Family Feud: Can Harmony Prevail in the Chaos?

Ch VII: The Turn of Events

Opening A/N: Hey, just wanted to inform that this chapter is going to be narrated in 1st person. The chapter will be explained through the POVs of Lincoln Loud, Stephanie Williams, then Henry and Valerie Emily. Peace out.

POV - Lincoln L.

I hung up the line, as soon as Dad put down the phone. I took some time to linger in my thoughts for a bit. Mr. and Mrs. Emily came into the room minutes later.

Charlotte and Sammy were the other guests that came.

Mrs. Emily sat beside me, smiling. "Hey, honey, how are you feeling?"

"I'm feeling fine, thanks…" I said. "Where's Stephanie?"

"Well, she's at the cemetery with Michael." She replied.

At the cemetery – Stephanie's POV…

"Hey Dad…" I said as I stood by Dad's tombstone with Michael. "It's me…your daughter, life hasn't been easy since you left the earth. Jamie, isn't holding up too well, and Mom has to work double shifts everyday, and…I wish I could hug you again…"

"Stephanie, I know you miss your father…" Michael said. "I do miss his puns too."

He hugged me, as I cried into his arms and poured my heart out. I missed Dad, he was the first person when I was a baby.

At the hospital – Lincoln's POV…

The skies were getting dark and cloudy, a few drops of rain fell on the roof.

"Sorry honey…" Mrs. Emily said. "It's raining today, we need to get home right now."

"Bye!" Sammy said as he waved at me.

As they left, I laid down in my hospital bed, peaceful. I slowly drifted off to sleep as the sounds of rain falling filled my ears.

I woke up in my house, again? Is this another dream? I got up on my feet and went upstairs, the halls were busy as usual. Loud music and fighting ensued as I walked into my room.

I laid down in my bed, the soft fabric made me drift off to sleep quickly.

I heard voices, saying, "You should've stayed out of it…"

"Don't…get…involved!" A voice said as the lights flickered on.

"Why!? What the hell did I do this time?!" I said, backing up in fear.

"You spilled our very secrets, dear brother unit…" Lisa said, holding up a sharp object. "Now you're going to pay…IN THE NAME OF SCIENCE!"

I held my hands up in defense. "PLEASE DON'T KILL ME, I'M TOO YOUNG TO DIE!" I cried.

"Lincoln?" I heard a familiar voice. "Lincoln?"

"H-HUH?" I said.

"You're going to pay, Lincoln…" Lola said, marching up to me.

"You should've butted out, but instead you decided to get involved!" Lynn yelled.

"LINCOLN?" The voice called out to me again.

"You went against the Sister Fight Protocol…" Lori said threateningly.

"LINCOLN, WAKE UP!"

My eyes fluttered open, as I breathed heavily in and out. Mrs. Afton was there, she was worried for me and said.

"Are you OK, honey? Did you have another bad dream?" She asked.

"I'm fine, Mrs. Afton, and I had another bad dream." I said.

"What is it about? Your sisters again?" Auntie Harlene replied, seeming irritated.

"Harlene? How did you find out?" Mrs. Afton asked.

"Well, William told me and Marcus. Henry found out on his own, I guess? Did Valerie find out?"

"I don't know." Mrs. Afton shrugged.

The Emily residence – Henry's POV…

As soon as we got into the house, I laid down on the couch, exhausted. I crossed my arms and thought for a moment. "Does Lincoln need a therapist?"

"Hey, Valerie!" I called out.

"What is it, hon?" My wife said as she sat down on the couch.

"Do we need to suggest a therapist for Lincoln and his family?" I asked her.

"Well, one of Lincoln's friends named, Clyde or something, already suggested that they should talk to Dr. Lopez." She said.

Valerie's POV

"I wonder who this 'Dr. Lopez' is, do you know that person, Henry?" I asked my husband.

"No…" Henry said, puzzled. "Who is she?"

