BrianShooter672: With All Might's power diminished because he passed it on to Izuku and still fight, he's no match of between Clark or Jonathan and I'll agree with you on that part, relying on him as a Pillar of Society is a big mistake. And yeah, the League of Villains and other scumbags will have a very bad day of what Batman is really capable of despite being Quirkless.
Roaring Upheaval
While the Pussycats, the Students, the Bat Family, the Justice League, and Delta were splitting up trying to find the Fear Toxins and stop it from spreading, Wind Dragon, Tokoyami, and Shoji stayed behind. Wind Dragon tried to purify the Fear Toxins with his wind powers, but was saved by Shoji from Tokoyami, who lost control of his Quirk.
"How did this happen?" Wind Dragon asks in shock.
"After Scarecrow spreads the gas all over the forest, most of us were able to cover ourselves with masks. But those villains didn't know about it and took a one whiff, and it got them scared and helpless. So, some of us are taking them to camp while most of them head for the Fear Toxins while looking for Ragdoll." Shoji explains when he and Wind Dragon quickly takes cover behind the tree as Dark Shadow moved past them while crushing trees. "I tried getting Tokoyami to calm down, but after realizing about his powers, he's losing his control."
"His power begins to take over." Wind Dragon clarifies.
"Right." Shoji nods as the Dark Shadow roars again. "He even told me about his power before we came here few days ago. He had less control of his Quirk when it's darker and aggressive. But if I have to guess, it's probably fueled by his righteous indignation and regret. He's tried to hold it back, but they made it wilder."
But just as Shoji took a step back, he accidentally stepped on a stick, snapping it.
"Look out!" Wind Dragon yelled when Dark Shadow lashed out at them.
Shoji and Wind Dragon jumped out of the way as Dark Shadow smashed the tree they're behind.
"It's started lunging at any sound or movement. A beast lashing out wind indiscriminate attacks." Shoji explains as he and Wind Dragon looked at Tokoyami, who's struggling to keep himself in control, but it's the battle he's losing.
"Forget about me! Go! Find the gas! Help them instead!" Tokoyami groaned, gritting his teeth as he tried to tame Dark Shadow. "Stop this! Calm down, Dark Shadow!"
Wind Dragon knew they had to stop Dark Shadow now before he could purify the gas. If this continues, it'll kill everyone it comes across, including the villains. No one will survive and planning to purify the Fear Toxins will go up in smoke, and it wouldn't stop until the next day. Wind Dragon must do something, or else this night will turn into a bloodbath.
"How do we stop it?" Wind Dragon asks.
"His Quirk has a weakness to light. If we can lead them to a fire or back to camp, we can contain it." Shoji explains, turns to Wind Dragon. "Wind Dragon, I know these are strange circumstances, but I can't just leave a suffering friend behind. You were trying to purify the gas and making it harmless for us to breath, but I'm not going to let you get killed. If you still wanna do that, I'll buy you time. I'll distract the Dark Shadow."
"The fire is too far, and it won't last." Wind Dragon told him. "I have a better idea."
Shoji then decided to listen.
"Instead of taking Dark Shadow to the light, I can make one with my wind powers, combining with heat." Wind Dragon explains. "I can fight that monster with it, but only weaken it and it'll be enough to contain it."
Then, Shoji and Wind Dragon dodge Dark Shadows slash.
"Are you sure about this?" Shoji asks. "Weren't you here to purify the gas?"
"Yes, but my first priority is help you contain your friend." Wind Dragon told him. "And I'm the only one that can use heat to weaken his power. But I can't do this alone, I need you to team up with me and take down Dark Shadow."
Shoji was surprised that Wind Dragon asks him for help fighting against Tokoyami's Quirk, only thought that his power is wind. Wind Dragon began to demonstrate as he combines the wind with heat, conjuring a hot flaming sword.
"It may or may not be enough, but it's a risk I'm willing to use." Wind Dragon told him.
Shoji and Wind Dragon then charges after Dark Shadow as their fight begins.
"Flesh~! Pieces of meat~!" Moonfish howled, stood above the Queen siblings, Shoto, and Bakugo using his Quirk.
Moonfish sent a dozen tooth blades towards Bakugo, who's now wearing a gas mask after the antidote, Shoto, and the Queen siblings. Shoto summons a wall of ice to stop them, but the blades were stronger than ice, and pierced through it, forcing them to dodge.
