Avenging Angel
Chapter 9
Tim walked up to the door of the watch commander's office. He knocked on the glass and Gray waved him in. Gray was finishing up on a phone call and Tim just stood and waited till he was finished. Gray put the phone down and looked at Tim warily.
"I know that face. What's wrong?", Gray asked gruffly.
"Lopez and Chen are missing.", he told him quiclkly.
"What? What's going on? When did you last hear from them?"
"I got a 911 message from Chen's phone and Wesley tried to call Lopez. Nothing from either. No one hear has seen or heard from them since shift ended. I know it isn't much to go on but I have the coordinates to her phone. I am headed there next."
"Let me know what you find. You know we can't do anything until 48 hours or there is evidence of a crime. Keep me in the loop."
Tim walked out of the Watch Command office and headed to his car. He pulled up the coordinates on his phone and started heading to her last location. Tim pulled up shortly after and saw Angela's car sitting on the curb with the driver and passenger side doors wide open. Tim quickly got out of the car and pulled his gun. He made his way to the car carefully and quickly. When he didn't see either woman, or signs of anyone else, he put his gun back in the holster and called Wesley immediately.
"Wesley I found Angela's car. It was parked on a curb with the doors open. They weren't in it."
"What?! Where are you I am on my way!"
Tim texted Wesley and put on a spare pair of gloves. He started to go through the car to find any evidence of what might have happend. When he didn't find anything useful he decided to go ahead and call Gray to tell him it looked like an abduction. Gray called him immediately and told him to hold the scene until he could get Nolan and Harper there. Nolan and Harper pulled up to the scene like bats out of hell.
"What's going on?," Nolan asked as he walked up to the scene.
"I see Angela's car and no Angela. What happened?" Harper asked quizically.
"We aren't sure yet, but Angela and Lucy are both missing and no one has seen or heard from them since the end of shift. "
"I walked out with Angela she was headed to her car when I left. Lucy was in the parking lot but I didn't see anything out of the ordinary." Harper explained.
"I know Lucy was planning on asking Angela to go out. She said she wanted to go to karaoke and didn't want to go alone."
"Ok so let's go check out the karaoke bar and see what they can tell us there." Harper said matter of factly.
After the day shift officers arrived to take over the scene, all three of them got into Tim's car and headed to the Karaoke club. They went in and started to talk to the patrons to find out any information they could on their whereabouts. No one had seen or heard from them since the bar had closed the previous night. The last sighting was the bartender who had seen them walking out the door with their bags in hand. Tim made a mental note of the bags. He hadn't found any bags in the car or near it. He pulled up his phone again and the phone had not recieved new coordinates to its location. Whoever had the phone had it turned off. Gray had sent a messge cofirming this suspicion. Both numbers were inactive and had not been turned on since the original 911 message had been sent. His mind drifted to Lucy and all he could think about was if she was ok.
