A/N: Part 2 of the update and it's another 10000 word one. Now we get to see the majority of Ryuko's remaining staff and two of the initial girls for the harem. I admit that I had to change a number of things from canon around but this is fanfiction and that stuff happen all the time. Also I get to introduce someone who I always plan on being in this story, I just couldn't find the right time to put them in still now because I feel that she and Ryuko would have a good dynamic.
On one more note, I want you consider probability. What were the odds that in a city as big (as it is described) Musutafu that Izuku would run into the Slime Villain, someone who was getting tracked by All Might himself, and All Might just so happen to come across the Slime Villain just as he was about to take over Izuku? MHA already starts off with something as extreme as that happening and it just goes from there.
Chapter 14
Introductions and Number Seven
If a dragon gives you a warning, heed the damn warning.
-Unknown
" How are you doing, kid?", Hunluan asks as Izuku sat down back in the Ryukyu Agency's car, the disemboweled head of his chaotic side floating on his right side
" I'm great! Actually, I'm better than great! I finally got to use my quirk and actually be conscious for it!", came the response from the giddy boy.
" Well, I guess as long as you are happy that is what matters", Nefer states as her own head floats in front of him.
" Still though, you shouldn't be feeling all happy and stuff. You almost died in case you forgot. If it wasn't for dragon lady stepping in you be a pancake right now", Hunluan reminds Izuku.
" Oh trust me, terror is mix in with my excitement! But Ryukyu saved me so its all good! And she was amazing with her wings spread out and her tail trashing the ground right before she leapt at villain lady!", Izuku thought as how he remember how awestruck he was looking up at her while flat on in his back.
Speaking of which, he was also still trying to wrap his mind around how he had to share his mind with the copper dragon.
He was in control but then again, he was not during all that. He would decide but then the dragon side would do it in a way that best suited him. The same goal was accomplished, to survive, but in a different way than what the "Izuku" side of would have done.
And he actually found the puns he was making pretty funny.
All and all this has been one crazy morning and hopefully his mom would not be too smothering when he got home.
It did take a lot of convincing on his part just to keep her from coming to get him and taking him straight home. If it was not for the fact that he told her that it was all his fault for getting out of the car despite being told by Ms. Higa not too, she probably be pulling up to the market right now with rivers of tears pouring out her eyes right before she engulf him in a bone-breaking hug and dragging him back to the apartment.
Anymore thought on this matter were push to the back of his mind when the door to the car open and Ryuko enter the vehicle.
"Midoriya, we need to talk", she says in a tone that suggests that Izuku was not going to like the conversation.
"Yes, Ryukyu?", he says.
"Takako told me how she told you to stay in the car yet you disobey her", she says, fixing him with an emotionless stare.
"Oh, sorry about that", Izuku says.
"I need you to realize that if any member of my staff gives you an order that pertains to your safety, it would be in your best interest to obey it for your well-being comes first", Ryuko kept speaking.
"Will do, Ryukyu. I won't disobey any orders from you or your staff again", Izuku promises.
"Good, though while we're on the subject, why did you get out of the car? With your improve eyesight you should have been able to see everything from way over here", Ryuko asks.
The teenage boy's cheeks instantly redden and this gets a raised eyebrow out of Ryuko.
" Yeah, Izuku. Why did you get out of the car?", Hunluan says with a shit-eating grin on her face as she floats right next to the Pro Hero while Nefer merely shook her head at her chaotic counterpart's antics.
"W-Well, I have never seen you in action before, especially in your dragon form, and it was you first time using it in two years so I wanted to see it first-hand if possible. I felt it wouldn't do you justice if I saw it from behind a car's window", Izuku states.
"Oh", Ryuko says as she remembers what Yui told her, "And how was it seeing it for the first time?"
"You were absolutely amazing! Breathtaking even! You completely dominated those villains out there! You were like an angel of war and everything they threw at you merely delayed your inevitable victory! You move around with such grace despite being so large that you're like a figure-skater and you can instantly go from calm and collected to savage and bestial at the drop of a hat if the situation calls for it!", Izuku suddenly explodes, catching Ryuko off-guard with his energy.
….
"Okay", Ryuko merely says before opening the door and stepping out, "Anyway, due to circumstances I'm going to have to cut today's training short and take you home. Also, we will have to push your training back a month."
"What?", Izuku cries, his ecstatic mood instantly deflating, "Is it because of what I did?!"
"It is not", Ryuko assures him, "But it seems that my staff and I need more time to prepare in order to properly deal with your evolving quirk. We're taking you by the agency to meet and greet everyone but afterwards you're heading home."
Izuku lets out a breath, "Okay."
"Also, just between you and me, my staff and I were preparing to deal with your first dragon form, but this new form-", Ryuko starts.
"White dragon", Izuku says.
"I beg your pardon?", Ryuko says as her eyes slightly widen in surprise.
"My first form is a white dragon and the second one is a copper dragon", Izuku says.
….
…..
"I see, white dragon and copper dragon it is then", Ryuko says after a moment with a slight tone of uncertainty, "We'll be leaving soon so please don't go anywhere."
"Okay Ryukyu", Izuku says in a dejected tone. He was really looking forward to training.
"Oh, and Midoriya?", Ryuko says.
"Yes?", came the response.
"You…..You did good today all things consider and I want you to know that", Ryuko starts to say, "Most people with a quirk like yours would have more than likely have try to fight that woman and just would have got injured or killed in the process but you were smart enough to just evade and dodge, thus keeping her busy until I was able to handle her. That shows that you have a clear and level head, which is what a good Pro Hero needs more than anything else. Not some fantasy quirk or some cool name or costume, but a calm mind in a dangerous situation."
Whatever sullen mood Izuku was in about his training getting cancel suddenly vanishes upon hearing such words of praise.
"T-Thank you, Ryukyu!", he cries tears of joy.
Ryuko merely nods at this before closing the door and walking away, leaving a once again ecstatic Izuku in the car.
