Miraculous: Rise of the Dark Moth

Chapter 13: Epilogue

Synopsis: "As the war was over by defeating Dark Moth and the Akuma Army, Ladybug, Cat Noir, Team Miraculous and the Resistance join together to rebuild Paris back to how it was before. However, Paint le Panda plans to make his goodbye after all he's done for Paris and his friends."

The sun begins to rise over the horizon as everyone gathers around the Eiffel Tower celebrating their victory over the Akuma Army now that the war was over. However, Paint le Panda looks down until Cat Noir puts an arm around his shoulder. "Hey buddy bear, what's wrong?" Cat Noir asked.

"Nothing... nothing's wrong." Paint replied. "C'mon, you should be happy. We won the war!" Cat Noir shouted. "Yeah, Cat. But, I think maybe it's best we said our good—"

"Okay everybody. It's time we clean up the mess that Dark Moth had left behind, and I'm not talking about the illusions he created for us. We need to fix the real world we live in." Ladybug said to the Resistance and Team Miraculous who nod in agreement with her. "True dat, Bugaboo." Cat Noir said until Ladybug turns to him with an unamused look.

"Last time, I swear." He said until Ladybug ruffled his hair, and Paint Panda starts to chin up. "C'mon, let's go!" She shouted as Precious Wings by Tayana Ali from The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland plays. (https/m./watch?v=JRWCALNJpFo)

Ladybug was going to use a Lucky Charm and her Miraculous Ladybug to fix all the damage that Dark Moth and his Akuma Army caused, but she thought it's better everyone chipped in to fix Paris together.

Everyone then start to rebuild Paris from the damages that the battle had created. Chloe Bourgeois was disliking having to do hard work, but Marinette offers to help her rival, and Adrien smiles to see them get along. Alya Cesaire then returns home with Nino Lahiffe to her big sister, Nora and her little sisters, Ella and Etta Césaire who were happy to see Alya again.

Marinette heads home to the bakery as her parents, Tom and Sabine were glad to see their daughter was okay. She explains that she was hiding from the war. Chloe and Lila then come at the door as they apologize for the trouble they caused her, and Marinette accepted their apologies.

At the park, the Miraculous heroes show up at the unveiling to see Theo the sculptor's new statue of heroes who had saved Paris from the Akuma Army. This time, the statue included Paint le Panda so they won't forget who fought beside Ladybug and Cat Noir.

Marinette then goes to the Seine river as she was walking with Alya. There, they met up with Rose, Alix, Juleka and Mylene who Alya told them that Marinette finally had the courage to ask Adrien out during the Akuma Wars.

Sabrina Raincomprix overhear this, and Chloe's best friend was happy for Marinette. "She did it!" She shouted as Chloe becomes shocked at this. "WHAT?! After all I did to get everyone to love me... I mean, trust me again?! Even help Dupain-Cheng?! Ridiculous! Utterly ridiculous! I'm so out of here!" Chloe shouted and stormed off.

Elsewhere, Paint le Panda hides so he can de-transform. "Paint thinner." He said changing back to P.J. and he holds Inky in his hands as they both look sad. "Master, it's all over. Where do we go from here?" Inky asked. "I have to keep my promise. I gotta heal Adrien's mother at the mansion." P.J. said to my kwami.

"Yes. You do." Gabriel said from behind as P.J. turned around to see him and Adrien approach. "Shall we go? We'll drive you there." Adrien offered a ride in the car as they were going to head back to the Agreste Mansion, and the Gorilla was honking the horn so they could go. "You two go on ahead. I'll catch up with you." P.J. said as he starts to follow Marinette to where Fu was meditating.

Master Fu was proud to be with Wayzz again, for a while as Marinette comes into his shop. "Master... P.J.'s coming, and I finally got both the Peacock and Butterfly Miraculous." Marinette said. "Good work, Ladybug." Fu said as she returns the Miraculouses to him, including the Butterfly and Peacock Miraculous, and they all go back into the Miracle Box. The other Kwamis then began to give Nooroo and Duusu a group hug for their reunion. "Hello everyone." Nooroo said. "It's been a while." Duusu chuckled. "Guess you'll go back to being Guardian?" She asked.

"About that..." Fu said looking down. "The effects of how your friend restored his memory were temporary." Wayzz replied. "What?" Marinette asked. "So, he lost his memory again?" Tikki asked. "Afraid so. I will be leaving Paris, again... And I'm too old to be Guardian again." Fu said closing his eyes. "Still, you made a good guardian than Fu did since the Akuma Wars." Fu spoke to Marinette as she smiled. "Are we interrupting you?" P.J. asked knocking, before entering the room. "Of course not, P.J." Marinette said.

