Attack on I-Island Part 3
The situation has gotten worse for Wolfram. Not only that the civilians are still safe, but his group were either captured or killed. All of his plans were ruined by the hands of the Bat Family, Justice League, and Delta. Just when his real plan was about to come to play, realizing that he had to step up his game when he's already on the Top Floor thanks to his magnetic Quirk to use it for getting there.
'Damn them! Damn you All Might! Damn you Batman! Guess I'm gonna handle this myself!?' Wolfram mentally snarled angrily as he walks inside of the tower of the Top Floor.
For David and Sam, the plans they came up has been foiled because of Batman and his team took a few steps ahead of them. They don't know how they know or how they do it, but they don't care because the two scientists need to get to the storage room to get the headset back.
Red X led the team inside of the security room when Izuku turns around to Bluebird, who readied her rifle and her tasers.
"How close are we?" Izuku asks.
"Very, we're in 198th Floor and we made it in a fast rate." Bluebird informed him. "If we're lucky, we can get there before Wolfram does."
"Guys, you should hurry." Atom warned them. "Wolfram is already inside of the storage room along with David and Sam."
It got Izuku shocked with his eyes widen, but the Bat Family knew that Wolfram used his Quirk to get himself up to the tower. They then hurry towards 200th floor since Wolfram manage to get there quickly. But once they were at the top floor, they found themselves running through the series of hallways.
"The control room is at the central elevator, we should be there." Red X told them.
"I don't think it's the control room he's after, he's taking David and Sam to the storage room." Batman states. "We should head that direction."
"Bluebird, can you take us there?" Stargirl suggested.
"Yeah, I know where it is like the back of my hand." Bluebird replied. "But we need to split up and help Atom."
And with that, Red X teams up with Ochaco, S.T.R.I.P.E., and Stargirl to give Atom a helping hand while Bluebird teams up with Batman, Robin, Supergirl, Jiro, and Izuku to head for the storage room. However, once they're about to be inside of the storage room, they saw the vault was open as Batman motioned his hand to stop, peaked around and saw David working on the computer.
"What do you see?" Bluebird asks.
"David, he and those two beat us to it." Batman told her quietly. "No surprise Wolfram used his Quirk to get there before us."
"Well, what now?" Supergirl inquires.
Batman then turns to his team as he began to tell them the plan. After a few minutes of discussion, Batman and his team quietly moves forward.
David Shield knew that he shouldn't be doing this after All Might, the Pro Heroes, the civilians, and the students of Class 1-A learned his agenda, which it's not gonna stop him. He knows that it was wrong, and if he did this, he's throwing his life's work, his reputation, all that he accomplished away. He kept telling himself that there has to be another way because this plan is insane and it's too risky, but what other options he has? And if he had to do this, he'll gladly do it again.
The moment the computer he was typing on beeped, David knew all the planning that went into this heist would pay off.
"I've unlocked it!" David said, turns to his assistant. "Block 11-47!"
"Wonderful!" Sam exclaimed, about to ran upstairs when he's electrocuted and collapses down to the floor.
David turns and saw Batman, Robin, Bluebird, Jiro, and Izuku in front of him.
"You won't be taking anything in this room!" Bluebird said, aiming her rifle at her father. "Considering how dangerous your plan is!"
David was shocked and his eyes widened when they appeared.
"Bluebird, please, you don't understand!" David said, raise his hands up.
"What's to understand? You're stealing the device that was confiscated by the government and use it for All Might, without realizing the consequences!?" Bluebird shouts angrily.
"This concern either of you, please move aside!" David said while try to regain his resolve when Batman looked at him with a brooding glare.
"Give us one good reason why?" Batman suggested, holding the briefcase. "Now answer the question! Or I'll break that device!"
"Please, listen to us!" Sam pleaded with a groan. "You hear the full explanation! We were trying to get back what was stolen. That invention..."
"Yes, we know. The Quirk Amplification Device, a device that can amplify the power of users Quirk." Batman interrupts, leaving Sam and David shocked that the Caped Crusade figured it out.
"He's the 'World's Greatest Detective', try to keep up, Einstein." Supergirl told them with a smirk.