To anyone who happen to look in her direction, the high-rank pro hero seems calm and in control.
But on the inside though….
" Yep, definitely a scaly in the making, just my fucking luck", she told herself but soon another thought was starting to form, " How did he know about the dragons' names? White dragon I get, it's just common sense with the scales and all, but how do you explain the copper dragon?"
Twenty minutes later, the Tsuchi triplets were taken away and everyone got back into the car though Ryuko had to get in the back seat with Yui and Izuku since her seat was still missing. But this was only temporarily until they drove back to the place where Ryuko ejected out of the car and they pick it up and reinstall it.
Ten minutes of driving later, Izuku spots a twelve-story brown building with dark glass windows come into view and he figure that it was the Ryukyu's Agency building seeing how there was a billboard on the front of the building showcasing the Pro Heroine modeling her clothing line, Dragoir. He then notices a high-class limousine parked in front of the building.
"Guess who decided to pay you a visit?", Takako chuckles as she looks over at the Pro Heroine who was shaking her head in annoyance.
"I explicitly told her that my decision was final. Why can't she understand that?", Ryuko growls.
"Just hear her out so she will leave. It's the least you can do since she came all the way out here from Nagoya", Yui says.
"Fine, if only to get her out of my hair", Ryuko relents as the car pulls into the building private parking garage which was on the side.
Once the car came to a complete stop, the door that Izuku deduce led to the main building suddenly swung open and a woman with long flowing golden hair dressed in a just as golden business mini-dress comes walking in at a brisk pace with a clipboard in hand and the stepping of her high heels echoing through the garage. With his window open, the boy's nostrils were assaulted by the smell of saffron and incense which originated from the woman and he found his eyes lock in with her pupils that almost resemble pools of molten gold. As Izuku got out of the car, the woman extends a hand to him.
"Hello, Izuku Midoriya", she says, "It is an honor to finally meet you."
" An honor?", Izuku thought as he shook her hand and the woman continue speaking.
"I am Chojun Arakaki and I am Ryuko's treasurer. I handle all the finances for the agency including the budget."
"It's a pleasure to meet you", Izuku answers, trying his best to not be distracted by the woman's golden hair which seem to shine despite the low level of light in the room.
It also did not help that she seems to rival Takako in... asset size.
Chojun then looks over at Ryuko who was now getting out of the car.
"She is waiting for you in your office", she says and Izuku had a hunch that they were referring to whoever own the limo outside.
"Introduce Midoriya to everyone and I'll be down in a moment", Ryuko orders as she moves to the door.
"Eisho is not here by the way", Chojun says and this brings the heroine to a full stop.
"Where did he go?", Ryuko asks over her shoulder.
"He left this morning not long after you guys did. Right after he got a phone call", Chojun replies.
"That doesn't answer my question", Ryuko says and Izuku found the hairs on the back of his neck stand up due to the edge in her voice.
"You will have to ask him why then", Chojun says.
"I will", Ryuko says before resuming her walk through the door and out of sight.
Meanwhile Izuku notices that Chojun was inspecting the vehicle while seemingly jotting down something.
"Those tires were definitely in better condition this morning when you left. Plus, where did all these dents and scratches come from?", she asks.
Takako merely shrugs, "Circumstances."
"By that you mean your driving", Chojun counters.
"My driving is just fine."
"We will let the gas tank determine that", Chojun then states as she got in the driver's seat and turn the car on. After looking at the dashboard for a moment she turns to Takako with a frown, "How did you go from a full tank to just below three quarters in just a short amount of time driving?"
"Like I said, circumstances", Takako answers.
After writing something else down, Chojun hands Takako a piece of paper that look like a receipt.
"This much will be coming out of your allotted budget for repairs and fuel", the treasurers says with a smile
Takako snatches the receipt from Chojun and looks at it.
"Are you fucking shitting me?!", she then screams out.
"Midoriya", Izuku hears from his left and turns to see Yui standing next to him, "How about we leave these two alone and I help you get to know the rest of the staff?"
Izuku throws one last look at where Takako and Chojun were in the midst of a heated argument before looking back at Yui.
"Lead the way, Miss Tamaki", he says.
A moment later, the medical professional and the teenager find themselves walking into a spacious red-colored lobby whose design and decoration seem to be akin to a Chinese theme with several of the columns that were placed throughout the floor marked with golden Chinese dragons along with a couple of statue of guardian lions place on either side of the main entrance to the building and finally, he spots an elevator and a set of stairs on the far side of the room.
In the middle of all this though appear to be lobby of some sort where a large plasma TV was place and within it was a group of half a dozen individuals who all seem to be watching something.
"Hey guys!", he then hears Yui shout from right next to him, catching the group's attention, "Come over and greet Midoriya!"
The group turn their heads sharply to the sound of Yui's voice and almost instantly focus their attention on Izuku. Within moments, they all left the lodge and stand directly in front of Izuku and Yui in a straight line.
A few of the faces look quite familiar such as the intel specialist of the agency who Izuku saw earlier via video-chat, Tatshuiro Shimabukro, who Izuku was surprise to see actually had some muscles on him despite the boy initially believing that the man was basically a computer nerd and the concept of working out would have been foreign to him. A couple of things that Izuku now become aware of was how the man's sapphire blue eyes, for some reason, remind the boy of being in the midst of a storm and that a smell that could best be describe as desert sand along with a bit of ozone roll off of him in waves.
He still looks like he need to get more sleep though, even now moreso now that Izuku was seeing him in the flesh but once again he decides to keep that to himself for obvious reasons that were unfolding right in front of him.
"Did you drink your tea this morning after I left?", Yui asks Tatsuhiro.
"Yeah yeah, I drunk the crap", came the lazy response as he pulls a cigarette out of his pocket and starts to light it up.
"Good", Yui then before turning to Izuku, "This is-"
"Going off his body-language alone I'm certain that already knows who I am, Yui", Tatsuhiro cuts her off, "Or did you forget the fact that the video chat for the car goes both ways?"
