Chapter 12: The First Strike Part 2
12:25 PM
Orsola, Angelene, Sherry, Lucia, and Agnese arrived at the airport.
"Looks like we arrived," Orsola spoke as she looked at a piece of paper. "According to the letter Saiji left us, we will meet him and the others at the Multi-Story Inn."
"It should give us good rooms," Agnese commented.
Sherry then overheard notice some people murmuring about something.
"Did you hear, there was a robbery in a lab? Something cyborg technology."
"C'mon, cyborg tech...that's only in sci-fi movies."
"What about the people that sighted a fish creature on the pirate ship?"
"Who knows, the kids just probably got spooked. Kids get scared of monsters like when they think monsters are under their beds."
"What know what I read a while ago. There was a legend of a wizard that arrived here 100 years ago," That last part made Sherry halt as she remembered something that she had forgotten when she was a child and the time when her friend Ellis was still alive.
"Sherry...I read online that a black wizard had arrived in Academy City. He did some projects with the scientists for almost 6 months until someone leaked the project and everyone was slaughtered."
"What happened to the scientists and this black wizard?"
"First, the black wizard was said to have fled leaving everyone to die, though, two scientists were never found. The two were probably killed somewhere in different parts of the research facility I mean their bodies weren't found so they were presumed dead when the entire place came crashing down."
"Sherry...Sherry...Sherry..." Orsola's voice snapped the Goth lady out of her deep thought. "Is something wrong, you were spacing out."
Sherry shook her head calmly. "No...I'm fine, let's get to our bus." The others were puzzled as they knew she was hiding something, but they decided not to pressure the girl.
They soon got to the bus stop which arrived and the girls got on board.
Touma and Index were finishing up their meal at Macronell Hamburger. Index chowed on hamburgers and soda. Touma was slightly embarrassed by the nun's eating habits as a few people were staring and cringed in disgust. "Rotten luck." Touma thought his embarrassed look wasn't leaving his face.
The boy began to think about what Vanessa said to him again. "I wonder if this crash site has any connection to Vanessa and her crew. No, there has to be more to it. Wait, Natsu and his friends appear in the city and I see the pirates. It can't be a coincidence." He did not have much sense of what was going on, but, he decided to find some answers. Perhaps Motoharu and Index's former protectors can shed some light.
"I'm full, let's go," Index quickly left the table.
Touma followed the nun. "Heheheh..." He began to think about what Kuroko told me. "Misaka...was depressed because of me. Well, I hope she'll be alright." He shook his head. "Of course, she's a tough girl and Shirai will tell Misaka that I'm safe."
"Touma!" Index called waving her arm. "Let's go, we'll be late for the meeting!"
"Oh yeah, coming!" Touma ran toward the little nun.
Back at Judgement Heaquarters.
Uiharu was looking on the black wizard. "Hmm...looks like this story has a little details. From what I can see, the black wizard was working with scientists. Among was two geniuses."
"Sounds Zeref has made new friends in this world," Natsu thought.
"Is there any pictures of these geniuses that the black wizard worked with?" Lucy asked.
Uiharu scrolled and licked on a double picture. "Here...first one is Maria and Kouta. They worked with the black wizard for almost 5 months. Their project was to create new lifeforms. At first, things were going well until something got the public to take drastic measures and eliminate the project."
"That doesn't sound good," Happy thought worriedly.
"The leaders got worried of whatever the scientist were creating could put the city in great danger. As a result all the scientists...were...wiped out," Uiharu finished a little sick.
"So all the scientists were killed?" Elfman questioned utter disgust."
"So horrible," Yukino muttered covering her mouth.
"What became of Maria and Kouta, did they die too?" Natsu asked.
Uiharu scrolled down for more information. "Yes, they did, apparently Maria tried to flee before she was shot. However, a little later, the clean up crew went to recover her body but where she was. Her body wasn't there anymore."
The earthland wizards gasped. "Hold on, does that mean she survived somehow?" Elfman asked a bit surprised.