"But even so, it's still being tested." Sam said, began to give them an explanation. "But unlike with drugs, this can magnify a person's Quirk without damaging a body or brain. Yet despite that the potential of the device, our sponsor confiscated the prototype and the research data. Then, they demanded that the project to be abandoned. They're worried that something that this would drastically alter our superhuman society, and lead to chaos. So, the governments from different nations put pressure on him to end it. That's why we did this."
David and Sam even remembered before All Might and the others came to I-Island, planning to get his research back. They were planning to hire someone who can act as villains instead of the actual villains, much to David dismay while deny that. However, Sam insisted that they need to hire who can pretend as villains and have them force them to break-in and take it. Of course, they'll order them not to harm the civilians or the Pro Heroes, and after it's done, they'll research somewhere else. But it only happens at the I-Expo event pre-opening. The plan will begin alongside at the Reception since that's the only time when all the people involved will be there at the very place. They'll pull the strings of the background while the actors make it seem like the I-Island has taken over by villains.
"Why? Why all of this?! Was it for All Might?!" Bluefire demands.
Batman, Robin, and Supergirl stared at her with pity and sympathy because of David's actions. In more ways then one, they understood what Melissa was going through. Confusion, anger, despair of seeing her father she looked up to has chosen the dark path. She was inspired by her father, and now, she's seeing her father fallen.
"Yes...I had to for All Might." David admits, looked away in shame. "You probably aren't aware of this, but his Quirk is disappearing."
Batman, Bluebird, Robin, and Supergirl are aware of All Might's power is diminished while Izuku widen his eyes in shock, now understanding what was driving David to do all of this.
"However, if he uses this device, he'll be his old-self. No...his abilities will be even stronger than they were!" David continued with resolve and hope in his tone and eyes. "The Number 1 Hero, the Symbol of Peace, can get his strength and life back again! He can keep saving people, just like he always has!"
Izuku could feel his heart sink. All of this was happening because All Might's powers were fading and David is upset about it. He doesn't know All Might passed 'One-For-All' down to Izuku.
"Batman, please just let me hand this device over to All Might." David pleads. "There's no time to remake it!"
"And it's going to stay that way." Batman told him, leaving David shocked. "The only reason is because this device is too dangerous and it'll fall into the wrong hands. David, you need to accept that All Mights time is inevitable. Also, the HSPC and the society needs real heroes, not some Pros that cared for fame and glory."
"He's right, his time of being a Number One Hero is about to be over. Even I was aware of his powers...Dad." Bluebird said, earned his attention when she pulls out her mask and it made him shocked. "We even risk our lives to get you and Sam and fighting against those terrorists! Do you even know how dangerous it was?! Do you even realize your playing a dangerous game?! HOW MUCH WE WERE TRYING TO SAVE LIVES FROM THEM ON THE ISLAND?!"
David looked at his daughter with dread and horror. All this time, Melissa Shield, his own daughter, became a vigilante as Bluebird for years. He remembered watching the news about Bluebird fighting against villains, criminals, murderers, and terrorists that's been taking place in Metropolis, Gotham City, Canada, Cuba, Siberia, and Africa. It got himself questioned, why did she choose her life as a vigilante? Why did she lie to him? And why did she keep it in secrets from him?
"You're not the only one who kept it in secrets, Dad!" Melissa shouts. "I've been keeping it secret from you years ago, as Bluebird! I took up that mantle from someone back in Gotham City, I even traveled around to fight villains and fought alongside with the other heroes!"
"Well, isn't it touching."
They turned and saw Wolfram from behind, but Izuku didn't react enough when he about to use his Quirk. Batman quickly threw the pellets at Wolfram, causing it to explode with flash as he grunts and covers his vision. Supergirl flew towards him as she delivers a punch in the face, sent Wolfram flying right towards the wall.
"That's for sticking me to the wall." Supergirl said with a smirk.
"But why, Melissa...why?" David asks.
"Bruce and Barbara trained me to become a crime fighter, even kept it in secret when I was a kid. Superpowers or not, it doesn't stop me for becoming a hero." Melissa told him with a glare. "But after learning of Uncle All Might's power is fading, I knew that his time of being a Pro Hero is about to end. And after learning of Bruce's death, I've carried out his honor, his 'no kill' code, and his will so I can be a great hero like all of the Heroes before the Pros. Something you'll never understand, Dad."
