The third time Peppy notices a Hickey on Poppy's neck was when he was teaching Poppy and Branch how to make the perfect grilled cheese.
He was teaching her step by step making sure she payed attention to the little details that he was making. "And then you add Sprinkled Cheese into the bread after you spread the butter." King Peppy said excitedly as he was showing the couple the way to make it. "It looks good so far dad." The elder troll smiled at his daughters praise and he continued on with making the delicious meal.
"And then you add some bacon on bread and we add another layer of cheese." He continued on before hearing Branch ask a question. "Is the grilled cheese sandwich almost finished because I can't wait to try some." Branch asked making the former King light up like a Christmas tree.
"No son we have a long way to go. Next we add another layer of butter on the bread and spread the whole thing on." The elder troll continued his instructions but little did he know that the couple were not paying attention to what he was saying at this point because they both had eyes for each other.
"And then we add a few more layers of cheese and wait for the other bread to be cooked." Peppy heard his stomach growl in hunger just in time for the grilled cheese to be ready and he immediately turned off the stove.
"So what do you think about it." He asked proudly waiting for an answer. After not getting one King Peppy turned to look at him daughter who was busy making out with her boyfriend. Noticing 3 huge hickeys that were forming on Poppy's neck but he didn't want to say anything about it.
King Peppy cleared his throat getting the couple's attention. "That was an interesting way to make a grilled cheese dad, I can't wait to try it one day." Poppy replied looking a little red to the face.
Later on, the three trolls ate their grilled cheese in complete silence as his daughter was completely embarrassed to talk knowing that the evidence was showing on her neck with no way to hide it from him while Branch looked completely proud of his work which Peppy had to admit that he was proud about the fact Branch wasn't afraid to show her off like that.
"This is really good, we should make it again more often." The teal troll said causing Poppy to roll her eyes but nod in agreement. At least they enjoyed their meal as a family.