"I doubt it, from what the agents said, she was shot about five times in the chest." Uiharu replied.
"Man, sounds like things were quite bloody," Saten commented.
"Gee, you think," Lucy sweat dropped.
"As for Kouta, he was never found though some people thought he died somewhere, so, they presumed him dead," Uiharu replied. "As for the black wizard, he was never found either not even a body."
"Doubt they'd be able to kill him since he was immortal," Natsu thought.
Knock Knock
"I'll get it," Konori got up from her seat and opend the door to see the pizza delivery guy. "Oh thanks, I'll take those and here's your money and tip." She held five boxes of pizza. "The pizzas are here!"
Inside Ms. Komoe's apartment.
Vanessa, Yuna, Sanosuke, Morgan, Holly, and Nasagi were starting their discussion with the short human teacher. "Alright, I have a few spots for my class, I can take all five of you, which are you four, right?" The short homeroom teacher was pointing at the four teenagers, who nodded in response.
"Yes, also, this will only be temporary, so, can you have them as transfer students?" Vanessa asked.
Ms. Komoe was a bit puzzled on that request, but, she didn't ask why. "Very well, four of you will attend my class, and you all be in the P.E class, which is for the running track and the teacher is Yomikawa Aiho." She handed over four sheets of paper. "I need your signature of being transfer students and that you'll be at the school temporary." She handed a pen and each of the Fishmen took turns signing. "Good, if you have other suggestions on how you can help your classes then be free to tell me."
Morgan had a suggestion. "I think I can help, I can use wooden swords for duels, nothing too hard or painful." Ms. Komoe thought of the idea for a moment. "Hmm...I admit that does sound interesting. I'll be sure to share the idea with the Student counselor." Vanessa had an idea. "If you want I can help with the P.E. class, is that okay?" Ms. Komoe gave a friendly smile. "Sure thing."
Back in Anna and Yukino's room.
Anna was talking with the dragon girl. "So, how do you know Touma?" The dragon girl looked at her tilting her head. "How did you meet him or rather when did you meet him?"
"Touma...my...friend..." She spoke slowly. "He...helped me...when I was young."
Being the teacher that Anna was she was making a little progress. She remembered that Yukino mentioned Touma's memory loss after he saved her from the condition she was in. "Could it be that Touma met her way before then and that the memory loss that happened upon him made him forget this girl?" It was the only theory she could up with. Though, from the state, the girl's in, she looked like she had a long trip walk through the city due to her exhaustion and hunger.
Nikka was down the first floor of the apartment. "It sounds like that one of the Earthland wizards is here. Time for the hunt to begin." She was about to take a step until Maika appeared. "Excuse me, outsiders aren't allowed unless you have business here like seeing someone in this apartment." The demon-human hybrid didn't look back at the girl and was just silent. "Hey, did you not hear me, I said that-" Nikka quickly turned her head resulting in her hood falling off her head and revealing her face.
Mikai froze on the spot of who or what she was seeing. "You're not...not...a...human..." She had a face of fear and confusion not knowing what to make of what kind of person she was seeing.
The dragon girl's ear perked and her nose twitched seemingly catching a scent. "Argh!" She snarled like an animal on high alert.
Anna was startled a bit by the girl's snarl. "What is it, dear?" She asked as the girl just looked outside and rushed out the door. She took a few whiffs and looked like she was on alert like an animal sensing danger or a dangerous enemy. She quickly ran off. "Wait, come back!" Anna chased after her and noticed what she was doing. "Wait, the way she reacted and her nose, I heard sniffing. Is she a dragon slayer too?"
The dragon girl came to the bottom floor and stopped abruptly to see Maika unconscious and standing by her was the demon hybrid Nikka. The girl began to snarl like a wild beast ready to attack. "So, this is where you were hiding. I was told to kill anyone that gets in my way, though, this human bra wasn't worth killing." The dragon girl's glare didn't leave her face as a magic aura started to emit from her body.
