Author note: I meant to put this statement in the last chapter, but if the Pokemon battle seemed lackluster, its because I'm not good at writing Pokemon battles, so if you want to send suggestion my way, I would appreciate it, but for the future, there won't be so much battles other than what I have to put down. With that said, let's get to the next chapter. Also, don't get confused with the episode/chapter confusion, that's just for my own benefit when writing the chapters. Also, back to Episode 2, Ash and Serena went through Viridian City and Viridian Forest with basically no incident, so that's why it wasn't included. With that said, welcome to Chapter 4.

Something More?: A Pokemon Story

Episode 4: Roadside Troubles

Ash, Serena and Brock are on the road to Cerulean City, taking a little break for lunch. Brock, as always, has made something that has made Ash and Serena feel like there in heaven, food wise. All the other Pokemon are also enjoying their food.

"Wow, Brock, Ash is right, this is amazing!"

"I told you that you'd like it."

"Thanks, guys. It really means a lot."

"So, Brock, being a Pokemon Doctor probably has a lot of responsibilities, right?"

"You're exactly right, Serena. You've got to take care of Pokemon who have certain conditions like burns and poisoning, and also look at Pokemon who are fine, like a general checkup that you guys would have."

"Sounds busy, but you enjoy doing it, don't you?"

"Absolutely. It's something that I've always wanted to do."

"When I first met Brock, he wanted to be a Pokemon Breeder, but after meeting several Nurse Joys…and falling in love with almost every single one…and after an incident on a ship, he decided to become a Pokemon Doctor."

"What was the incident?"

"Brock, you want to explain?"

"Sure. So basically we were heading to Sandgem Town, where Dawn's hometown is. Dawn was travelling with us during that time, and Ash just lost in the Sinnoh League to a person named Tobias who literally used all legendaries. Anyway, a few Tentacruel came on board and poisoned Ash's Pikachu and several baby Pokemon. Pikachu and most of the baby Pokemon recovered quickly, but this Pichu was not doing too well. We tried Pecha Berries, humidifiers, all the sort, but nothing worked. When it seemed hopeless, my Happiny evolved into a Chansey and solved everything. That's the short version, there's too many details to get into."

"Where is your Chansey?"

"You mean Blissey?"

"It evolved again?!"

"Yes, it did, Blissey, come over here!"

Blissey ignored Brock's command, instead focusing on its food.

"Well, I guess Blissey is more concerned with its food. Understandable."

All of a sudden, a desperate sound comes from the bushes that they are at.

"The hell was that. Brock, let's go!"

"Yeah, let's go see what that was."

Ash, Serena, and Brock return all of their Pokemon and go investigate to see what the noise was, and it turns out to be a Rattata that is badly poisoned.

"It's a Rattata. Looks like its been poisoned."

"Don't worry, Serena. I'll take care of it. Shit, I don't have any pecha berries."

"I'll go look for some berries."

"Be careful, Ash. Remember, if you see a Kakuna, run far away."

"I know. A Beedrill might've poisoned it."

"Ash, please be careful."

"I will, Serena."

"Okay. In the meantime, is there something one of our Pokemon can do?"

"My Blissey can lessen the effects of the poison, but it can't get rid of it."

"Wouldn't hurt to lessen the effects of it though."

"Good point. Blissey, come on out!"

"BLISSEY!"

"Use Soft-Boiled on Rattata."

Blissey uses Soft-Boiled on Rattata, causing it to wake up slightly.

"Rattata, it's okay. You're in good hands. Now we wait for Ash to return."

"I hope he can find some. I also hope he's doing alright."

"He'll be fine. Even if he gets in a mess, he usually comes out unscathed."

"I hope you're right."

Meanwhile with Ash.

"Alright, Pikachu, let's find some pecha berries. We need to help Rattata as much as we can."

"PIKA-PI!"

"What's up. Oh, look, pecha berries, but we can't reach them. I got an idea, Charizard, come on out and use Slash to knock down the berries."

Charizard, which does obey Ash (since Johto), uses Slash to knock down the berries.

"Thanks, Charizard."

However, some other items fall out of the tree.

"Hey, what are those."

Ash turns over one of the items, and it's a Kakuna.

"Um, Pikachu, we might want to run."

"Pika?"

The horde of Kakuna start evolving into Beedrill.

"Uh-oh. When Kakuna evolve, they turn into…"

The Kakuna finish evolving.

"Sh-BEE!"

"BEEDRILL, RUN!"

Back to Brock and Serena.

"Looks like the poison is starting to wear off naturally."

"That sure is good news, Brock. The pecha berries will help even more."

After that, they hear yelling that is getting louder and louder.

"Is that Ash, Brock?"

"I think so, but why is he screaming and running?"

They then see the Beedrill behind Ash, with Ash hauling ass with a bunch of Pecha Berries in a large bag.

"BEEDRILL, LET'S GET OUT OF HERE!"

"Come on Rattata, let's go!"

Ash, Pikachu, Serena, Brock and Rattata all manage to escape the chasing Beedrill, when they realize Rattata is scared out of its mind.

"Woah, Rattata looks afraid."

"Rattata, did a Beedrill attack you?"

"Rat, Rat!"

"Okay, well that's confirmed my theory. Brock, are you thinking Twineedle?"

"Probably. Considering the severity of the poison, it got poisoned twice."

"Speaking of that, he's the Pecha Berries that I got."

"That'll do plenty. Here you go, Rattata."

Rattata eats some of the Pecha Berries, gettitng rid of the poison, but still seems sluggish.

"Poor thing still looks weak. Blissey, use Heal Pulse."

Blissey uses Heal Pulse, restoring Rattata to full health. I know that's not how the games work, but I really don't care. Anyway, Rattata starts to run around happily, and jumps in Serena's arms.

"Wow, Brock, Rattata looks good as new."

"Rattata, I would probably stay away from those Beedrill, okay?"

"Rat, Rat!"

"Alright, see you later, Rattata!"

"Alright, should we head to Cerulean City."

"It'll still take a couple of days to get there."

"That's true. We should get some rest, and while we're on the way, stop by Mt. Moon."

"Sounds like a plan, let's get some rest."