Yui narrows her eyes at the blue-haired intel specialist who merely stares back as he finally gets his lighter to work and takes his first puff.
"In that I clearly saw you whisper to him while I was talking, no doubt telling him my name and occupation", Tatshuhiro kept going on.
Yui stares at the man for a few moments before silently plucking the cigarette out of his mouth with the precision of someone who has done it many times before.
"Okay Midoriya, allow me to introduce you to the rest of the Ryukyu's Agency staff", she then says as she points to the next person in line, the same man that Izuku saw address the media during the press debrief a few days back.
"This is-", Yui starts for the man cuts her off and moves to places himself between her and Izuku.
"Tomi Taira! Ryukyu's Public Relations and Social Media manager and I must say it is a wonderful to meet you again, Midoriya!", the man starts rambling off, "You are truly one of a kind to get someone like Ryukyu to personally train you! If you need anything, and I mean anything, you let me know and I'll pull some strings and get it for you!"
The man's constant talking nearly overwhelm Izuku's sense of thought but not his sense of smell as he briefly picks up a actinic sandy odor coming off the man though it was different that the sand-like scent he got from Tatsuhiro.
"Okay, that's enough Tomi. No need to talk his ears off after he just met you", Yui says as she pushes the man to the side and begins instructing the third person in line; a woman dressed in a lab coat with emerald hair and eyes and who gave off a faint scent of chlorine in the air around her.
And a smile that reminded him of his mother whenever she was trying to hold her anger in.
"This is Ayano Oshiro, the one I told you about who is the agency's Quirk Analyst as well as our local researcher", Yui says.
"How do you do?", the woman asks and Izuku was certain he heard levels of strain rage in her tone.
" Did I do something to make her angry? Wait a minute, this is my first time meeting her; what could I have possibly done to make her mad?", Izuku asks himself, but he is given no time to dwell on this before the person next to Ayano chimes in.
"Pay her no mind, she just had a couple long nights and needs some more sleep", the man with short bronze hair and glowing green eyes said. He was dress in a pair of blue working overalls that were covered in large number of what Izuku assume were grease stains and oil with a green bandanna tied off around the top of his head. Much like everyone else at the agency, he had a unique smell to him that remind the boy of the ocean where the water hits the shore, sea spray if you will.
"This is Gakuto Uehara and he is our support equipment designer/inventor, maintainer, repairer and our local handyman", Yui says.
"Nice to meet ya", Gakuto says with a slight bow.
"Once you get into U.A., Gakuto here will assist you and craft up specialize support gear for you; all you need do is ask", Yui then adds before directing Izuku's attention to the next person who Izuku looks at and only one sentence pop into his mind to describe the man.
No personal space.
Izuku thinks this because at this very moment the man whose upward spiky hair and eyes seem to perfectly match that of the copper dragon he saw in his mind right before transforming earlier today was definitely in his personal bubble, examining his clothes and hair with a detective eye.
"We are definitely going to have to do something about these clothes of yours; it's like you got dress in the dark and in a hurry this morning! Oh! My! Goodness! Are those red shoes you have on right now? At this time of the year?", the man says while pointing down at Izuku's feet.
All of a sudden Izuku found himself feeling severely under-dress as he compares his plain red shoes and his worn-out blue and white tracksuit to the man's silk button up shirt, fashionable leather pants, and designer shades that sat on top of his head.
In fact, Izuku was positive that the exquisite design white scarf wrap around his neck had more work put into it than any of the clothes in his closet back at home and possibly even more expensive than all them combine. Plus, the man seem to be impeccably clean from hand to toe and Izuku could not but shake the feeling that the man probably got pedicures and manicures every week, probably more than just once.
Back to the clothes though, in all honestly Izuku thought that what he was wearing now was perfect for the harsh physical training Ryukyu said that he was going to be going through.
"Well, it seems that I'm going to have a lot to work to do now so I best free up my schedule", the man then says as he pulls out a measuring tape and begins rapidly measuring around Izuku's waist, neck, legs, arms, and essentially Izuku's entire body without evening asking the boy first; though it did give the boy a chance to get a whiff of his unique smell which was a actinitc stony scent, much like the copper dragon from earlier though far less potent.
"Lots of work?", also came forth out of his mouth as he wonders just what the man meant by that.
Noticing the baffle expression on the boy's face, Yui take that as her cue to interject.
"Midoriya, this is Tomoji Miyagi. He is Ryukyu's fashion designer."
"I thought Ryuko's design her own clothes", Izuku says after Tomoji was finally done measuring and was currently jotted down notes in a small book.
"She gives me ideas to work with along with modeling the final product", Tomoji says without looking up, "But I do everything in between."
"He also see himself at the morale maintainer of the place", Gakuto chuckles to which Ayako and Tomi nod their heads in agreement.
"What is that supposed to mean?", Izuku asks.
"Oh, don't you worry your pretty little face!", Tomoji says as he pinches Izuku's cheek, "You'll find out soon enough!"
"Tomoji", Yui says in a tone that was anything but friendly, "What have we told you?"
"That taking measurements is one thing but actually touching without permission is another", the fashion designer answers before heading to the stairs, "Well, I got things to make so I'll see you all later! Toddles!"
Izuku rub his cheek, hoping to tone down the pain in it as he watches the man go up the stairs and leave.
"Wow, he is very….", he starts to say.
"He's not gay", someone says from right next to him and the boy found himself jumping back in fright as he turns to see who it was.
Izuku was surprise to see that the woman before him was actually shorter than he was, though it was not by much.
She was dress in a red and brown track suit and staring at him with an icy stare that could freeze hell over. That combine with her short snow-white hair and eyes gave Izuku's the impression that he was in the middle of a winter storm and a crisp, almost faintly, chemical odor filled his nose.