Nikka giggled. "So, you're going to fight me after what the humans did to you?" Anna had arrived down and was peeking from the corner of a wall. "The humans in the city did something to that girl?" She thought in question.
"Humans saved me...the boy that lives here saved me a few years ago," The dragon girl replied slowly.
"Is that right, so, you'd rather fight for the humans and stay on our side, Sapphire?" Nikka said saying the girl's name.
"Sapphire...is that her name?" Anna questioned looking at the mysterious girl.
"Sapphire, you were the last of your kind. The Ancient ones, the Tech, Wild Ones, Archangels, and of course, my race the Devil Imps were the ones that found the gateways." Nikka continued. "The last race that was going to help us was your kind, the Ancient Dragons, the kind that has a human appearance and has dragon forms with strong magic power."
Anna couldn't believe she was hearing. "No way, there was another..." She remembered what she read in her late great-grandmother's diary. "I remember that she wrote of a race of ancient dragons that had human appearances but was able to turn in her dragon forms. However, they died out." One thing that didn't make sense. "If they all died out, how is Sapphire alive, or rather when did she get in this world."
Nikka let out a creepy chuckle. "Well, looks like our bystander is hearing much of our conversation." Anna gasped realizing that she had just found out but she had to fight regardless that she didn't have the Zodiac keys. Though, she was curious how a demon like her knew about the Ancient Ones. "Alright, you got me."
Nikka looked at her suspiciously. "Strange, why do I feel like I know you from somewhere?" Anna began to realize who she was referring to. "You must mean my great-grandmother...Annabelle." The demon-human hybrid's eyes widened with shock as she took a few steps away. "It can't...be...I thought the Heartfilla family died out since the dragon wars." Anna had a question of her own. "Your name, what is it?"
Nikka snarled in response. "To think after all these years I was trapped in this world being poked and tested like a guinea pig by traitorous humans that one of Annabelle's children was still around and didn't bother traveling to the other worlds to see them." She felt her anger create a strong power energy that shook the entire area. Anna could feel the pressure within the demon girl was growing fast. She took out a Zodiac key. "Good thing that Lucy left me one of her own for the time being." But a part of her wanted to help despite whatever was going on in the demon's head.
"Time to die!" The dark aura was emitted from the demon girl and was getting even stronger. She lunged at the Heartfilla ancestor but before she could activate the Golden Zodiac Key.
Sapphire tackled the demon-human hybrid sending her crashing into a wall. "Take the human girl and get away, alert our friends!" Anna didn't hesitate to leave though she did have faith in her new friend that she could handle the demon.
Nikka lift her legs until they were in front of Sapphire's stomach and kicked her off sending her rolling across until she crashed into a wall. Sapphire got up quickly. "I won't go down easily!" She rushed at the demon as they threw a fist at each other colliding their punches.
Gajeel's team arrived at the bank Center building.
Levy was amazed at the large number of shelves and floors that had books. "Wow, this place is huge. I'd never seen so many books in my life."
Gajeel chuckled. "Well, you're always the short stuff bookworm." He teased with a chuckle.
Levy pretended not to hear that. "Well, I think we should look for some data on the computer." Tzusuri had an idea. "I think I help with you that."
"Lily and I are going to look around the other areas," Usagi said as the black exceed nodded.
At the private salon.
Touma and Index arrived at the entrance. "I'll call Tsuchikimado to let him know we're here." He began a call and talked to his classmate, after a few minutes, he hung up. "Let's go inside."
They eventually went to the front desk and asked about the hotel room where his friend was staying. The front desk employee gave the boy the number and the floor where his classmate was staying. They took the elevator up.
Shortly, they were on the floor and went to the room where Motoharu was staying. The door opened and his classmate peeked through the door. "Come on in." Touma and Index entered to see how big the room was.
The living was large with two couches and two chairs. On the other side was a long big window. Index was amazed. "Wow, what a view!"
Stiyl cleared his throat. "C'mon, we're not here to sightsee. We're here to have the meeting." Touma and Index sat on the couch across from the one Stiyl was sitting on.
