Hey YGO fans! How's life?

Anyway, from here on out, the story will start changing. It's going to be completely different than the original, so I hope you all like it.

CaptainSammyAngel, again, I love reading your reviews. Love your input on what I typed.

Now onward to the update!

-Sapporo-

Ronald stepped back before falling onto his butt.

"H-How could I lose to this newbie?!"

Yami narrowed his eyes at him, "Your deck. You only have strong monsters, but no supportive magic cards and no decent number of trap cards to protect your monsters. That's why you lost."

Ronald gritted his teeth.

"What an outcome! Ladies and gentlemen, it seems that the challenger was able to beat our new champion with ease and within five turns no less! I sense greatness from this lad, what do you say? Let's give him a round of applause."

The crowd cheered as Jaden ran over to Yami with a huge smile on his face.

"That was awesome, brother! You showed him a thing or two!"

Yami smiled before taking out Sonia's deck and was about to hand over the duel disk when the announcer shook his head.

"Keep it. Take it as for your win. And thanks for an amazing duel."

Yami nodded, "Come on Jay, let's go."

"Ah, wait! What's your name lad?"

The teen turned his head to him, "Yami… Thompson."

"Give another round for our newest champion – Yami Thompson!"

The crowd cheered happily, knowing that the teen was able to beat that arrogant child.

Yami and Jaden walked over to where Sonia was waiting for them. She smiled, "I can't believe you beat him with my deck. I must thank my brother since he helped me built it."

Yami laughed, "Well, that shows that Raphael is still a top duelist."

"How's your legs?" Sonia asked.

"Alright, but I'll drop dead asleep when we get back to the apartment," replied Yami before looking guilty. "Sorry for not asking permission to use your family's surname."

Sonia smiled, "It's fine. I think it was wise for you to use it… for the time being. Until my brother and his team find your family. You can use it as well, Jaden."

Jaden grinned, "Thanks… so, can I call you auntie too?"

Sonia laughed, "Oh, I would love that very much. Now, come, I have the car parked not too far from here. My brother should be there waiting for us."

As the three were heading to the parking lot, Seto just made it down to the crowd and started looking for that mysterious teen.

That's when the announcer spotted Seto.

"Ah, Mr. Kaiba. Wasn't that an amazing duel? For a beginner duelist, that young lad was excellent, don't you agree?"

"Yes, he was. Say, what was his name again?" Seto asked.

"Ah, Yami Thompson. I didn't think that our head chief of police has a son, maybe he's a nephew or something. Well, see you on the next tournament, Mr. Kaiba."

'Yami… that was my cousin's middle name. It can't be a coincidence,' thought Seto. 'Mm, head chief of police…'

Meanwhile, at Raphael's apartment, the moment Yami lay down on the couch, he fell asleep. While Sonia was showing her cards to Jaden, Raphael went to the police station.

He had just got into his office when an officer told him that someone wanted to meet him. The blonde officer sat down as the door opened and came in was a teen with brown hair and blue eyes, just like…

"What can I do for you?" Raphael asked.

Seto narrowed his eyes, "That teen that duel against that novice duelist, was his name Yami?"

Raphael frowned, "If it is, why do you ask? Who are you?"

"Seto Kaiba, president of KaibaCorp. Now, answer my question."

'Seto… just like,' Raphael took out the card necklace from his pocket, "It is, then you must be the boy from the picture in this necklace."

Seto widened his eyes upon seeing his cousin's card necklace that he gave him on his sixth birthday. "That – how did you get that?!" he demanded.

"We have much to discuss, Mr. Kaiba," said Raphael.

-Kaiba Mansion-

Yugi stared at the screen for the entire duel, watching his brother duel against Ron. His brother dueled like a pro, just like Seto.

He beat Ron in five turns.

"That was – awesome! Atem showed that prick a thing or two," said Joey.

"I… I can't believe that's… Atem," murmured Mokuba.

"But why is he using his middle name, not his first name?" Tristan wondered, crossing his arms. "And what about that surname? Thompson?"

"That is strange," said Tea.

"And who's the kid? Why did he call Atem his brother?" Joey wondered.

"We wouldn't know until Seto comes back," said Yugi.

Mokuba and the gang nodded.

-Police Station Sapporo-

"Amnesia?" Seto murmured. "Is there any way for him to get his memories back?"

"Most amnesias will remember through time, but for Yami's case, it's been nearly ten years, and so far, he hasn't remembered anything," replied Raphael.

"Is it possible he can't remember cause he's not somewhere familiar?" Seto asked.

"Mm, that could be," said Raphael. "That would mean Yami needs to return to Domino City."

Seto widened his eyes, "Are you allowing…"

"Hold on, Mr. Kaiba. He's still recovering from the bullet wounds. Not to mention, he's not going to abandon Jaden," explained Raphael.

Seto lifted his left eyebrow, "Recovering? He looked fine when he was dueling."

"He's been going to physical therapy," said Raphael. "In a week or so, he should be fine. Right now, he just crashed on the couch when we got to my apartment."

Seto smirked as he'll do the same thing if he works late. He then frowned, "Who's Jaden?"

