Chapter 2: New Life and Stormy Weather
"It's a bright, sunny day in Paris as a local competition is being broadcasted."
"Welcome to the finals of our Kidz Plus competition, where today we will announce our new Kidz Plus Weather Girl," the announcer said as a limo pulled up with two girls.
One had blonde hair in a ponytail and a blue parasol, the other girl had dark blue hair.
"We started off with over 5,000 contestants, and thanks to our audience at home, we are down to these two fantastic ladies," the announcer pointed to the blonde girl on the right. "To my right, Aurore Beaureal!" He then pointed to the girl on the left. "And to my left, Mireille Caquet! Who will be our lucky winner? Text one for Aurore and two for Mireille," the announcer said as the screen moved backwards to reveal the whole thing was a video on a phone.
In the park, Oliver and Leo were watching the broadcast live with their Animorphs, Shade and Cloud, watching from their jacket pockets.
"You know, Master Fu told us to go to the park so you guys can get used to your surroundings here, right?" Cloud said.
"Not to mention, you guys shouldn't be on your phone too much," Shade added.
"Oh, stop talking you two and eat your food . Besides, it's been a whole week since we first got into this new world. We're just trying to relax," Oliver said.
"Plus, after what Master Fu told us, this is pretty heavy," Leo said as they remembered what Master Fu had told them.
Last week, Master Fu took Oliver and Leo inside his massage parlor and instructed the two boys to sit down.
"So, explain to me what happened," Master Fu said with interest.
Oliver began, "You see, we accidentally came here," he said, gesturing, "through a portal, and we can't get back," he continued.
Leo added, "We don't know what to do."
As Shade and Cloud flew out of their pockets, both Oliver and Leo went wide-eyed and yelled, "Get back here
Master Fu chuckled. "They're okay. Those are some interesting kwamis," he said, observing the interaction.
"They're not kwamis, they're Animorphs," Leo corrected.
Curious, Oliver asked, "What is a kwami and a miraculous anyway?" with curiosity
Master Fu nodded, acknowledging their confusion. "A kwami is a magical creature that grants power to the holder of a Miraculous," he explained. "The Miraculous is an object that allows its holder to transform into a superhero with special abilities."
Oliver and Leo exchanged puzzled looks. "So, like superheroes?" Oliver asked.
"In a way, yes," Master Fu replied. "But these superheroes, known as Miraculous holders, are entrusted with protecting the city and maintaining balance."
Master Fu leaned forward, intrigued. "And what about the Animorphs?" he inquired.
Oliver cleared his throat, eager to share their knowledge. "Master Fu, the Animorphs are ancient beings with their own unique powers, similar to kwamis but with a different purpose," he explained thoughtfully.
Leo nodded in agreement. "They're kind of like guardians, but their role is to ensure the balance of nature and protect against any threats to the environment," he added.
Master Fu listened intently, intrigued by their description. "Fascinating," he remarked. "It seems you both have a deep understanding of these creatures."
"We've spent a lot of time studying them," Oliver admitted. "Back in our world, the Animorphs were revered as legendary beings, and their stories were passed down through generations."
Leo chimed in, his eyes alight with excitement. "We never imagined we'd have the chance to encounter them in person, let alone become connected to them," he said.
Master Fu nodded thoughtfully. "Your knowledge and respect for these beings will serve you well," he said. "It appears that fate has brought you here for a reason, and you must embrace this opportunity to learn and grow."
Leo nodded, absorbing the information. "So, does that mean we're chosen to be guardians here?" he wondered aloud
Master Fu smiled. "Perhaps," he said cryptically. "But for now, it seems you've been brought here for a reason. You must embrace this new chapter in your lives and make the most of it."
Oliver and Leo exchanged determined glances, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead. "We will," they said in unison.
Back in the present, "Too much thinking, just be happy we're here, Leo, okay," Shade said, going back into his pocket.
Leo nodded. "Yeah, you're right," he said.
"We always are," Cloud added as he went back into Oliver's pocket.
Oliver rolled his eyes. "Thanks for the tip, guys."
