It was a hot summer's day in the Demon Realm, so hot in fact that some birds caught fire. Inside a house somewhere in downtown Bonesborough was a couple in their mid twenties. Twenty and twenty-one to be precise.
They were Palisman carver, Hunter and his beautiful girlfriend/Captain of the Emerald Entrails, Willow Park. They were currently living laying on the couch together watching something on the orb. Which was none other than Cosmic Frontier 2: The Force of Yahn.
Hunter was dressed in a Hawaiian shirt and a pair of beige shorts while Willow was dressed in a pair of flowery pyjama shorts and a sports bra, exposing all of her muscles for Hunter to admire.
He was lying on her abs as they watched the movie together.
"So, is this the one where Lieutenant Bexley dies?" She asked.
"No." Hunter responded.
"Which one is that?"
"Couple of movies later." But instead of focusing on the movie, he was more focused on his girlfriend's rock hard abs.
"We could go out today, if you want." Willow said.
"Sure, why not?" Hunter responded.
Willow began to notice how dazed and hypnotised her boyfriend was and raised a brow. She decided to have a bit of fun. "Hmmm, you know, I was hoping we could watch the worst Cosmic Frontier movie later."
"Sure, whatever, your choice." Hunter responded.
"Hmmmm, is that a gorenado I see?"
"Probably, yeah." Hunter responded.
"Hunter, you're not wearing any underwear." Willow said.
"Eh, no biggie." Hunter said before snapping out of his daze. "Wait, what?! I'm not?!" He sat up and looked through the rim of his shorts and exhaled.
Willow giggled, all while still lying down. "Were you hypnotised by my abs again?"
Hunter jumped back down on the couch and rested his chin on his girlfriend's rock hard abdomen. "How could I not? They're just incredible."
Willow chuckled. "You know, I can flaunt them but only my boyfriend gets to touch them."
Hunter removed his chin from his girlfriend and pulled a mischievous smile. "Oh, but does your boyfriend get permission to do this?" He kissed one pack of his girlfriend's body, causing her to chuckle.
"Hunter, that tickled." Willow laughed.
Hunter arched a brow. "Does it? How about here?" He kissed his girlfriend's other pack, causing her to laugh again.
"Hunter!" Willow laughed again. "You know I don't like that!"
Hunter grinned. "Stop laughing and maybe I'll stop." Hunter kissed two more of her packs, causing Willow to howl with laughter.
Hunter then began to leave kisses all over his girlfriend's body. Her torso, above her chest, her belly button and her sides; All while she was left rendered in a laughing fit.
"HUNTER! JUST STOP!" She pleaded all while laughing.
Hunter didn't stop. "Why should I?" He asked in-between kisses. "I'm engaging my enemy." Hunter kissed her abs again. "And nothing will stop me."
"Should I leave?" Asked the voice of Gus, causing Hunter to fall off the couch.
Willow sat up. "Hunter?! You okay?"
Hunter sat up off the floor and turned to the door to see Gus standing there with a shocked expression on his face. "Gus? What are you doing here?"
Gus was silent for a moment. "What were you doing to Willow?"
Hunter and Willow's cheeks turned red with embarrassment. "It's just…Something we do."
Gus sighed. "Yeah, I'm gonna want this removed from my memory. Luz wants us at the Owl House. She says she wants to do something fun with everyone. I'll see you there. And Willow, look decent." The illusionist witch shut the door, leaving the couple alone with embarrassment.
"I can't believe we did that." Hunter said.
Willow wrapped her arms around her boyfriend's neck and kissed the back of his neck. "Hey, we've been caught in more embarrassing situations. Remember when my abs were so hot that they were sizzling and you were cooking griffin eggs on them?"
Hunter laughed. "Luz was both surprised and confused." The couple shared a laugh together.
"I should get changed." Willow stood up and kissed her boyfriend's head. But as she walked, there was a sizzling sound coming from her stomach that sounded almost like a sizzling grill. "It's doing it again!"
Later, Willow, now dressed in her Emerald Entrails getup; And Hunter, had arrived at the Owl House. They carefully opened the door to make sure they didn't activate the portal to the Human Realm. When they entered the house, they saw that it was full of people.
This included Eda, Raine, Lilith, King, Hooty, Viney, Gus, Boscha, Jerbo, Steve, Skara, Emira, Edric, Vee, Masha, Amity, Barcus, Darius and Alador.
"Huh, a lot of people here." Hunter remarked.
"This must be important for Luz to get everyone here." Willow said.
Hunter and Willow sat on the floor close to the coffee table right near Alador and Barcus. "Do you know what Luz got us here for?" Hunter asked.
"Not a clue." Alador replied.
"Beats me." Barcus barked.