"This is Hiroko Yamashiro and she is Ryukyu's personal physical fitness coordinator; her personal trainer if you will", Yui says, "From this day forth, she will be yours as well."
"N-Nice to mean you", Izuku stutters out, the cold stare he was receiving from the woman putting him in a sense of unease, "I-I don't believe I heard what you just said."
"Tomoji…. he's not gay despite what you were thinking; he's metrosexual", Hiroko repeats, "That means he's just very in touch with his feminine side but still straight."
"Oh", Izuku says before realizing that by saying that one word he just confirms the woman's suspicion that Tomoji's sexual orientation did indeed cross his mind and said mind then went into overdrive trying to recover from his slip-up, 'I-I mean, I would have nothing against him if he was or anything like that! I have nothing against gay people or-"
"Save it for someone who actually cares", Hiroko says as she starts walking around Izuku, inspecting him from top to bottom.
Seeing how this was the umpteenth time today someone of the agency has given him a thorough inspection since he woke up this morning, it was starting to get on his nerves a bit.
But before he could say anything about it though, Hiroko spoke first.
"You're nothing but skin and bones. Your mom's cooking must be pretty shitty for you to look like this at your age or maybe she doesn't even cook for you at all."
Raw anger courses through Izuku's body as his mind register this woman's badmouthing his mother and, in that instant, the image of Buraee flashes before Izuku's eyes and the boy found himself struggling to keep his anger in check at very moment, all while Hiroko kept watching him until he finally regain control.
She then looks over at Yui, "I'll be in the kitchen preparing lunch if you need me."
The medical expert merely nods her head at this.
Then the personal trainer turns and starts heading toward another door on the other side of the lobbying, disappearing behind it without so much as a backward glance at the remaining group.
But before Izuku could comment on the rudeness of the woman, Yui starts to speak.
"We have one more member of the staff, Eisho Kaneshiro, who is Ryukyu's combat training instructor, but he is not here at the moment but you will meet him eventually", she says.
"Combat training instructor?", Izuku question.
"He helps keep Ryukyu on her toes from hand-to-hand combat all the way to weapons training. He is also the agency's head of security", Yui explains.
" Weapons training?", Izuku wonders.
"Anyway, there is also someone else who is not part of the staff currently staying with us here at the agency who I think you should meet", Yui says as she motions Izuku into the elevator and the silver-hair woman pushes the button for the twelfth floor; the last thing he saw before the door closes were the remaining four staff members looking at him.
"So, he's the real deal, huh? The one everyone has been waiting for?", Gakuto asks as soon as the elevator doors close.
"Sure seems like it", Tatsuhiro says as he pulls out another cigarette, "Never thought I live to see the day."
"I don't think any of us thought we would", Tomi says, "But yet here we are."
"He looks just like Hiashi back when he was that age...minus the hair color of course", Gakuto says.
"He was never that scrawny either", Ayano point out.
"Ryuko, Hiroko, and Eisho can work on that. Speaking of Eisho, I wonder how him meeting the kid is going to go", Gakuto says.
"I'm definitely going to clear my schedule to make sure I am here to see that", Tomi laughs to which the others join in.
Moments later Izuku and Yui arrive at the twelfth floor where the latter led the former down a hallway.
"This is the floor that houses Ryukyu's room and her office, just so you are aware", Yui states.
"I'm guessing because it's the closest to the roof so she can take off easier in case of an emergency?", Izuku asks to which Yui nods.
"Correct. Moving on now, there is something you should know Midoriya and that is that if is was not for All Might throwing in his support for Ryukyu to train you, there is a very good chance that everything would not have turn out the way that it did", Yui explains, "Also know that Ryukyu has her own sense of honor."
"Okay, I'm following", Izuku says while wondering where this conversation was going.
"Therefore, after All Might did that Ryukyu felt honor bound to pay back this "debt" and in doing so, All Might ask us to house his niece", Yui said.
"Niece?", Izuku asks while recalling that All Might has never mention having any living family in any of his interviews, documentaries, and such.
"She will be attempting to get into U.A. support course next year but she wanted to get "in tune" with the way things work here in Japan so she showed up last night to start doing this", Yui kept saying.
"U.A support course? Work here in Japan?", Izuku repeats, "Wait a minute, is she a foreigner?"
"She is; an American from I-Island but her Japanese is spotless so you should have no problem with the language barrier", Yui says before eyeing Izuku, "I hope her being a foreigner will not be a problem for you."
"Of course not", Izuku says.
"Good to hear", Yui smiles as they stop in front of a door, "This is her room for the time being."
" All Might's niece who is an American? This is all very strange but I guess I might as well make a good first impression", Izuku wonders as Yui knocks.
"Come in", a voice rings out and Yui opens the door.
Standing at the other end of the room, sitting on a bed while rummaging through a bag was a pale-skinned girl around Izuku's age with wavy blonde hair and aqua-blue eyes. When she looks up from her bag and direct her attention at Yui then Izuku, the boy found himself lost in those same aqua-blue eyes much in the way he became lost in the golden eyes of Himiko Toga. "Midoriya, meet Melissa Shield,", Yui starts, "Melissa, this is Izuku Midoriya. He is-"
"The boy with the powerful dragon quirk which utilizes speed, strength, durability, agility, versatility, and an oh-so-powerful breath attack!", the girl shouts as she quickly jumps off the bed and bounds across the room, stopping directly in front of Izuku, "I am so excited to meet you!"
"Y-You are?", Izuku says, his brain only functioning just slightly better than it did when he met Himiko since he was given forewarning.
"Of course, I watch the news coverage regarding the villain attack and I must say that a quirk likes yours only comes along once in a lifetime and it seems to be constantly evolving at a rapid pace to the point that you now have two completely different forms in just three days of getting your quirk! It is truly fascinating!", Melissa began to explain in a way that remind Izuku of how he would get whenever he got to talk about Pro Heroes, "Uncle Might was right when he told me that you had the potential to be a great hero!"