Then, they looked around the park and spotted a photographer setting up for what looked like a photoshoot.
"Hmm, I wonder what's going on?" Oliver said.
"Let's go find out," Leo said.
As they got up and walked towards it, they noticed a boy with blonde hair and light green eyes.
"Ah, that's Adrien Agreste. His dad has his own fashion brand of clothes and stuff," Leo said.
Oliver raised an eyebrow. "How did you know about that?"
Leo's face flushed red with embarrassment. "I did some research."
Oliver smiled and said, "Come on," grabbing his brother by the hand. "Let's go say hi."
"Hey, are you Adrien Agreste? My brother wants to say hi," Oliver called out.
Adrien looked at the two boys approaching him and gave them a wave. "Hi, I'm Adrien Agreste."
"Nice to meet you, Adrien. I'm Oliver, and this is my brother Leo," Oliver said, extending his hand.
Leo nodded in greeting. "Hey," he said with a friendly smile.
Adrien shook their hands. "It's great to meet you guys. Are you here for the photoshoot too?" he asked.
Oliver shrugged. "Not exactly. We were just curious about what was going on. Looks like it's going to be a big event," he said, glancing around at the setup.
"Yeah, my dad's launching his new line, and I'm supposed to model some of the clothes," Adrien explained.
"That's awesome! You must be pretty excited," Leo remarked.
Adrien nodded eagerly. "Definitely! It's always fun to be a part of my dad's projects. Plus, I get to meet a lot of interesting people," he said with a grin.
As they chatted, Oliver and Leo couldn't help but feel drawn into Adrien's friendly demeanor. It was refreshing to meet someone so down-to-earth despite his prestigious background.
Suddenly, a woman approached them, holding a clipboard. "Adrien, darling, we're ready for you. It's time to get you into wardrobe," she said with a warm smile.
Adrien turned to Oliver and Leo. "Well, it was nice meeting you guys. Maybe we'll run into each other again sometime," he said before following the woman towards the wardrobe area.
Oliver and Leo watched him go, feeling a sense of excitement and anticipation for what else this new world had in store for them.
As the two brothers sit back down on the bench to see the results for the weather girl contest.
As the countdown clock starts the Announcer appears on screen.
"This is the moment you've been waiting for! The viewers have made their decision. And the new Kidz Plus Weathergirl is Mireille!"
The crowd erupts in cheers as the results show Mireille winning by a landslide.
Man, she crushed you, better luck next time." The announcer said to Aurore as she stormed out in anger.
"Hmm shame, I thought Aurore had a better chance," Oliver said, turning off his phone.
Leo nodded in agreement. "Yeah, sometimes things just don't go the way you expect them to."
Oliver sighed. "True. But hey, at least we got to witness it firsthand. It's all part of the experience of being here," he said optimistically.
Leo nodded, a smile forming on his face. "Yeah, you're right. And who knows what other exciting things we'll get to see and do in Paris?"
Oliver grinned. "Exactly! Let's make the most of our time here and embrace every opportunity that comes our way."
As they sat on the bench, watching the bustling activity in the park, Oliver and Leo felt a sense of excitement and anticipation for the adventures that lay ahead in their new home.
In an unknown location a window opens and dozens of white butterflies fly around, in the center of all of it was Hawkmoth.
"The vibrations are so strong I can feel the imminent anger and sadness, the moment of weakness in my next victim, such easy prey for my Akuma." Hawkmoth infects the
butterfly with darkness before releasing it to infect his new victim.
At the station Aurore was getting into the elevator furious about the results.
"I should have won. I had the talent, the star looks everything! But she took it away from me. They took everything away from me!" Aurore said when the elevator comes to
a sudden stop startling her.
She looks around to find the cause and sees Akuma sliding in through the crack in the elevator door. Aurore tries to swat it away with her parasol, but the Akuma goes
into it infecting Aurore.
"So correct. You should have won, yes. Stormy Weather I am Hawk Moth. I give you the power to see revenge on them as my weathergirl. All you have to do is bring me the
Miraculous. Can you do that?" Hawk Moth asks.
