Chapter 3: Sweet Justice
At the junkyard, Wonder Woman had gathered them all together to train them to be heroes. While Beetle and Shadow Claw did well since they already had experience, the rest struggled. Supergirl was too destructive, Batgirl got distracted easily, Bumblebee was too afraid, Zatanna kept trying to put on a show, and Green Lantern refused to even throw a punch.
Meanwhile, Diana's normal teenage training wasn't going much better. She took expressions literally, attacked a woman who tried to do her nails at the spa, and when they took her to a movie, she thought the guy about to kiss the girl was attacking her and sliced the screen in half.
"Ladies, gentlemen, and kwamis, after a night like tonight, there is only one thing that can cement this friendship: frosting!" Zee smiled, gesturing to a sweets shop in front of them.
"Sweet Justice!" Kara, Karen, and Jessica grinned as the four of them ran in, while Jake, Izuku, Diana, and Barbara were confused.
Little did they know, at LEXCORP, a mysterious figure was typing on a large computer before inputting a code and turning on hundreds of robots. These robots left a nearby warehouse, posted notices of demolition at the nail salon and the movie theater, and then tore them down.
At Sweet Justice, the Miraculous League team was inside. Jake, Izuku, Diana, and Barbara looked at the place and all the ice cream and everything.
"So, this is where you guys hang out?" Jake asked, eyes wide with curiosity.
"Yep, it's our favorite spot," Kara said with a grin, already grabbing a scoop of her favorite flavor.
Izuku looked around in awe. "This place is amazing! I've never seen so many different kinds of ice cream."
Barbara nodded. "Yeah, it's pretty cool. We come here to relax after a tough day."
Diana, still trying to adjust to modern life, cautiously picked up a cone. "Is this... ambrosia?" she asked, her eyes wide.
"No, it's just ice cream," Zee laughed. "But it's pretty close."
As they enjoyed their treats, the conversation shifted to their training.
"I just don't get why we have to do all these exercises,"Kara said, taking a big bite of her sundae. "I mean, we already have powers."
"Training isn't just about powers," Diana explained. "It's about discipline, teamwork, and understanding your strengths and weaknesses."
Jake nodded thoughtfully. "That makes sense. We can't just rely on our abilities. We need to know how to work together and handle different situations."
Izuku, always the eager learner, added, "And it helps us get better control over our quirks... er, I mean, powers."
Diana smiled, feeling a bit more comfortable. "I guess there's a lot I still need to learn about this world."
As they continued to chat and enjoy their ice cream, the mysterious figure at LEXCORP watched them through hidden cameras, a sinister smile creeping onto their face. The robots were just the beginning, and the team would soon face challenges unlike any they had ever encountered.
Back at Sweet Justice, Karen, Jessica, and Zatanna got the ice cream and sat at the same table with their friends.
"This place really is amazing," Jake said, savoring a bite of his ice cream.
Izuku nodded enthusiastically. "I could get used to this."
"So, how do you all feel about the training?" Jessica asked, looking around the table.
"It's tough," Kara admitted, "but I get why we need it."
Barbara agreed. "Yeah, I need to work on staying focused. I get distracted too easily."
"I just need to stop being so scared," Karen said quietly. "I know I have it in me to be brave."
"And I need to remember that this isn't a stage performance," Zatanna added with a sheepish smile.
"You're all doing great," Diana reassured them. "Training is supposed to be challenging. It's how we grow."
"What about you, Diana?" Karen asked. "How are you finding things?"
Diana looked thoughtful. "It's... different. I'm learning a lot about this world and its customs. But it's good to have friends who understand."
As they continued to enjoy their ice cream, the conversation became more relaxed. They shared stories, laughed, and bonded over their experiences.
"Hey, what are you doing? We turned down the offer. Get outta here," the owner said as they looked to the front and saw a crowd.
"We said we wouldn't sell. Barry, go get our lawyer," his wife said as Barry ran to the back.
"Lawyer? Why do they need a lawyer?" Jessica asked when robots entered the store.
"Attention citizens, this business or dwelling is scheduled for immediate destruction. By order of Metropolis, you must leave before structure removal begins. You have 30 seconds," the robot stated, causing everyone to run out screaming.
"What should we do?" Kara asked.
"What can we do? They're city robots," Zee said.
"You have 15 seconds."