"Uncle Might? You mean All Might? All Might mention me?!", Izuku questions, almost forgetting that Yui mention that tibbit just a few moments ago.
Melissa replies with a nod, "He and my dad are close friends since they used to work together back when he was in the States."
Suddenly, with that one statement, all the pieces started to come together and everything seem to click for Izuku.
" American. Her father and All Might use to work together back when he was in America. Last name Shield", Izuku thought before speaking, "Is your father Professor David Shield?"
"Bingo!", Melissa says, giving Izuku a thumbs-up while flipping out her phone and showing him a picture that including her and her dad, "The one and only!"
"Oh my gosh! Your dad is a world-renown support equipment genius! A top scientist in quirk research who has even received a Nobel Quirk Prize! When he and All Might were a team back in the state, he invented all of All Might's costumes such as Young Age, Bronze Age, Silver age, and Golden Age!", Izuku says as he began to ramble on about the number one Pro Hero and his career oversea with Melissa listening intently, adding her own little comments at certain points. Meanwhile, Yui merely watches the two teenagers, taking in the sight of them.
"These two are hitting it off quite well. That's a relief. This way All Might will continue to lend us his support and that should keep the HPSC off our backs", Yui thought before realizing that Ryuko was probably about to be done with her little "meeting".
"Midoriya, Melissa", Yui says, using the first-name basis tradition of the west to address the girl, "I need to go handle some things real quick and afterwards we will head back down."
Izuku and Melissa give her a nod and the medical expert turns to leave, stopping at the door.
"I would also like for you to leave the door open while I am away, just so no one gets the wrong idea about what is going on in here", she says with a wink before walking out.
This statement turns Izuku into stammering wreck while only getting a giggle out of Melissa.
An awkward silence then descends upon the room as Izuku, who just realizes that he was now in a room alone with a girl, said room belonging to said girl no less, decides to focus his attention at the floor.
"So what was it like?", Melissa asks.
"Excuse me?", Izuku replies, unsure of what she meant.
"What is it like when you took on the villain this morning?", Melissa asks clearer.
"Oh, that", Izuku says as he recalls the experience, "It was...something else."
"Come on, Izuku, you can be more descriptive than that", Melissa says as she sat down on her bed, gesturing Izuku to do the same, a move that cause his blush to come back in full force, though this was also amplify by Melissa using his first name so casually.
"I'm good, thank you", he replies as he remains standing, "But to answer your question better, it really was something else. It's one thing to watch pro heroes take on villains but its another when you have to do so yourself."
Melissa nods at this, "I see. Uncle Might always makes it look so easy whenever he does it." "He really does but I guess that's why he is number one", Izuku says.
…..
Another awkward silence descends on the room as Izuku once again became a bit uncomfortable.
"So…. Miss Tamaki says that you are trying to get into U.A. Support course?", he asks, trying to start conversation
"That's right", Melissa answers while looking out the window, "Hopefully I'll be able to get in and follow in my father's footsteps. Sure, I could have easily gotten into I-Island academy but I wanted to experience Japan since it is the most technologically country when it comes to support equipment and it is where Uncle Might is from."
"Well, I'm sure you'll go great", Izuku says.
"I hope so too", she says before looking at Izuku, "Hey Izuku, I know we just met but seeing how you and I are going to be around each other a lot in the coming months, can I ask a favor?" "Um sure?", Izuku says, unable to think of a proper answer for such a question.
Taking this as her cue, Melissa stands back up and leans in extremely close to Izuku, examining the boy.
"W-What are you doing, Shield?", Izuku stammers out as Melissa lean in and took a close look at his neck and face.
"Please call me Melissa. Anyway, despite taking a hard hit from that rock villain this morning, your body seems to be moving around just fine and have no noticeable injuries. The most logical explanation is that your scales protected you."
In that moment, Izuku recalls what Hunluan and Nefer told him on how his scales will protect him from a number of attacks, including blunt attacks to a certain degree.
"That makes sense, but is there a reason for all this?", he asks,
"Due to I-Island restrictions, I could only bring two of my inventions from home that they deem were not a danger to their confidentiality", Melissa says as she starts going through her bag again and pulls out a small red box along with a small black box, "So I'm going to have to make some more to present to U.A. when I take the exam."
"What does that have to do with me?", Izuku asks.
An uncomfortable smile stretches across Melissa's face, "Well, since Ryukyu is already doing so much for me and I hate to overstep my boundaries, I was hoping you could be let me use you to make so equipment."
"Come again? Use me?", Izuku asks.
"You have just gained a powerful quirk so you're going to need powerful support equipment to help you get used to it. If I use you as a baseline for my gear then it should give me a major boost in quality", Melissa explain, 'Which of course you can use."
"But Ryukyu can only give me quirk training, not hero training and me using support equipment would count as hero training", Izuku points out.
"Yes and no", Melissa says, "If Mr. Uehara was to give you support equipment then it could be seen as "hero training" but since I'm not a license Pro Hero Support Equipment designer, my equipment would legally not count as hero support equipment if it is used for you."
"Really?", Izuku questions.
"She is actually correct in that notion", a voice from the doorway says and both teens turn to see Yui standing there, "I should have explain more downstairs but until you actually enter U.A. and start your hero training, Gakuto is prohibited by law from constructing any gear for you as he is license in the making of hero support equipment and anything he makes for you could be classified as Hero Support equipment."
The silver-haired medical expert then directs her attention at Melissa, "She, on the other hand, is not affected by this law. Gakuto can even aid her to a degree as long as he only provides advice and such."
"So basically, it's a win-win for everyone", Izuku deduces, "I get equipment that can help me understand my quirk better and get ready to take the hero course and Melissa gets to make equipment that prepares her for the support course."
Melissa nods her head, "Seems that way. This way we both get to achieve our dreams!"
"Hmm? What is your dream, Melissa?", Izuku wonders.
