Chapter 3 Father knows best
While Moxxie planned to tell his papa Valatino about his plans to leave the tower to see the "Stars" three figures slid down the rooftops of the tall buildings and jumped onto the other roof. The first theif was the female imp from the poster Jessie James as she expertly lept from roof to roof while the other two were also females like her, one a humanoid doll like sinner that was as big as a child but was an adult named Baby Doll, while the other was a fallen angel Cherub named Deerie as the theifs left from roof to roof quietly with out being caught by the guards.
They had one job in mind and that was to steal the necklace and that was what hey were gonna do. Jessie looked down to check if it was safe until she looked at the great view as she grinned big "Wow…I can get use to a view like this" she said "Jess come on!" Yelled Baby doll as Deerie tried to lift the grate so that they can get the drop on the necklace "Hold on now, yep I am use to it I want my own castle or tower" she said "You can buy your own tower once we do the job!" Snapped Baby doll annoyed as she grabbed her by the tail to the grate.
Meanwhile in the room there was a necklace in a glass case covered in precious gems that was being guarded by Chaz Thurman as above Jessie was being lowered by Baby Doll and Deerie by a rope around her waist as she got lowered to the necklace she lifted the case carefully and took it just as Chaz sneezed.
"Bless you" she said politely "Thank you" said Chaz not realizing who spoke it "Hay fever?" "Yeah it gets really bad around Th…" he stopped realizing he had no idea who he was talking to and turned and saw a grinning Jessie holding the necklace at him "Huh?" He wondered as Soon Jessie was pulled through the roof "Wait? What hay? Everyone the necklace was stolen!" He yelled running to get help.
Later Jessie, Baby Doll and Deerie ran across the bridge to get away before the guards could get them "Can you picture me with a building of my own? Because I certainly can and it is amazing" she said "All the amazing things we have seen and its only 8:00 in the morning! Ladies this is a very big day" she said as the ladies kept running straight into the forest away from the castle knowing well the guards will chase after them, including the captain Alfonso's Shinny Galarian Rapidash Celeste.
Back at the tower Moxxie was putting away the paints as he turned to Chery and Angel dust "Well today is the day I am gonna do it, I will ask him" said Moxxie "you can do it little bro" said Cherry "Yeah just take a breath and you can do it" said Angel dust happy that Moxxie is gonna ask Val to go see the stars.
Valatinos voice: Moxxie!
Moxxie gasped in amazement realizing it was his 'papa'
Valatinos voice: Let down your hair!
"Its time, Cherry, Angel hide both of you" he said as the two sinners nodded and shrank down and hid out of sight in Moxxie room
Valatinos voice: Mox! I am not getting any younger down here
He yelled as Moxxie ran over to the window "Coming papa!" He called out as he put his hair on a hook and sent it down to Valatino like a long rope as Valatino looped it around his foot and held on as he was lifted up into the tower "Hi there papa" said Moxxie once Valatino was in the tower "Welcome home papa" said Moxxie as Valatino got dramatic as he sighed in relief and false amazement "Oh Moxxie babe, how you managed to do that every single day without fail dispite your small size! It looks absolutely exhasting darling" he said as Moxxie smiled sheepishly "Oh its nothing papa" he said "then I do not know why it takes so long" he said as Moxxie had a look of hurt as he then felt Valatino ruffle his head with his lower arms "Oh I tease I tease babe" he said causing Moxxie to laugh a bit as he took a breath ready to tell Valatino. "Ok so, papa as you know tommorwo is a very big day…" he started as Valatino looked into the mirror and then put Moxxie beside him as he interrupted him
"Moxxie, look in that mirror, you know what I see? I see a strong, confident handsome young man" he said as Moxxie smiled thinking he was talking about him…until Valatino said "Oh look your here too" he said with a chuckle as Moxie looked hurt at those words as Valatino laughed again "I'm teasing! Stop taking everything so seriously" he said chuckling as Moxie shook it off "Okay" he said softly as Valatino continued to examine himself in the mirror "So papa as I was saying tommoriw…" started Moxxie as Valatino saw a wrinkle forming near his eyes as he felt a slight pudge forming on his stomach and a snug on his glove as he interrupted Moxxie "Moxxie, fathers feeling a little run-down, would you sing for me dear? That will do" he said as Moxxie perked up "Oh! Of course papa" he said as he grabbed a chair and set it down and seated Valatino who was holding a hairbrush in his hand grabbed a small stool for himself and and sat on it as he began to sing quickly.
Moxxie (Quickly: Flower gleam and glow
Let your power shine make the clock reverse
Moxxies hair started to glow as Valatino panicked as he felt his cheeks chub a bit and deeper wrinkles form as it wants noticed "Wait wait!"
Bring back what once was mine
Heal what has been hurt change the fates design
Valatino began to brush Moxxie hair as quick as possible

