After classes with Garrett, Gabby was sitting at her computer, typing happily on a blog she started last year called Royal Page. On this blog, Gabby liked to write about things that made her happy, give out advice she had for people with all kinds of issues and how to stay positive, and sometimes artwork and creative writing. Today, Gabby just finished writing the last part of a short story she was writing about a baby sheep that lost its family and met a wild mare who decided to take care of her.

And so, the horse and the lamb came to realize that you don't need to look the same to be family, because it's not about being related by blood. It's about accepting each other, and always keeping each other safe and loved. That's just what Mama Mare did with Little Lamb. And they lived Happily Ever After. The End.

"There!" Gabby smiled. "I hope everyone likes it. What did you think, Artoo?"

Artoo beeped as if to say, "If I had tears, they'd be falling from how beautiful that was."

"Aww. You're so sweet, Artoo." And Gabby kissed Artoo's dome.

Gabby was very passionate about her blog. According to reviews, people felt inspired by many of her stories, found her art and family photos to be adorable, and since her parents helped her make it a subscription blog, she was able to make a little money for herself, and draw up a lot of good publicity for her family and even the Jedi when she wrote what she called her Force of Memory page, where she posted pictures of special moments she made with various Jedi over the years, and shared the stories behind them.

Just then, Gabby heard the sound of someone in distress.

"Unbelievable!" Boba groaned from his room.

Gabby walked in to see what was going on.

"Boba? What's wrong, Big Brother?"

"Apparently my dancing. Remember when we first met Uncle Carmine and his family?"

"Yeah, why?"

"Well, look."

Boba clicked an icon on his computer, and it showed the concert from a few years back, and Boba, Gabby, and some of their friends were dancing on stage with Count Crescendo. Gabby thought it looked amazing and felt nostalgic to see a five-year-old her dancing. But, Boba was concerned about the comments.

"Look at this one." Boba said.

TigerJay1342: Boba Fett? More like Boba Two Left Feet.

IrisDream423: I wonder if he bounty hunted better than he dances.

SkyCloud98: Boba dances like a squirrel with a rash!

"That last one doesn't even make any sense!" Boba said angrily. "I'll give them a piece of my mind!"

Boba started to type some stuff, but Gabby stopped him.

"Boba, wait. None of that stuff is true. Look at the video again." Gabby said, playing the video again. "See? Look how much fun we were all having. We weren't thinking about what people were gonna say. We all just danced our own way."

"Yeah, but I was younger back then. More naive."

"I was younger then too. I'm gonna be eight soon, and look how much bigger I am now, but I still get comments about being short. But even though it's true I'm short now, I won't always be. I changed over time, and even if you weren't exactly a professional dancer then, you've improved a lot. I mean, you're a cheerleader! You danced with Roya at your coronation ball, and you're also great at so many other things. You can play guitar, you're strong in battle, you can pilot and name almost any ship, and who was the one who helped me improve my aim so I could beat that water squirting game at the carnival?"

Boba couldn't help smiling when he remembered helping Gabby train for that, only for it to turn into a big water fight between the two of them, and both ended up soaked and their father had to dry them off before they could catch a cold. But it was all worth it because Gabby was able to win the seahorse plush she'd been eyeing.

"How is it that even after all the crazy things we've gone through you're still made of sunshine?"

"I don't know. Comes naturally, I guess."

"Come here."

And Boba pulled his sister into a big hug like he always did and spun her around.

"Wow! You're starting to get heavy." Boba said, placing Gabby down.

"That's what happens when you grow up. But hey, Leia and Luke are still little. They're good for a spinning hug. You don't need the holo-net to tell you that every moment you get with family is precious, no matter what the size. Speaking of size, I promise Mom I wouldn't be late to get fitted for my new dress."

And off Gabby went.

Boba couldn't help feeling a feeling he couldn't explain as his sister took off. He looked at a picture on his desk from when he and Gabby were much younger. It was a picture of Boba and Gabby on the first time they ever went to a carnival together. That particular day, Boba remembered their parents got them ice cream, but then some rowdy kid ran into three-year-old Gabby and made her drop hers on the ground, and she got so upset. So, Boba shared his ice cream with her to help her feel better, and it worked. But Gabby also got vanilla all over her face, which made Boba laugh, and that was shown clearly in the picture. It was amazing to think that the adorable toddler Boba met not that long ago was already so big, in second grade now, and running a successful blog that could help her through college someday.

Jingles meowed, then he purred as he rubbed up against Boba's legs, prompting his owner to pick him up into his lap and scratch the cat's ears.