"Yes." Aurore said as she transformed
Back in the park, Oliver and Leo were watching the photo shoot when they noticed three people in the trees behind Adrien.
One of them had black hair with blue reflections and blue eyes, while the other girl had curly brown hair, tan skin, and hazel eyes. It was Marinette, Alya, and a little girl.
As the photographer took pictures, Alya and the girl were walking normally, while Marinette was walking in a strange manner, as if she were hiding something and doing a poor job of it.
When Adrien spotted them, he waved to them, and Marinette freaked out.
"Come on, girl, let's go," Alya said, pulling Marinette to the side when she spotted two boys sitting down, just watching them with a confused look on their faces.
Oliver and Leo exchanged curious glances as they watched the scene unfold. They couldn't help but wonder what Marinette was trying to hide and why she seemed so flustered.
"Who are they?" Leo whispered to Oliver, nodding towards Marinette and her friends.
Oliver shrugged, equally intrigued. "No idea, but they seem to be up to something," he replied, his eyes fixed on Marinette's awkward behavior.
As Marinette and her friends hurried away, Oliver and Leo couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to the situation than met the eye. Curiosity piqued, they decided to follow them
As the two brothers followed behind them, one of them spoke up.
"What are you guys doing, ?" Leo asked with a smirk on his face. "Are you spying?"
"No, no, we're not," Marinette replied, blushing slightly.
"Sorry about my brother. My name is Oliver," he said, smiling.
"And my name is Leonard, but I like to go by Leo," Leo added.
Oliver looked down at the little girl. "And who is this little cutie?" he asked with a smile.
The little girl giggled. "I'm Manon."
"Well then, my name is Alya. And this is my friend Marinette ," Alya said.
So anyway, what are you girls doing here anyway?" Leo asked.
"Marinette's babysitting her, and I thought I would help out," Alya whispered. "Between you guys and me, Marinette likes Adrien, that's why we're here."
"Is that why whenever he talks to her she goes, 'uh, eh, blech'?" Oliver asked, mimicking Marinette's actions, causing Alya to giggle.
Leo burst out laughing. "You nailed it," Alya said, smiling.
As they watched the photo shoot, Marinette's mouth would drop in awe at the sight of Adrien.
Manon, bored of watching, looked around to see a man giving away balloons with Mireille's face on them.
"Marinette! I want a balloon with Mireille on it. Marinette? Marinette!" Manon said, snapping her out of her trance and angering the photographer.
"Silencio!" he said in anger.
"Come on, let's go," Manon said, pulling her.
"Hey, I'll take you to get that balloon," Alya offered, but Manon clung to Marinette's leg.
"No, I want Marinette," she said.
"I'll do it. I am her babysitter," Marinette said, walking away, leaving Alya alone with Leo and Oliver.
As Marinette walked away with Manon, Alya turned to Leo and Oliver with a smile. "So, where are you guys from? You don't seem like you're from around here."
Oliver glanced at Leo, unsure how much to reveal. "Uh, we're just travelers passing through," he said vaguely.
Leo nodded in agreement. "Yeah, we're exploring Paris for a bit," he added.
Alya raised an eyebrow, sensing there was more to their story. "Well, if you need any tips or recommendations, just let me know. I know this city like the back of my hand," she said cheerfully.
"Thanks, Alya. We'll keep that in mind," Leo replied, returning her smile.
Meanwhile, Marinette returned with the balloon for Manon, who squealed with delight. "Thank you, Marinette!" she exclaimed, hugging her tightly.
Marinette chuckled, patting Manon's head affectionately. "You're welcome, sweetie. Now, let's go find a good spot to watch the rest of the photo shoot," she said, leading Manon away.
As Leo, Oliver, and Alya watched them go, Oliver turned to Alya with a curious expression. "So, Alya, do you know Adrien well?" he asked.
Alya grinned mischievously. "Oh, let's just say I know a thing or two about him," she replied, her eyes twinkling with amusement.
Leo nudged Oliver playfully. "Looks like we've got our own insider now," he whispered with a smirk.