"Teeth attacks? Seriously? It's time to blast this freak with everything I've got." Bakugo yelled, getting sick of holding back.
Neither of them has been able to make a dent against Moonfish, and it annoys the hot head.
"You can't!" Shoto yelled at him.
"If the tree burns, just cover them with ice, stupid!" Bakugo snapped.
"Don't be a damn moron! A big explosion will impair our visions, and we won't get a clear shot!" Green Arrow retorted. "Didn't you ever think things through or are you just plain stupid?!"
"Or better yet, how are you gonna get close if you're out of range?" Speedy adds.
Bakugo just gritted teeth in annoyance, getting tired of their complaining, which they made a valid point. But he still won't be able to listen, and his patience are wearing down of not going all out against Moonfish. However, their attention was caught when a series of big explosions was heard and it's coming at that direction.
"OVER HERE! FOLLOW THE FLAMES!" The voice of Wind Dragon yelled, causing Moonfish to turn his head in confusion.
That's when they saw Wind Dragon and Shoji running towards them as fast as they could. Behind them, Dark Shadow chased the two and destroying everything in its path.
"Bakugo! Todoroki! One of you, give us some light!" Shoji yelled.
"And hurry!" Wind Dragon adds as Dark Shadow roared.
"MORE FLESH!" Moonfish yelled in depravity and sent one of his tooth blades at Wind Dragon and Shoji.
However, Dark Shadow interjected with a roar and destroyed the blade and parts of the ice wall. Wind Dragon and Shoji jumped out of the way when it happened. The Dark Shadow's claw landed on Moonfish and had him pinned to the ground. Bakugo, Shoto, and the Queen siblings gasped when they saw this.
Looking back at Tokoyami, Wind Dragon and Shoji saw him in tears, screaming as he desperately tries to regain control. The plan is risky, but it's the only option to get to Bakugo, Shoto, and Wind Dragon to get Dark Shadow under control. Instead of trying to fight it, they lured Dark Shadow here using Wind Dragon flames and Shoji's dupli-arms as bait so that he'd follow them with attacking the real bodies.
"Bakugo!" Wind Dragon yelled at him, who widen his eyes in shock.
"Shoji and Wind Dragon, and is that...Tokoyami?" Shoto asked in shock.
Dark Shadow roared as it smashed more of Shoto's ice.
"Okay, can someone tell us what is going on?!" Speedy shouts.
"We need some light now!" Shoji exclaimed through one of his tentacles. "He's out of control!"
Shoji and Wind Dragon narrowly dodged a strike from Dark Shadow.
"He's attacking blindly, I'll use my fire." Shoto said as he's about to use his power when Bakugo stopped him with his hand.
"Not so fast." Bakugo said.
Moonfish was still conscious, and when Dark Shadow got off him, he used his teeth to push himself up. Drooling from his gaping mouth as he lifted himself into the air.
"Flesh! Slab of meat! No good! Can't allow it! I'm the one who gets to slice them open. DON'T STEAL FROM ME!" Moonfish howled and fired his blade teeth at the Dark Shadow.
However, they passed through it, causing Dark Shadow to quickly grab Moonfish.
"You don't matter! Insignificant bug!" Dark Shadow roared, crushing him to death, easily breaking his teeth.
"Now finish him!" Bakugo said with a smirk of approval.
Dark Shadow roared as he swung Moonfish around, slamming him into multiple trees. Dealing major damage to the death row convict and knocking out a few of his teeth, before he's thrown away. Moonfish was knocked out when his back was slammed hard into a tree.
"Not enough! It's not enough!" Dark Shadow growled, growing bigger.
He's about to go on and destroy more. However, his rampage was brought to a stop when Bakugo, Shoto, and Wind Dragon rushed toward the Dark Shadow and activated their powers. Dark Shadow squeaked like a puppy as the explosion, hot air, and flame shrunk it down to its normal size, freeing Tokoyami.
"And once again, I'm a terrible match for you, birdboy." Bakugo scoffs in disappointment when Shoji ran towards him.
"Thanks, you saved me." Tokoyami said with a sigh.
Shoto, Wind Dragon, and the Queen siblings looked at the knocked-out Moonfish, laid against the tree.