"You know, Jingles, I wonder if this is how Mom and Dad feel when they say how fast I'm growing up." Boba said.

At school the next day, it was just a day like any other. Everyone arrived at school, ready for another day of learning (or falling asleep in class). High school could be a brutal place, but that all depends on how you handle it.

"Have a good day, son." said Mr. Hall, ruffling Vince's hair.

"Dad!" Vince whined, fixing his hair.

Vince loved his father, and was glad that he was making an effort to be home more, but sometimes it bugged him when he seemed to treat Vince like a baby. But, he wouldn't have it any other way. He and his dad were growing close again, and that was how he liked it. For now, Vince grabbed his backpack, but found it to be oddly heavier than normal.

"I've heard of heavy learning, this is ridiculous." Vince said.

"You probably just packed too much. Now go and have a great day." Mr. Hall said.

"Bye, Dad."

And off Vince went into the building, coming across his friends before the first period started.

It was first period Biology class today, and the teacher, Mrs. Krayman, called for everyone to pay attention.

"Alright, class. Today, we're going to do something a little more interesting. As you know, we've been studying DNA for the last week, and today we are going to build models using various materials you've been provided today on your desks."

Sure enough, on all the tables, there were various boxes of rods and different colored balls, clay, and markers from the art room to be used in this project.

"Before we begin, however. Everyone, please pass your homework to the front of the room."

Vince opened his backpack to get his notebook to hand in his homework, when something else popped out in the form of a dalmatian puppy with a pink collar.

"Maggie! How'd you get in there?" Vince gasped.

A few weeks ago, feeling bad that he couldn't undo the action of sending Vince's dog Archie away, Mr. Hall decided to talk to the shelter where Vince worked at, and when he learned that Vince bonded pretty well with the new dalmatian puppies, he decided to let Vince adopt one.

And Maggie was a very sweet pooch. But also very playful, and at the moment she held Vince's notebook in her mouth.

"Maggie, that's my notebook. Give it here, please." Vince said, trying to take the notebook, but Maggie thought it was a game and tried to pull it away. "Maggie, drop it!"

Vince managed to get the notebook away, but Mrs. Krayman noticed there was a puppy in here.

"Vince, is that your dog?" asked the teacher.

"Um… yes, Mrs. Krayman. I swear, I didn't know she was in my bag. I'll call my dad to take her home."

Vince tried to pick up his puppy, but she ran away barking.

"Come back here, Maggie!"

Vince ran after his puppy, but she was really fast! Maggie ran all the way into the hallway and ran across the school, causing trouble as she ran past students or teachers walking through the hall, and even ran into a couple classrooms, one of which was Omega's literature class.

"Hey, isn't that Vince's puppy?" Omega asked no one in particular. She tried to grab Maggie, but the puppy dodged her too and stole her jacket. "Hey! My jacket!"

And Omega was running after Maggie too, and then Maggie ran into the classroom where Myra was in Psychology class.

"Maggie? What are you doing here?" Myra asked the puppy, but the puppy just ran away from her too, and when Myra ran after her, she bumped right into Vince, and they both fell to the floor, Myra landing on Vince's stomach.

"Huh. Talk about falling for someone," joked Vince.

"Not funny, Vince." Myra said, getting up.

And that was when Maggie came over and started licking Vince's face.

"Okay, but that's cute." Myra chuckled.

Myra helped Vince up, but then Maggie ran off again.

"Not again!" Vince groaned.

So, Vince ran after his puppy again, following her all the way to the pool, where Vince tried to stop her from going into the water in case she couldn't swim, only to slip and fall into the water himself.

"HELP!" Vince screamed. "Can't swim! Get me a life preserver!"

Luckily, Myra came over too, and got a sense of deja vu.

"Vince! Just stand up." Myra shouted.

Vince didn't seem to hear Myra. So, rolling her eyes, Myra used the Force and got Vince standing.

"Oh. This is the shallow end." Vince said awkwardly.

Maggie stood by the edge of the pool, panting and wagging her tail when she saw her owner.

"Why do I get the feeling you're gonna be the death of me?"

Vince's dad came over to get the puppy, but Vince was soaking wet. Luckily, he had his uniform for work to change into. But he felt so humiliated for the rest of the day. At lunch, the football players started to nickname him Wet Dog and Sinker when they heard he freaked out after falling into the pool because of his dog. But, Myra set them straight.

"I won't tell you again, Mike!" Myra growled, pressing Mike against the wall. "My dad's packing a lightsaber, and I won't hesitate to use it on you if I have to!"