"Fu, Wayzz, everyone, meet Inky..." P.J, enter the introduced to his kwami, Inky the Panda Bear, who hides behind his head and comes out. "Inky's a little shy, so... yeah." Tikki said giving Inky a little push to talk with the other kwamis. P.J. then whispers into Marinette's ear. "It's time."

Marinette and P.J. come to the repository underneath the Agreste Mansion, and P.J. began to keep his promise as he took out a Fairy in a bottle. He begin to use that fairy to restore the comatose Emilie Agreste as the coffin began to open. Adrien then approaches the coffin and began to sing their lullaby. (https/m./watch?v=ZmZMMSDx3Yg)

"Take a melody. Simple as can be. Give it some words and sweet harmony." Adrien sung as Emilie Agreste began to wake up and join Adrien to Gabriel's surprise. "Raise your voices all day long now, love grows strong now. Sing a melody of love, oh love." They both sung as Adrien was in tears. "Mum, you're back!" Adrien shouted as he hugged his mother, and Gabriel joins in, happy to see the love of his life again. P.J. smile and shed a tear under my sunglasses, and so does Nathalie, Adrien's bodyguard and Marinette.

"Thank you." Adrien said to P.J., but he was nowhere as everyone was then looking for him. "Where'd P.J. go?" Marinette asked. "We better find him, milady before our big date." Adrien said to Marinette. "You be careful out there, my son." Gabriel spoke. "And as for you, make sure he's back before dark." He said to Marinette.

"Oh Gabby, you worry too much. Children need to be free to live their own lives." Emilie said as Gabriel looked away, blushing by that nickname. "I suppose you're right... I guess there's one problem left." Gabriel said looking down. "Huh?" Emilie asked. "What is that?" Nathalie asked. "How much I'm going to miss him, if I wasn't here anymore..." Gabriel replied as he and Emilie hugged. "I could still feel his presence out there... Dark Mills must never return... to wreak havoc on our family."

Marinette and Adrien then go somewhere in the mansion for them to transform. Their respective kwamis then come out. "Isn't that better for an ending? Adrien got his mom back..." Plagg said. "And Marinette finally gets to go out with Adrien." Tikki said. "Now we just need to find P.J." Marinette said. "Agreed."

"Tikki, Spots on! Ha!" Marinette shouted transforming into Ladybug as Tikki warped into her earrings. "Plagg, Claws Out!" Adrien shouted transforming into Cat Noir with Plagg warping into his cat ring. They leave the mansion to search for P.J.

Paint le Panda was at the rooftop of the Tom and Sabine Boulangerie Patisserie, the home of Ladybug aka Marinette Dupain Cheng. He was looking at the Eiffel Tower and began to let out a sigh of sadness. Ladybug and Cat Noir then appear behind him. "Paint le Panda, there you are!" Ladybug shouted as she puts her yo-yo back around her waist. "We were looking for you, buddy." Cat Noir as he turn his head towards them with a sad look. "Hey guys."

Ladybug and Cat Noir noticed my sad expression as they go to comfort me. "Hey, what's wrong, P.J.?" Ladybug asked. "C'mon buddy bear, cheer up. We defeated your dark side, saved Paris and you even brought us and a family together. You should be proud. Everyone got their earned happy ending." Cat Noir stated as Pollyanna - I Believe in You from Earthbound Zero/Mother plays. (https/m./watch?v=vBbRJoHTJAM)

"I know, I should be happy, but it's so hard to be when the story's reached the epilogue." Paint spoke. "I'm going to be leaving soon. Besides, I don't want you guys to be split apart, or akumatized because of me. That mess with Dark Mills. Who knows if that's going to start again." Paint Panda said looking up at the sky.

"I never thought of that." Ladybug spoke from her point of view. "Still, something tells me he's still out there..." Paint Panda said. "If he does come back to cause trouble in Paris..." Ladybug said. "We'll be ready." Cat Noir said making Paint Panda smile. "Also, we won't forget about you, or what you done for all of Paris, buddy." Cat Noir said. "Thanks kitty." Paint said to Cat Noir as he turns around to Ladybug.

"I guess this is goodbye." Paint Panda said. "I suppose so. Even though we'll never meet again, we will never forget each other." Ladybug said. "Yeah, I heard that quote before somewhere, Marinette." Paint Panda said, bringing up Ladybug's real name as he gives her a hand, and we shake hands. "So... Thank you, P.J., Paint le Panda, for everything you did for us." Said Ladybug sadly as he pulled her in for a good-bye hug. "Goodbye, Marinette. I'll never, ever forget you or Team Miraculous either." Paint Panda said shedding tears. Cat Noir looks on, sadly.

