until the fighting ends, entire cities have been built in the larger cave systems to house the refugees!" Slippy explained excitedly, happy to relay some of their history with their friends. "When the war ends and the people return home, they call it "rocking out"!" Falco added, doing a little jig to the amusement of the others. Sharing a laugh, they carried on their way towards the towering city in the distance.

Finally, after a relatively short trip, they arrived at their destination, Corneria City! The central settlement of the residential population on Corneria and essentially the capital of the entire Lylat System. Corneria City is a vast area that stretches out across many landmasses. Home to the peaceful Cornerians, it is dotted with many tall skyscrapers and highways, and a big landing pad in the middle of the city. Filled with an assortment of happy citizens, enjoying the day and carrying on with their lives, unaware of the dangers beyond their borders.

Bucky was mesmerized by the sheer number of people inhabiting the city. A large portion of the populace was comprised of canines, foxes, and dogs populating the busy streets. But there were also a variety of other races living amongst them, cats and birds of all types, even toads peacefully mingling without strife. This was why they all fought so hard, so that people like this, the innocent and happy, could continue living free from the evils lying in wait. He was determined to protect these people, be it from aparoids or the empire, but for now, he would rest and enjoy their company.

"Ah, the big city! Just the place to stretch your legs after a long trip, amirite!" Fox said, taking a deep breath as the team finally set foot in the city. "You should have one hour before you're ready to leave." the driver told them as they all got out of the transport. "Affirmative, we'll be here in time. Thank you!" Jenny responded to him kindly, earning a small smile from the soldier's face.

Leaving them behind, the group ventured into the city, with team Star Fox leading. "SO, were we heading!?" Dead-Eye asked, intrigued as to where he was leading them. "Well, since we might not be back here for a while, I'm taking you to the one place where you can get a bit of everything quickly. The shopping district!" he exclaimed, eagerly gesturing at their destination.

All around them, various stores stood tall, buildings of all different classes. The district was filled with anything anyone could need from food to electronics. Enthusiastic street performers played in the corner, as the crowd gathered to listen and pay with eager smiles. Children ran around, flying toy ships with reckless abandon, while their parents watched behind them. People walked around making calls without a care as they enjoyed their day. Couples sitting down together in the local cafes, enjoying their time and charring laughs.

The number of people was almost disorienting, but the crew managed to keep pace without much trouble, taking in the joy all around them. It was a welcome change from the usual, a moment of respite and remembrance for what they fought for. For Willy, it was a pleasant reminder of home, a familiar sight of families enjoying their time together. It brought memories of good times past, he missed them, but he was confident he would return. For now, he would just make new memories with his new friends.

"So, were to first!" Willy asked Fox with excitement, ready to experience everything the place had to offer. " That's for you all to decide," Fox said, deciding the others should have a say, as he didn't really need anything right now. "In that case, I heard there is a special sale on the tech shop!" Slippy budded in quickly, eager to check it out. Exited at the prospect, Willy shouted, "Well, what are we waiting for!"

With a playful look, the others followed the tech heads, as they began their shopping trip. They looked on in amusement as Slippy and Willy dug through the various pieces of tech, excitedly moving on from aisle to aisle. After what seemed like hours, they finally left the store, with poor Bruiser having to hold onto the impressive haul. The boys shared a small laugh, which he instantly regretted as Mimi dragged them into a clothing store next. Now forced to hold their hauls of their own, as their female companions tried nearly everything in the story.

Seeing the perfect teasing opportunity, Captain LaFloo decided to try on some swimwear. Bucky dropped all his bags in surprise as the others gave him a knowing look. With his fur now more red than green, Bucky carried on with the others as they browsed around the many souvenir shops dotted around the place. Even Dead-Eye got into the fun, the old pirate getting a new cap to accompany his outfit. Then after de-escalation of a situation with Bruiser and some frightened civilians, much to Slippy's amusement, the group finally lay down for a rest.

So, sitting at one of the many outdoor tables of the local cafe, the team chatted amongst themselves while Fox got them some refreshments. "Here you go, sir! That'll be 28 credits!" the cashier said cheerfully, handing him his sizable order. "Here you go," Fox replied, handing her the dollar-like paper currency. Now all that was left was figuring how to tackle carrying everything. "That looks like a lot, need some help?" a voice came from behind him, as if answering his prayers. "Oh, yeah. Thank you..." Fox began, before looking at who it was.

Back with the others, they had long finished chatting and were now waiting for Fox to return. "What's taking him so long?" Falco asked in annoyance, leaning against his chair. "It was a pretty big order. Maybe someone should go check on him?" Willy asked, half focused on a new console in his hands. "Nah, I think I can see him right now," Falco responded, pointing towards the distant figure of their friend, not noting his companion.