Myra and her friends were pretty sure Mike wet his pants after that, but it didn't help Vince's situation, especially after school when the twins went to visit Vince at work, and to look for some toys. After Gabby found Maggie when she was lost a few weeks back and seeing how well she and Omega took care of her, Padme and Anakin finally decided they would let the girls get a dog. They just had to prepare and then pick a pup.

Vince showed the twins a video someone posted on the holo-net showing the humiliating experience he'd had chasing Maggie all over school and then falling over the pool. An epic fail vid, calling him the school's wet dog.

"And now it's out there for the whole galaxy to see!" Vince groaned, finishing cleaning a litter box. "This stinks!"

"The litter box or the video?" Boba asked, holding his nose.

"Both." Vince said, adjusting the mask he put over his nose and mouth.

"Hey, Boba. What do you think of this one?" Omega asked, picking up a squeaky hamburger.

"That one's cute, sis." Boba said. "Hey, Vince. It could be worse. People post videos about our family all the time. You should've seen when that Juicy Jedi Gossip site was on."

"Oh, yeah. I saw that." Vince said. "The whole school talked about it before you joined the alma mater."

"You didn't see what it led to." Omega said. "I almost got taken away from my family forever because of it."

"Really?"

"Yep. But as you can probably guess, they won me back."

Vince sighed as he finished cleaning.

"I still can't believe I freaked out at the shallow end again!"

Vince was so embarrassed; he felt sure he was going to have to ask his father to let him just do homeschooling.

"I thought Master Fisto said you were doing well with swimming lessons." Omega said.

Lately, Vince had been taking private swimming lessons. He'd always managed to hide the fact that he didn't know how to swim at age sixteen, and he was embarrassed to admit it to anyone. So, he got private teachers. Since Kit Fisto was a naturally great swimmer, he volunteered to tutor Vince in swimming.

"Yeah, I was until someone geysered me into a tree."

Vince pointed to Boba from behind his hand.

"I said I was sorry a thousand times!" Boba defended.

"How did that happen?" Omega asked.

"Well…."

Two weeks ago….

Vince felt a little strange being in a swimsuit. He hadn't worn one since he was little, and back then he only knew how to sit in a kiddie pool, where he used to love playing with his toy boat.

"Alright, Vince. Ready to get back into the water?" Kit said.

"I… I think so." Vince said nervously.

Last lesson, Vince simply had to get in the water. After hearing Vince's tragic past of losing his mom and almost drowning in a terrible shipwreck, Kit figured in order to help Vince with swimming, he first needed to get reacquainted with the water, see that it wouldn't hurt him the same way it had before. Vince had shaken as he stuck his feet into the water and slowly walked deeper in until it reached up to his waist, and not just because the water was cold. Now, he was actually learning how to stay afloat in the water.

Master Fisto told Vince to relax and just let himself float on the water. Naturally, Vince was terrified by that. But, Kit he'd hold onto him until he was ready to float on his own, and he did. Vince found it not so bad at first. Then, all of a sudden, the Room of a Thousand Fountains started to shake, and then some of the water just gushed up like a bunch of geysers, one of them being strong enough to lift Vince into the air and drop him in one of the trees.

But it turned out the Room of a Thousand Fountains wasn't the only one affected. It turned out Boba was having a tutoring session with Garrett. He was practicing making shapes out of water while he swam, but he may have given the spell a little too much gas, and by that, it meant Boba got a little too excited, and his power spread to other bodies of water within the Temple, which meant the Jedi needed to call in a plumber or ten.

"Can I get a little help here, please?!" Vince shouted frantically from up in the tree.

"Vince, let go of the tree." Kit said.

"What?! Are you insane?!"

"Trust me. You will be safe. I will catch you."

Vince was hesitant, but with a frightened yell, he let go… and then Kit caught him with the Force and gently lowered him to the ground.

Vince was relieved to be on the ground, but now he was afraid to get near the water again.

Present Day…

"So that's why Dad said we had to watch our step in the Temple. And it explains all the Wet Floor signs." Omega said.

"Except, now I can't get into the water because I keep thinking it's gonna shoot me out again like I was blocking the pipes or something." Vince said.

"Well, you try only having powers for a year and trying to cram in ten years' worth of magic lessons." Boba said. "If I'd been born with magic, I'd be just two years away from enchanted college." Then Vince got a confused look, to which Boba explained. "Enchanteds are fully grown into their magic when they turn sixteen, regardless of species, and even so, they have a lot to learn. At least no one was able to get that incident on camera. It was pretty embarrassing for me too. And I literally live with my teacher, so it's kinda hard to hide from him, even in a palace."