"Why to be like my father and invent things that can help support heroes and in doing so saves people's lives indirectly but that is only part of my dream!", she declares as she stands up, clenching a fist while doing so, catching Izuku off-balance with her energy, "I admire Uncle Might for being a great hero, but a hero is nothing without their equipment and the people who make such gear are the unsung heroes of society, including my dad! But another problem with society is that heroes hoard all the best gear for themselves while everyone else only gets the scraps, hand-me-downs, and leftovers! I want to invent things that are twofold; not only will it help heroes save those who can't save themselves but also help make everyone, heroes and citizens alike, day-to-day lives easier!"
" Whoa", is an Izuku can think in response to Melissa's proclamation. Her desire to make support equipment to help people easily rival his desire to be a hero.
Then without warning Nefer appears alongside Melissa with tears pouring down from her eyes.
"The aura this girl produces is one that only the most kindhearted and purest souls can create and her desire to help those less fortunate is overwhelming even to me! ", the blue-eyes white dragon cries out as she looks down at Melissa, the girl completely unaware of the dragon's presence even though she was right next to her, " Izuku! I shall never ask anything of you ever again if you were to make this girl your wife!"
" What?!", Izuku says.
"Absolutely fucking not!", Buraee then shouts as he appears on the next to Izuku, glaring at Nefer, " He is going to mate with that Himiko girl not this weak inferior creature!"
"That foul witch?!", Nefer says as she recoils back as if she had gotten slap, " How dare you try to assume that Izuku will copulate with a girl as tainted with evil as her?!"
Doing his absolute best to drown out his bickering good and evil personification Izuku looks over at Melissa, still in awe of her statement.
But before he could say anything, Yui spoke up.
"Well, Ryukyu is almost done with her meeting, so we should head back downstairs so we can take you home, Midoriya."
This statement confuses Melissa, "Izuku is going home already? But he just got here."
"I will explain it in more detail later to you but for now, whatever training plans we had for today have been cut short due to this morning", Yui says, "But for now, let's get back downstairs."
Izuku merely accepts this and moves toward the door, walking past Yui into the hallway.
And looks to his right down said hallway where he spots Ryukyu herself….
Along with someone else.
That someone was a tall teenage girl with a... mature physique that Izuku has only seem on Pro Heroine. She had long black hair tied into a spiky ponytail with one long strand hanging on the right side of her face. She had onyx colored eyes that instantly lock onto his and she had a neutral expression on her face as she stares at him. She was also dress in a highly fashionable, and more than likely highly expensive, red dress with a mini-skirt with black legging and long red boots.
Once again, Izuku found himself completely under dressed in comparison.
"Midoriya", Ryuko says, "I wasn't expecting you to be up here."
"I brought him up here to meet Melissa since the two of them are going to be around each other in the coming months", Yui speaks up as said girl pops her head out into the hallway, "I hope that is not a problem."
Ryuko moves to say something but Izuku does not hear it as all of his attention was directed at the girl next to the pro hero who focus her attention right back at him.
"So this is the person your chose over me? He is the reason you dropped my recommendation?", the girl then says.
"Now is not the time, Yaoyorozu", Ryuko answers, her voice stern and unwavering.
"I suppose it never will be then", the girl known as Yaoyorozu says before looking back at Izuku and bowing slightly, "I am Momo Yaoyorozu. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Izuku Midoriya."
"You know who I am?", Izuku questions without thinking.
"Of course, I do. Why would I not know of the person who has been all over the news as of late and who also took Ryukyu's hero school recommendation away from me?", Momo answers, no hint of emotion whatsoever on her face.
"Huh?", was Izuku's response.
"That is enough, Yaoyorozu", Ryuko says, "You can leave now."
Momo looks at Ryuko one last time before walking toward the elevator which just so happen to be behind Izuku. As she walks by him though, she spares him a look.
It was not a look that a person would normally give someone.
This was far different than the looks the twins used to give him though. There was no anger, no malice, not even annoyance behind Momo Yaoyorozu's eyes; it was just simply a sort of acknowledgment.
Thanks to his analyst mind Izuku quickly realize that he has only ever seen people have that expression on their faces during one particular scenario.
It was a look he has seen people have when they come across a "Detour" sign or something else that prevents them from taking the route they were already planning to take.
It was the look that someone came to an object that was standing in the way of them reaching their goal.
This girl, for some unknown reason, had just acknowledge Izuku as nothing more than a mere obstacle and something deep inside told the boy that she was not going to simply find another away around him.
It was in that moment of realization that Dogal appears next to him but remains quiet as he simply watches the tall girl enter the elevator. The fact that he was actually awake and standing must have been consider a rarity as both Buraee and Nefer ceases their bickering to stare at the speculate.
"Dogal?", the good dragon asks.
" What is the matter?", the evil dragon asks.
But neither of them receive an answer from the neutral dragon who keeps watching Momo until the elevator door close.
"Be wary of that one, Izuku. Do not let your guard down around her just yet", he then says.
Before Izuku could get a more definite answer for his neutral aspect though, Dogal vanishes along with the other two.
"I'm sorry you had to deal with that, Midoriya", Ryuko says, snapping him out of his thoughts, "I was hoping our meeting would not take so long."
"She said her name was Momo Yaoyorozu", Melissa says, "I feel like I have heard of her last name from somewhere before."
"That is because she is the sole heir to the Yaoyorozu family", Yui answers, "They are the richest family in Japan and one of the richest families in the world. Let's just say that if there is a pot in this country, her family has at least a finger in it."
"Oh, now I remember", Melissa says, "Her family is a major sponsor of I-Island! They have even sponsored some of my dad's work in the past!"
Izuku though ignores this bit of information and glances over at Ryuko who was still looking at the elevator. Hero recommendation were a big deal nowadays for people trying to get into hero's schools. It basically guarantees that you were getting into any school that you wanted. All Might, as the number one hero, got three recommendations a year. The other Top Ten heroes all got two a year and everyone else in the top one hundred got only one. Anyone else who was outside that ranking did not receive any. Recommendations were only good for the year before someone was supposed to enter their school of choice but since a hero could keep picking the same person if they wanted, there was no limit on how early someone could earn a recommendation. Of course, this has led to some people with money to spare to simply "buy" recommendations from Pro Heroes through various means or so the rumors go.