"Please, let's go. Nothing you say is going to stop them," the owner's wife said.
"But they can't tear this place down without your permission. This doesn't make sense," Jessica said.
"You have 10 seconds."
"Is this a law we must obey, or should we fight?" Diana asked as Jake and Izuku looked at each other before running out. "Jake? Izuku, come back."
"We should run too," Karen said.
"Time is up. Begin demolition," the robots said as saws and hammers came out of them.
The girls gasped when suddenly Beetle and Shadow Claw jumped in and kicked the robots out of the way.
"Sorry, girls. You know, secret identities and all. We had to get dressed up for the occasion," Beetle said, spinning his yo-yo.
"You guys came back?" Barbara smiled.
"Duh, being a hero isn't always about listening to the law. It's about doing the right thing because it's the right thing to do. We're heroes; time to act like them," Shadow Claw said.
Inspired by that, the girls suited up, and Supergirl flew in and punched a robot. "This is our time."
"Words worthy of Athena," Wonder Woman said as they attacked the robots.
Zatanna blasted a robot, making it disappear. "Thank you, nothing gets past the great Zatanna."
"Zatanna, some just got past you!" Shadow Claw said, pointing to two robots heading towards people wearing weird glasses.
"Why do they not run? Supergirl, you must—" Diana started to say.
"I'm on it!" Supergirl interrupted, punching the robot away, but it ended up going straight for other civilians wearing the same glasses. "Oops."
"Whoa!" Green Lantern created a trampoline, but it made the robot fly into the corner, causing the roof to crack.
"Man, this is just like the entrance back at UA," Beetle said, throwing his yo-yo and wrapping it around a robot. "Over to you, Shadow Claw."
"I know, right?" Shadow Claw said, activating full cowling as green electricity surrounded his body. "Smash!" he shouted, kicking the robot into pieces.
"Bumblebee, try short-circuiting them!" Green Lantern said as Bumblebee looked at the robots.
"I can't! It's too scary! I don't want to. I can't!" she panicked before flying away.
"Take that, hideous beasts!" Zatanna said, blasting robots away, but she got caught up and ended up blasting Wonder Woman into Supergirl. "I didn't mean you!"
Before they went smashing into the wall, Shadow Claw caught them, preventing the cracks from growing.
"Where have you been?" Wonder Woman asked.
"Clearing out civilians. Beetle, time to take out the garbage!" Shadow Claw said as Beetle threw his yo-yo around each of the robots, throwing them through the windows and out into the streets where Shadow Claw used Black Whip to capture each one and destroy them with Cataclysm. The six superhero girls gasped at their amazing teamwork.
"Such skills," Wonder Woman said in awe as Shadow Claw punched through the last robot.
"Pound it," Shadow Claw and Beetle said, fist-bumping as the others ran out.
"They even have their own victory pose? So cool," Batgirl said.
"That was amazing," Zatanna said when the building collapsed from all the damage.
"Or not," Green Lantern cringed.
"At least no one was hurt," Bumblebee said, trying to cheer them up when suddenly a small squadron of fully armored muscular women surrounded the team, all wearing armor similar to Diana's.
"You just had to jinx it," Supergirl glared.
"Diana!" a female voice boomed. Emerging from the back was a muscular woman with long blonde hair, a small crown, and animal fur draped down her back like a cape. This was Queen Hippolyta. "You are in so much trouble, young lady."
"Friends…this is my mother," Diana admitted.
"She looks angry," Bumblebee said, hiding behind Supergirl.
"Dude, your mom looks like a final boss," Batgirl whimpered.
"I have come to take my runaway daughter back home," Hippolyta said, surprising them.
"Wait, I thought it was your destiny to save the world of man?" Zatanna asked.
"She has no destiny. She disguised herself as a warrior, took part in the tournament of Athena and Aphrodite without my permission, and stole a boat to come here."
"Diana, you snuck out?" Green Lantern asked.
Diana looked down, embarrassed. "I wanted to prove myself, to show that I could be a true hero."
"By disobeying me and endangering yourself?" Hippolyta said sternly. "You may have noble intentions, but your actions were reckless."
"But she's been amazing!" Batgirl interjected. "She's helped us so much and saved countless lives."
"Yeah, Diana is a real hero," Supergirl added. "We couldn't have done any of this without her."
