"You know, if you keep looking at her like that, someone is going to think you like her," Ruby teased, smiling wider when she was met with a scowl.
"Please. I don't like anyone," Regina responded.
"You like her," she shot back, indicating to Emma with her chin.
Regina looked away, reluctantly tearing her gaze from the beautiful blonde she'd been watching for much of the past hour. They were at a school assembly, everyone gathered at the gym to attend a music concert put on for the children. Emma was, of course, dancing with the students, Regina off to the side watching her. Discreetly, or so she had thought. She'd been unable to look away once she'd (pretty much immediately) spotted the long blond curls. Emma was captivating, and Regina's eyes had been following her for most of the time she'd been in here. She hadn't been discreet enough though, apparently, which normally wouldn't have mattered because nobody usually paid her any mind. Ruby wasn't just anybody, however.
"Soooo. Are you dating? You know, seeing as you like her."
"Ruby Lucas. You know how I feel about gossip."
Ruby sighed.
"It's not gossip if it's facts."
"Facts can still be gossiped about."
"So it is true."
Regina shot her a look.
"She likes you too, you know."
Regina did know, the words causing the corners of her mouth to tug upwards, but she fought against the urge to smile.
"Ah! Too late. I saw it."
"Ruby," Regina said warningly.
"No one's around us. But even if they were, they wouldn't hear us over the sound of the music anyway."
Regina didn't respond. Ruby sighed again.
"You just seem happy. It's nice to see you happy."
Regina looked over at the woman. She could hear the dejection in Ruby's voice, and it stirred something in her. She was always a sucker for Ruby's kicked-puppy voice, so she wasn't surprised to find that the first of her defenses fell.
"I am happy," she finally confirmed.
"Yeah?" Ruby asked, perking up. "Good. Cause Emma's been a lot happier too. I think she's been good for you. And for our friendship, too. She's made you nicer."
Regina mock glared at her.
"You're talking to me now," Ruby explained, unperturbed by Regina's faux-scowl. "That's an improvement."
"I've always spoken to you."
"Yeah, to get out the basics, if it was work related. But… it's different than before. You used to like me once. In a different way than you like Emma, but still. You used to like me." Since Emma had been around, Regina had been a little warmer to her, and it had felt nice. Almost like before. Not quite, but close.
Regina heard the longing in Ruby's tone, saw it reflected in her eyes. She sighed, something further caving in her.
"I've always liked you, Ruby. You've always been a little sister to me, you know that."
"I used to. But it's been different since you came back. You hated all of us, me included."
Regina wasn't sure why Ruby was choosing this very moment to have this conversation, in the middle of a children's concert in a crowded gymnasium. But then again, Ruby was Ruby. She didn't really have the best timing or the best impulse control. She was led by her emotions, and clearly her emotions were leading her to talk about this in the middle of a school concert.
Regina sighed internally. There was a conversation here that needed to be had. She turned away from the music, taking Ruby's hand and pulling her to the back of the gymnasium, tugging her into the storage room where they'd have a little more privacy.
"Where is this coming from, Ruby?"
The younger woman shrugged.
"Sorry."
"No, I'm not looking for an apology. I'm just surprised. This isn't the best time for this kind of conversation."
Ruby sighed heavily. It never was with Regina. She made a move to leave but was stopped by a firm arm on her bicep.
"I'm sorry, Ruby. I never hated you," Regina said sincerely, when their eyes met. "I was, however, hurt by everyone, including you."
"Me?"
"Yes, you. You were talking about me as well. Despite the fact that you were supposed to be my friend, you participated in the gossip," Regina said, cutting herself off from saying anything more. It hurt, deeply, that Ruby had participated in the rumours that had followed her around this town.
Ruby bit her lip.
"I did," she admitted. "I'm sorry. I didn't at first though, if that's any better. I was so excited to have you back, at first. I couldn't wait to see you. I missed you so bad while you were gone and then all of a sudden, you were back. But then when you were… mean, I didn't know how to react. You'd never been mean to me before in my life. I didn't expect it. It caught me off guard. And when I finally worked up the courage to confront you about it, to talk to you about it, you blew me off. I wanted to know why but you wouldn't talk to me. To anyone. You've always treated me well. It was hard when you suddenly didn't. Then I started helping out here and you'd tolerate me, talk to me sometimes, but it was different. You weren't- we weren't the same. I was looking for answers, but I couldn't get them from you, so I went to others."
