"Take a week off," Max says suddenly, Adam squinting at him from where he's laying in bed next to him.
"Excuse me?"
"You heard me," he says, tracing circles against Adam's hip. "You've been traveling a lot, and it's worn you down. Just... stay here this week. Tony can figure it out, hell who knows maybe Wardlow will say something interesting for once." He leans up and examines Adam before deciding to bring out the big guns. "Besides, I'm kind of worried, baybay. You haven't been yourself the last couple of weeks."
Adam huffs, shaking his head. "There's nothing to be worried about," he insists. "I'm fine. I wanna go-"
"Do you? Really?" Max asks, teasing him by nuzzling up his jaw, kissing below his ear. "Really?" He continues to mouth at Adam's throat and jaw until he melts, smirking against him as he lets out a shuddering exhale.
"You don't play fair," Adam sighs, tangling his fingers in Max's messy hair and tilting his head back to give Max more room.
"Why start now," Max giggles a little bit, trailing kisses over to press into Adam's mouth. "C'mon, stay home with me. Play hooky. I've got the week off since finishing that movie, I'll treat you really nice if you do." He flutters his eyelashes teasingly at Adam, making him laugh.
Adam huffs and looks at him fondly. "As if there's any other way," he muses. "Fine, say I agree to this. What exactly does this 'treating me really nice' look like?"
"Hmm, breakfast in bed," he says slowly. "There's a chance ol' Maxy got his hands on that video game you were talking about that doesn't come out for months..." He taps Adam on the nose, winking at him. "No streaming it though, or talking about it to your little followers, or my sources may dry up..." He hums, sitting back. "Then I guess delivery from that place across town you like so much, and..." His hand teases down Adam's sternum, quirking an eyebrow at him. "Dessert. Maybe. if you're good."
Adam chuckles, fingers trailing down Max's wrist to lace their fingers together, exhaling slowly as Max lazily begins teasing him again. "All of that, huh? Well, how could I possibly say no?"
Max's grin is quick and bright as the sun. "Exactly."
"Alright," he says, settling back against the pillows and watching Max through half-lidded eyes. " I'll stay home and play hooky with you."
