Family Feud: Can Harmony Prevail in the Chaos?

Ch IV: Crisis Point

Cassidy and Lynn Jr. sat 7 chairs apart from each other, and whenever they locked eyes with each other, they just stare for a bit and then look away. Junior couldn't imagine how shitty her week had been, and it was only Monday. Guess they shouldn't have let themselves go berserk after what Lincoln told them the previous day.

Rita came into the school and she saw her daughter. "Junior, come on, it's time to go home…"

Cassidy's mother, Jennifer, called out. "Cassidy!" The suit she wore indicated that she came from her job as receptionist at a famous hotel. "You better have a good reason for getting suspended!"

As Lynn Jr. looked at Cassidy, she shakily raised a middle finger while she was giving her the 1000-yard stare. Creeped out a bit, the athlete focused her gaze on the car.

As Rita started up the van, she looked at the mirror. Judging by Lynn Jr.'s solemn look, it was clear that she had been regretting it for a while now. Yes, the athlete may have an annoying attitude and framed Lincoln for his bad luck, but deep inside, she felt like a total bitch of an asshole who didn't care to see the effects of her actions.

Back in the cafeteria…

"What happened here?" Michael squinted his eyes.

"Cassidy and Lynn Jr. got into a fight last time." Louise answered.

"Her…again?" Stephanie asked, a frown forming on her face. "Did she get injured?"

"Why? What's the matter?" Cassidy's older sister asked.

"DIdn't you know what Roberto told us yesterday?" Robert asked. "They dealt Lincoln serious injuries…he even got surgery…"

"What happened here?" Lola asked.

"Oh, look who it is…" He said, turning to meet the not so princess. "The little brat who would blackmail others just to get what she wants…"

"What's the matter?"

"Oh…" Robert said as he yelled in front of Lola's face. "YOU WANNA KNOW WHAT'S THE MATTER, HUH? YOUR TWO ELDEST SISTERS FOR FOOLS STARTED THIS BULLSHIT BY FIGHTING OVER A DRESS THEY BOTH BOUGHT FROM THE MALL, THEN YOU AND THE OTHERS FOLLOWED SUIT, ALL BECAUSE YOU COULDN'T KEEP A LID ON YOUR ANGER!"

"Woah, Rob, calm–" Louise said, when he yelled at her.

"Stay out of this, Louise!" Robert yelled, as Louise flinched at the sound of his voice. "Now…where were we? The time you and your dumbass sisters…made Lincoln sit in the hospital for a decent amount of time. Now, remember the luck incident, huh?"

"How did you…know about that?" Lola said, shocked.

At the hospital…

Rita and Lynn Jr. have arrived, to see Lincoln. Meanwhile, the 11-year-old Loud was having a nightmare. He woke up in what seemed like the living room of his house, he stood up and looked around. It was quite dark; and good thing, he brought his flashlight with him.

"Lincoln?" A voice called out to him in the abyss. "Where are you?"

"Who's there?!" The boy called out, but no response.

He heard his mom's vase fall to the floor. Lincoln shined his flashlight to the source of the sound, and saw said vase fall to the floor.

The lights on the second floor flickered upstairs, he quickly ran and saw nothing. "Huh…weird, just fixed the circuits a day ago…" Lincoln went downstairs to the basement, and he checked the circuit breakers for anything suspicious. Lincoln heard knocking from the door, he checked the time and it was only 12:00 AM. Weird, right? Surely, anyone will never come to the Loud residence for a late-night visit.

He turned his focus back to the circuit breakers, knocking sounded from the door again. He went to check who was there, and when he opened the door, he saw no one. Lincoln closed the door, and banging came from the door, he turned his gaze and banging kept sounding from the door. Later, it was removed from its hinges as he saw an evil version of Lisa with a bunch of cyanide grenades.

"L-Lisa?" Lincoln said, backing away from her. "What is that in your hands?"

"Nothing…" Lisa said, as she threw the grenade at Lincoln. He dodged it, as it exploded, he fell to the ground while the cyanide corroded the table and the floor under it. He saw an incoming plate, and got out of harm's way. His siblings crowded in front of him, with weapons ranging from pistols to chainsaws and rocket launchers.

He defended himself as they activated their weapons one by one, Lincoln's eyes flew open as he breathed in and out. Looking around, he saw himself in a hospital bed, his hands connecting to various wires. He calmed down and lay bed-ridden for a decent amount of time.

Lincoln sighed, as he turned to see the picture of him and his family. He formed a small smile on his face, seeing his parents and sisters sandwich him into their grip while smiling at the camera. He put down the picture and looked at the clock, it was 4:00 already? Questioning himself, he looked at the sky. Indeed, time passes by.

A knock was heard from his door, he turned and said. "Come in…"

Rita opened the door to see her son awake. "Hey Mom, what's up?" Lincoln smiled at her.

Lynn Jr. showed herself behind Rita, as Lincoln grabbed a food tray and held it with two hands in front of his face. "Please…please…please, don't hurt me…"

"Lincoln…" Lynn Jr. said. "I'm not going to hurt you…"

"R-Really?" He put down his improvised protection. "You're not going to hurt me…?"

"No, no…" The athlete said.

"Sit down…" The little artist ordered. Lynn Jr. sat down near Lincoln's bed, Rita grabbed her chair and did the same. William and Lynn Sr. came in a few seconds later, and stood near Lincoln's hospital bed.

"Are you alright, little man?" William asked.

Lincoln gave a thumbs-up in response. Lynn Sr. asked him. "Are you afraid of me, your mother, and your sister?"

"No…though I'm afraid of the others…" Lincoln grimaced.

Saturday…

Michael and his siblings sat near Lincoln, Elizabeth was on her brother's lap. CC knelt on Lincoln's bed, looking him in the eyes.

"Did your sister visit yesterday?" Michael asked.

Lincoln nodded. Looking out the window, he saw 3 birds perched on the tree. One left, while the other two stayed. CC wrapped his arms around Lincoln as he slowly drifted off to sleep. The 11-year-old sighed and thought for a moment. How will he hide away from his sisters? He will stay over at the Afton family house until he gets over his fear of his relatives.

"Are you comfortable staying over at our house?" Elizabeth asked.

"Sure…" Lincoln responded. He took his family photo once again and took a glimpse of it.

With Henry and Valerie…

"Hey…are you alright?" Henry examined Rita's features.

"Does it look like I am alright to you?" Rita said, her tone laced with venom. "My poor baby boy Lincoln, was forced to sit in the hospital because of my daughters…"

"What did they do?" Valerie asked. She had blonde shoulder length hair, and diamond earrings.

"Well…" Lynn Sr. cleared his throat. "He was involved in a brutal fight with his sisters, sending him to the hospital. All I saw after that incident, was him covered in bruises, some of his teeth were missing…his leg was twisted from its normal bend, and other stuff…"

"Well…is he OK now?" Henry asked.

"Yeah, he is in good hands…" The patriarch answered.
