The legalities: I do not own any of the Expendables franchise (characters, places, and objects especially) and this is mostly au.Rated M just to be on the safe side.
Also, please don't be afraid to write reviews. I would love to hear from you all!
Hope you enjoy!
Prompt: "Just to be sure we're all on the same page."
"Page? We're not even in the same library!"
"Shouldn't we have the guest room on the first floor? It would be the most easily accessible area for when and if the old folks visit."
Jacoba pinched the bridge of her nose and shook her head. "Gunnar, hon, the old folks to which you are referencing are our teammates and they are no that old. Or did you forget that they were the ones that helped us begin to move in here two days ago?"
Gunnar rolled his eyes as he set down the box in his hands onto the kitchen counter. He and Jacoba had just moved into the house that they'd signed on over a week ago and this was going to be the first argument that they would have there. Truthfully, he was just happy that she had agreed to move in with him. Crazy cats and all.
"Doll, I just wanted to be sure that we're all on the same page."
Jacoba turned immediately, putting her hands on her hips and giving him a very intense glare. "You want to make sure that we're on the same page? Hon, we're not even in the same library!"
Gunnar sighed as he approached his woman, putting his arms around her and placing a kiss on her forehead as he held her close. "There's no reason to go off the rails, doll. I'm actually open to whatever, since we are now living together. I kinda just figured that you'd want your library in a room with a door."
Jacoba scoffed as she leaned back and put her arms around his neck. "Stig knows better than to do anything to my books, hon. Besides, if my library was upstairs, you wouldn't be seeing me in our bedroom."
He pulled her closer as he began to chuckle, leaning his head on her shoulder. "You may be right. I'd forgotten about the understanding you had with my cat."
"Oh, hush you. Stig is just as much my cat by now as he is yours. He loves me, and you know it. Now go use those muscles of yours to move some of the bedroom furniture to the appropriate rooms. I still don't understand why you all put all of the upstairs furniture in the same room."
Gunnar chuckled again before pulling back to give Jacoba a quick kiss on the lips. "You were the one that put Trench in charge of putting the furniture up there. And I knew you were admiring my muscles."
Jacoba stuck her tongue out at him before escaping his arms and making her way towards the room that would be her library. "Hon, it's hard for me to not admire your muscles. Oh, and on your other idea," she looked over her shoulder at him and smirked. "Do you really want to carry the boxes of books up the stairs?"
Gunnar's eyes widened. "Let's leave the library down here."
"I knew you'd see things my way."
