THE HALLWAY.

Bobby walked down the hallway and made his way over to his locker, unlocked it with his combination, opened it, got out his messenger-bag, put it on across his right shoulder, and closed the locker back.

Bobby then decided to return to History class to see if Laura had made it back there safely. He walked down the hallway and soon stopped at the door of History class. He looked in through the window of the door to see if Laura was in there sitting at her desk, and sure enough, she was. He then moved away from the window so no one would see him. He couldn't believe he had been suspended twice in two days. And over things that weren't even his fault, no less. But at least he wouldn't have any homework for the next two days, which meant he would be able to read more of Kumandra without stopping.

He immediately felt a sense of dread. He would have to explain to his Dad why he wouldn't have school the next two days, which would very likely result in another senseless pounding. With any luck, his Dad was still out getting drunk and would be too wasted to care when he told him. He hoped his Dad was still working at the Saloon, but there was no way for him to know that, since he never came home yesterday...again.

What was he suppose to do? He couldn't stay at school, he couldn't go home. So where was he suppose to go? Then a thought entered his mind on where he could spend the rest of the school day. A place where no one would find him of think to look for him. The school's attic. Hardly anyone went up there except during the holidays to retrieve decorations and merchandise to put up around school. The perfect place for him to hide.

Bobby crouched down and made his way past the door so no one would see him from inside the class through the door's window. Once he was past the door, he stood up and ran down the hall and soon arrived at the attic door. He reached inside the covert on the wall, got out the key to the attic, and used it to unlock the key to the attic door, followed by opening it, going inside and closing it.