Kanzaki was standing behind the couch and Motaharu was standing against the wall. "So, did you guys find something out?"
"According to my three witches, that they saw you in the park." Touma gasped softly. "First off, that crash site that was on by the bridge, it might've been faint, though, the magic levels from the site were incredibly powerful nothing like we ever faced in our life."
"Yes, I met some of those Touma's new friends. They have magic power that was nothing I felt before. However, they don't show signs of aggression or maliciousness. Besides being noisy." Index informed.
Kanzaki had her thoughts to share. "I learned that cyborg tech that was stolen recently before the war ended. The info wasn't released to the public until a day ago." She crossed her arms. "Not sure if it's connected to the strange things that have been happening."
Touma had his details to share. "The guys I was hanging with, they said they're here in Academy to rescue some friends of theirs and two former enemies that were kidnapped." This got the other magicians' attention.
"Are you sure?" Stiyl asked.
"Yes, from the look on their faces, they seemed damn serious," Touma cursed. His mind on the pirates came to his mind but he was unsure if he tell them.
Index had another detail to share. "They also mentioned that some other friends of theirs are working with Anti-Skill, for what reason I don't know and they have two friends attending the Tokiwadai Middle School." She had more things to say. "That boy Natsu, he had a strange blue cat which has a name Happy."
"Happy...a strange name," Stiyl commented bluntly.
"Either way, that doesn't explain what enemies are doing with the kidnapped wizards," Kanzaki added.
"The woman named Erza says she thinks the enemies will make a strike," Touma informed. "I don't think she was joking around I mean I don't know her well, but she looked dead serious."
Motoharu gave this some thought. "Hmm, I think we need more eyes on the city." He walked toward the door. "Where are you going?" Touma asked.
"To make a call to someone," Motoharu replied without looking back and exited the door.
Back at the Bank Control Center.
Levy was looking for some books about Zeref's arrival here. However, none had any intel on him. "This is going to take longer than I thought." She thought. "Wait, what did Uiharu say one time."
"One time we were investigating a girl who was thought to be dead, but the librarian gave some details on her death. Though, her opinion was a conspiracy theory, but, it was worth considering." She walked over to the librarian's desk. "Excuse me, ma'am, do you happen to know about legends like "The Black Wizard"."
Tsuzuri felt a little intrigued and approached behind Levy. "Sounds like a story."
The librarian smirked. "Oh I used to read that a lot, apparently the black wizard was said to come from a faraway land and he worked with Academy City's scientists for a project. Things were going smoothly until some juicy details about his project were leaked which caused a bit of concern for the higher-ups and they sent their forces to shut them down permanently." Levy gulped at that last description. "Was there anyone else alive?"
The librarian put her finger to her chin. "There were two scientists who were shot, but, their bodies were never found. Only two opinions from the public think they died when their lab collapsed or they somehow escaped. From the rubble was removed, they searched everywhere including whatever the black wizard was making but nothing was found so the investigation was called off."
Levy put her finger to her chin this time. "So, Zeref was working with scientists to create something, no about, he was creating more demons and whatever else. Though, the project was leaked, sounds like someone from Zeref's scientist team must've told them and whoever it was never was named." She looked at the librarian and smiled. "Thank you, I appreciate your time." The librarian smiled until something else occurred to her. "Wait, I also remember reading a story about another story. About two hundred years ago, there was a strange mysterious woman that arrived in this city and the people thought she was a devil or witch. The fear from the city became so intense that they hunted her down and killed her." Levy gulped even more.
Tszurui felt a little nervous. "That sounds like overkill."
"Also, one hundred years later, a beautiful young girl with pure white sink came into the city. The men of the city saw her as a goddess or a diva. One day she fell in love with a male that lived in the city and they had a child. Some scientists thought she wasn't human and wanted to take her away for an experiment. Things got out of control when someone revealed that she wasn't human, scientists and churches hunted her down including her child out of fear."