David widen his eyes in shock when Melissa told him.
"The society and the government forgot about what being a hero is about, even I know how life works." Melissa continued. "I've been fighting against villains, criminals, and terrorists for years. I remained caution and try to keep it a low profile from everyone else, and I even have to defend myself against the Pro Heroes. And now, here we are, you committing a crime..."
"...And what about you?! You lied to me! Kept it secrets from me! That's hypocritical!" David yelled with anger. "You know that vigilantism is a crime! And I would lose you if you get arrested!?"
"I'M NOT THE ONE WHO HAD A SECRET PLAN ON GETTING THAT DEVICE BACK?!" Melissa yelled back at her father. "If you think you're gonna try to play Hero, after what you did! It's already too late, because blood is already in your hands! You planned and committed an actual crime by stolen something that's not meant to be use!?"
David gasp in shock, realizing that she's right. Sam took his chance as he was about to grab the briefcase, but was knocked out when Robin hits him in the leg with her staff, making him trip down to the floor which gotten their attention.
"Sam, what are you doing?" David asks. "You wouldn't stand a chance against them."
"Because he has a secret of his own, isn't that right?" Melissa told him, turns to Sam. "I had a feeling you're planning something."
"Sam, what is she talking about?" David asks again.
"Isn't it obvious? He's planning to hand the device over to Wolfram if his plan didn't go the way he wanted." Robin states. "You and Sam were the ones who hired them, but David, you failed to realize that these villains are real instead of fake without knowing."
David then turns to Sam again.
"Sam...did you..."
"Yes, I hired them." Sam interrupts, admitted. "I hired those villains instead of fakes.."
"But why?! Why did you hire them?" David demands, realizing that he was tricked. "I trusted you! And you were going to hand it over to him all along?!"
"You're the one who tricked me, Professor!" Sam yelled, looking back at David. "I've been your assistant for all these years, and you let them take our work! We could've had fame and fortune, but no! I deserve more! I need to be rewarded...otherwise my entire career was a complete waste of time!"
David couldn't believe what he's hearing from Sam. All this time, all the trust he had in Sam, was all so he could stab him in the back over for being famous? Was their friendship ever real to begin with, or was Sam only with him for fame and glory?
"INCOMING?!" Supergirl yelled with a warning when Melissa quickly puts her mask back on as they dodge the metal pillars.
"I've had enough of all of you interfering my plans!" Wolfram snarled as he approaches them with anger. "Now, I'm gonna do this my way!?"
Jiro quickly uses her Quirk to create soundwaves from her legs, letting out a loud sound when Wolfram covered his ears. Bluebird fires her rifle at him, electrocuted him and making him scream in pain.
"Now let's beat the crap out of this asshole." Supergirl suggested as she, Batman, Izuku, Bluebird, and Robin charges after Wolfram.
However, Wolfram quickly recovers and he's about to use his Quirk when Red X threw his three shurikens at him from the back while S.T.R.I.P.E. fired his bullets and Stargirl fired her beam at him, making him grunt and stumbled a bit. Supergirl delivers a punch combo to the jaws, Batman delivers a hard kick to the sternum, Bluebird then delivers a roundhouse kick to the face, Izuku delivers an uppercut to the chin, and Robin kicks him right in the stomach, causing Wolfram to cough the blood out of his mouth. After that, Supergirl hit Wolfram with a hard punch to the stomach, Robin hit him right in the sternum with her staff before kicking him hard in the shin, Batman follows up by punching to the jaw, Bluebird blocks Wolframs attack and counters by punching him in the rib, Izuku kneed him in the face. Batman, Robin, Supergirl, Bluebird, and Izuku just keep tag teaming Wolfram, hitting over and over. Eventually, Bluebird delivers a low sweep, knocking Wolfram down and bending his arm the wrong way, making him scream in pain while Batman grabs his ankle and breaks it. And Supergirl finishes him off with a hard punch in the head, knocking Wolfram out.