"We could barely defend against that guy, but you beat him instantly." Shoto said, never realizing how powerful Tokoyami was.
Green Arrow and Speedy joined Shoji and walked up to Tokoyami, who's in a fatigued state.
"My friend, are you okay?" Shoji asked. "You did what we needed you to do."
Wind Dragon and Queen siblings nodded with a smile. If they're going to get it to Bakugo and Shoto, they needed Tokoyami to let go for that single moment and just let Dark Shadow take over, and it worked. Though, this still didn't make him feel any better when Tokoyami hung his head in shame.
"Shoji, I apologize. You too, Wind Dragon. I'm still far too immature." Tokoyami said with an apology. "Anger consumed me, and I let my Quirk take over. The influence of the darkness, combined with my fury, spurred Dark Shadow into a frenzy. Until...it got so strong, I couldn't contain it, and I ended up attacking."
Tokoyami gritted his teeth as he punched the floor, angered in himself for doing something so unforgivable as hurting his comrade.
"We'll with that later." Shoji said, making Tokoyami gasped when he heard this and looked up at him. "That's what you'd say if our roles were reversed."
Wind Dragon and Queen siblings smiled at him along with Shoji. Seeing them smiled at him made Tokoyami nod at them.
"Alright, let's get back to business." Green Arrow said to the others. "While you guys were busy trying to find the Fear Toxins or get away from the criminals, we need to get Bakugo back to camp before they get a hold of him."
"Bakugo? Are they try to kill him?" Shoto asked.
"No, they're trying to capture him and Midoriya. Luckily, a certain broccoli head is inside, but we need to get hot head back to camp." Green Arrow explains. "It's the safest place, but with the gas spreading, our chances of getting there is slim because of the criminals scattering around in this area. But with them searching Fear Toxins, we don't have any options."
"I understand." Tokoyami said with a nod. "So, our mission is to get Bakugo back to safety by serving as his protectors."
"Yeah." Speedy answered. "But going through the forest won't help because there still criminals lurking around, and last I heard, there's only eight, and only most of them were out of action. We need to use the route and head that direction."
"We still don't know how many enemies left." Tokoyami said, pointing out the flaw of the plan. "We might come across some by chance."
"This is Batman, we were able to stop all of the Fear Toxins from spreading. It might a good time to clear the area." Batman informed them as Wind Dragon and the others heard the information.
"Hold on to something." Wind Dragon suggested as he takes flight into the sky, try to gain distance from the Fear Toxins.
"What is he planning?" Tokoyami asks.
"Something that was about to get us killed if we don't move it!" Green Arrow warns them quickly, knows what Wind Dragon is planning.
"I'd be fine by myself!" Bakugo yelled.
"It's either move your ass to camp or get sucked by a tornado!?" Speedy snapped back. "You're also the target, and you need to stay together!"
"I don't need any of your protection, dammit!" Bakugo shouted.
"Don't get all high and mighty on us, junior. 'Cuz your gonna listen to us and stay together, whether you like it or not." Green Arrow said with a dark tone, had enough of his arrogant attitude. "And I don't wanna hear any of your bitching or whining coming out of mouth."
"Don't-"
"One word out of you, then you kiss your hero career goodbye." Speedy cuts him off, aiming her arrow at Bakugo. "Two choices: Come with us and work with us, or we'll leave you and have those criminals capture you...and kill you..."
Bakugo now widen his eyes with a flinch, realizing what position he's in. It got him remembered his time during the exam where Red Hood beat him up with the crowbar, which it made him feared that there's going to be a repeat. With Bakugo swallowed a lump on his throat, decided to swallow his pride and comply.
"That's what I thought." Speedy said with a scowl. "Now, let's get moving and make sure you keep up."
"Wind Dragon, we're heading back to camp." Green Arrow informed him as they walk through the route while Shouji grabs hold of Moonfish. "We're taking the convict with us."
"Understood. I'm clearing the toxins right now, proceed with caution." Wind Dragon said as he started using his wind powers to conjure a tornado, sucking up the Fear Toxins while purifying it.
While they continue to make a run for only 5 minutes, they were able to make it back to camp safely without getting caught by the tornado. But after being informed they are making a rendezvous back at camp, the Arrow Team, Aizawa, Delta, Zatanna, and the students heard a rustling sound.