Once he arrived, he set a tray down as everyone began taking their things. "Finally, what took you so long!" Falco asked, messing around with him as he picked up his drink. "Oh, you know. Just catching up to an old friend," he said, as his help finally made herself known. Standing before them was a female lynx with blue eyes and long eyelashes, wearing a purple jumpsuit with a cerulean scarf, a cocky smirk on her face, and several bags on her arms.

"Miyu!" Falco cried out after a sudden spit-take and some subsequent coughing. "Heya boys! Miss me?" the now-named Miyu responded, introducing herself to the full group. "Not really! But good to see you anyways" Falco said dismissively, although his smile confirmed he was joking. "Miss you too bird boy! Still as arrogant as always!" she said pleasantly before the two broke into laughter.

Witnessing the interesting display before them, Bucky was the first to ask, "Friend of yours?" before returning to his drink. "Ah yeah! Miyu Lynx, we went to the academy together. Flew together a while back too!" he told them, reminiscing on times gone by. "Yeah, we go way back! But where are my manners? Miyu Lynx, the pleasure is all yours!" she said cockily, her attitude showing a little.

"Nice to meet you, Miyu! Captain Bucky O'Hare of the UAC! This is my first mate Jenny, my gunner Dead-Eye, combat specialist Bruiser, and our engineer Willy!" Bucky introduced in quick succession, each saying hey as he did so. "Nice to meet you all! And you?" she asked Krystal, who had been watching everything go down with intrigue. "Oh, my name is Krystal. The newest member of Team Star Fox!" she told her. "Really! Did you know Fox here offered me and my pal Fay a spot on the team too!" she bragged, looking extremely proud of herself.

"You never told me that?!" Krystal asked amused, curious as to what else her team hadn't told her. "It was provisionary at best! She could be a little headstrong, even for us!" Fox commented back, knowing how to bring her back down a peg. "Hey! Not me fault you couldn't keep up with me! Besides, it was probably for the better! I wasn't a good fit for your team anyway." She told him, irritated but still friendly, she knew them long enough to joke around like this. "Sure, whatever you say Miyu.", Fox relented with a playful eyeroll, "But boy is it nice to see you again! How have you been! Still keeping tough with Fay I hope!?" he said, genuinely happy to meet her again.

"Hah, you better believe it! I'll say I'm doing quite well for myself! You're looking at the proud captain of Starlynx Squadron!" she said, radiating with confidence and pride. "You don't say. So, you have a team of your own now. Not surprising, you certainly have the skill for it." Fox told her, genially happy for her. "Thanks, that means a lot Fox," she told I'm, touched that he thought of her that way. It was obvious to anyone that despite her attitude, she really did think highly of her old friends.

"So, what's a big shot captain doing out here?" Falco decided to add, dampening the heartfelt, grinning as he leaned against his chair again. "Oh, just on a food run for the troops." She told them, showing the bags around her wrist, "Hey, you should meet my team! They're over by the CDF base!" she told them excitedly. "What a coincidence, we were heading there ourselves actually! In fact, I think we might want to get a move on if we want to make it in time!" Slippy chimed in, looking at his watch. "Well, you heard the toad everyone! Let's get a move on people!" Fox called out, calling everyone's attention as they all rushed towards the rendezvous point without a moment to waste, much to the bag carriers' chagrin.

Arriving at the designated area, the team eagerly put their things inside. "Made it back just in time!" their driver said, impressed with how many things they came back with, and amused at the state the boys were at. "Any more and we would've needed to call a new transport!" he said, entirely too amused with himself. He figured he too had earned some fun, especially with how long they had him waiting.

"Shame, seems like there's no place for one more." Miyu asked him, standing behind him and startling him a bit. "Miss Lynx! Course there's still room for you! I would be happy to take you back to the base!" he said in a hurry, franticly making room in the transport for the extra occupant. "Why thank you. Now step on it!" she ordered, lounging in the front passenger seat. "Right away!" responded the driver, rushing away at top speed.

Still disoriented by the course of the event, it wasn't until they were nearly halfway there that someone managed to ask what had just happened. "What was that, Miyu? Didn't expect you to have such a pull." Fox asked her, surprised and amused with her antics. "Well, I wish I could say it was just me! But it's probably more to do with my boss, really." Miyu admitted, scratching the back of her head.

"Oh, a boss? And here I thought you've become some sort of bigshot!" Fox teased her, not missing an opportunity to mess with his old teammate. "Yeah, yeah! Laugh it up! Not everyone can be as lucky as you! Somethings you need a little help." she told him, expecting this to happen. "I guess you're right! Is that why you're stationed on the base?" he asked her, wanting to know more as to what she had been up to the past few years.