Batman and the others looked down at the bloodied and beaten Wolfram as he cuffs him. Bluebird then turns to Sam and David, aiming her rifle at the two scientists.
"Sam, Dad, you two are under arrest." Bluebird told them as both Sam and David surrendered by raising their hands.
After the fight was finally over, Bluebird escorted Sam and David to the police along with the Justice League, the Bat Family, and Delta taken the terrorists to the police. All Might turns to them with an impressed smile.
"After all this time, I didn't know." All Might muttered.
"It's not your fault, All Might, he made his choice and even tried to help." Batman told him. "But in the end, he's been played."
"But he's still got to face the consequences." Nikita said, approaching them. "I pulled some strings to the police, letting them know that he'll be transfer to another prison in Louisiana. We'll put use of his knowledge in case something happens in the future."
All Might and Batman can tell that Nikita is transferring him to Belle Reve while putting David Shield to use since his knowledge may come and handy.
"Melissa, I'm sorry for what your father did." Nikita said with sincere, turns to her.
"I know what Dad did is wrong and...his plan for getting that device back and even hired those criminals..." Melissa said with a sigh, turns to her father. "But now I see that...he's afraid of Uncle All Might losing his power, and yet...desperate for trying to restore his power..."
"Melissa, I understand for what he did. While it's no excuse for his actions, but he knows that there's a future was standing in front of him." All Might said. "You wanted to become his successor while carving your own path as the new Bluebird. Young Midoriya will become my successor."
All Might, Batman, Nikita, and Bluebird turns to Izuku, who's having a conversation with his friends.
"He's still has a long road ahead, but within him shines a greatest potential I've ever seen among those who'd become Heroes." All Might continued, but turns to Batman. "And Young Wayne, you've already becoming Bruce's successor even making your own path as the new Batman, forming your own team, you even made Young Eri a new Robin. Bruce would've been proud of you."
Batman smiled as he gave him a nod.
After peace was restored on I-Island, Class 1-A even get a chance to enjoy their summer vacation together and make fun memories were made.
However, David and Sam's actions won't go unpunished. He's taken into custody and stand trial for his planning of heist and hiring the group of terrorists, David had no objection. David is transferred into Belle Reve while Sam is taken into Tartarus. Melissa began to tell every civilians that she's the new Bluebird and why, which of course, the civilians accepted her as a new Hero and they even allowed her to continue her crime fighting.
The members of the Justice League were at the Watchtower, reported to Green Lantern that peace on I-Island is restored. Though, the news of the I-Island incident will be known all over the world, but Melissa's identity is kept in secret.
Soon as Ethan, Jason, Tamao, and Eri returned to the Wayne Mansion, they made a report that peace on I-Island is restored. However, Ethan even told them that Jonathan Kent is being abducted and Clark Kent's body is stolen and was planning to be resurrected by the hands of All For One. It got them shocked when they heard about it.
"Are you sure? All For One is planning to bring Clark back?" Dick questions.
"No doubt about it, Supergirl told me herself." Ethan answered. "As far as I know, All For One is planning something for us. But with them on their side, we'd be in trouble."
"If that's the case, we'll be ready." Dick told him. "And we'll be bringing them back to our side."
Ethan responds with a nod, knowing that they'll be ready in case if All For One is gonna bring two Superman among them and fight against the heroes.
At the League of Villains hideout, All For One is at the lab next to Kyudai.
"Kyudai, is it ready yet?" All For One questions with a smirk.
"Yes, with two Superman on our side, the Pro Heroes, including Batman won't stand a chance." Kyudai replied.
"We can thank a certain resource for given us information about the other location of the Lazarus Pit, the first Supermans dead body, having Kryptonites around their necks, and use it to revive him while kidnapping his son." All Foe One said with a sinister smirk. "To think that Brainiac, would even help me. But I knew that he had something in stored for his own plans, which is why we'll be using them and destroy Brainiac and conquer."
All For One and Kyudai then turned their heads when Clark and Jonathan revealed themselves, with Kryptonite necklaces around their necks. With their plan is about to set, they'll have to formulate a plan to kill the students and the Bat Family in the future.
And with two Superman on their side, nothing will stand against All For One.
