Uraraka felt like Bakugo was remembering something about his childhood. Even Bakugo felt something come over Uraraka and remembered her walking through the trail with her parents. They both looked around as if they could watch it both right in front of them. They felt like they were watching a memory together.

Uraraka could see what Bakugo was doing, but it was kind of hard to tell what was going on. As she kept watching however, it started to clear up as he kept walking with his parents, Midoriya and his mom. They were racing each other, but Bakugo was beating Midoriya. Bakugo's smile brightened up the memory once he got to this view. Something about it just felt so satisfying to see him finally get to the top. It was like that's all he ever wanted to do was see that beautiful view.

Bakugo could see what Uraraka was doing with her parents as she ran through the trail. She was put down by her dad that was sitting on his shoulders. She was a bit tired from the trail, but she wanted to keep going. She noticed how happy her parents were and wanted to keep going. She liked seeing them so happy and excited to be doing this with her. They kept walking so they could get a good view. Once she got to the top however, she wasn't looking where she was going and bumped into someone.

Something connected.

Uraraka widened her eyes when she saw herself bumping into Bakugo. She was a little girl who had been hiking up this trail with her parents. Midoriya stood there with Bakugo and tried to help her up. Bakugo picked up on him, but ended up saying something to her that she remembered clear as day.

"Sorry about Deku here. He wanted a race, but I just came here to see the view."

Bakugo widened his eyes when he saw himself standing there as Uraraka bumped into him. Something about it felt familiar. He watched Deku try to help her up as she rubbed her head. Bakugo picked on him, which made him flinch a little. He didn't remember much of this at all, but something about this exchange definitely cleared up some things. Once Bakugo and Deku helped her up, she said something that just clicked with his memory.

"Sorry for bumping into you. I just wanted to see my mommy and daddy smile."

Then they felt themselves snap out of it and looked at each other. Their eyes widened in shock at what just happened. They couldn't even speak for a moment as they realized what just happened.

"Uraraka, did you just feel that?" Bakugo asked her with a stunned expression.

"Wait, you felt that too?" Uraraka asked back with the same stunned expression.

"Ye-Yeah... I saw... me... as a little kid..." Bakugo said to her, still surprised.

"I saw... me too... as a little kid..." Uraraka said back, still surprised.

Uraraka and Bakugo stood there and took a minute to calm down. They looked at the view, and Uraraka felt something different. Even Bakugo felt a little bit of static. Something was going on and this trail was triggering either their feelings and memories or maybe even Kitsune's quirk.

"Bakugo... I... I think I know what's going on..." Uraraka explained to him, "You've been on this trail before... I can feel it... You were little so it might not have meant that much to you back then... But..."

"Yeah... I remember..." Bakugo said back, "I was racing Deku... All I wanted was to see that view... That's all I cared about... Then..."

"I bumped into you..." Uraraka confessed, "The person you bumped into... It was me. You, me and Deku... We've met before. Way before U.A..."

Bakugo's eyes widened in shock to realize that they really were both seeing the same thing.

"I remember bumping into someone, I just... I had no idea that it was you this entire time," Uraraka said to him, "I remember Izuku... reaching out to me, and you told me something that always stuck out with me... You apologized for Deku, but you might've been picking on him. He just wanted to race, and you... you just wanted to see the view."

Bakugo didn't even remember saying that. He just remembered what she said. Something about it just felt uplifting like her quirk.

"I remember you... bumping into me... I didn't ever think much of it," Bakugo said to her, "All I wanted was to see that view at the top of the trail. Something about it just felt so inspiring. I always liked seeing what was at the top of the trail. Then you bumped into me. I might've been a jerk back then, but I remember what you said. You apologized, and all you wanted to see your mom and dad smile."

Uraraka's eyes widened in shock to realize that they knew each other before they even entered U.A. It might've been for just that one moment, but something about it felt really special to her and maybe even him. She couldn't believe this, and even he had this same look on his face.

They stood there for a moment just quietly looking out at the view. The mist started to clear up, making the clouds disappear as well as the sun streamed down through the trees. It felt warmer than usual as Uraraka and Bakugo felt so light and open.