"There's someone up ahead." Shoji said, listening to it with his tentacles.
"Is it one of us?" Aizawa asked.
"No. I don't recognize the voice...Wait..." Shoji paused for a moment, but cringe as he covers his ears. "It's that loud sound coming from us!"
"MOVE!" Green Arrow, Speedy, and Arsenal yelled as they moved out of the way as the sonic scream blasts the glass doors.
"Everyone okay?" Aizawa asks as he and the others stood up.
"Peachy." Delta groans, then turns with a glare. "What the hell was that?!"
"That was the 'Canary Cry', basically a super-sonic scream. And we know someone who pulled that stunt." Arsenal told her.
They turned their attention back at the rustling sound when the assailant revealed itself, who's none other than Black Siren.
Black Siren is a slender young woman with blonde hair and brown eyes. Her attire consists of a black leather suit. Part of the suit includes a top with two coattails reaching down to knee length, long sleeves that are connected to the top of the fishnet material below her shoulders along with a set of black leather gloves, and a zipper in the middle of her chest. She also wears black leather pants with details on her knees, also made of fishnet material, resembling knee pads and high heels. She also wears a black leather choker around her neck with a golden bell in the middle. She carries knives around her coat, and tactical tonfas on each side of her legs.
"Clara Lance." Green Arrow growled.
"Ollie, Rhea." Black Siren said with a smirk. "Didn't think I get to see my cousins."
"Okay, who's she?" Aizawa inquires.
"Her name is Clara Lance, known as Black Siren. She started her criminal spree at Star City after getting kicked out because of her ideals about justice when she became a lawyer." Speedy explains. "And she's our cousin."
"But you forget about the part that I have a sister, who's the opposite of me, White Canary." Black Siren told her. "Oh, speaking of Canary, how's Dinah?"
"Pissed, no thanks to you." Arsenal replied sarcastically.
"Hm, that's too bad. You see, she came at me after I killed her boyfriend since he's a crooked cop. So, I did her a favor, and the thanks I get was...oh right, the thanks I get was beating some senses into her." Black Siren said.
"She knows what she's doing, she's not stupid to figure it out." Speedy retorted, aiming the arrow at her. "And killing is justice?!"
"You should be thanking me instead of aiming the arrow at me, sweetie." Black Siren mocks.
"And you need to stand down." The voice of Batman said, earned her attention when he and Robin revealed themselves from the shadows with a brooding glare. "You're outnumbered."
"Well, if it isn't the Batman himself, and his trusty little sidekick, Robin." Black Siren taunts, smirking seductively. "Who'd a thought I get to meet someone who's young and handsome. How about you come to my side, and I promise you, it'll be fun."
But then, a whip smacked Black Siren in the face, causing her to grunt when Catwoman leaps out of the tree with her claw and whip ready.
"Back off, bitch. He's mine." Catwoman snarled with a glare.
"Oh, aren't you a feisty one." Black Siren said. "But you know, that wasn't nice to hit a lady."
"Funny, you're hitting my man who's already taken." Catwoman remarked with a smirk.
Batman can only shake his head in annoyance while Aizawa, Zatanna, Bakugo, and Shoji quietly snickered, wondering if the Dark Knight is into girls who's bad.
"Too bad, because he's my type." Black Siren said, but turns to Batman. "But, I'm not backing down without a fight."
And with that, Black Siren pulls out a Canary Cry Bomb as she throws it at them. It got their eyes widen as the bomb lets out a loud scream, causing them to cover their ears in pain. Black Siren charges after Bakugo, about to capture him when Speedy fires her stun arrow, shocking her and make her grunt in pain. Aizawa took his chance by using his cloth to blind her, but Black Siren pulls the arrow out and leaps in midair.
Black Siren lands on the ground, pulls out her tonfas as she readied her fighting stance. Arsenal pulls out his combat knife while Speedy pulls out her sword as they, Green Arrow, Batman, Catwoman, Robin, and Aizawa readied their fighting stance.
"Anything that can take her down?" Aizawa questions with a scowl, putting his goggles on.
"This is gonna be fun." Black Siren said with a sinister smirk.