Izuku also remember that the number one heroine, Miruko, has yet to give out any recommendations.
"Did she really have a recommendation from you for a hero school?", he asks.
"She did for a time along with another girl and both of them held it for two years", Ryuko answers honestly, "Yaoyorozu's quirk is known as Creation and it allows her to create any nonliving material or object from her exposed skin by transforming the molecular structure of her fat cells."
"That sound pretty powerful", Melissa states.
"It is", Ryuko says.
"Then might I ask why you drop her recommendation if she has such a powerful quirk?", Izuku says cautiously, unsure if he was venturing into dangerous territory.
But instead of getting annoy or angry, Ryuko merely lets out a sigh.
"Reasons Midoriya, reasons that she doesn't yet seem to understand", was all the heroine says before walking back to the elevator, "Come on, let's get you home."
After a brief elevator ride down to the main floor and an exchanging of phone numbers between Izuku and Melissa at the behest of the girl, this of course took far longer than it should have seeing how Izuku could not believe that he was actually getting a girl's number in his phone, it was an uneventful ride back to the Midoriya's residence where a tearful Inko engulfs Izuku in a bear hug.
Once Izuku was able to break free of the hug, Ryuko, Yui, and Takako all profusely apologize for what happen and how it will not happen again and then explain to Mrs. Midoriya the situation regarding the month long wait.
Yui first explain that if Inko would allow it, she and Ryuko would come by every Sunday morning to evaluate Izuku to make sure that he was doing alright both mentally and physically during this time.
Ryuko then states that they would be emailing all of Izuku's school work from Aldera to him on Sunday morning as well.
Finally, Takako advise both of them to avoid talking to the press if they could and let the agency's public relations manager handle everything.
Afterwards, they simply left.
But not before Ryuko gave one more word of advice.
"You don't want me using my quirk at all?", Izuku asks, making certain that he heard the heroine correctly.
"I just don't want you using the transforming aspects of it. If other aspects happening to develop and you can control them, feel free to test them out but within the limits of the law. Unless I'm with you or you're at a designated quirk usage facility like my agency, you would get in trouble", Ryuko points out, "Anyway, so far you only have two forms; the savage white dragon and the evasive copper dragon, but we have not seen the full extent of either of them and the last thing we need is another repeat of your alley incident only this time no one is around to stop you before someone gets severely hurt. We got lucky the first time, but there is no guarantee you will get a second "get-out-of-jail" free card if it happens again."
Both Inko and Izuku nodded their heads, seeing the logic in the decision.
"Okay, I won't transform during the….", he says, trying to think of a word.
"Let's just call it a training intermission.", Ryuko says before turning around to leave, "I'll see you Sunday morning."
The Midoriya give their goodbye and the three women head down to the car and leave the parking lot.
"Okay, I am not going to wait until we get back to the agency", Yui says from her spot in the backseat of the car as it pulls out of the complex, "Why are we waiting a month to start if the committee is giving us more resources to work with?"
"Because I want us to be completely ready", Ryuko answer from the front seat.
"How so?", Yui questions.
"Takako, what was the best guess again for Izuku in terms of awakening?", Ryuko asks the driver.
The lawyer spares the heroine a glance for letting out a breath.
"The committee's earliest prediction was that he should have awaken his first dragon around the age eighteen, nineteen at the most and it that it would have taken him five months of training before he would have awoken a second dragon at the earliest", she answers, "And remember, this was if he had his awakening at all which also had a low chance of happening."
"And yet he awoken his first dragon at fourteen and his second dragon came in just three days later without any training whatsoever", Ryuko says, "Plus remember, Ayano thinks he is already performing at a near young adult dragon level. That is unprecedented."
"You are not wrong there", Yui says.
"Exactly, therefore we are going to throw everything we were told out the window and just be prepare for anything", Ryuko declares.
"Anything?", both Yui and Takako says.
"Anything", Ryuko repeats, "Over the next month everyone will be working overtime to get the agency fully ready. First, we'll deal Melissa and get her out of the building for most of the day so Gakuto can work without distractions but I want to be ready for everything. I don't want any more surprises, even if Midoriya happens to awakening all of his remaining dragons come midMay, am I clear?"
"So the evaluation thing?", Yui questions.
"Is just a way for us to continue monitoring him without the need for surveillance devices other than the standard drone here and there", Ryuko explains, "I would rather not have to invade his privacy."
"You need to stop going so soft on him just because he is Hiashi's kid", Takako states.
"I'm doing this specifically because he's Hiashi's kid", Ryuko counters, "Before this morning, Hiashi had the youngest initial dragon awakening ever at sixteen and it took him two months of training to unlock his second dragon form. Like Ayano said, we need to take a more cautious approach; we can't just rush into this. If he was to find out that we have been spying on him, who knows how he might react?"
"Okay, but what about Yu?", Takako asks, referring to the Giant Hero , "Eventually she will be back."
"She's still doing that task force assignment in Osaka and that should take at least two months seeing how Edgeshot is leading it and he is known to be completely thorough, so we got time", Ryuko answers, "So let's do this right because I'll be damn if I'm going to be caught off-guard again by Midoriya."
Without warning, Ryuko's phone starts to go off.
"Who is this now?", she wonders aloud as she looks at the ID, an eyebrow raising in curiosity after seeing who it was before answering it.
"How's it going? We haven't talk in a while, Rumi, but word is that you have been busy", she says as she answers.
"Hey Ryu, how it going? But yeah, the HPSC got me going from one dumpster fire to another all over Japan in an effort to lower the national crime rate a bit", the Rabbit Hero, the top-ranked heroine in Japan, said on her end, "They're really starting to become a pain in the ~culo~!"