"I think I get it now," Uraraka said to him, "You really like hiking not because of the walk, but what it feels like to get to the top. It's rewarding to finally see what you've been working towards. That's why you work so hard to be the number one hero. Yes, you can be a bit of a jerk sometimes, but you're determined and headstrong. I'd say that's a quality worth admiring."

Bakugo's eyes widened, shocked to hear her talk about him with so much passion and calmness to it. It wasn't something he ever thought she'd ever see in him. Something about it felt so natural, that he felt something connect. He felt a little awkward standing there, not saying anything back.

"W-Well, I guess... I kind of understand you a little better," Bakugo said to her, "You really care about the people around you. I'd say it's a little similar to Deku which isn't surprising. But there's something different about it. You like to help others just to see them smile and not for yourself. You can be a bit stubborn at times and don't know when to back down, but I guess... that can be pretty... inspiring to some people."

Uraraka's eyes widened, shock to hear him talk about her like this. He clearly was having a hard time trying to talk about this, but she didn't mind. He wasn't good at this sort of thing. She just appreciated that he was trying to understand her better. Something about it felt more natural than forced.

"There's actually something I want to know," Bakugo said to her as he scratched the back of his head, "You know why I want to become a hero. But, I don't know why you want to. Is there a reason why you entered U.A. in the first place?"

Uraraka was surprised that he even wanted to know about this. It made her feel so good about talking to him about pretty much anything at this point.

"Well, I talked to Iida and Izuku about this a long time ago," Uraraka told him, "I want to become a hero for my parents. You see, my parents own a construction site, but we haven't been doing very well for a long time. I finally got my provisional license, so I could help them with their heavy lifting equipment. Unfortunately, my dad wants me to not worry about them. He told me to go after my own dream of becoming a hero. But..."

Bakugo could tell that she took on this kind of thing all on her own. Something about it seemed to bother her.

"All I ever wanted was to get my provisional license, become a pro hero, make tons of money and make sure my parents have an easier life. They've done so much for me, always coming home looking so tired all the time. All I ever wanted was to see them smile and enjoy some time to themselves. That's why I came here, to U.A.," Uraraka explained to him.

Bakugo's eyes widened as silence filled the air between them. Something about what she said made him feel something. She didn't look away from the view as she told him everything. He had never heard any of this before, and it seemed so much different than anything he'd ever heard before. No other classmates in his class ever had a reason for coming to U.A., at least not this grounded. This wasn't about getting rich and famous to get attention. She didn't even seem to care about that.

This was about doing something for her parents and helping them through something.

Something about it felt so much more than he ever expected. He looked at her and felt like she was much different than the girl he fought at the Sports Festival. She felt like someone that already knew who she was, and what kind of hero she wanted to be.

The wind picked up, and they felt a cool breeze swirling all around them. Uraraka and Bakugo felt a static shock coming over their hands. They looked down to see this weird blue static running up and down their fingers. Something about it felt a little enlightening as their hands were being pulled towards one another. Before they could react, their hands got pulled towards each other's and connected.

Then they suddenly felt that blue static get stronger as the wind picked up. It ran up and down their arm and all around them as their eyes glowed blue. The static was a bit stronger than they expected, and they felt something come over them as the static ran all around them. For a moment, they could feel what the other was feeling as the static grew stronger.

Then just like that, it stopped. The static zapped at them, and they both fell down to the ground. They felt out of breath they as tried to gather themselves. Something about it felt a little weird, but then the static never came back.

Uraraka felt her head since she got a slight headache from the static shock. She felt a little dizzy as she tried to get up.

"Bakugo. What was that?" Uraraka asked him as she tried to get up, "That was really weird, wasn't it?"

"Yeah. That was a little bizarre," Bakugo said back as he looked back at her.

Uraraka felt a little dizzy still and felt her foot trip on a rock. She almost fell on the ground, but Bakugo caught her. But then they both realized something crazy. They weren't looking at themselves anymore.

"Ur-Uraraka?!" Bakugo cried out.

"B-Bakugo?!" Uraraka cried out.

Bakugo helped her up and realized they were back to normal. Their eyes were wide, and they couldn't believe it. They had actually done it all by themselves.

"W-We switched back?!" Uraraka cried out, "We actually did it!"