Oliver chuckled, feeling a sense of excitement about the adventures that awaited them in Paris.
Alya, Leo, and Oliver looked over to see Manon pulling Marinette towards the Merry Go Round.
"Aw, she's taken her on a ride. Marinette's pretty good with kids," Oliver said.
"Yeah, she is, though I think that one has Marinette in the palm of her hands," Alya said.
"I remember when you were like that, Leo," Oliver teased.
Leo blushed with embarrassment. "No, it wasn't," he insisted.
Oliver smirked. "I remember when you were little. When we were at the carnival, you kept asking me over and over again for a stuffed teddy bear."
"Did you get it?" Alya asked.
Oliver nodded. "Yeah, I did, and he couldn't stop sleeping with it until he turned 13. But he still has it underneath his bed,,
Leo's face turned even redder as he yelled, "Shut up, Ollie!"
This made Alya burst out laughing.
Meanwhile, at the photo shoot, Adrien was starting to get tired and lose enthusiasm.
"No, no. The boy has eaten too much spaghetti. We need more energy… more romance. We need a girl," the photographer declared, looking around for an extra.
"Me?" Alya said, surprised.
"Si, to pose with Mr. Adrien," the photographer said with a big smile.
"No way, you don't want me. I... I think I'm having an allergic reaction," Alya said, hinting to the brothers to help her out.
"Uh, yeah. In fact, we know the perfect person to help out. Be right back," Oliver said, pretending to guide Alya away before she ran to the Merry Go Round, with Leo following behind.
"They need an extra to pose with Adrien," Alya said to Marinette.
"What? Really?" Marinette said happily.
"Is that boy your boyfriend?" Manon asked.
"What? No, I mean yes... No," Marinette said, flustered.
"Go on, what are you waiting for?" Alya urged, as she scooted Marinette out of the way and sat on the Unicorn from the Merry Go Round with Manon.
"I got this; you deal with Prince Charming. I'll handle Miss Unicorn," Alya said.
"No! Marinette is my babysitter," Manon protested.
Alya cleared her throat. "Unicorn Unite! To Reespa, where we can save all the sick little village kids!" she announced, like they were in a Fairy Tale land, causing Manon to cheer.
As the ride started, Manon looked to Alya. "Excuse me, miss."
"Yes?" Alya asked.
"When you were talking about Prince Charmings, were those guys yours?" Manon asked, pointing to Leo and Oliver, who were waving at them.
"What? N-No, I mean, that's not something a little girl should ask," Alya said, blushing bright red.
As Marinette ran to the photo shoot, she stopped when she heard the sound of screaming. Looking up, she saw a girl with purple and white hair, a purple outfit, white gloves, and a black parasol. With one swing of her parasol, a gust of wind blew everyone away, covering the entire Merry Go Round in ice and trapping Alya and Manon inside.
In the chaos, Marinette ran, jumping over a bench. "Time to transform! Tikki, Spots On!" she said, transforming into Ladybug.
Oliver and Leo, seeing Stormy Weather blasting lightning bolts from her parasol, ran for cover, ducking behind a popcorn machine.
"So much for a day in the park," Oliver remarked.
"Well, at least something interesting is happening," Leo said.
"You're just mad because I started teasing you in front of Alya," Oliver teased.
"I'm not mad," Leo insisted.
"Yes, you are," Oliver persisted.
"No, I'm not," Leo argued.
"Yes, you are," Oliver countered.
It was about to go back and forth until Shade and Cloud flew out of their pockets.
"Will you both stop fighting? We have to save Paris here," Shade and Cloud said simultaneously.
"Yeah, yeah, sorry," Oliver said.
"My bad," Leo admitted.
"Cloud, fangs out!" Oliver commanded, as his necklace started to glow, transforming him into Silver Wolf.
"All right, shade , nightfall!" Leo said, as his bangle started to glow, transforming him into Shadow Knight.
Adrien, spotting her, rushes to his backpack to retrieve his Kwami. "Plagg? Plagg!" he calls out, searching for the missing Kwami.