Ryuko chuckles a bit at this, reminding herself that Rumi Usagiyama, or Mirko as she is mostly known as, was half Japanese/ half-Latina and thus threw Spanish in every now and then when she talks.
"I know how much you hate taking orders from those guys", Ryuko says.
"Yeah, you would think they would have something better for me to do, like leave me alone, but I guess not", Rumi states.
"As happy as I am to hear from you, I doubt you call just to complain", Ryuko says.
"You're right about that, Ryu. It seems that despite the presence of you, All Might, and Mr. Eternally Number Two, a lot of villains are still popping up in the Shizuoka Prefecture, which of course is a big no-no for the HPSC seeing how they want people to believe that it is one of the safest in Japan with all the big names heroes and U.A. being there. So they want me to set up shop there until the numbers go down and I was hoping I could use your agency as my temporarily headquarters in the meantime because it seem like that might take a while. Also, if you can point me in the direction of any cheap apartments that would be great too."
Ryuko spares a glance at Yui and Takako, knowing that they could easily hear this conversation and they were both throwing her looks of uncertainty.
"I don't know about that Rumi. As you have probably heard, I'm helping a kid with quirk training and I have to re-up my agency to deal with his evolving quirk", Ryuko began to explain seeing how it technically was not a lie.
"Yeah, that Midoriya kid who can transform into some type of dragon; he is actually the second reason I called, Ryu", Rumi says.
"And why is that?", Ryuko questions, not liking one bit where this was going.
"I was hoping you could let me spar with him after you train him a bit", Rumi answers.
"And why would I do that?", Ryuko says.
"I'll take over your patrols and even some of your other mandatory duties like attending banquets and shit", Rumi repeats, "That should leave you more time to train the kid."
"Tempting but it still doesn't answer my question", Ryuko points out.
"What can I say? He's looks like he would be a fun fight once he get some control over his quirk; now naturally I would hold back on him, of course", Rumi confesses, "Plus I can train him a bit as well and that basically says to all of Japan that I support you training him."
"Still though, I don't think-", Ryuko starts to speak before noticing Takako shaking her head rapidly.
"One moment, Rumi", Ryuko says before looking at her lawyer, placing her hand over the phone while doing so.
" You want her hanging around the agency? You are mad enough as it is about the Melissa being there", Ryuko says in the ancient language of Okinawa, Ryukyuan; a language that not even a fifty thousand people speak, let alone understand, even to this day. This was a necessary precaution because even with her hand over her phone, Ryuko was well aware that Rumi's ears could very possibly pick up their conversation.
" True, but Mirko will not be living there and we can discuss any "sensitive" matters when she is not around", Takako says back, " Plus, imagine the PR Tomi could spin if we had the only other top-ranked heroine in the country supporting us in Izuku's training along with All Might's and Hawks' support. The fact that she would actually be helping with it would be such a boon to us that not even the Prime Minister could touch us, let alone the HPSC. We would basically be putting a giant bubble around us that no politicians could break, something that we are going to need when we have to deal with the inevitable backlash from this morning, especially if Endeavor decides to get involve."
" Rumi's support would help us out greatly in dealing with this. Plus, she does know a thing or two about hand-to-hand combat and who knows when Eisho is coming back", Ryuko says, thinking it over in her head. With the All Might, Hawks, and Rumi backing her, even Endeavor would be foolish to start a "feud" with her. Plus, it would also be supporting the advice Ayano gave this morning in bringing in help.
The only downsides being that she does have to eventually takes Hawks up on that race and it might take a little effort to rein Rumi from going overboard in her training.
" Then I suggest you agree to this. Hell, she can even come along right now to the agency and we can get everything set up. We are definitely in one of those "the sooner the better" situation and we should take advantage of it", Takako says.
Ryuko muses the thought in her head before concluding. Izuku was turning out to be bit of a handful and she was going to need to dedicate more of her time to properly train him than she previously thought.
Also, adding to the fact that Rumi was her the only one among the Pro Hero's community that she could call a friend the last thing she wanted to do was push her away.
"Alright Rumi", she says as she gets back on the phone, "You got yourself a deal.
"Fuck yes!", Rumi shouts, "But let me set the record straight and say that this is not a team-up. Whatever you and giant girl got going on is between you."
"Trust me, everyone know you aren't down for team-ups", Ryuko says, "When you get into town, come by and we'll work out the conditions. I'm away from the agency right now so call me when you get in."
"Oh, that's cool, I'll just wait until you get back seeing how I'm already outside of your building", Rumi says with a laugh.
Ryuko lets out a breath in annoyance, "Of course you are. Where else would you be?"
"See you when you get here, Ryu!", the Rabbit Hero says as she hangs up.
"Why does she call you Ryu?", Yui wonders after a moment, "That is the Japanese masculine name for dragon."
"I tried to explain to her one time that my real name means "dragon child" and that it was more appropriate", Ryuko explains, "But then she simply said that Ryu sounded better and that Street Fighter was her favorite game growing up."
A/N: Rumi is here and she wants all the smoke and yes, I lower Melissa age to be around Izuku.
Also, I received a comment asking if Izuku could have more fashion sense since Ryuko has a fashion line and thought, "Sure, why not?"
Earlier on in Chapter 2 Hawks is talking to the HPSC president about his discussion with Ryuko and it included that she dropped both of her hero school recommendations out of the blue. The reasons why will be discussed later on. Plus, in canon, Momo did get in on the recommendation exam but in canon they never really expand on it. I figure with Todoroki being the son of Endeavor that it means that a hero recommended them but if that is the case, who recommended Momo. (Or maybe I wasn't paying enough attention and they did mention it)
Also, let me point out that Momo is mostly still the same as she is in canon, it is just her attitude toward Izuku will be different.
Also yes, Metro-sexual is still a thing believe or not in today's society. It's a male who is in touch with their feminine side but is still a Heterosexual.