"A young lad that your cousin took under his wing after the child was kidnapped a year ago," replied Raphael. "Jaden looks up to Yami as a brother figure."

"I see," murmured Seto. "And no other family members can take him in?"

Raphael shook his head, "No, not even distant relatives."

'An orphan,' thought Seto. "No problem, he's welcome into our family."

Raphael nodded, "Who will be adopting Jaden?"

"Our grandfather, Solomon Muto," replied Seto.

"Bring him here so we can do the adoption paperwork," said Raphael.

"I'll bring my family in three days," said Seto.

"Very well until then Mr. Kaiba," said Raphael. 'I just hope that the tournament didn't draw attention to Hirutani or any of his men.'

-Kaiba Mansion, next day-

"What?! Yami is really coming back?" Yugi said.

Solomon nodded, "Not only that, but I also need to sign some adoption paperwork for this young child that your brother looked after when he lost his parents."

"Oh, you mean that brunette kid?" Joey asked.

"That's right, here let me show you," Solomon took out his phone and showed a picture of Yami and Jaden looking at some duel monster cards.

"So, that means you're adopting him?" Mokuba said as Solomon nodded. "Alright! I'm not the youngest in the family anymore!"

"So, what else do you know about the kid?" Tristan asked.

"Not much. Just his name is Jaden and he's six years old," answered Solomon.

"Well, he looks adorable," said Tea.

"So, when are you going?" Yugi asked.

"Tonight, but not just me, all of you as well," answered Solomon.

"What?!"

Yugi widened his eyes, "Then, that means…"

"You get to see your brother again, Yug!" Joey said.

"But Atem doesn't remember," stated Tristan.

"In Seto's email, returning back to Domino City, may help Atem remember," said Solomon. "It will take time, but Atem will regain his memories or at least some of it."

"All it matters is that Yami is coming home," said Yugi.

Joey and Tristan nodded while Tea smiled.

"So, I suggest that all of you start packing," said Solomon.

Joey and Tristan panicked before leaving the mansion while Tea left calmly and Mokuba went to his room with excitement.

Yugi went to his room, slowly as he couldn't believe that his brother would be coming back. 'This… this feels like… a dream,' he pinched himself, "Ow! Nope, not a dream…"

The small teen started to pack before remembering the photo album that he and his brother made when they were kids. He looked through his bookshelf before spotting the blue book that contained all the memories he had with his brother.

'I'll help you Yami… on regaining your memories,' thought Yugi as he placed the photo album in his suitcase.

-Sapporo, Raphael's apartment-

Yami widened his eyes, "What?! My – My cousin?!"

Raphael nodded, "I met Mr. Kaiba after I dropped you, Jaden and Sonia yesterday. Mr. Kaiba and your grandfather will be here to take you back home."

'Back… home,' thought Yami.

"Oh, so Yami is leaving then," said Jaden, sadly.

Yami looked down at the young brunette before placing his hand on top of Jaden's head.

"You know I wouldn't abandon you."

Jaden started to tear up before wiping his eyes with his sleeve. He then gave a smile, "Sorry. I know you wouldn't, but we don't know if your family…"

Raphael chuckled, "Actually, Senior Muto is adopting you Jaden."

The young brunette grinned, "R-Really?"

Raphael nodded.

Jaden let out a happy shout.

"Wait, don't I have a physical therapy on Monday?" Yami asked.

"You do, and will be your last, well, here that is. At Domino Hospital, you'll continue," replied Raphael.

"What about Hirutani?" Yami asked.

"Don't worry. With some of his men captured, we'll have them spill the whereabouts of Hirutani's hideouts," said Raphael.

"Or I could just tell you," Yami said. "Now that I don't have to worry about him, I can tell you all his secrets."

Raphael nodded, "We'll appreciate it. Now, I heard from my sister that she gave you her deck, correct?"

"That's right. She told me that she didn't have time to duel anymore," Yami took out the deck, "She wanted her deck to go to someone who can take good care of them."

"Well then, how about a duel against me?" Raphael asked.

Yami smirked, "You're a better opponent than Ron. He had a lousy deck. I bet Jaden could have beat him."

Raphael laughed, "That boy is spoiled rotten. He has no skills, just talk. Last tournament, he was placed tenth and boy, he let out a major temper tantrum."

"Yea, I could see that happen," murmured Yami before the two started their duel.

-Hirutani's hideout-

"Sir, the boy is still alive. What do we do?"

Hirutani was smoking a cigarette, "Have everyone roam around the city, and when you see him, capture him, understood?"

"Yes, sir!"

Once he left, Chiyo came out from the shadows, smirking.

"So, it's time to let out that plan?"

Hirutani smirked, "Yes… soon KaibaCorp will be under new management."

-Break Line-

So, what do you guys think?

Yea, I didn't add the duel cause I was… mm a bit lazy hehe – don't blame me! I'm already working on a new YGO fanfic and that's taking all my knowledge of duel monsters… in my best ability.

All I can say of this new fanfic is… there are so many twists in it.

Well, until then my fellow YGO fans. Stay safe! Cario!