Levy felt a little sick to hear this story but decided to let the lady continue. "Then, what happened to the lady and her daughter." The librarian frowned looking a bit sad. "Sadly the mother died, as for the child, she was never found."
Levy felt greatly worried for the lady and her daughter. "From what this woman described the woman, she wasn't an Etherious since Zeref's creations didn't love anyone not even a human. So, what kind of demon was she?" She then had one more question. "Do you know anything about the fish creature sightings that was spotted by a family?"
Librarian put her finger to her chin. "Well, I admit it does sound remarkable. I recall reading an old article about what happened about over 30 years ago. When I was a child, I read a story that a strange group of fish people came to Academy City for what reasons is not known but they were said to be captured by scientists for research. They were caught and taken to a laboratory. They were locked up for almost five months until someone released them and entire scientists were left in shambles."
Levy put her finger to her chin. "Could these fish people be Jimbei's friends Fisher Lily and her crew."
"You want to hear one more thing, I heard one of the fish wasn't a fish, but resembled a jaguar." Usagi's perked overhearing the lady's words.
Gajeel had a question. "Lady, what happened to the scientists that studied these fish?" The librarian shrugged her shoulders. "Who knows, but, I read that family that was studying the fish people were left in shambles because one of their scientists released the creatures. The scientist was never named, but the research facility was left in shambles and the entire family that owed it was ruined for life."
"Sounds like the family might've suffered financial problems after this stunt," Levy thought. "Who was the family that ruined and is there any of the family members still alive." She looked back at the librarian once more. "Well, that's all we need, thank you."
With that, she, Gajeel and the others then they left the building.
At Aiho's apartment.
Primo was checking out the data he collected from Judgement. "Hmm, sounds like Zeref was working with the scientists. Strange how they just worked with him without question. Either way, the scientists must love discovering new things." He scrolled down and saw photos of two scientists. "Huh...who are these two." He looked at the two scientists. "They look quite young probably around their teenage years. Kouta...Maria... brilliant minds." He scrolled down and looked at their day of birth and what he read next was a shock unlike him. "Wait, this article was 130 years old... are the enemies kidnapping the two Spriggan Twelve connected to these two teenage scientists?" He scrolled down once more. "They were rumored to be shot after the project was shut down and accused of creating new species and working with cyborg tech." He remembered the cyborg tech that was stolen. "Wait, did the enemies steal that cyborg technology, if so, what for?"
In Accelerator's room. He was thinking about the new guests. "Those new neighbors are hiding something and I can sense magic from them. Their magic wasn't like anything I had ever seen. What are they up to?" The Last Order jumped on his stomach causing him to cough comically. "Hey, what's the hell the idea?!"
"Geez, I was only playing "Pouts Misaka Misaka, a bit ticked that Accelerator can't just chill for once"." Last Order complained with puffed cheeks. "Anyway, I think our new neighbors are cool! We should get to hang out with them, "Suggests Misaka Misaka wanting to get to know our new friends"!"
Accelerator's cell phone began to ring. "Geez, who could be calling this time?" He opened his phone and answered it. "Who is calling?"
"Hey it's Tsuchimikado Motoharu." The albino haired teen groaned. "Oh, the pervert is calling." A light chuckle was heard. "C'mon don't be like that. Anyway, I would like to ask for a favor, regarding your new neighbors." Accelerator's eyes twitched. "How the hell do you know about them?"
"You forget I'm the guy that gets the details on strangers or details about the city," Motoharu said bluntly. "Either way, I get the feeling that another battle is going to happen probably a war. At any rate, keep an eye on your new neighbors."
B
Kuroko, Wendy, Carla, and Misaka were leaving the food section. "Well, that was great, where to next?" Misaka asked.
"I know, we should take a walk around the area, I heard there's a bridge that goes over the river," Kuroko suggested.
Wendy liked that idea. "Sounds great!" She ran off as Misaka and Kuroko were stunned by the girl's speed. "She has energy to spare."