"I'll be sure to tell everyone the news." Ladybug said as we release each other from the embrace. "One last one for the road?" Cat Noir asked to give out a fist bump. "Pound it!" They shouted as Paint le Panda leaps off the roof and flies off with his Rocket Boots. "Well, I gotta go to, Milady. See you at the school dance." Cat Noir said as he leaves the rooftop of the bakery.

"Tikki, spots off." Ladybug said as she de-transforms into Marinette and Tikki comes to her, and comforts her. "Hey guys." P.J. said behind Marinette and Tikki and they turn to see him and Inky. "P.J.?" Marinette asked in shock. "But, we thought you already left." Tikki spoke. "Yeah, well, Paint le Panda said his goodbye. Now it's P.J.'s turn, me and Inky." P.J. said. "Okay. Come here." Marinette said opening her arms wide for a hug, and he hugs her.

"Inky, before we say our goodbyes, maybe the rest of the kwamis would like to see..." Tikki said until he was hugged by the Panda Bear kwami. "I'm going to miss you too." She said, hugging Inky back. "Same here, Bugsy." Inky said as we continued to hug each other, and we stop the embraces. "Goodbye Marinette." P.J. said as he boards his Hoverboard and leave with Inky who waves at the two before following. Marinette and Tikki wave to see them leave.

The day passes to the night as everyone gathers at the school for the school dance as Marinette tells everyone what happened to P.J. "What? What do you mean P.J. just left?" Alya asked. "He had to go back home, Alya. He was away from home too long." Marinette explained. "His parents must be worried about him after what happened." Nino stated.

"Still, despite everything that happened. He was a good student body president and a hero through and through." Rose said. "A friend through thick and thin." Juleka stated. "And thin and thinner." Alix added. "If he's still out there, I hope he finds his friend out there." Max said. "Hey everyone..." Chloe spoke as she came in with Sabrina. "Hey Chloe. Still looking for a date to the dance?" Marinette asked.

"I was hoping for Adrikins to come to me, but he's yours, not mine." Chloe said. "We might've overheard... everything." Sabrina stated. "Well Chloe, you can dance with me." Kim said as Chloe sighed. "Like I have a choice." Chloe said in defeat. "Speaking of Adrien, where is he?" Ivan asked. "There he is." Mylene pointed seeing Adrien come to the school wearing a tuxedo. "Adrien, you gook lood... I mean, you look hood... I mean, look good." Marinette said stuttering. "You look beautiful too, milady." Adrien said smiling at her.

"Alright everybody. Grab your dance partner, and let's get ready to boogie!" Nino shouted at the turn tables as he plays this song (https/m./watch?v=j4asUD0Ip5c) for the school dance. "This is for the school dance, and for the Miraculous heroes, Ladybug and Cat Noir, wherever they are!" Nino shouted out.

Adrien dances with Marinette as the ending credits plays. "I'll catch you whenever you fall, milady." Adrien whispered. "Thanks, kitty." Marinette whispered smiling.

Meanwhile, Tikki and Plagg enter the kwami realm with multiple kwamis such as Trixx, Wayzz, Pollen, Xuppu, Kaalki, Fluff, and others. This time joined by Duusu and Nooroo and the two of them introduce them to Inky, as the kwamis of America join the party. During the song, Jagged Stone plays along with Anarka Couffaine, his ex-love.

Wang Fu and P.J. then watch Marinette and her friends dance from a distance and P.J. smile to see that Team Miraculous, even Gabriel Agreste and Emilie Agreste got to have a happily ever after in the end.

Post-Credits Scenes

1. A train stops at the subway in Paris, and out came a teenage girl with wheat-golden hair and hot pink strands. Her name was Zoé Lee, the half-sister of Chloe Bourgeois, and stepdaughter of Andre and Audrey Bougeois. "So, this is Paris... Can't wait to see how my half-sister, Crazy Chloe's doing." She said as she leaves the subway and walks into the camera.

2. The camera pans down to the Catacombs of Paris, and a hand comes out of the ground, and out of it came Dark Mills, but his appearance had changed. "Darky's back, Ladybug and Cat Noir. I'll have my revenge, and as for you, Hawk Moo... I'll see to it that your future is set in stone as I take your life and then..." He smiled with a wide evil smile as he takes off his sunglasses, revealing his demonic eyes as they began to gleam. "You can... never... come back..." He said with a demonic, deep voice.

Fade to black as his eyes were glowing, and his evil laugh is heard echoing and fading.