Hippolyta's stern expression softened slightly as she looked at her daughter. "Is this true, Diana? Have you truly made such an impact?"
Diana nodded. "Yes, Mother. I've learned so much here, and I've grown stronger. But more importantly, I've learned the value of teamwork and friendship."
Hippolyta sighed. "I understand your desire to help, but you still have much to learn about responsibility and wisdom."
Shadowclaw stepped forward, his eyes filled with determination. "We've all learned a lot from Diana. She's an incredible warrior, but she's also a great friend and leader. We need her here."
"Please, Queen Hippolyta," beetle added. "Give her a chance to continue her mission. We promise to look after her."
Hippolyta looked at the group, seeing the sincerity in their eyes. "Very well. I will allow Diana to stay, but I will be watching closely. Any sign of recklessness, and she will return home immediately."
"Thank you, Mother," Diana said, relief washing over her. "I won't let you down."
"See that you don't," Hippolyta said, her tone still firm but with a hint of pride. She turned to the squadron of armored women. "We will return to Themyscira. Diana, remember your training and your heritage."
As the Amazons departed, the team let out a collective sigh of relief.
"That was intense," Green lantern said, shaking her head.
"Yeah, but you handled it well," beetle said, smiling at Wonder woman .
Wonder woman smiled back. "Thank you, all of you. I wouldn't be here without your support."
"Now, let's focus on figuring out who sent those robots," Batgirl said, her eyes narrowing in determination. "We need to get to the bottom of this."
Until a giant robot crashed down in front of the team
The team stood their ground as a giant robot crashed down in front of them, its metallic frame towering ominously. A familiar voice emanated from the robot's speakers, sending chills down their spines.
"Miraculous League ," the robotic voice echoed, "you have interfered with my plans for the last time. Prepare to be eliminated."
"Lex Luthor!" Supergirl exclaimed, recognizing the voice immediately.
"We need to take this thing down!" Green Lantern shouted, creating a protective shield around the team.
The giant robot extended a massive blaster, firing a sticky substance that trapped the girls together, immobilizing them.
"Shadow Claw, !" Wonder Woman yelled as she struggled against the adhesive. "Quickly, grab Beetle!"
Reacting swiftly, Shadow Claw grabbed Beetle just as another shot of glue was about to hit them. Beetle twisted in mid-air, managing to escape and land gracefully on a nearby rooftop.
"We're stuck!" Zatanna exclaimed, struggling against the strong adhesive.
"Not for long. If I use my Cataclysm," Shadow Claw said, but nothing happened.
"Wait, why isn't it working?" he asked.
"The Watcher probably removed our time limits," Beetle said.
"Why would he do that?" Shadow Claw asked.
"You know, to keep things more interesting. It's the whole reason why we're here," Beetle explained.
"Wait, the whole reason why we're here?" Beetle repeated.
"Yeah," Shadow Claw confused .
"Remember the gifts The Watcher gave us? Your danger sense and with me the new Miraculouses," Beetle said as he opened his yo-yo and took out a silver bracelet and a keychain with a grenade on it.
"Take this," Beetle said, giving him the keychain.
"Okay," Shadow Claw said, confused.
"We're going to take this guy down, but we're going to unify," Beetle said.
"You only did that once, against Kaachan," Shadow Claw said, realizing what Beetle meant.
"Spots off," Beetle said, de-transforming back into Jake.
"Claws in," Shadow Claw said, de-transforming back into Izuku.
Meanwhile, the girls struggled to free themselves from the sticky adhesive that bound them together. Wonder Woman grunted as she strained against the glue, while Supergirl tried to use her heat vision to weaken it.
"This stuff is tough!" Batgirl exclaimed, her fingers working furiously to find any weak spots.
"Where are Jake and Izuku? They should have been back by now," Zatanna said, frustration evident in her voice.
"I hope they're okay," Bumblebee muttered, trying to wriggle free from her sticky confinement.
"They'll be here," Wonder Woman reassured them, her voice filled with determination. "We just need to hold on a little longer."
Back on the rooftop, Jake and Izuku were looking at each other.
"So, are you ready to do this?" Jake asked as Kwasi flew out of his pocket.
"Yeah, I want to show the world that I am here," Izuku said as Ravage flew out of his pocket.