Regina shifted her gaze from Ruby, down to her hands, before meeting Ruby's eyes again.
"I changed after… after what happened. And then I left for California and it just, it changed me. I'm not who I was before. When I got back, I wasn't the same girl who had left Maine."
"No. I know that. But I've missed you, Regina."
"I'm not who you remember, Ruby. You miss her."
"You're still her. Older now, but still her. I've seen how you are with Emma. With Henry. You don't hate them, and I see the Regina who used to love me. Or at least, who liked me once upon a time."
Regina fought the ache in her heart. Ruby looked so young, standing before her just then. All she could see was the little girl she had once loved so much. She was grown now, but looking into her eyes, all Regina could see was the little girl she'd once considered a little sister. She wanted so badly to reach out and pull her into a hug, but they were different now. Things were different.
"I don't hate you either, Ruby," Regina said honestly. "I never did. I don't like that you've gossiped about me, but I didn't hate you. We were friends once. I trusted you. I don't like what you did; I hated it in fact. I hated what you did, I hated your actions, but I never hated you."
Ruby nodded, looking at the floor.
"I was really confused and I was trying to understand. I did talk about you, and I listened when others talked. I wanted to know. I wanted answers."
"Then you should have talked to me."
"I tried! You wouldn't talk though," Ruby argued, though it wasn't aggressive. She was just frustrated.
"I know. I was hurting. I had just moved across the country, back to a town where everyone was still looking at me like a- like a leper. My father was ill. I was a new mother. I had just left a long-term relationship. It was a very difficult time and my defenses were high. I wish you would have been patient with me. I needed time."
Ruby paused. She couldn't argue that. She'd always been impatient. Always. And she hadn't given Regina any time at all.
"I didn't know. But you're right. I should have been more patient."
"You've never been one for patience though, and I should have behaved differently as well."
Ruby smiled, looking back up.
"You're not very patient either though. We both know that."
"Likely why we got along so well, until we didn't."
"Remember the fights we used to have?" Ruby said, smiling, taking a step closer to Regina. She moved to lift her hands, hesitating before dropping them again.
Regina laughed, pulling Ruby into her arms when she noticed her intentions.
"You used to make me so angry."
"Like a real little sister."
Regina nodded into Ruby's hair.
"One I always wanted."
"I used to wish Granny would take you home with us," Ruby whispered honestly.
A lump formed in Regina's throat.
"I used to wish the same thing."
They hugged for a few minutes until a voice interrupted.
"Hey," Emma called out, frowning when she saw the women hugging. "You guys okay?" Ruby looked distraught, and so did Regina for that matter.
"We're good. Just having an impromptu cuddle session," Ruby joked.
"Well, you're going to start rumours if you stay in this room much longer."
Regina rolled her eyes. There'd been enough rumours in her life. What were a few more? Nevertheless, she followed Emma, intending on leaving the storage room with her. Ruby tugged at her hand just before they exited it, however, Regina turning to look at her questioningly.
"For what it's worth, Regina, I'm really sorry. I never meant to hurt you."
"Thank you. And I'm sorry for hurting you as well."
"I'd like… I'd like to go back to how it was before. If you think you'd like that too."
"I would. I think, with time, we will. Perhaps we could aim for less screaming and throwing of clothing, however."
Ruby chuckled, giving Regina a genuine smile.
"No promises."
They returned to the concert, Emma once again finding her way back to the would-be dance floor and dancing with the children. She looked back and grinned at Ruby and Regina when she saw them back against the wall, chatting together amiably. Emma beamed. It seemed Regina had rekindled yet another old friendship. She was happy for her.
Emma found herself staring as she danced, and when Regina looked directly at her, holding her gaze, she grinned and made her way over.
"Dance with me."
"Emma, no."
"Come on, dance with me!"
"I'll come too. It'll look like we're having a dance party," Ruby said.
"Let's have fun," Emma urged. "Come dance with Henry and I."
Regina looked over at her son, who was grinning wildly at her. He waved, enthusiastically ushering her over.
"Who cares what people think. Dance with your son." Emma then paused. "Unless you're really uncomfortable with the idea."
She was, but Emma was right. She should be with her son.
"Let's go."
Regina felt the butterflies fluttering in her belly as she nervously made her way over to Henry, but she was happy as well. He looked so unbelievably excited when he realised his mother was coming to the dance floor, and she couldn't help the chuckle that fell from her lips when he wrapped her in a bear hug.
