Welcome back to Elemental Crisis Book II. Last time, we managed to catch up with the heroes, where Spyro and Flash are still working on the latter's Fire control, with Spyro being impressed at his progress. As they got started, Cynder came down to notify them they've got a lead on one of the missing Elements. After some cuteness with Spyro and Cynder, the trio heads up to the bridge. So, what awaits with the rest of the team? Read on to discover...

(Our scene resumes back on the Waverider's Bridge, with Flash, Spyro, and Cynder arriving from where the last scene ended, joining the rest of the League and Legends)

Flash: So, what've we got?

White Canary: If this energy signature is to be believed, one of our missing Elements.

Spyro: Do we know which one?

White Canary: That's... unclear at the moment. Not like it has an Aether-style unique signature.

Cynder: Honestly, if it were from a dragon that solely had one of the remaining seven Elements, it would have. (Thinks about it) Well, one of the four that were stolen from me would, since one of them was my natural Element.

Atom: Should we run a blood comparison then?

Cynder: Honestly, the odds aren't that good. We'd only learn it's one of four. We honestly don't know for certain which of Poison, Fear, Wind, or Shadow is the Element was born with. And since one of Spyro's Elements is already aboard the ship, it's more than likely one of mine anyways.

White Canary: So we have no idea which one we're after still.

Flash: Well, any one is better than letting Malefor and his forces find them. Where're we headed.

Batwoman: We're getting back on my home turf.

(With that, the central console displays a holographic map of an infamous yet familiar location)

Batwoman: Gotham City.

Spyro: (Looking straight into the holographic map) I already don't like the look of this place, and I haven't even been to the real spot yet!

Batwoman: You're not the first one to say that.

Superman: That would be me honestly.

Cynder: I see what Spyro's getting at. Looks like a real dark place. Something tells me I could guess which Element is hidden there. (To Batwoman) Since youv'e got home field advantage, what's our plan?

Batwoman: I'll send a message ahead to Luke and Mary, they'll have the Batcave ready for company.

(At that point, Batwoman's phone starts ringing, and she recognizes the number, much to her own surprise as she answers it)

Batwoman: Hey, Luke. We were just talking about you! Look, long story short, we've got company coming.

Batwing: Just bring them to the Batcave. Look, Ryan, we've got a situation. We need you back here as soon as possible.

Batwoman: Already on the way back to Gotham, Luke. (Realizes something is up) What's going on?

Batwing: There's been a murder in Crime Alley.

Batwoman: Geez that place seems to attract death. But, why...?

Batwing: (Cutting her off) It's Beth.

(The mere mention of the name gives Batwoman pause)

Batwoman: Did she...?

Batwing: No, she's the victim.

(Batwoman falls silent on this revelation. A tear even starts to roll down past her cowl, but after a moment, she steadies herself enough to respond)

Batwoman: Tell Renee we need all the data we can get.

Batwing: Already did.

Batwoman: Then we'll be right there. (Hangs up)

Spyro: Is something wrong?

Batwoman: Something's very wrong. (To White Canary) How fast can this tub get us to Gotham?

White Canary: We're just passing over that biker bar on the outskirts now.

Batwoman: Good. We haven't a moment to lose.

(And as Batwoman looks out the front of the Waverider's bridge, and Gotham City comes into view, our tale ends for today)

And that looks like a good place to wrap up for now. So, now Batwoman knows that Beth Kane is dead, and despite not being the original Batwoman, she's taking it hard. And I think we might be able to guess what Joker's got the supervillains of Gotham looking for, whichever of the Elements wound up there. But which one is it? And furthermore, what awaits now that Beth Kane's death is known to Gotham's new protector? Tune in next time to find out! Same time... same channel!