"All right then," Jake said, putting on the bracelet. A bright silver light emerged from it, and when the light died down, a small silver wolf-like creature was floating in the air.
"I'm a kwami. The name's Fang," he said.
This made Jake smile, thinking about his brother back in his old world.
"Okay, let's do this," Izuku said, clipping the keychain to his pants. A bright orange light emerged from it, and when the light died down, a small orange coyote-like creature was floating in the air.
"What's up? I'm your kwami. The name's Blast," he said.
Izuku smiled, his kwami reminding him of Bakugou.
"Kwasi, Fang, unify," Jake said, unifying the Ladybug Miraculous and the Wolf Miraculous, becoming a brand new hero in a brand new suit.
"Ravage, Blast, unify," Izuku said, unifying the Black Cat Miraculous and the Coyote Miraculous, becoming a brand new hero in a brand new suit.
Jake's new suit combines red and black with silver patterns for agility and strength. It features reinforced armor on shoulders and forearms, a small wolf emblem on the chest, gloves with retractable claws, and boots with enhanced grip and red lenses in the mask.
Izuku's new suit blends black and vibrant orange for stealth and agility. It includes flexible material for fluid movement, orange highlights for speed, a small coyote emblem on the chest, gloves with retractable claws, boots with shock-absorbing soles, and sleek orange lenses in the mask.
"Wow, this is what unifying both Miraculous feel like," Izuku said.
"Yeah, you get used to it," Jake replied, taking out his yo-yo and his new sword, the blade shaped like a crescent moon.
"Okay," Izuku said, taking out his staff, which looked different with dynamite sticks at the end of it.
"So, what should we call ourselves now that we've unified the Miraculous?" Izuku asked.
"Call me Beetle Claw," Jake said.
"Okay then, call me Shadow Coyote," Izuku replied.
"Beetle Claw and Shadow Coyote? That's incredible!" Zatanna exclaimed, her eyes wide with excitement as she watched Jake and Izuku in their transformed states.
"Wow, you guys managed to unify your Miraculous! That's amazing!" Bumblebee added, a grin spreading across her face despite their predicament.
"Dude, those names are epic," Batgirl said, nodding in approval.
Supergirl , examining their new suits. "You both look ready to kick some robot butt."
Wonder Woman with a proud smile. "Jake, Izuku, these forms reflect your unity with the Miraculous. They're a symbol of your strength and determination."
"We're counting on you, Beetle Claw and Shadow Coyote," Bumblebee added, her voice filled with admiration.
Beetle Claw jumped and swung, using his yo-yo to get on top of the robot. He ran across the robot's arm and used a sword to cut the girls free.
Some of the girls were falling. Supergirl caught Batgirl, Bumblebee caught Wonder Woman, and Zatanna used a magical spell to float herself down to safety. Green Lantern used her ring to fly down to safety as well.
"Well, that was easy enough," Shadow Coyote said before he used his staff to block a punch from the robot, sending it back into a wall.
"Izuku!" they yelled.
"Okay, now I'm pissed! One For All, 12%, Full Cowling!" Shadow Coyote said as green electricity crackled around his body.
"Alright, guys, let's take this robot down," Beetle Claw said, drawing his sword and spinning his yo-yo.
"Miraculous League, go!" Beetle Claw exclaimed.
As the Miraculous League regrouped, they faced the towering robot with determination blazing in their eyes.
Beetle Claw leaped from the robot's arm, landing gracefully beside Shadow Coyote. His yo-yo spun rapidly as he swung it around, creating a protective barrier of energy that surrounded the team.
"Let's show them what we're made of!" Beetle Claw shouted, his sword gleaming in the sunlight.
Shadow Coyote nodded, electricity crackling around him as he dashed forward. With incredible speed, he delivered a series of lightning-fast strikes, each blow landing with precision on the robot's armored chassis.
Meanwhile, Supergirl and Bumblebee joined forces, using their respective strengths to launch a coordinated assault. Supergirl soared into the air, unleashing a powerful heat vision blast that scorched the robot's surface. Bumblebee darted around its legs, delivering rapid electrical pulses that disrupted its systems.
Wonder Woman, freed from her restraints, charged into battle with fierce determination. Her lasso of truth twirled through the air, ensnaring the robot's limbs and pulling them off balance. With a mighty heave, she brought the robot crashing to its knees.