"I'm not here, I'm sleeping," a voice responds.
Adrien holds up a piece of Camembert, and a small black Kwami shaped like a cat emerges. "For your information, I can smell Camembert even when I sleep," Plagg says.
"No time for cheese. Plagg, Claws out!" Adrien commands, as Plagg enters his ring, transforming him into Cat Noir.
Silver Wolf and Shadow Knight run towards the ice with their weapons ready. They approach it to see Ladybug talking to Alya and Manon.
"And I thought I had a cold shoulder," Shadow Knight remarks as he takes out his shield.
"Look, it's a doggy and a dragon!" Manon exclaims, pointing to Silver Wolf and Shadow Knight.
Ladybug turns to see them running and smiles. "Silver Wolf, Shadow Knight, do you think you guys can get them out?" she asks.
"Leave it to us!" Silver Wolf charges at the ice with his sword and strikes, but the ice still stands. "Wow, that's some strong ice," he observes.
"No kidding, and I'm hitting it with my shield as hard as I can," Shadow Knight adds.
"Looks like Hawk Moth released another Akuma, and the only way to get rid of the ice is to capture it," Ladybug said.
"How many bad guys do you guys even have in the city?" Shadow Knight wondered aloud.
"Well, it's no mystery who that is. Let's move," Silver Wolf said as they left the park.
"Just outside the entrance, Stormy Weather was scaring everyone away with her lightning," Cat Noir observed from atop the nearby fence. "Hey, Ice Queen! Why don't you pick on someone your own temperature?"
"My name is not Ice Queen, it's Stormy Weather!" she retorted angrily.
"Listen, I'm more generous than usual today. So cool down, and we'll call it quits. K?" Cat Noir proposed.
Her response was a powerful gust of wind that sent Cat Noir flying into the city, smashing into some cars like a game of pinball.
"I thought cats always landed on their feet," Ladybug remarked, helping him up as Silver Wolf and Shadow Knight landed next to him.
"Why, thanks, M'Lady, but I had it covered," Cat Noir said, attempting to kiss her hand, but Ladybug stopped him.
"No time for your childish charm, Cat Noir, but you're welcome," Ladybug replied.
"Can you save the lovey-dovey stuff for later?" Silver Wolf chuckled.
"Yeah, we know you both love each other," Shadow Knight added with a smirk.
Just then, Stormy Weather dropped down in front of them.
"We should be expecting lightning storms, like right now!" Stormy Weather declared, holding her parasol up as lightning shot out from the top.
"Incoming!" Silver Wolf yelled as he jumped out of the way, grabbing Shadow Knight by the tail, while Ladybug tackled Cat Noir out of harm's way.
You just won yourself a cat fight!" Cat Noir charges towards Stormy Weather.
"Wait!" Shadow Knight exclaimed.
But it was too late. Cat Noir charged towards Stormy Weather.
"Black Ice!" Stormy Weather commanded, turning the ground to ice. Cat Noir slipped, and she blew a powerful gust of wind, sending him flying back along with a few cars.
Silver Wolf slammed his sword into the ground and hung onto it for dear life to avoid being blown away. Ladybug used her Yo-yo to loop around and grabbed Cat Noir as he was flying backward.
Shadow Knight used his shadow weapon to loop around a stoplight, stabilizing himself against the wind.
Stormy Weather makes her way through the streets of Paris, floating right past the superheroes. When she sees a TV screen with Mireille on it, she blasts a giant hole through it.
The four of them recover from the wind and turn to face her.
"A little Cat Noir will knock the wind out of her sails," Cat Noir said, preparing to charge when Ladybug grabs his tail.
"Whoa, Kitty kitty, think before you leap," Ladybug said.
"Yeah, you got knocked around once; we don't need that to happen again," Shadow Knight said.
"I assume you have a plan?" Silver Wolf said.
"Just follow my lead, boys," she said before running up the side of the buildings. Seeing her plan, Cat Noir ran up the other side while Shadow Knight and Silver Wolf ran straight for Stormy Weather.
