Desperate Measures
Chapter One
Richard Castle had been working hard to finish the last of his new novels for Nikki Heat and two other series. His Publisher Gina for Black Pawn Publishing had been on his case for the past few weeks.
His ex-wife needed to finish the novels for the writer to start his tour. However, Castle had been busy elsewhere with his detective agency and the 12th precinct. He's been trying to help out his wife Kate Beckett with a serial murder in Manhattan.
Three women had been killed just outside a bar, gym, and most of all a library. The press from all of the TV stations had been on the story for the most part.
Doctor Sydney Perlmutter has been going crazy with finishing up the last of the autopsies to have the findings for Captain Beckett, the Police Commissioner, and the Governor of New York.
Captain Beckett walked into the autopsy bay wearing a mask due to all types of germs. "Doctor Perlmutter do you have any further answers for me?" she had to asked with the sensitive nature of the case.
Perlmutter had been already frustrated as it was with his family, hospital, and now as a coroner. Looks up from the body of the woman Nancy Wong found inside the Manhattan library. "She was murdered differently by a right-handed murderer. I was able to scrape up DNA without having to send it to the lab for the results on who it might be, along with the F.B.I. Database." He tells her.
"Doctor, you do realize that there is a chance that this particular killer might of burned off his fingerprints?" she remarked with a slight hiss coming from the coroner.
Turning to remove his mask briefly. "No kidding, Captain Beckett!" while picking up an instrument to close the rib cage. While his assistant had taken the blood samples and DNA to the main lab in the city. "Besides, if this is the case, Captain. I just hope to god for the next victim?" he cried out with putting down the instrument onto the table filled with items needing cleaned.
With a shake of her head, she will say the following. "I agree with you for the most part!" she turns around to head out of the coroner's bay.
"Really! Captain Beckett. Nevertheless, I will be sure to have a full report as soon as possible. On whether or not the lab can come up with a name." he responded watching her leave completely.

Manhattan
The killer had entered into a dance hall named Roseline in business for the past 15 years. Showing the fake I.D. to the bouncer a burly man at the door. "Alright go ahead in. Just make sure to pay your bar tab?" he tells the person walking past him quickly and without saying a word.
Heading for the bar with three bartenders all young serving their customers with the night approaching. "I will have a Scotch on the Rocks, please?" the voice tells the young blonde bartender behind the counter. She smiles back at the person now sitting on the brown chair to match the counter.
After a moment of finishing up with the other customer's drinks. She will begin to put together the Scotch on the Rocks. Overhead are several TVs playing a wide variety of news broadcasts and other shows, along with sports. However, there was a news broadcast on having to be talking about the recent serial murders as the killer looked up to giggle slightly at the report.
Mumbling. The young bartender asked his patron whether this person was fine or not.
Turning to face the bartender with sort of a grin. "I am fine, miss. I just can't believe how these types of horrid monsters can do stuff like murder with the serial killer?" the killer needed to say.
"I know how you're feeling. I always hate to watch the news reports with stories like those for the most part."
Afterward, the next news report would be entertainment on the mystery writer Richard Castle to place smiles on everyone at the bar. The female bartender named Casey will say the following. "I have always been reading his Derrick Storm novels for the longest time," she remarked.
The killer will say back to Casey. "I wouldn't know his novels since I am more into Science Fiction and Westerns."
"Really! I have always liked all of the Star Trek and Star Wars movies. However, I think both of them are the best. Besides all of those Chucky and Halloween movies." Casey had to say.
Finishing up the Scotch on the Rocks. "May I have another one of these along with some food like Chicken in the basket with fries?" the killer needed to have said to the young woman.
"Sure no problem."
Meanwhile at the Loft
Richard Castle had been finishing up his research with the last of the chapters he needed to have finished for Black Pawn Publishing. There was a call coming in from a source of his even though he wasn't sure as the number wasn't familiar.
"Richard Castle's residence, who is this?" he asked trying to stay calm the best he could.
The voice was low and gruff for the most part. "I am a fan of yours Richard Castle, just letting you know that I am going to kill again. You can confirm with the 12th precinct about the three I killed."
"OMG! How could you?" he hung up the connection to call his wife Beckett at the precinct. Castle couldn't believe that a killer would be calling him.
Meanwhile, Captain Kate Beckett had finished up the last of her meetings with the staff. She had been exhausted walking into her office to relax with placing down the shade for now.
It was at this point her cell phone was ringing. She had looked down at the caller I.D. to be her husband's name. She needed to talk with him about what's been going on with the latest murders in her district.