Black Siren then charges at them while the Arrow Team, Aizawa, Batman, Catwoman, and Robin does the same. Black Siren blocks Arsenal's attack with her tonfa and countering by kicking him to the knee and kneed him to the chin. Speedy swings her sword, causing Black Siren to duck and deliver an iron broom technique, sweeping her down to the ground. Bakugo leaps in midair and about to use his explosion when Black Siren sent him flying with her Canary Cry. Robin punches her to the gut, followed by a kick to the shin. Catwoman then delivers a head scissors takedown, send her flying down to the ground.
Black Siren uses her kip-up and then delivers a spinning heel kick to Aizawa in the face. Green Arrow was about to deliver a jab when she blocks it and then countering by hitting him in the sternum with her tonfa before smacking him to the side of his face with her tonfa. Black Siren then sidekicks him to the gut before delivering a combo with her tonfas, knocking him out. Speedy was about to try to attack her from behind when Black Siren delivers a back kick to the gut, causing her to grunt as she then delivers a hane goshi while making her disarm the sword. Catwoman cracks her whip as she binds her leg, pulls her down and making her trip down to the ground.
"Ugh...you bitch!" Black Siren growled, stands up.
Black Siren was about to tackle Catwoman when Aizawa pulls her with his binding cloth, then delivers a punch to the face before delivering a kick to the gut and a spin kick to the face. Black Siren grunts in pain when Arsenal swings his knife, which she quickly blocks it and smacks him in the face with her tonfa. Robin hit her right in the sternum with her staff before delivering a hard kick to the shin, Batman follows this up with 2 hard punches to the jaw and an elbow to the nose. Aizawa then kicks her right in the spine and Catwoman follows up by delivering a leg sweep, knocking her down to the ground.
Black Siren has had enough of playing around as she's about to use her Canary Cry, but was cut off when Batman delivers a quick jab to the neck, knocking the wind out of her. After that, Batman delivers a roundhouse kick to the face, making her stumble a bit. Catwoman and Robin does a front flip, landed behind her as Batman and Aizawa deliver a hard kick to the gut while Catwoman and Robin finishes the fight with a hard kick to the head, knocking her out.
After the fight is over, the Arrow Team stands up with a groan in pain as they walk next to Black Siren.
"You three alright?" Batman asks.
"We'll live." Green Arrow replied. "Thanks for the help."
"She's a hell of a fighter, I'll give her that." Aizawa states, grunts in pain with his sore jaw. "She can pack a serious punch."
"She was trained by the first Green Arrow and the first Black Canary before us. We trained together when we're kid, before she turns herself into a criminal." Speedy explains. "Black Siren killed one of the criminals, that we're supposed to take him in to prison. And, she got kicked out because of her new method of justice."
"That's almost as similar as Red Hoods backstory." Delta points out. "Is there anything else we like to know about her?"
"Black Siren worked as a lawyer at Star City, but I think it got her pissed about her co-workers ideals about justice." Green Arrow explains. "We've been conducting an investigation about these guys, and we were able to gather the information from them, learning that they're working for Roger Merlyn."
"And who's Roger Merlyn?" Aizawa inquires.
"He's a head lawyer, but his own method of justice is as twisted as it come. He's the grandson of Malcolm Merlyn and the son of late Tommy Merlyn." Arsenal answered. "Like Gene, he's trained by Ra's Al Ghul and the League of Assassins, and taking up his mantle as the new Dark Archer."
"Seriously? Ra's became a thing now?" Aizawa said in annoyance. "He's dead."
"We know, but his will lived on." Batman points out. "But we should find Bakugo, she sent him flying somewhere around her in the forest."
"You don't have to look far, cause he's right here." The voice of Mr. Compress said, which it got their attention when they saw him standing on a branch of a nearby tree.
"Mr. Compress." Batman said with a brooding glare. "You seem to caught him with your magic."
"Right you are, Batman. But a talent like his will be squandered if he cast as a Hero." Mr. Compress informed him in a gentlemanly manner as the students stared at him in shock. In his right hand, he held a small marble, and it didn't take long for the others to realize what happened to Bakugo. "We'll provide him with the grander stage where he can truly shine."
"I bet you're the one who beat Ragdoll and got her in that marble." Delta growled, aims her M4A1 at him.
"Ragdoll? Oh yes, the Pussycat with Observe Quirk. That was on me for this marble you have just witnessed, but the Nomu is a another." Mr. Compress told her.