"You're going to dance with me, mom?!"
"I am," Regina answered, glancing over at Emma, who was grinning widely at her. She then turned back to her son. Henry looked so happy that there was nothing and no one that could have pried her away from him in that moment.
Regina danced with her son for the first time since she'd taught at the school, refusing to care if anyone was watching (they were), if anyone was talking (they were), simply enjoying the moment with him. She kept her eyes on Henry, who looked so overjoyed at his mother joining him on the dance floor that Regina saw nothing, no one, but him. Regina felt like kicking herself for not doing this with him years ago, but she refused to dwell. She was here now, with her son, and with the woman she was quickly falling for.
"You didn't tell me you could dance," Emma panted, moving her lips along Regina's jaw. "You were so sexy yesterday."
"You didn't suspect, miss Swan?" Regina gasped, fingers digging into Emma's hips as the woman licked a stripe along the shell of her ear. "I am Latina."
"Fuck, yes you are," Emma moaned, sucking on her earlobe, her free hand roaming up and down the side of Regina's body.
The women were currently horizontal on the couch, their Tuesday date night (which just happened to fall on Valentine's day) having taken a slightly more physical turn. Surprisingly. The night had started off innocently, Emma having had absolutely zero expectations that she'd end up here, mere hours after arriving at Regina's for dinner.
Emma had come over after Regina had dropped off Henry at his grandparents' house, flowers and a small box of chocolates in hand. Regina, for her part, had bought Emma a small teddy bear and a bag of Cheetos, to Emma's utter delight.
After exchanging gifts, they moved to the kitchen, cooking together and laughing, exchanging small kisses as they prepared their meal. They'd sat together at the dining room table, exchanging pleasantries and stories of their youth (the happy ones, of course). They'd played footsies under the table, Regina occasionally sending Emma a saucy look over her wine glass, but that had been the extent of it. And Emma was happy with that, happy to have any part of Regina touching her, even if it was just her foot around her ankle under the table at dinner. Emma didn't think they'd do much more (other than maybe cuddling) that evening, and she was happy with that.
After putting away their dishes and cleaning up their mess from dinner, they'd started debating what to do with the rest of their evening. Emma had suggested a game of chess. Regina had agreed.
So, Emma headed to the living room with every intention of reaching for the chess board, until Regina came up behind her at the bookshelf, turned her around, and (for lack of a better word) attacked her mouth. Emma had been too stunned to do anything but stand there for a second until her brain caught up, kissing back just as fervently. Regina had then led them to the couch, pulling Emma on top of her and resuming their kisses.
They'd been on the couch now, making out, for the better part of thirty minutes, and Emma was wet, swollen, and needy, but she was unbelievably happy. She loved kissing Regina. She'd let her set the pace, happy to go along with whatever Regina had in mind. Regina had done nothing more than simply kiss her, letting her hands roam up and down Emma's back and sides, so Emma had followed her lead, keeping her hands strictly on Regina's sides and arms.
"I really didn't plan on this happening," Emma said, kissing down Regina's throat. "Not that I'm complaining. But I would have been happy just sitting and playing chess with you."
"Not me," Regina gasped, shifting so Emma lay more fully on her. She loved the feeling of Emma on top of her. "I wanted this."
She had been eyeing Emma all night. Longer, if she were honest, but also tonight. Emma had been nothing but a perfect gentlewoman, even keeping her eyes away from the assets Regina had purposefully put on display with this dress, and that had both frustrated Regina and made her want Emma all the more. The way Emma respected her, never crossing her boundaries, the way she cared for her in a way no one had in so long. Or ever? Certainly not since Danielle, it made Regina throb and want in ways that she hadn't in decades.
She wanted Emma's hands all over her, wanted to kiss her and touch her and kiss her some more. So, she'd accepted Emma's offer to play chess, solely because she knew it would bring them to the living room, where there was a couch. A couch that she could pull Emma down onto.
Emma pulled back, surprised at Regina's confession.
"You planned this on purpose? You sneak."
"I thought you said you weren't complaining," Regina stated, leaning up to kiss her collarbone before moving up higher.
"I'm not," Emma grinned, tilting her head and opening her mouth when Regina pressed her tongue against her lips.