Carla sighed. "Honestly, I think Natsu's example on her is getting to her more than I thought."
Suddenly there was an explosion from one of the buildings.
"What the hell was that?" Misaka cursed in utter shock.
Kuroko didn't like the sound of this. "Looks like someone is stirring up trouble."
Wendy and Carla felt their bodies tense as they felt a strong presence from the explosion and then a figure jumped from the smoke and landed in front of them. A powerful cold chill enveloped the spot whatever enemy landed on.
"To think...I would find two Fairy Tail wizards here," Soon Deliora Reborn walked out of the cold mist. "Nice to see my two enemies are here."
Misaka wasn't understanding what she was seeing. "What the hell is she...her appearance isn't human."
Kuroko on the other hand was having other thoughts despite her body trembling. "That thing is talking to Wendy and Carla. How does she know them...wait, did she call them wizards?"
"Who are you?" Wendy yelled trying to sound threatening.
"You don't recognize me, then again, I guess my appearance has been changed than I originally remembered. I'm Deliora Reborn." The demon introduced.
Wendy's eyes widened upon hearing that name and recognizing too. "Deliora...that's the demon that killed Gray's parents. Though, it was a male and this one is a female."
Carla couldn't believe it. "One of Zeref's demons has been reborn, how is that even possible?"
Misaka felt utterly afraid, she had faced tough opponents before but this one was different. "No...I can't let this monster get to me." She gathered her electricity. "Alright, I'm not sure why you're here or what's going on, but, it's obvious that you're here to hurt my friends." She gave the demon a challenging stare. "If you want to get to them, then you'll have to face me too." Deliora Reborn wasn't phased by the human girl's threat. "Is that a fact, then, more meat for the grinder?"
"Sissy!" Kuroko called. "We don't know what this creature is capable of!"
Misaka turned her head. "Kuroko, call Judgement right away and have them send reinforcements right away!" The pigtailed girl was surprised. "Misaka, don't be stupid, that creature isn't human and you don't what she's capable of!"
"I know that!" Misaka raised her voice. "That's another reason why you should get help, contact Judgement, and have them send anyone including Anti-Skill!"
This gave Wendy an idea. "Kuroko, I have some friends that might be at Judgement, give them my message that a demon has shown in the underground!" Kuroko couldn't understand how the blue-haired girl knew the creature, but she knew it wasn't time to for questions. "Alright, be careful! She teleported away.
"Call every human to fight it'll do you no good against this!" Deliora Reborn opened her mouth widely and energy gathered in front. "Disaster Strike!" She then released a beam stream that struck a long amount of buildings and trees setting them to explode to fiery inferno.
Misaka was stunned to see such power. "Crap...it's just as powerful as Kihara's giant large mech!"
Wendy glared at the demon and took a deep breath. "Sky Dragon's Roar!" She unleashed her breath attack at the demon who just stood still. "Got her!"
After the wind subsided, Deliora Reborn just brushed off her arms. "Not bad, but, it'll take more than a single breath attack to hurt." She smirked with a dark look. "From the attack you just used, it must've been dragon slayer magic."
Misaka gasped a bit. "Dragon slayer magic...wait, magic as in what magicians and wizards use in fairy tale books?!" She shook the thought aside. "I can't get distracted I must fight too!" She rushed at the demon spun around and lashed her leg out. Deliora Reborn caught her foot. "Nice try!" Misaka grinned. "Take this!" She released a jolt of strong electricity from her foot shocking the demon. "How do you like that?" Her grin was replaced with shock as she saw the demon grinning back at her. "Is that all a Level five can do, pathetic?" She used her free hand to grab hold of Misaka's leg and slammed her body onto the ground causing her to cough out saliva.
"Misaka!" Wendy yelled. "Carla grab her!"
Carla sprouted her wings and flew at the Railgun user snatching her away just in time. "Sky Dragon's Wing Attack!" She swung her arms blowing strong wind that blew fiercely at the demon.