Vince could understand the feeling of trying to hide, but finding no escape.

"I may not have magic, or the accomplishment of overcoming my fear of water, but I do know one thing." Vince said, walking over to where Omega was looking at the pet toys. He picked out what looked like a little donut of some kind. "If you're getting a puppy soon, you'll want one of these teething toys for them. Maggie loves these things."

"I could guess that," chuckled Omega. "You should've seen how Grandpa reacted when he found her chewing on his boots, though."

"I've lost count how many times he's left a human-shaped hole in the wall." Boba said. "Seriously, it's like a classic cartoon or something."

Vince laughed and said, "Yeah, Maggie can be trouble, but she's worth it. And she's progressing with her training. Have you guys thought about what kind of dog you're getting? I can keep you up to date on the pups up for adoption."

That was when a cat jumped up onto the counter.

"Oh no. Miko got out of his cage again." Vince groaned. "Here, kitty."

Vince went after the cat, only for the cat to jump off again.

"Hey, Thora, mind helping these two? Got a cat to catch!" Vince said, rushing after the runaway feline.

"The animals love him, but they also love to mess with him," chuckled Thora, another worker.

A few days later, Omega was on her computer, doing a little research on different kinds of dogs. She and Gabby were so excited to be getting a dog, but their parents told them they needed to agree on what kind of dog to get, and since the dog was for both of them, they would need to work together to take care of it. They needed to pick one that was not too big, not too small, and would consent to both girls' personalities.

Mila's dog Chika panted as she sat by the couch, watching the two girls. After Mila and Tech got married, Chika moved in too. So, Mila let Omega and Gabby help take care of her so they could practice taking care of their own dog. It was fairly easy since Chika was trained; a puppy was another story.

Omega checked out a site for the shelter Vince worked at. It didn't just link to that particular shelter either. There were a bunch of them, all with animals up for adoption, including dogs.

"Maybe we can get a golden retriever." Omega said, pulling up a picture of one. "They're a lot of fun, and with all our energy, it'd be perfect. What do you think, Gabby?"

But, Gabby didn't seem to be listening. She was looking at her phone, looking a bit upset.

"Gabby?"

"Hmm?" Gabby looked up from her phone and said, "Yeah, that's nice."

But Omega could tell something was off.

"Gabby, what's wrong?"

"Nothing. It's nothing." Gabby said, clearly not fine. "I need some air."

So, Gabby left to go outside. But, Omega still worried about her little sister, and Chika whimpered; she could tell something was bothering Gabby too. Gabby didn't even pick up her phone once at dinner, but she also didn't seem too interested in dinner either, and lasagna was being served; one of her favorites.

"Gabby? Is everything alright?" Padme said. "You've hardly touched your food."

"I'm fine. I'm just tired." Gabby said, poking at her food again. "I think I need to go to bed early."

That drew some concern in her parents though. Normally, when lasagna was served, Gabby was downing it and then practically pounced on the table for seconds. But tonight, she hardly touched it. Something was wrong. Anakin didn't need Force sensing to tell.

Gabby's parents went to her room, where they found a big lump in her bed.

"Gabby?" Padme said. "Can we talk?"

Gabby didn't answer.

"Sweetheart. Is something wrong? You haven't been yourself lately."

Again, Gabby didn't answer her mother. So, Anakin tried talking to her.

"Gabby? Princess?" Anakin gently pulled the blanket down to find Gabby in her pajamas. She didn't look happy. "Come on, won't you talk to Daddy?"

Gabby wouldn't speak to Anakin either.

"Gabby? Come on! Where's that little ray of sunshine we know and love?" Anakin said, gently tickling Gabby's side. No response. "Come on! Not even a giggle?"

Gabby just pulled the blanket over her head again. Anakin looked around and found something in Gabby's toy box.

"Hey, Gabby. Remember your bouncy friend here?"

Anakin pulled the blanket down again and showed Gabby an old Tigger plushy, which said "Hoo, hoo, hoo, hoo!" when Anakin squeezed the toy's tummy. And Anakin playfully made the toy give Gabby kisses. That always cheered Gabby up… except for tonight. Instead, she slapped the toy away angrily.

"Daddy! I'm not three years old anymore! I'm tired, don't you get that?" Gabby said, pulling the blanket back up. "Just leave me alone."

"Baby, we're just worried about you." Padme said. "Is someone bothering you at school?"

"No! And I just wanna go to bed."

"You don't want to hear your grandpa read a story tonight? He's reading your favorite book tonight."

"Hmph. Like a book's gonna care if I read it."