She most definitely was not complaining. She was in heaven, Regina kissing her enthusiastically, her warm hands roaming up and down her back. Emma was careful with her hands, also cautiously keeping their intertwined legs from touching against anything too intimate. Regina had just confessed her secret and Emma didn't want to push her, no matter how badly she wanted to feel the hardness she was sure was between Regina's legs. But she didn't want to move too quickly, so she kept their lower bodies apart. It was difficult, keeping track of so many limbs, but it was also a good distraction from her libido, which screamed at her that it wanted more.
Emma kept tight control over her body, but it was hard to ignore her raging arousal. She could feel the heat of Regina's bare legs even through her pants, and that alone was enough to make her belly clench with desire. Add in the fact that Regina's pillowy soft breasts were pressed against her own and her unbelievably smooth skin was so clearly on display for Emma's hungry eyes, coupled with the incredible things Regina was doing with her mouth, it was a wonder Emma could think at all, really.
"I love this dress on you," Emma groaned, finally pulling away from the kiss in order to breathe. "Looks fucking amazing on you."
"I chose it because I knew you'd like it. But really, you like all my dresses on me."
"That's very true. But it's cause you look fantastic in all of them."
Regina giggled when Emma's fingers tickled lightly at her sides.
"God, I love it when you make that sound. It's adorable. Makes me melt," Emma admitted, nuzzling Regina's throat.
Regina sighed contently, her fingers sneaking into Emma's locks, holding her in place as the woman licked and sucked at her neck.
"No hickeys, Emma."
The woman grinned against her throat.
"Oops."
"You didn't!" Regina gasped, attempting to push Emma off of her.
"No one can see. It's right here," Emma said, lapping at the base of Regina's neck. "No one will see it here."
Regina settled, but she poked Emma in the side reproachfully.
"You're a teenager."
"About as horny for you as a teenage boy, yeah. Not wrong there," Emma said, moving back up to her lips. "You're just so fucking pretty."
Regina snorted, the sound quickly changing to a moan when Emma's hand moved down to her knee and stroked at her skin. God, she loved Emma's hands. And even though they were behaving like a couple of horny teenagers, Regina couldn't find it within her to stop. Because truthfully, she didn't want to stop. Emma felt so good above her, against her.
The skin on Emma's hands was rough, but she touched her so gently that Regina heart clenched. Emma touched her like she was made of porcelain, like she was something delicate, to be treasured. And it made Regina ache with desire. And ever since they'd kissed the other day, Regina could not stop thinking about Emma's lips against her own. Likely because she couldn't stop dreaming about her.
For the last two nights, Regina had been dreaming about kissing Emma again, dreaming about her body pressed up against her, touching her, making her moan. The dreams had been making Regina wake up in the dead of night, gasping and hard as stone, aching for Emma's touch, for those gentle hands to show her just how not-so-gentle they could be.
Regina had already decided that tonight they were going to make out on her couch, but she had hesitated over going any further than that. She wanted to. And God, the dreams. The dreams had been persistent over the past couple of days, forcing Regina to walk around hard and horny, forcing her to take frequent bathroom breaks to relieve herself. But then her libido would kick off again anyway, whenever she came across Emma. Which was often, given that they worked at the same place.
The dreams had given Regina a lot of ideas, but when she began thinking about going further with Emma, about fulfilling some of the dreams she'd had, she got nervous. Which, Regina had reluctantly admitted to herself, was likely because it was too soon. It was too soon for anything that physical, especially considering they'd only shared their first kiss two days ago, and that Regina had finally divulged the secret she'd been guarding for so long. She was still feeling vulnerable emotionally, even if her body was screaming at her for more. Her head simply wasn't ready yet.
The conclusion she'd come to was a little disappointing, but Regina didn't want to push herself. And she didn't want to push Emma either. However, that didn't mean they couldn't make out on her couch and let their hands roam over their clothing. She was thoroughly enjoying what Emma was doing right now and she definitely didn't want to stop Emma's hands, especially given that they were only touching places that were innocent. Those touches made her want, they didn't make her nervous, so Regina encouraged them. They would be alone for the next few hours anyway, and Regina wanted Emma's hands on her body. Emma wanted her hands on her body. And Regina knew that Emma more than welcomed her touch as well. So, Regina planned on taking advantage of their time together.
Pulling herself from her thoughts, Regina focused on the beautiful woman laying on top of her, bringing her hands up and diving her fingers in her hair, holding her in place as she plunged her tongue into her mouth. Emma moaned against her lips, causing Regina's stomach to clench with heat, the hardness between her legs growing with the knowledge that Emma wanted her too. It was incredibly arousing to know that Emma was attracted to her. To be wanted by such a kind, honest, gentle person like Emma made Regina's usually dormant libido flare. God, how she wanted.