Deliora Reborn shielded herself using her arms. "Not bad, her attack is getting stronger." She then grinned. "However, I ain't going to let that stop me!" She pushed through the attack and slammed her fist into the human girl's face knocking her across the ground. Wendy caught herself skidding across the ground. "She's stronger than I thought."
Carla placed Misaka on the ground. "Are you okay?" Misaka woke up instantly surprising the cat. "Who said that?" She turned to see Carla. "That was me."
The railgun use was stunned before she back away. "Wait, did you just talk, did your human form give you the ability to talk?!" Carla was afraid this would happen. "I can't explain now, but, right now, we have to get you somewhere safe!"
"Huh, you and Wendy are going to fight that thing?" Misaka questioned.
Carla walked toward the direction where Wendy was fighting the demon. "Yes, that thing is a demon known as Etherious a species of demon. It's very powerful. I suggest you go and join up with your friend and-" Misaka grabbed the cat's human wrist. "No...I can't allow you fight this monster alone, you guys helped me get back on my feet when I was all sad and mope. I want to repay you by helping you fight this monster!"
Carla was surprised to see such words coming from a girl that's clearly older than Wendy. "Such stubbornness...but, I'm not surprised." She thought before she was smiling. "Very well, just be on your guard." Misaka nodded.
Kuroko landed in a phone booth and dialed a few numbers.
Back at the Judgement headquarters.
Uiharu, Saten, and Konori and Team A were taking a break and chowing on the pizzas.
"Such manly pizza!" Elfman spoke with his mouth.
"Gracious, do you have any manners?" Konori cringed.
Happy was eaten a fish from one pizzas that was anchovy . "Hmm...it ain't raw but, it'll do."
Natsu felt full. "Man, that hit the spot." His belly was full of food.
Lucy karate chopped the fire dragon slayer on the head. "mind your manners, you flame brain!"
"His appetite is scary," Satan thought with a sweat drop.
Yukino was eating a pepperoni pizza. "It's quite delicious."
"Hope you don't eat too much," Happy joked holding back his laugh until a fist knocked on the head. "Ow..."
"Watch what you say cat!" Lucy grumbled as heat emitted from her fist.
"Wow, she's so strong," Uiharu squealed a little frightened.
Satan heard her phone ring. "Hello, this is Satan." She was listening to the caller and her eyes widened. "What a demon is attacking Misaka and Wendy!"
Natsu's instinct shot.
"O-okay, did you get the attacker's name?!" Satan asked. "Uh-huh...Deliora Reborn, what is-" The phone was quickly snatched from her hand by Natsu. "Hey, how is Wendy and Carla, are they okay?"
"Ow, who the hell is this?" Kuroko cringed rubbing her ear from the outburst.
"Tell me, how is Wendy and Carla!" Natsu demanded.
Bonk
"Idiot, stop with the shouting!" Lucy knocked out the fire dragon slayer and took the cell phone. "Sorry, that was my friend Natsu, I believe we met at the park, Kuroko!"
Kuroko realized she was talking to them. "I see, you were one of the people that was acquainted with Kamijou!" She quickly dismissed the thought. "Anyway, Misaka and Wendy even the kitty are fighting the monster! We need help!"
"We're on our way!" Lucy hung the phone up. "You guys, we need a cab right away!"
"All cabs will be off the streets if something that dangerous is attacking the streets!"
"Do you have a car?" Lucy asked.
"Yes, but, I'll need someone to take care of the office!" Konori replied.
Uiharu stood up. "Konori, take these guys to their friend in the underground, Satan and I will remain here!" The chief understood and nodded. "You guys, I'll give you a ride!"
"Yay!" Natsu, Lucy, Yukino, and Elfman roared.
M
Somewhere in the city, Lahara's group was walking on the sidewalk. "Geez, nothing out of the ordinary yet." Kovu groaned.
"This trip is about sightseeing," Joan reminded.
Kovu scoffed. "I know that I was hoping to fight an enemy." Mest once again felt like he was seeing Natsu in his old teammate.