"It looks that way. I can't believe we actually managed to pull this off," Bakugo said back.

Uraraka smiled and was so happy that she ended up hugging Bakugo. She didn't let go, and Bakugo let her have this since they were finally back to normal. He couldn't help but smile when he saw her crying tears of joy. Then he noticed that she accidentally had used her quirk on them. They were now floating above the trail.

"Uraraka? Don't let go. You're making us float," Bakugo said to her.

Uraraka looked down, feeling even more excited to have her quirk back. She didn't want to let go anyway, not when her and Bakugo had finally understood one another. She felt so good as she held onto Bakugo's hands that he that wouldn't go floating off.

"Bakugo..." Uraraka said to him, "So... you understand. You finally understand why I'm doing this. Why I'm here in U.A.?"

Bakugo's eyes widened and felt a little lighter as she spoke. Something about her just felt so different now, and he couldn't pinpoint what it was. She just gave him a feeling that he's never had before.

"Yeah... I guess I do," Bakugo said to her, "I'd say what you're doing... It's much more heroic than anything else I've ever seen. You're not doing it for the money or fame, which to be honest might be stupid to some people, but... something about it feels different from all of those other extras."

Uraraka felt tears floating out of her eyes as she held onto his hands.

"I'm so glad that you know. I just want you to know that you're one of the reasons I'm stronger," Uraraka said to him, "That day at the Sports Festival, I might've lost, but it helped me lot. I really admire how strong you are, even if you can be annoying sometimes. The way you keep going... it's very inspiring."

Bakugo's eyes widened, feeling a slight blush across his face forming. Her eyes were glowing which made him feel a little calm for some reason. He tried to avoid looking at her, but there was no where for them to go.

"Umm... Uraraka. Maybe we should get down," Bakugo said to her as he noticed they were floating up the trees.

"Oh! Right," Uraraka said back as she looked at the ground.

They were much higher than she expected. She looked at Bakugo and knew that he could help her out with this one.

"We're too high. I'm gonna need you to use your quirk to get us closer to the ground," Uraraka said to him.

Bakugo understood and hesitated to hold onto her. He soon grabbed onto her waist and directed his arm behind him and towards the sky. They ended up launching closer to the ground, and Uraraka got ready to use her quirk. People noticed them as they flew by, leaving them awestruck. Uraraka felt him hold onto her and noticed how tight he held her. She smiled and got ready to help them out. Once they got close enough to the ground, she deactivated her quirk, and they landed somewhat elegantly.

Bakugo let her down, feeling a little embarrassed to be holding her like that. She couldn't help but smile at how red he was. She smiled even more, realizing they really were back to normal. Their quirks were finally theirs, and they were back in their bodies. She felt so relieved to finally be back that she could collapse from exhaustion from the trail.

"I can't believe that we're back to normal!" Uraraka cried out, "I have my quirk back! I never thought that I'd miss it so much!"

"Yeah. I've gotta admit, it feels pretty good," Bakugo said to her, "Your quirk is cool, but mine is so much better."

Uraraka could tell that he was teasing, and she elbowed him in the ribs. She couldn't help but laugh, feeling so happy to be here with him.

"Aren't you glad that I brought you out here now?" Uraraka asked him, "This trail ended up being pretty crazy."

"Fine. I guess I'm glad that you brought us here," Bakugo said back, "If you hadn't, I probably still be yelling at Deku or maybe even floating that little pervert to the ceiling."

Uraraka laughed at how funny this whole thing was that she brought tears to her eyes. Bakugo felt a little awkward standing there while she laughed as people walked by her.

"What the hell are you laughing at now?" Bakugo asked her.

"I-I'm sorry, I just can't believe that this even happened to us," Uraraka said back while she laughed, "Come on, it's pretty funny. Us two of all people for this to happen."

Bakugo couldn't help but feel a laugh coming up as he thought about it some more. Now that things were back to normal, Bakugo really couldn't believe that this happened. He looked at her and that was it. He laughed along with her, feeling tears coming up in his eyes. They laughed for a while there, causing others to look at them with confused looks on their faces.

They didn't care about that. They were just so glad to finally be back to normal.