"Charlotte?" I asked my daughter, hoping that she has some information on Dr. Lopez.

"No, don't know anything about that person." She said.

"Sammy…?" I asked my youngest child.

"Oh, I know her!" Sammy answered. "She's the psychologist that Lincoln's friend often talks to!"

"Right…" I said as I put my hand under my chin in thought. "We're going to accompany Lincoln's family when we visit her."

The next day at the hospital… - Lincoln's POV

As the sun rose through the windows, my brain began the tedious process of waking up my whole body. I stretched out my arms and welcomed forth a new day, being laid bed-ridden at my hospital bed. Later, someone came into my door.

Mr. Emily greeted me. "Good morning, old chap." He ruffled my hair. "How are you doing, my boy?" Smiled he.

"I'm fine, thanks." I said, smiling back.

"I brought your best friend, Bun-Bun!" Sammy said as he held out my stuffed rabbit. I was happy that Bun-Bun was safe, as I took it from Sammy and hugged it tight.

"That plushie meant so much to him as a present…" Mrs. Emily whispered.

"Yes, Valerie…" Mr. Emily said. "It does…" He smiled at the sight of me hugging Bun-Bun.

"Where's the rest of my family?" I asked Charlotte.

"Well, they went to visit your grand-aunt Ruth." Charlotte responded. "It was punishment for banishing you to the hospital bed, you know, her bunions, her calluses, her rotten puddings, her old cat videos…good for you…"

"Yeah…" I retched at the thought of tending to her feet.

"What's wrong?" Sammy pouted. "Don't you like visiting your relatives?"

"I do, except for Aunt Ruth…" I said to the youngest of Mr. and Mrs. Emily's children. "She makes us tend to her feet, watch her boring cat videos, and makes us eat expired pudding."

"Oh dear!" Aunt Valerie said, her voice a mix of shock and worry. "She makes you eat expired pudding?!"

"Yes…" I said. "I got sick with food poisoning for some days, and Mom and Dad had to buy medicines for me…"

"Food poisoning? Oh boy, that sounds serious!" Mrs. Afton said as she came in.

"You work here, Olivia?" Uncle Henry asked, intrigued.

"I'm a doctor, Maria takes over for me during the night shift." She said.

"Right…" He replied, turning away.

"So…" Mr. Emily cleared his throat. "How are things going for you here in the hospital?"

"Boring…" I said.

"By the way, I know your sister, Luan, plans pranks on April Fools." Mrs. Emily said, her voice laced with venom.

"H-Huh?!" I jumped back, shocked. "How?! How did you find out?"

"Simple and easy, William gave us some 'extras'…" Aunt Valerie replied. "What pranks does she set up? Hm?" She furrowed her brows.

"Well, she goes with the safe, and easy pranks, like the water bucket prank, or the pie-to-the-face…" I said, twiddling my fingers. "Then, on April Fools, every year, she goes with the type of pranks that involve danger and sometimes, maiming, like when Luna fell and sank in jelly, or the upside-down furniture prank…"

"What the fuck?!" Uncle Henry suddenly jumped up from his seat. "Upside-down furniture?! People sinking into jelly?! Launching a missile on other countries just for fun?!"

"Yes, now we're talking." I did a finger-gun at Mr. Emily. "Lola got barreled with skunks, Leni got launched onto a motel sign with a neon depiction of Luan laughing, she set up multiple pranks and forced me out of my room since she had to invite Ronalda over, my brows were missing, part of my hair was shaved off, a mouse trap got on my eye, sand were in my shoes, and finally, my foot got stuck in a bucket."

"Oh dear…" Charlotte said, covering her mouth. "Your sister's a madman!"

"How did you get part of your hair shaved off?" Sammy asked.

"That's a long story, Sammy…" I said.

To be continued in Ch VIII…

A/N: This is my first time doing the first person perspective, upon mentioning 'April Fools Rules' in this chapter, now that Henry has some new info from Lincoln, he's going to confront the girls in their next meeting.