Stomp Stomp
"What was that?"
Nearby was Kinuhata who also felt the big thud. "What the devil was that?"
Kovu's animal instincts kicked in and looked down the street. "Look over there!" A giant cyborg-like hornet was walking looking and turning its head. It stopped and fired laser cannons at the ground creating a big explosion.
"What the world is that?" Aiho asked a little stunned.
"Whoa, that was powerful!" Kinuhata exclaimed amazed at the robot's laser cannon.
Mest saw citizens running for their lives and children scared. "Damn it, in a place like this!" He turned to his comrades. "Lahara, you and I will get every person away from here as quickly as we can!"
Lahara nodded. "Right, Kovu and Joan, stall that cyborg menace as much as you can!" Kovu smirked. "At last, a strong opponent."
"This isn't a good thing!" Joan snapped comically as she sprouted white pure wings.
Kinuhata saw the new people. "Who are they?" She saw Kovu and Joan heading toward the cyborg hornet. "Does that chick have wings?" Aiho didn't know what to think of what she was seeing but the time for questions would have to wait. "I'll call for Tsuzuri and other Anti-Skill agents to help with the citizens!"
"Time to show my Ancient Take-Over Magic!" Kovu declared strongly as he began his size changed drastically and he became a tyrannosaurus-like creature with crimson red scale-like skin and with dark, black stripes that followed the length of his body. "Rex Diablo!" He roared and bit on the hornet's insect-like arm.
The cyborg hornet swung off Kovu causing him to crash hard on the ground.
At another location of the attack.
Team C overheard the explosion.
"What the hell was that?" Cana asked.
Erza felt a strong presence, a dangerous one. "Looks like we have an enemy to deal with." Before she could react she felt her portable communication activate. "Anna, what is it?"
"We got in trouble at Touma's apartment, we were just attacked!" Anna replied in an alarming tone. "It appeared to be a female demon!"
"Female demon, what is-" Erza began to ask, but Anna interrupted. "I have no time to explain much, but the girl we found, her name is Sapphire and she's fighting the demon alone I have Maika the maid, she's unconscious."
"What?" Erza questioned in shock. "I see...I'll send someone to help her!" She quickly deactivated her portable communication lacrima. "You guys listen, the situation has changed, someone at Touma's apartment attacked Anna, and she managed to escape with the maid Maika!"
"That's horrible!" Juvia exclaimed in utter shock.
"Damn it, the enemies have just started their attack and just doing it during the day!" Gray growled.
"Listen, I'll go and assist the girl we found at Touma's apartment!" Erza ordered. "Rufus, Juvia, Cana, Gray, you guys go to Mest's location and assist in the fight against the enemy!"
"Right!"
"Requip" Erza declared as her body began to glow golden light. "Black Wing Armor!" She equiped in black armor with silver trimming that has silver crosses several places. She had two wings that have black metal "arms" acting as wings leading to structure. Erza's hair was tied in ponytail. "This armor only allows me to fly for short distance, but, I'll use my Observation Haki to find Anna's attacker." She ran for a while before she jumped off a car and flew in the air.
A few citizens were watching nearby and one was video recording her.
"Oh man, there's a chick flying!"
"Wow, is she wearing some kind of armor!"
"She looks so hot!"
"I wonder if she's got a boyfriend."
Anna was taking a cab with Maika still unconscious. "I'm sorry." She whispered feeling a bit shamed and hoped Sapphire would be safe.
Sapphire and demon girl Nikka were fighting as hard throwing their fists at each other with all their might.
"To think that is all the ancient dragons can do." Nikka taunted barely had broken a sweat.
Sapphire felt utterly tired. "I still haven't recovered properly from my escape. Either that or my fighting skills have gotten rusty." She glared at the demon. "Still, I want allow to harm anyone and includes Touma's home!" She and Nikka lunged at each other once more.
The fight has begun, and the enemies have unleashed their first attack. What will be the outcome, find out next time.