Hearing them, Stormy Weather turns to see the four of them attacking. "You again!" She blows her parasol, creating a gust of wind knocking the four of them backwards along with multiple cars.
The four of them struggle as they avoid the falling cars. Just when they think they're safe, their eyes widen to see Stormy Weather launch a bus at them.
"Oh no you don't!" Silver Wolf jumps into the air and slices the bus in half with his sword before it hits them.
"Whoo, quick thinking back there," Ladybug said.
"Thanks, though man, compared to this, girl has some anger issues if she chucks an entire bus at us," Silver Wolf said.
"She needs a therapist," Shadow Knight said.
"Or maybe she didn't pass her driving test," Cat Noir said as they made their way through the streets looking for her when a TV screen turned on revealing Stormy Weather.
"Hello, viewers!" She said, startling them. "Here's the latest forecast for this first day of summer. Looks like Mother Nature had a change in plans. Summer vacation is officially over!" She declared.
"Already, but I look so good in a swimsuit," Cat Noir said, causing Ladybug, Silver Wolf, and Shadow Knight to stare at him while Cat Noir just gives them a grin.
"I think the cat suit does, thanks. At least we know where to find her," Ladybug said..
As Stormy Weather continued her broadcast, the three heroes entered the TV tower to find a life-size cutout of Aurore by the screen of Stormy Weather.
"Hey, she looks familiar," Cat Noir said.
"Of course, she lost the weather girl contest today, and all that anger must've turned her into an Akuma," Silver Wolf said.
"She really got this upset for losing?" Shadow Knight said.
"The Akuma must be in her parasol," Ladybug said.
"In Stormy Weather's world, it's Winter Wonderland forever!" Stormy Weathers voice echoed as they kicked down the door, only to find no one there.
"Where is she?" Silver Wolf asked, looking around.
"It's a recording," Ladybug said, eyeing the TV in the middle of the room.
Suddenly, they heard laughter and spotted the real Stormy Weather behind them. She fired a lightning bolt at the lights, shutting off all the power.
Silver Wolf's eyes glowed golden as he and Cat Noir saw Stormy Weather making a getaway.
"Cat Noir, she's getting away!" Silver Wolf exclaimed, while Ladybug tripped over the light.
"Is that a damsel in distress?" Cat Noir asked, helping her up.
"Not all of us have night vision," Ladybug retorted, as Cat Noir grabbed her hand, pulling her so the four of them could chase after Stormy Weather.
They chased her, only for her to lock the doors.
"Let's make a quick exit," Shadow Knight said, yelling "shadowgate" as his bangles started to glow, and a portal opened up in the palm of his hand.
The four of them went through it, and the portal opened up on the rooftop where Stormy Weather was waiting for them.
"You airheads fell right into my trap!" Stormy Weather said as a tornado formed around the roof of the building, trapping them inside. "There's no way out! Party's over, fools."
"We're..." Ladybug looked to see Cat Noir was still holding her hand.
"Not the time, dude," Silver Wolf sighed.
"Yeah, dude, not cool," Shadow Knight added.
"We're just getting started, Stormy! Lucky Charm!" Ladybug threw her yoyo into the air to create the lucky charm, and from it, a bath towel appeared.
"A bath towel? What am I supposed to do with this?" Ladybug asked.
"Great, we're about to be obliterated, but at least we'll be dry," Cat Noir said.
"Yeah, at least," Shadow Knight said.
"Hail!" Stormy Weather yelled as a flurry of hail fell towards them.
"Moon Call!" Silver Wolf said before releasing a sonic howl, keeping the hail away from them.
"So, what's the plan? Wolfy can only howl for so long?" Cat Noir asked as Ladybug surveyed the area.
"I'll buy you some time; you guys figure it out," Shadow Knight said as he launched himself at Stormy Weather with his shield. She blocked it with her parasol.
"See that sign over there? Check it out. Silver Wolf, ready to intercept," Ladybug said, just as the howling stopped.
"Right," Silver Wolf said, ready for the plan.