Zatanna, her voice ringing out with incantations, wove spells of containment and confusion around the robot. Arcane symbols shimmered in the air as bolts of mystical energy struck the robot from all sides, weakening its defenses.
Green Lantern, creating constructs of pure energy, erected barriers to shield her teammates from the robot's retaliatory attacks. Her constructs formed intricate patterns that shifted and adapted to the changing battlefield, providing crucial protection.
Batgirl, agile and resourceful, swung into action with acrobatic grace. She leaped from rooftop to rooftop, launching surprise attacks and targeting vulnerable spots on the robot's body with precise strikes from her batons.
"Keep pushing!" Wonder Woman called out, her voice a rallying cry amidst the chaos. "We've almost got it!"
"Okay, time for my Moon Call!" Beetle Claw's bracelet glowed as he took a deep breath before releasing a sonic howl attack, sending the robot flying backwards in the opposite direction.
The robot teetered on the edge of collapse until Supergirl caught it, supported by Green Lantern and Wonder Woman.
"It's time to finish this," Shadow Coyote said, using Black Whip to wrap around the robot and hold it still.
"Yeah," Wonder Woman agreed, using her lasso to secure the robot's other arm.
"Finish it off!" Batgirl commanded, using her grappling hook to entangle the robot's legs.
Bumblebee shrunk and infiltrated the robot, pulling out critical wires and disabling its systems.
"Let's make this robot disappear for good," Zatanna declared, pulling a rope from her magic hat and tying the robot up securely.
"Thanks, team," Beetle Claw said gratefully.
"Lucky Charm!" Beetle Claw exclaimed, tossing his yo-yo into the air. It transformed into a collection of scattered objects: a broken streetlight, a pile of discarded metal bars, and a set of glowing crystals.
Beetle Claw surveyed the assortment, scratching his head. "Okay, this is unexpected..."
Shadow Coyote stepped forward, examining the items. "Maybe we can use these to our advantage."
Wonder Woman nodded, her lasso at the ready. "Let's think. The robot's weak point might be..."
Before she could finish, the robot surged forward, its metallic arms swinging wildly. Supergirl and Bumblebee moved quickly, Supergirl catching Batgirl mid-air and Bumblebee deflecting a blow with her small size.
"We need a plan, now!" Shadow Coyote shouted, deflecting another blow with his staff.
Beetle Claw's eyes lit up as an idea struck him. "I've got it! Supergirl, use the broken streetlight as a conductive rod!"
Supergirl nodded, flying up and grabbing the broken streetlight. Lightning crackled around her as she directed the charge into the robot's exposed circuits, causing it to stagger back.
Meanwhile, Bumblebee darted around, collecting the glowing crystals. "I'll use these to disrupt its sensors!"
With precision, she hurled the crystals at the robot, each impact causing its systems to glitch and falter.
Wonder Woman swung her lasso, wrapping it around one of the discarded metal bars. "Let's immobilize it!"
The lasso tightened, anchoring the robot's arm to the ground. It struggled, but the combined efforts of the team held it fast.
Zatanna stepped forward, her magic swirling around her. "I'll create a barrier to contain it!"
With a flick of her wand, she summoned a mystical shield around the robot, trapping it in a dome of shimmering energy.
"Keep it contained!" Beetle Claw shouted, watching as the robot thrashed against their combined efforts.
"Almost there!" Shadow Coyote yelled, delivering a powerful blow with his electrified staff.
With a final surge of effort, they overwhelmed the robot's defenses. It shuddered, sparks flying from its damaged circuits as it finally powered down.
"We did it!" Beetle Claw exclaimed, relief flooding through him. "Great job, everyone!"
"After the robot was defeated, Beetle claw and Shadow coyote reverted back to Beetle and Shadowclaw."
"Okay, time to fix everything, Miraculous Beetle!" Beetle yelled as he threw the scattered objects they had used into the air. Red lights emanated from them, reverting everything back to normal.
The team watched as the affected area returned to its original state, the chaotic remnants of battle fading away.
"Nice work, Beetle," Shadowclaw said, nodding in approval. "You really pulled it off with that lucky charm."
Beetle grinned, relieved that their impromptu plan had succeeded. "Thanks, Shadowclaw. But we couldn't have done it without everyone's help."
Supergirl flew down, landing gracefully beside them with a smile. "That was amazing teamwork, guys. We make a pretty formidable team."