Zatanna then calls out her wand, pulls out her hat with a smirk on her face.
"elbraM, nrut otni a noegip!" Zatanna said in backwards as the marble turns into a pigeon.
"What?!" Mr. Compress exclaims as the pigeon flew into her hat.
"Now watch as I make this bird disappear! sucoH sucoP!" Zatanna said, waves her wand as the hat fires sparks. "Ta-da!"
"Impossible! How did you-?!"
"A magician never reveals her secrets. And you're not the only with magic." Zatanna told him with a smirk, making Mr. Compress shocked.
"It can't be! You're the Mistress of Magic, Zatara Zatanna!" Mr. Compress exclaims.
"In the flesh." Zatanna said.
"I take it you were also following Stains values, just like Spinner and Magne." Batman states, deducting as Mr. Compress snapped out of his thoughts.
"Ah, but you are right on the mark, Batman. I'm impressed you figured it out." Mr. Compress said. "Yes, we're merely wish to show there are options besides the fanatical world of Hero as if drowning in. It's important to choose a path that aligns with your core values after all."
"MR. AIZAWA! THE VILLAINS ARE GONE!" The voice of Tenya yelled as he revealed himself. "But the only ones were here are Scarecrow, Prometheus, and Moonfish!"
"That will be his work, he uses magic." Zatanna told him when Mr. Compress revealed the marbles.
"Right you are, though it's a bad habit of mine when it comes to monologuing. I was once an entertainer, you know." Mr. Compress admits. "Taking back Magne and Spinner was a bit easy, after all. Moonfish, our dear blade tooth, he may not look it, but he's a dastardly death row devil who's last appeal was denied. Jonathan Crane, once a university professor, a scientist, and a villain known as the Scarecrow, his ideal is very different, but I was one of the few who maintain distance from that gas, but he still has a grudge on a certain Dark Knight. Then, there's Gene Morrison, a lawyer and a killer, so blind by rage when he failed to notice the reality of his father's death and blaming the first Green Arrow. I have no use for either of the two. When Black Siren joined the League, she held her own values of justice and took down lives of criminals. I knew she made a fine troupe."
Shoto was about to use his power when Zatanna raise his arm.
"Your power is no match for his wits. Like any other magicians, he's also an escape artist like Harry Houdini." Batman points out. "He's not stupid enough to face us."
"And it looks like I can even the odds with my own magic." Zatanna adds, readies her wand.
Meanwhile in the forest, the Nomu is fighting against Red Hood, Momo, Yosetsu, Tiger, and Pixie Bob which it's having trouble fighting against the earth monsters.
The Nomu has a very large, muscular build with mint-green skin. It wears black trousers ripped just above the kneecaps, and a brown belt. The brain is exposed, but most of it is protected by a shiny, purple helmet with two red visors and a metal gag. It has six retractable arms that has construction tools.
Tiger is using his Quirk to bind the arms while Pixie Bob gives him a hand by using her Quirk to bind the rest of the arms with her earth powers. Red Hood summons his All Blades while Yosetsu and Momo works on binding it's legs and arms with metallic materials.
"Whatever it is you're doing, do it now!" Yosetsu shouts.
Red Hood then charges after the Nomu as he leaps in midair, lands on its shoulders and then impales it right in the brain, killing it.
Red Hood then lands on the ground.
"You never told us you had a Quirk." Momo states.
"You didn't ask, and it's not a Quirk, this power is coming from the Lazarus." Red Hood remarked. "Long story, but no time. We still need to meet up with the others at camp."
Though, they still want answers of how Red Hood got a hold of that power, but knows that he's right as they decided to head back to camp.
Meanwhile, Mr. Compress and Zatanna are staring at each other, getting ready for a fight in between two magicians. Mr. Compress has a different idea and was about to flee.
"snaihC, dnib mih!" Zatanna chants, waves her wand and conjuring the chains, binding Mr. Compress as he falls down to the ground with a hard thud. She then pulls two marbles right out of his ear. "Now, watch as I turn three marbles back to their human selves. arbadcarbA!"
Zatanna then throws three marbles to the ground as a puff of smoke appears, revealing two knocked-out Magne and Spinner along with Bakugo, who's coughing.
"Ta-da!" Zatanna said with a smirk.