Luz eventually walked up in front of everyone to present herself to the crowd while holding a stand with a piece of paper on it.
"Morning everyone." Luz said. "You're probably wondering why you're here."
"I got better things to do!" Boscha exclaimed. "Why am I even here?!"
"Yeah, I wanted to do one thing today in this hot weather." Darius said. "Complain constantly at how hot it is."
"Yes, that is an issue today." Luz said. "Not just in the Demon Realm but in the Human Realm as well. Where it's like 81 degrees."
"Tell me about it." Masha raised their arms high in the air to reveal that their pits were sweating. "My pits are soaking."
"You think you have it rough?" King retorted while panting like a dog. "Try having fur!"
"I'm drinking as we speak." Eda groaned as she drank a glass of apple blood filled with ice cubes.
The Palismen, including Ghost, Waffles, Fiddlesticks, Owlbert, Jasper, Waffles, Clover and Emmeline were groaning due to the heat.
"Wait, is it hot?" Hooty asked. "It feels kind of cold to me."
"How?!" Skara screamed before she dunked her head into a bucket of water.
"Yeah Luz, I agree." Willow said.
"Abs sizzling?" She asked.
"Like a grill." Willow smiled.
"Just don't do that weird thing you and Hunter did, okay?" Luz asked.
Hunter exhaled. "She's not gonna let that go."
"What did they do?" Viney asked her girlfriend.
Skara pulled her head out of the water. "Oh, Hunter used Willow's abs as a grill and it weirded her out."
Viney blew a raspberry. "Please, I do that all the time with mine."
Lilith looked at the beast keeping witch in shock. "What is with young people these days?"
"So, I was thinking, in order to combat this heat, we go and have…" Luz held on to the collar of her shirt and the hem of her pants while Stringbean turned the page of Luz's plan to reveal a drawing of Luz in a bikini doing a pose while facing away from the blue ocean. Then, Luz tore her shirt and pants off with a loud shred to reveal that she was wearing a purple bikini with a moon crescents sewn on the fabric. "…A beach day!"
Everyone mumbled in agreement to the idea while Lilith looked on with a raised brow. "Uh…Luz, was it worth tearing your clothes off for that?"
"Well, I thought I'd make this little planning discussion a little more fitting." Luz replied. "That…" She struck a pose similar to the drawing. "…and I wanted to show off my new bikini. What do you think?"
Amity was speechless over seeing her girlfriend in a bikini. Her face was tomato red and her jaw was slack jawed wide open.
"Well, if you're looking for any kind of results…" Emira and her brother summoned a clipboard to study their sister's reaction to seeing Luz in a bikini.
"Her face is tomato red." Edric said before he and Em ticked off a list on their board.
"Jaw?" Emira asked.
"Open." Edric replied before the two ticked it off.
"Drool?"
"Dripping." Edric and Emira replied simultaneously before ticking it off.
Alador narrowed his eyes at his kids. "Edric, Emira…." He then summoned his own clipboard. "Is she showing signs of fainting?"
"No, but I think she will say some inane gibberish." Edric theorised.
All Amity could muster upon seeing her girlfriend in her bikini was stutters, croaks and gargles.
"Oh yeah." The Blight family ticked it off.
Luz narrowed her eyes at the Blights. "Could you stop analysing my girlfriend like that?"
"Sorry." Emira said before she, her brother and got rid of the clipboards by tossing them aside.
"Okay, okay, this is something I've been meaning to plan for the last five years ever since Eda mentioned it to me when we were going to rescue Francois." Luz said.
"We would have had twenty more adventures if someone didn't destroy the Isles." Eda glanced down at the floor along with everyone else.
"When me, Amity, Gus, Willow and Hunter were trapped in the Human Realm we did go to the beach but it didn't feel like a perfect beach day adventure." Luz said. "It was great sure. We had lunch, swam in the ocean, dived off a dock, Hunter even fought a shark."
Hunter shook his fist. "That shark had it coming. It looked like it wanted to eat me."
"But…It wasn't as crazy as I wanted it to be." Luz admitted. "It wasn't until I watched an Anime beach day episode with Amity when I realised I had the perfect beach day planned." Stringbean turned the page which showed a drawing of a beach. "I managed to find a very isolated beach off the coast of Massachusetts that rarely anyone goes to. Perfect fauna, cool ocean, soft sand and a dock for us to dive off of."
"Did you call sand soft?" Boscha asked. "Sand isn't soft. It's bristly, uncomfortable, annoying and gets all over."
"Well, that's your opinion." Luz said while Stringbean turned the page, revealing a drawing of her and everyone in the room sunbathing. "Once we arrive, we do all the various beach day activities which includes, getting a smoking tan…" Stringbean turned the page to reveal a drawing Luz and Amity swimming. "…Swimming in the ocean…" The next drawing showed Eda in a bikini. "…Putting on little clothing to soak up the summer air…"
Eda grinned. "Luz, you didn't need to draw me that hot but I'm glad you did. Surprised it wasn't Amity."