"We sure do," Wonder Woman agreed, her lasso coiled at her side. "Metropolis is lucky to have us."
Green Lantern approached, her ring glowing faintly. "Let's make sure everything's secure before we head back."
Batgirl swung down from a nearby rooftop, landing lightly. "Nice job, everyone. You handled that robot like pros."
Bumblebee shrunk down to her normal size, nodding in agreement. "Yeah, it was touch and go for a moment there, but we pulled through."
Zatanna stepped forward, her magical aura still faintly shimmering. "And we did it with style. No one can match the Miraculous League."
Pound it." The heroes said fist bumping
Back at the penthouse, the team gathered around the television, watching the news coverage of their recent battle.
"Looks like the city is already talking about us," Jake remarked, his eyes fixed on the screen where footage of their fight played on loop.
"Yeah, it's good to see some positive press," Izuku said with a nod, crossing his arms.
Meanwhile, in the kitchen, kwasi and Ravage were enjoying a snack. Ravage nibbled on a piece of Camembert cheese, savoring its flavor, while kwasi wrinkled his nose in distaste.
"Seriously, Ravage? Camembert again?" Kwasi complained, his voice muffled through a mouthful of cheese.
Ravage shrugged, swallowing before replying, "Hey, don't knock it till you try it. It's an acquired taste."
Kwasi shook his head, amused. "I'll take your word for it. I'm sticking to my sweets."
Back in the living room, Diana turned to the others, her expression thoughtful. "We handled that robot well today, but there's always more out there. We need to stay vigilant."
Karen nodded in agreement, her gaze focused. "Absolutely. We can't afford to let our guard down."
Barbara chimed in, leaning forward with a determined look. "And we need to be ready for whatever comes next."
Kara grinned, her confidence evident. "With this team, we can handle anything."
Zatanna raised her hands, a playful sparkle in her eyes. "To victory and more magical adventures!"
Just then, Jake and Izuku entered the room, Kwasi and Ravage trotting in behind them.
Jake nodded, his expression serious. "Diana's right. We can't underestimate what's out there. We need to be prepared."
Izuku agreed, his eyes focused. "Every challenge makes us stronger. We'll face it together, as a team."
"Thanks for waiting for us," Jake added, giving a grateful smile to the group.
Izuku nodded in agreement, "Yeah, thanks everyone."
Jess smiled at them warmly. "Team movie night, anyone?" she asked, holding out a bowl of popcorn.
"Perfect timing!" Diana exclaimed, reaching for a handful of popcorn. "What's on the agenda tonight?"
Jess settled onto the couch, passing the popcorn around. "I was thinking something light-hearted to unwind. How about that new superhero comedy?"
Karen nodded enthusiastically. "Sounds like just what we need after today. Count me in."
Barbara smirked. "As long as it's not another documentary on villain strategies, I'm game."
Kara chuckled. "I'm up for anything that involves snacks and good company."
Zatanna waved her hand dramatically. "I foresee a fun night ahead! Movie magic, here we come."
As they settled in, Kwasi and Ravage eyed the bowl of popcorn with interest, making playful attempts to reach it.
"Whoa there, guys," Jake said, chuckling as he gently nudged Kwasi away from the popcorn bowl. "Not for you."
Izuku grinned, trying to distract Ravage with a toy. "Sorry, buddy. This popcorn's not for kwamis."
Kwasi and Ravage pouted in protest but settled down nearby, content to watch the movie unfold with their human friends. The team relaxed together, enjoying their downtime after a day of heroics and bonding over their shared experiences.
Outside of the penthouse, the Watcher looked down at the team with a satisfied smile on his face, observing them through a shimmering portal. He watched as Jake and Izuku interacted with their newfound friends and teammates, seeing how they had integrated into this universe seamlessly.
"Maybe I made a good choice putting Jake and Izuku in this universe," the Watcher mused to himself, his eyes twinkling with a hint of amusement and pride. He knew the potential of these two heroes from different worlds coming together, and seeing them now, he felt reassured that they would play a crucial role in the challenges ahead.
As the team continued their discussion and bonding inside, unaware of the Watcher's presence, he quietly closed the portal, leaving them to their well-deserved moment of camaraderie and preparing himself for the next twist in their intertwined destinies.