"Well, if you must know, the boss is involved in the weapons and starship manufacturing business." she told him, looking smug with herself, " We actually met when we were assigned to help her test some top-line experimental gear! Witch we did flawlessly, by the way!" she bragged, proud of her accomplishments. "Must have been quite something!" Fox told her, genially impressed with what she had accomplished. "You bet it was! I actually can't wait for you to meet her. I hear you have some history!" she shot back at him, genially looking forward to this.

"Is that so? Huh, I wonder who it could be. Can't remember being involved with someone with that kind of pull?" Fox wondered aloud, curious as to who Miyu's benefactor could be. "Well, you won't have to wonder much longer! We're here!" she told him, pointing at the incoming gate.

Arriving back at the base, the group grabbed their belongings and approached the main building. "So, can we expect you to fly with us when the time comes? We'll need as much help as possible once we come back with the core." Fox asked, deciding to discuss some things along the way. "Oh, you just try to keep me grounded! Those aparoids won't know what hit'em!" replied Miyu confidently.

"Don't get too cocky. These things aren't pushovers, we barely managed to get away from them with our lives!" Bucky warned her, knowing the dangers of underestimating your enemies. "Yeah, I know. Yeesh, you sound like one of my teammates." She complained, relenting to his concerns. "Well, in that case, I say you have some very good wingmen by your side!" Fox told her gleefully, agreeing with Bucky's judgment.

"You bet I do! They're great, the best team I could've asked for!" Miyu responded with pride, clearly fond of her team. "Speaking of... HEY, OVER HERE!" she said suddenly, calling to a figure at the far side of the hanger bay. Looking towards, the figure's face lit up, "Miyu, your back!" she cried, running towards her at full speed. She rushed forward so fast that she nearly toppled her, narrowly stopping just in time.

Standing before them was a tall, white Cocker Spaniel with bright blue eyes, wearing a cerulean flight suit and a red bow atop her head. A chipper lock adorned her features as she greeted her teammate. "Hey Miyu, sure took you a will..." she began, before noting the present company. "Huh, Fox! What are you and the guys doing here!" she greeted them eagerly; her tail accented her feelings.

"Heya Fay! Long time no see, still as chipper as ever I see!" Fox greeted her with joy. "It's been forever! What've you been up to?! Oh, who are your new friends!" she asked in rapid suspension, not giving them time to answer. "Wait, don't tell me. Are you those dimensional travelers everybody's talking about!" she asked excitedly, answering her previous question on her own.

"Ah, yeah!? You've heard of us?" Bucky answered slowly, still trying to catch up with the energetic dog. "Of course, it's everything everyone has been talking about! Nice to meet you by the way!' she said, stretching her hand towards him. "Nice to meet you as well, Fay, right?" Bucky replied, shaking her hand. "Yep, Fay Spaniel at your service!" she answered joyfully. "Well, now that's over with, let's get inside. Wouldn't want to keep the boss waiting." Miyu intervened, holding out the bags she was carrying.

"Right! This way everyone!" Fay said gleefully, leading the others inside the building.

Leading them back to the hanger bay, the team was content to humor their new friend. Once they arrived, their attention was drawn to their ships, and the people standing before them. From the distance, they could see Beltino talking to someone, with two pilots watching near them, as several workers carried on around them.

Instantly locating the rest of her team, Fay called out, "Hey guys, food's here!" as the group casually made their way towards them. Grabbing their attention, the pilots looked in her direction. "Finally, what took you so long." One of them, an older-looking ewe, said as she walked towards them. "Sorry, ran into some old friends on my way back." Miyu apologized half-heartedly, gesturing to the group behind her. The rest of the team, including the person talking to Beltino, looked over to them curiously.

"You must be Miyu's team, nice to meet you all..." Fox began to introduce, before halting as he finally got a good look at the person in charge. A singular word escaped his lips as he looked eyes with the familiar figure,

"Fara?"

Author's Notes:

AH, DRAMA!

Well, things have certainly gotten interesting! This might be one of the longest chapters I've written, I'll be returning to the main story next time. However it might take a bit more time than usual, so in the meantime I would apreciate any contructive critisism you have to give me. Also, as you can see Miyu's team is indeed based on the concept characters for Star Fox 2, but I have kept the full members vague for a reason. As such I have a question for you all, should I include the human members as well, or should I replace them with someone else, and if so with what? Leave your response in the comments, I also plan to add more generic soldier characters in the future so if you would like to have an OC on the story, don't be afraid to ask!

Thanks for your patience, until next time!