Anakin and Padme weren't sure what to make of that, but Gabby made it clear by the thundering cloud appearing in her room that she was upset and wanted to be alone.

"Okay, Gabby. You clearly need some time alone." Anakin said. "But we're here if you wanna talk."

The moment they shut the door, Gabby's parents could hear the girl crying. But the thing was, it wasn't just today Gabby had been acting off. Three days ago, Gabby had been getting off her computer to join the others for dinner, but Shmi noticed Gabby was looking at her phone and looking worried.

Shmi asked her if something was wrong, but Gabby dismissed it as nothing.

Two days ago, Gabby was on a playdate after school with Turha and Ahsoka, but the two Togrutas noticed Gabby looking at her phone and seeming upset by something. Ahsoka tried asking Gabby what was wrong, but Gabby just said she was feeling sick and left early. And yesterday, when Carmine was helping the kids with their musical practice, Gabby kept playing all the lowest keys on her keyboard, which Carmine took as a sign something was bothering her. But Gabby just banged her fists on the keyboard and left the room.

Padme and Anakin were worried about their daughter. They weren't sure what was going on, so they asked Goldie, Lamenta, and Mona if any of them noticed Gabby acting off at school, or if anyone was picking on her. They all said nothing seemed off at school. No one was picking on Gabby, but Gabby wasn't interested in doing anything at recess, and she wasn't very talkative in reading class either, and that was her favorite class.

But, if school wasn't the problem, what was?

Anakin knew Gabby needed something to cheer her up. So, he decided to bring something to her.

Gabby was basically knocked out on her pillow when her father came in with something for her. Anakin didn't wake her for it though.

Anakin pulled out a little box with a key on it. Qui-Gon gave Carmine a music box once that played his special lullaby for him. So, naturally, for the first birthday he celebrated with Anakin, he made him a music box too, but this one played a different song. It played "You'll Be in My Heart," which always cheered Gabby up somehow. Anakin figured, maybe it would at least help Gabby sleep well tonight.

Looking at Gabby, Anakin could clearly see his little girl wasn't as little as she once was. She was growing up, and he was struggling to grasp that she was becoming such a big girl. It felt like only yesterday she was a tiny baby. Anakin remembered holding Gabby for the very first time, feeding Gabby her bottle, and holding her and rocking her when she cried. He remembered how she would always run to him when she was in need, and she was so small she could squeeze through small air vents to stow away on missions or hide from the enemy. She wasn't so little anymore.

Now, she was going to be eight in just a few more months.

All of the children were growing so fast. Boba and Omega were almost finished with their first year of high school, Luke and Leia were walking really well now. It wouldn't be long before the two oldest ones would be graduating high school and heading off to college, and before he knew it, Gabby would be in high school. How he wished he could just keep them little forever. Gabby was almost too big for Anakin to carry anymore. But, he knew one thing she'd never be too big for.

Anakin quietly approached Gabby and gently kissed her head while she was sleeping.

"Sleep well, Baby Girl."

And Anakin quietly left the room, only to run into his father.

"Anakin? Is she alright?" Qui-Gon asked.

Anakin sighed. "I don't know, Dad. It's not like her to act this way. I don't know if it's because she's growing up or something else. I knew this day would come that she wasn't going to need me as much… but I didn't think it would come so soon that she'd start pushing me away."

Qui-Gon held his son's shoulder.

"Anakin… Gabriella will always need you. You are her father. No matter how old she gets, she will always need you. And she needs you now in her time of need, whatever is upsetting her."

Qui-Gon was equally worried about his granddaughter. Her being the typically happiest of the group, seeing her upset like this was most concerning.

"Maybe she'll feel better when it's time to head to the make-up gala tomorrow. It is music themed, and I don't know anyone who isn't cheered up by music."

"We can only hope she will cheer up soon."

Qui-Gon decided to do a little searching though. Quietly, he snuck into Gabby's room and took her phone from her nightstand. Knowing she'd been looking at it many of the times Gabby had been acting up, Qui-Gon decided he needed to figure out why.

"R2-D2. I need you to scan Gabriella's phone. Find anything unusual. Harassing text messages, emails. Anything that might be emotionally hurting Gabriella. She needs you."

Artoo beeped, more than willing to help. He'd watched Gabby grow all her life, so it was no surprise he felt worries running through his circuits when he noticed her acting out as well. Even Threepio noticed.

"Poor Mistress Gabriella. She is usually such a high beacon of happiness. I absolutely hate to see her like this." said the protocol droid.

Qui-Gon got Artoo connected to Gabby's phone, and the astromech immediately began analyzing it for anything unusual.
