Chapter 8
Tim looked down at his phone. It was a text from Lucy. He opened his messenger app and read the bold words 911 followed by the coordinates of her phone. His heart dropped immediately. he knew that she was goingto ask Angela to go out with her. Tim had expected Angela to say no and that Lucy would have come home after work. He pulled up Wesley's number and pressed the dial button. He wasn't going to freak out until he knew Chen hadn't accidentally drunk dialed him again. He breathed slowly waiting for an answer.
"Hey Wesley is Chen with you? I know she was going to ask Angela to go out." his heart started pounding.
"No I'm at the office. I had to work on a case. I'll try to call and see where they have ended up."
Wesley hangs up the phone and calls Angela. One ring. Two rings. Three rings. Voicemail. That's not like Angela. She always answers the phone by the second ring. Especially if he was the one calling. Maybe she didn't hear it ring. Wherever she is may be too loud. But why would Tim call him? If Tim was worried it might be dialed her number again. One ring. Two rings. Three rings. Voicemail. He was getting worried now. He decided to call Tim back.
"Hey Angela isn't answering. Did Lucy call you?"
"No. Now I am worried. Angela always answers you. I got a text from Lucy it was a 911 and the coordinates to her phone. we added an app after we got together so if anything ever happend we could send a message. I thought she drunk text me. Something's up. Where did they go?"
"I have no clue. I just told Ang I had to work late and not to wait up. As far as I knew, she was going home after work."
"OK I'll head to the station and see if anyone knows where they were headed."
When Tim got to the station, he asked everyone he saw if they had seen either Angela or Lucy. No one could tell him where they went or the last time they had seen them. Ok now he was starting to worry. He shot a quick text to Wesley and went to find Gray.
Text from Tim Bradford:
Wesley, no one has seen or heard from Ang or Lucy. I am going to find Gray and loop him in. Something is wrong.