Emma's body was on fire. Her nipples were tight, hard, aching for Regina's touch. Her clit was so swollen that it was starting to throb. Emma could feel the way she pulsed between her legs, her arousal coating her underwear to the point that they were clinging to her uncomfortably. And with each swipe of Regina's tongue against her own, it felt like she was being lit on fire over and over again.
Emma began trembling with the effort of holding back, her hands pressing hard into Regina's skin in an effort to keep them from drifting down and touching herself. Or worse, touching Regina in places she wasn't ready for yet. Because Emma knew Regina was just as horny as she was. She could feel the pointed tips of Regina's breasts against her chest. And Regina's hips... fuck.
Emma had immediately become aware of the way Regina was slowly rocking her hips. She wasn't even sure if Regina had noticed she was doing it, but Emma had. She had noticed the second it started, and it had sent her body into overdrive. And when Regina began whimpering and kissing her more desperately? It had taken every ounce of her control not to dive down between Regina's legs and suck her until she exploded down her throat. Emma was desperate to reach down and find Regina's cock, but she knew she couldn't. That had to come from Regina, when she was ready. But it didn't stop Emma from wondering how big it was, what it looked like, how good it would feel between her legs. .
Oh God.
"Emma?" Regina asked, pulling away and panting against her chin. "Are you alright? You're shaking."
Emma swallowed hard, nodding her head.
"I'm good."
Regina rubbed her hands up and down Emma's arms, along her back, frowning at the tight muscles.
"Are you sure? You're quite tense," Regina replied, concerned. "Do you- are you uncomfortable? Do you want to stop?"
Emma pulled back enough to look into Regina's eyes, her stomach clenching when she saw just how dark her eyes were. The arousal evident there sent another pulse of wetness between her legs.
"Not at all."
"Then why…"
Emma sighed, chewing on her bottom lip.
"I'm just, I'm really turned on. I'm shaking cause I'm uh- I'm really horny. And I'm trying to keep still. I don't want to move on you."
Regina frowned a little, before her expression smoothed out in understanding. She glanced down at their bodies, where Emma had kept her lower body partially off of her, her one bent leg acting as a buffer to ensure Emma didn't press anything intimate against her.
"Do you want to stop?" Regina asked again, despite the fact that she really, really didn't want to. However, if Emma needed to, she didn't want to push her.
"No. Maybe I just need a second though."
Regina nodded, pulling Emma back down onto her chest and smoothing her fingers through her hair. It was unbelievably erotic to know that Emma wanted to rock against her thigh. Regina refused to consider that thought, however, as she was horny enough already without that visual.
Regina listened as Emma's breath moved from erratic and heavy to calm and steady. She giggled when Emma shifted and began peppering kisses along her collarbone and throat, squirming as she attempted to get away from the fingers digging into her hips to hold her in place. Emma continued tickling her skin with her lips and tongue, Regina erupting into full blow laughter as Emma began snorting and huffing playfully against her cheek.
"You are such an idiot."
Emma grinned down at her.
"I will gladly be the biggest idiot if it means making you laugh like that."
Regina's heart swelled at the words, her hand coming up and cupping Emma's cheek. She guided her back down for a kiss, this time their lips meeting together slowly, affectionately. They kissed like that for several long, languid moments, until Regina brought her hands down to Emma's hips, her fingertips walking along the edge of her shirt, pausing when she found exposed skin at Emma's lower back.
Emma moaned against Regina's lips when she felt warm, soft fingers began stroking at the skin just above the hem of her pants. It felt unbelievably good to have Regina's fingertips against her skin, the fire between her legs quickly reigniting as Regina increased the tempo of their kiss. She kissed back just as fervently, all of her earlier self-control snapping in a second when one of Regina's fingers stroked along the elastic band of her underwear. Emma's hips bucked automatically, a loud moan erupting from her throat when her throbbing core made contact with Regina's thigh.
Emma quickly ripped her mouth away again, dropping (mostly) off of Regina, burying her face in the couch cushion.
"Fuck," Emma breathed. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to do that."
Regina tugged at Emma until she was practically on top of her again, her hands resting high on Emma's back.