Stringbean turned the page to reveal a drawing of Willow and Hunter playing a game of volleyball against Skara and Viney. "A game of volleyball…" The next drawing Stringbean revealed was King building a sandcastle. "…Building a sandcastle…" The next drawing was of Gus and Steve diving off of the dock. "…Diving."
"Steve is gonna destroy you in a way a good sportsman does." Steve declared.
The next drawing was of Lilith wearing shades while surfing. "Surfing is also an activity."
Alador smiled like he was reminiscing. "That brings me back to the good old days."
"You surfed Mr Blight?" Luz asked, mildly impressed.
"Boiling sea surfing." Alador replied. "Very dangerous but a lot of fun."
The next drawing Stringbean revealed was a drawing of Vee and Masha diving together. "Diving is also part of a beach day." Luz said.
Vee smiled. "Good thing I can grow gills." She flashed a pair of gills, causing Barcus to growl.
"Show off." Barcus barked.
"We'll also eat watermelon as is tradition in most beach day episodes." Luz said while Stringbean showed a drawing of Lilith and Hooty eating a watermelon together.
"Why?" Jerbo asked. "Is it the coolest fruit in the Human Realm?"
"I…Honestly don't know why watermelons." Luz replied. "Any who…" The next drawing was of Camila cooking by a grill. "…Mama will prepare us our food…" Then the next one was of the whole beach day group dancing while Raine and Skara played the violin together. "And we will end it with a beach party before going home. Does that sound like a plan or what?"
There were murmurs of agreement as everyone agreed to the plan. "Sounds like a plan, sis." Vee replied.
"I gotta start buying a swimsuit!" Skara facepalmed herself.
"I gotta buy a swimsuit for me." Hooty said. "I need to flaunt some of my skin off."
"Please don't!" Luz pleaded, having the image of Hooty as a skeleton engraved in her memory. "Now, any questions?"
Barcus raised a paw. "You sure no humans will come?"
Luz blew a raspberry. "Don't worry Barcus. I made sure of it." Eda raised a hand. "Eda?"
"Is it a nude beach?" Eda asked with a teasing grin, causing Raine to blush.
"Eda!" Raine and Lilith chided.
"Eda, no!" Luz said. "This is not a nude beach! I repeat, not a nude beach."
Eda groaned. "Disappointing."
Hunter raised a hand. "Will there be a shark?"
"I hope not." Luz said.
Hooty raised a beak. "Hoot! Hoot! Can I eat your clothes that you tore off?"
Luz looked on the floor to see her shredded clothes that she tore off for show. "Eh, I got my actual signature outfit back at home. Fire away." Hooty ate the shredded clothes scattered across the floor, causing Luz to cringe. "Or maybe not." Eda raised her hand again. "Eda?"
"Okay, are you sure there isn't a nude beach nearby?" Eda asked.
"What is it with you and nude beaches?" Boscha asked. "Not that I wouldn't mind, it's just you have a weird obsession."
"Nude beaches are some of the greatest achievements ever achieved by humanity." Eda replied.
Luz cringed. "Eda, for the love of Titan don't go looking for a nude beach. Anymore questions?"
"How will we get to Massachusetts without anyone noticing?" Gus asked.
"That's where I come in, Hoot!" Hooty replied.
Everyone in the room, except for the stunned Amity, was shivering in fear over what this meant. "Ed, I'm scared." Emira said.
"So, am I. Hold me." Edric said.
"Don't need to tell me." Emira and Edric just held onto each other.
"Alright, I hope everyone has got that clear." Luz said. "Tomorrow we go swimsuit shopping and the day after a the beach for some well needed R&R." Stringbean then shifted into a backpack that Luz began to dig through her to find her signature clothes. Orange pants with sewn in patches, a striped shirt and a purple jacket. "Great…" as she spoke, Luz was putting her clothes back on. "…I hope everyone is clear. We are gonna have some fun this week. With no schemes, no ruses, no plots and definitely no shenanigans."
Eda raised her hook hand. "And no nude beaches?"
"NO NUDE BEACHES!" Luz screamed.
"Oh, Luz, I got a question." Raine said.
"Fire away, Raine." Luz said.
"Is Amity going to be okay?" Raine asked with concern.
Luz looked to her stunned girlfriend with concern. "I think I stunned her too good. I mean, I know she thinks I'm gorgeous but I don't think she meant it that way."
Amity then fainted from the shock of the swimsuit. Then, Eda pulled a clipboard from under the couch and ticked something off with her hook hand. "Fainting from shock."
