They say evil isn't born, it's made. So what made Bellatrix Black feel the need to be evil? Her family? The constant pressure? Or simply because she had the choice? What possesses a serial killer to keep killing? Sometimes, some people are so blinded by pain and trauma they inflict it on others.
Bellatrix, no matter how evil people viewed her, hated the way she was. The way she'd raise her wand because of something stupid. The way she envied anyone with a perfect family. So inflicting pain made her feel like she was whole. Bellatrix never thought she was born evil, she was just made that way. Sitting in detention for hexing someone was always long, especially since Lucius Malfoy was constantly looking at her. There was never anyone she didn't know in detention, most of them were like her. Constantly finding trouble.
The girl she was ignoring threw her a note when the professor wasn't looking. Bellatrix huffed and looked across at Rita. What were they, little girls? Curiosity got the better of her and she pulled open the letter.
Please can we talk??
No they couldn't talk. The memory of Rita's lips against hers never went away. Ingrained in her mind at every waking thought. Even in her dreams. She picked up her quill and scribbled down an answer.
My dorm, after dinner.
Bellatrix threw it back and ignored how the girl's captivating eyes lit up. Rita and Bellatrix had met on the train to Hogwarts in her first year. Her excitement was nauseating to Bellatrix but either way, she was a good enough friend to have. Now, she was a drug, she couldn't get her out of her head. How soft her lips felt against her own. That's what scared her most.
After dinner she pushed open her dorm to reveal Rita. Short blonde hair down and her glasses perched on the end of her nose. When her eyes met Bellatrix's she smiled. This couldn't happen between them. It's wrong and Bellatrix knew that. However when Rita moved closer chewing her lip, then she was willing to commit a sin again. One time couldn't hurt anyone, especially if no one knew about it.
Bellatrix grabbed her green tie and their lips crashed together once again. Rita's hand flew to her neck keeping her there. Scared she'll make her leave again. Bellatrix grabbed her waist pulling her as close as possible, until they were glued together. As Rita pulled away to breathe, Bellatrix's lips found the spot just below her ear.
"Bella, you said, this is so wrong." Bellatrix nipped that spot and Rita let out this sweet sound, leaning her head back.
"One night, no one can know, got it?" Bellatrix sounded just as breathless as Rita. She nodded and they met once again. Tongues dancing like there's no war, no pressure. Bellatrix pulled at the top button of Rita's top and she helped her.
It may be wrong to the world. However, in this moment everything was right. They did not regret that. So if it is a sin, then off to hell they go, happy. Because they're together.
Black roses. He got her black roses. Andromeda sat on her Slytherin bed, wishing she could disappear. Chocolate, black roses and a note left on her bed. How had he even gotten them in here! Hesitantly she picked up the note and read it slowly over and over again.
'Think of these as a sorry. Unless you want to kiss me again, then it's more of me asking you to Hogsmeade. I hope you like the chocolate's because I didn't know which ones you'd like. See you in class Black.
Ted x'
Andromeda couldn't contain the smile that tugged at her lips. No one had ever gotten her flowers. Opening the chocolates and placing one in her mouth, she pulled out her charms homework. She didn't know if it was worth it. Was he worth it? Right then she had to bump up her grades. She couldn't fail the next homework assignment.
Creaking open she's met with familiar blonde hair and bright smile she's had since she was a kid. Narcissa took one look at the flowers and chocolate and smirked. Grabbing the flowers from the vase currently on the windowsill she replaced them with the black roses.
"Wow, Andy, secret admirer?" She teased jumping on her bed, swiping a chocolate. Narcissa popped it in her mouth and groaned. "This is good chocolate." She glanced at her and then groaned again, pulling the homework from her hands.
"Hey! Cissa give it back to me." Andromeda snatched it back and huffed.
"Fine, whatever. I'll leave you to study. I just came to get my book." Narcissa stood brushing her skirt off and grabbed her book from her side. Blowing her a kiss she left for her dorm.
Andromeda was so close to being late to charms after staying up the whole night to finish her homework. Luckily she just made it, throwing down her bag and sitting at the end with him. He looked her over once and frowned.
"You look like hell," He said as he handed his homework over. Doing the same she scoffs and grabs her textbooks. "Did you at least like the chocolates?" Ted's lips started to smile and I can't help but smile back.
He started writing but she noticed how his eyes found her page. She tried so hard to concentrate but it was hard with his constant glances.
"Stop it!" Andromeda growled at Ted next to her. He held up his hands and smiled. She huffed and turned her attention back to the professor. Then she felt his thumb brush the corner of her mouth and she jumped.
"Chocolate." Ted smiled and licked it off his finger. Merlin's beard, she felt the blush rising up her neck. Andromeda spent the rest of the class scribbling notes and she even let her gaze wander to him sometimes. When he writes his left foot taps and he drums his fingers against the desk.
The end of the lesson finally came around and the professor handed around the homework, marked. Ted got an O like usual but she felt her chest squeezing. Her hand began to shake as she tried to concentrate on breathing. P...she got a P. Her eyes stung and she rubbed them. Then someone grabbed her wrist and interlocked their fingers.
Ted took the piece of paper and ripped it up. The class was beginning to pack away but she was just biting her lip so hard it may bleed. No one can see her cry, it was a family rule. As soon as they were dismissed she bolted out of there. Potions, she just needed to get to potions. Then someone grabbed her wrist, tugging her into a broom closet.
"Hey! What the–" Ted covered her mouth and smiled.
"Just me, hey it's me." He pulled away his hand and took her bag, placing it down on the floor. Raising his wand and casting a silencing charm he leaned against the door. "Let it out."
As if on cue all the weight lifted as she cried, bringing a hand to her face. His arms encircled her waist pulling her head to the crook of his neck. After her crying subsided she just sniffed and wiped her eyes. Ted kept his arms around her, one hand tracing circles across her back.
"Yes," She croaked, ignoring how her voice sounded. He pulled away to brush her cheeks and frowned.
"Yes what?" His other hand was still placed perfectly on her waist. Maybe he was worth it after all.
"Yes, I'll go to Hogsmeade with you." His face lit up and he grins.
"Really?" She nodded and suddenly was met with his lips. Andromeda squealed a little before kissing back finally. Ted just laughed. "Merlin, you're amazing."
He was worth it to her. The risk. Everything. Bellatrix and Andromeda both risked everything over a person. Narcissa would soon follow. This could ruin them all in very different ways. Though it was all worth it.