"Don't apologise. I'm the one who's sorry," Regina replied, reaching down to grab Emma's hand. She pulled it up to her lips, pressing a kiss against her knuckles before interlacing their fingers. "I didn't mean to do that. Nor did I mean to make you uncomfortable or to push you."
"You didn't, believe me. But having your hands on my skin made it hard to think. I was barely hanging on. And when your fingers touched my underwear, fuck. Yeah. I definitely lost control. I didn't mean to-to do that. With my hips. I just, I lost the ability to think."
"Is that all it takes? Grazing my finger against your underwear?" Regina teased, kissing Emma's knuckles again in apology.
"When it comes to you? Fuck yes."
Regina chuckled.
"That really was accidental. I didn't intend to, but I was a little distracted by your mouth and lost track of how close my hand was to your underwear. Your lips are very distracting, you know."
"Mmm," Emma responded, smiling. "Love your mouth."
"And I yours."
Emma smiled against her chest. She then shifted, propping herself up on one elbow so she could look down at Regina.
"You have sex hair," Emma observed, thoroughly enjoying the way Regina's cheeks flushed.
"As do you."
"Good. Tell the world I'm taken by the most beautiful woman on this planet."
Regina rolled her eyes.
"You flatter me."
"No way. It's the truth," Emma insisted, leaning down to kiss Regina's cheek.
"Hmm," Regina responded, noncommittally. She brought a hand up to play with Emma's hair. "Ruby asked me if we were dating yesterday."
"Oh? And what did you tell her?"
"I told her I don't like to gossip."
"Ah. Evasive," Emma replied. "Didn't wanna tell her? Or like, admit it?"
Regina hesitated. She could see the self-doubt in Emma's eyes, and that made her heart clench. She wanted to phrase this properly, ease Emma's doubts, so she took a few seconds to think. Her thinking was cut short, however, as she could see Emma's mounting insecurity.
"Well, we've decided that we would try to see if we could work. We've just barely put a label on it ourselves. I'm not ready to tell the entire world yet." Regina, seeing Emma's falling expression, continued quickly, "I'm not ashamed of you, Emma. Please don't think that. I am far from ashamed of you. I'm incredibly proud of you, and I know that I'm lucky to be with you. Soon, I'll be happy to tell others. It's just… I'd like to enjoy this with you alone first. For us to get to enjoy one another, just us. I like that I have this to share with you and with you alone. I don't want to share you or this with anyone else, not yet. Does that make sense?"
Belle knew, but that was different. Regina really was proud of Emma, but so much of her life had been shared with others against her will. She just wanted to have this to herself.
Thankfully, Emma smiled softly at her, leaning down to peck her on the lips.
"It makes perfect sense, sweetheart. I'm glad to hear it's not cause you're ashamed of me," Emma teased, though she really was relieved to hear it wasn't because Regina was embarrassed to be with her.
"Never," Regina responded seriously, cupping her cheek and looking her directly in the eye. "I am unbelievably proud to be with you, Emma. And I consider myself incredibly lucky that you've chosen me, out of everyone in the world, to lavish your attention on. I know how lucky I am. I want everyone to know we're together, and more importantly, that you're off the market. I would just like to enjoy it with you alone, first, for a little longer."
"Okay," Emma said, turning her head to kiss Regina's palm. "Probably good for us to iron out some details first anyway."
"Like?"
"Like… are we using the word 'girlfriend' yet?"
Regina couldn't help the grin that formed on her face.
"It's been so long since I've had one."
"Yeah? I know we're dating, but just for clarity's sake: Regina, will you be my girlfriend?"
"Yes."
Easiest yes of my life.
Emma, grinning from ear to ear, dove forward and crushed her lips to Regina's. Regina giggled against her mouth, wrapping her arms around Emma's back and pulling her close.
"My girlfriend," Emma grinned, kissing her way along Regina's jaw. "Regina is my girlfriend."
Suddenly, Emma whipped up, eyes wide. Regina's heart skipped a beat, concern filling her.
"What? What's wrong?"
"My teacher is my girlfriend. I'm dating my Spanish teacher," Emma suddenly said. "That means you're dating your student. Regina, how scandalous!"
Regina simply stared up at Emma, blinking, before she smacked Emma's hip. She had truly worried her, but she'd just been teasing.
"You are such an idiot."
Emma began laughing, Regina yanking her back down for a kiss in order to hide her own laughter.
Emma was an idiot, yes, but she was her idiot. Her idiot who was also her girlfriend.
Regina smiled against Emma's lips.