Luckily Valatino managed to absorb a burst of the power as his youth returned as he gave a look "Moxxie!" He said in annoyance as Moxxie got close to his face "So Papa, earlier I was saying tommorows a pretty big day and you didnt really respond so I'm just gonna tell you…its my birthday! Tada" he said excitedly "No, no no" he said hoping that Moxxie was kidding and knew he will be persistent to go out "Cant be I distinctly remember your birthday was last year" he said "That's the funny thing about birthdays *Sheepishly grin* they're kind of a annual thing!" Said Moxxie as he sat down and sighed "Um papa, I am turning 20 and I wanted to ask, uh what I really want for this birthday…*Mumblevoice* actually what I really want for my birth…" he started
"Oh Moxxie babe please, stop with the mumbling you know how I feel about the mumbling blah blah blah just rambling like its nothing" he said ash he waved his four hands "Its very annoying *Grins* just teasing baby you're really adorable I love you so much hun" said Valatino as Cherry and Angel dust secretly gestured to Moxxie behind a curtain to tell Valatino what he wanted.
"I want to see the floating lights" said Moxxie as Valatino was putting away some fruit in a basket as he stifled but faked laughed "What?" He asked "Well…*unvails the painting of himself watching the floating stars* I was hoping you would take me to see the floating lights" said Moxxie "Oh you mean the stars" said Valatino as Moxxie shook his head "That's the thing *Uses his hair to pull open a window to reveal a painting of the moon patterns, the stars and various constelations* I charted the stars they're always constant, but these…they appear every year on my birthday, papa only on my birthday, and I cant help but feel like they're…there'e meant for me, I need to see them papa, and not just from my window but in person, I have to know what they are" he said
Valatino knows if Moxxie has a taste of the outside he won't want to come back an what was worst if what if it is learned he is the lost heir to Crimson and Emerald and he learns of his true origins, but he got an idea "You want to go outside? *chuckles* why Moxxie dear" he started as he shut the curtains as he begins to sing.
Valatino: Look at you as fragile as a flower

"But…" started Moxxie but Valatino just interrupted him by pressing a finger to Moxxie lips.

As Valatino sang he tapped a part of the wall to make the tower grow dark as Moxxie lite a candle as Valatino sang to scare poor Moxxie out of his wits so that he will stay.

Its a scary world out there *as he sang he made gestures as Moxxie yelped as he felt his hair tugged as he pulled it back breathing scared*

At that last part Valatino held a lantern to his face as Moxxie yipped "NO Please!" Cried Moxxie "Yes" said Valatino "But…" started Moxxie as Valatino smirked.

Valatino then spread his wings out

With a air flourish Valatino twirled on the stairs putting out the candles as Moxxie tried to light them up again but Valatino just put them out one by one as he took the last nail to keep Moxxie in this tower permanently.

Valatino then used a mirror to point out Moxxie flaws

Clumsy (Trips Moxxie who falls into his hair)

A spot light shines on Valatino as Moxxie got up and ran over hugging his 'father' "Moxxie?" Asked Valatino "Yes?" The little imp asked as Valatino got a serious scary face as he said to Moxxie in a dark threatening tone "Dont ever ask to leave this tower again" he said as Moxxie sighed in defeat and leaned into his father "Yes Papa" he said as Valatino secretly grinned now he has Moxie in his hands again "I love you very much dear" he said rubbing into Moxxie hair "I Love you more papa" he said "I love you most" said Valatino as he kissed Moxxie on the forehead.
Valatino: Dont forget it
*Taps Moxxies nose* you'll regret it

A moment later Valatino slid down Moxxie hair as he called out "Ta-ta Moxxie dear, I'll see you in a bit my flower" he asaid as Moxxie sadly waved "Yeah and I'll be here waiting" he said as he leaned against the window still with a sad sigh
Authors note: Poor Moxxie being trapped in his tower by Valatinos lies but you know what they say about lies, they always unravel eventually.
Next chapter Jessie after ditching her companions and getting a run in with Celeste she winds up finding the tower where Moxxie is and ends up meeting the little imp with long hair.