Stormy Weather whacked Shadow Knight across the building, but he used his shadow whip to wrap around one of the flagpoles and swing himself back.
"Cat Noir, now!" Shadow Knight yelled.
"On it!" Cat Noir yelled, using Cataclysm. "Hey, Coldilocks! Is that all you got?" Cat Noir charged forward, dodging lightning raining down on him. When he reached the giant sign, he ran his hand along it, turning the support beams to rust.
The sign fell towards Stormy Weather. When she saw it, she fired a lightning bolt through it, creating a hole for her to fly through, unaware of Ladybug's yoyo wrapping around her leg.
The sign fell, knocking over a pipe, revealing a wind fan. Running towards it, Ladybug used the bath towel like a parachute, and the wind lifted her into the air while pulling Stormy Weather down. As she fell, Silver Wolf snatched the parasol from her hands.
"Thank you!" Silver Wolf said before throwing it to Ladybug.
"Get out of there, you nasty bug," Ladybug snapped the parasol in half, causing the Akuma to fly out. "No more evil-doing for you, little Akuma. Time to de-evilize!" Ladybug caught the Akuma in her yoyo, turning it into a butterfly. "Bye bye, little butterfly. Miraculous Ladybug!" She threw the bath towel into the air as all the damage to Paris reverted to normal, even though the weather returned to sunny.
As Aurore returned to normal, she had no idea what happened. "How did I get here?" She asked, looking around.
"Pound it," the four heroes said, fist bumping.
"Someday your Miraculous will all be mine. I don't care how many enemies I have to throw at you to win, but I will be victorious!" Hawk Moth vowed in anger.
Back at the park, Leo and Oliver returned to see Alya and Manon free from the ice.
"Well, at least they're safe," Oliver smiled.
"Yeah, it's been an interesting day," Leo said.
"You guys are getting better, Leo, Oliver. You two saved the day and fought well," Cloud said, popping out of Oliver's jacket.
"Yeah, I can agree on that," Shade added.
"Thanks, guys, I really appreciate it. Well, we really appreciate it," Leo said.
"Yeah, thanks, Cloud. And between us, guys, I think Ladybug and Cat Noir make a pretty good team. Though, man, Cat Noir really needs to take the flirting down a notch," Oliver said.
"Thank God I was only one," Leo said.
As Cloud and Shade returned to their pockets, the brothers saw Marinette, Alya, and Manon walking over.
"Oliver, Leo, thank goodness you guys are okay," Marinette said.
"Yeah, lucky we managed to get away before that ice queen froze us," Oliver said.
"Yeah, I wasn't in the mood to see Paris on ice," Leo said.
"Lucky you guys. I ended up getting trapped in that Merry Go Round," Alya said.
Leo looked over to see Adrien's photo shoot still going on.
"Wow, even after all that, they decided to come back here," Leo said, impressed.
"Let's go," Oliver said.
"Okay, okay, Ollie. See you later, girls," Leo said.
As the two brothers walked off, Marinette turned to Alya.
"Ready for your big chance?" Alya asked, and Marinette nodded.
"Manon, you stay here with Alya ," Marinette said, running over to the photographer. "I'm here," she said.
"Wait! Who is that angel?" the photographer asked, pointing at Manon.
In the end, Manon became Adrien's partner in the photo shoot, and Marinette was bummed out that she missed her chance with Adrien.
"Hey, don't worry, Marinette, maybe next time," Alya said, patting her shoulder reassuringly.
Later that day at Master Fu's massage parlor, he sat down with pots of tea for the boys.
"So, how was your day at the park?" he asked.
"Really interesting," Oliver said.
"That was amazing. These bad guys are kind of tough, I can admit," Leo said.
Master Fu smirked at them and said, "Well, that's good because you two are going to be going to school at Françoise Dupont High School."
"Wait, what? Really?" Leo said.
"No matter what universe we are in, we still gotta go to school," Oliver said.
"Yes, you two are going to be there. Your cover story is that you two are foreign exchange students from America. Start tomorrow," he said.
Oliver and Leo both groaned as Master Fu walked away with a smirk on his face.
