Neo stared down Derek across the battlefield. The hatred in his eyes practically glowing. He despised his friend turned foe.
Derek looked back calmly and with a smirk on his face. He wanted to destroy Neo and take the world in his hands.
All beginning here, in the first battle of this legendary tournament.
"And boy do we've got a Battle on our hands folks! It's two boys from the same town! It's none other than Derek, the Ring Wrecker. As his title suggests, one of the top battlers in Alola. And on the other side is Neo, the King of Paldea. As his title suggests, he's the Champion of Paldea!" The announcer shouted
WITHOUT CAPS LOCK? Something's up
"Trainers, send out your pokemon" The referee shouted
"Go Shatter!" Neo growled as he sent out his Charizard. Full intent to take down Derek.
"Go on Tyrant" Derek smirked as he sent out his Tyranitar. Full intent on breaking Neo beyond repair.
"You know the rules! This round is the only 3 on 3 round… so… Battle… BEGIN!" The referee shouted
But wait, a quick interruption for the rules to be stated.
U-Turning and moves as such are allowed, Potions are unavailable to trainers for use, held items are banned, OHKO moves are also banned. Endless battle clause is in effect, meaning no forcing endless battles, Sleep clause is also active (You can't put more than one pokemon to sleep at a time)
And now back to the main show:
"Use Stone Edge!" Derek shouted
Tyranitar roared as it punched the ground causing massive spiky stones to appear from the ground and go into the air, nearing Charizard.
"Fly until you're right above it, then use U-Turn!" Neo ordered… CAUSE AUTHOR POWERS BABY
Charizard chirped as it flew towards Tyranitar's head and struck it head on, dealing massive damage and then swapping out with Neo's Greninja
"I'll need you later, Shatter. Go Frogue!" Neo growled out
"Use Thunder Punch!" Derek growled out
Tyranitar ran towards Greninja at lightning speed while lighting its fist with lightning and it went to strike Greninja
"Water Shuriken, Physically through him!" Neo shouted back
As Tyranitar went to go hit Greninja, the frog ninja disappeared for a second and appeared another second later, but on the other side of Tyranitar.
A second later, an explosion occurred behind Frogue. Where Tyranitar was, a whole lot of smoke blew up.
When the smoke cleared, Tyranitar was still standing, but it was clear major damage had been done. It had scratch marks all over itself, however it looked pissed off.
It roared loudly as it ran towards Greninja and hit it with a Thunder Punch. Which sent Greninja flying into the wall
Tyranitar tried to continue with its onslaught, but Greninja recognized the patterns and dodged every one of them.
All of this happening without trainer command? Now THIS is the Masters 16.
"Use Grass Knot!" Neo shouted
Greninja slowly stood on one leg and made a small knot of grass appear in front of Tyranitar which made it take massive damage.
The move Grass Knot's power depends on how heavy the opposing pokemon is. In this situation Tyranitar is heavy. Raising the power of Grass Knot
Which then made Tyranitar take super effective damage, leaving it on very low health, but not out.
"Use GIGA IMPACT!" Derek roared
Tyranitar growled as it charged up a huge tackle to hit Greninja.
"Use Water Shuriken!" Neo shouted
And just before Tyranitar could dash towards Greninja, it was knocked out. It fell over, swirls in its eyes. And unmoving
"Return… foolish beast. Go Aggron!" Derek growled silently as he sent out Aggron
Neo heard what Derek said to Tyranitar and his eyes practically gained a flame in them. His glare locked onto Derek as if to say 'I will kill you'
"Thank you Frogue, you did well. But Chompy can handle this better" Neo silently said as he sent out his Garchomp when returning his Greninja
Chompy came out of its pokeball and roared, shaking the stadium at the power it put into that roar. It then looked at Aggron and Derek and its eyes focused. Knowing this trainer was one his trainer hated.
He had fought Derek before as a Gabite, but now he was a Garchomp, and his power was unmatched… except by Neo's own Pokemon.
It had a habit of making strength its priority.
"Use Heavy Slam!" Derek growled
"Show them an Earthquake!" Neo commanded
Aggron spun around into the air and was about to land on Garchomp, but it dodged in time and as Aggron crashed into the ground, Garchomp punched the ground, causing an earthquake to happen, dealing massive damage to Aggron.
"Have a load of this! Use Play Rough" Derek roared
"You wanna play rough? Use another Earthquake, full power!" Neo shouted
Garchomp roared as loud as he could as he slammed his scythe hands into the ground which let out a giant shake of the ground, making the stadium shake.
People screamed loudly as the stadium shook, however stopped as the stadium stopped shaking and the smoke from the battlefield cleared.
Aggron lay unmoving, swirls in its eyes. Garchomp really had taken one of the most defensive Pokémon, and showed off its strength.
"I knew you were weak." Derek evilly murmured as he returned the Pokemon "Go Machamp."
Neo grinned as he saw the Pokemon. He was all too familiar with it, facing it through his journey nonstop. He watched it grow into the monster it is today. The monster being a very evil one and one that hurt other Pokemon just for the fun of it
Derek smiled evilly, knowing that his Machamp was equipped to deal with the three Pokemon Neo had selected.
"But we'll do something even better!" Derek shouted as he returned Machamp and made the pokeball bigger from the energy that came from his wrist.
He threw the pokeball again and it opened, Machamp came out and grew bigger and bigger, til its pants were covering its entire lower body, it had massive orange lines around its arms and its eyes glowed yellow.
It roared as it finalized its form. Slightly scaring Garchomp.
Neo stared at the monster in front of him. He looked down at his neck, seeing his charm necklace there was only one choice.
He put two fingers against it and it revealed a Keystone. He pressed it and it began to glow as Garchomp's mega stone responded by glowing as well
Garchomp then started to grow its Scythe hands even bigger, its face became sharper and it grew spikes on its chest and Scythe "hands."
Garchomp roared and the stadium knew it was on.
The crowd got up on their feet and started cheering as some random ass music started playing. It was epic so we'll allow it.
This epic showdown started now.
"Dragon Claw!" Neo shouted
Garchomp roared as it jumped high into the air and went straight for Machamp's chest and slashed it. Leaving a massive mark.
Machamp roared in pain, but Derek didn't care. "Max Hailstorm!" He growled
Machamp roared as a giant storm formed above Garchomp and started raining hail upon it. However, Garchomp dodged the attack easily.
"You know I've got a massive advantage over you… right?" Neo called out to Derek
"Fuck you mean? I've got all the moves needed to take your team of 3 down" He roared back
"Can your Pokémon move freely?" Neo smirked "Chompy, use Earthquake!"
Machamp felt the ground shake and it started wobbling nonstop, nowhere to go. But it still stood, sustaining massive damage however. As evident by the scars on its body.
"Use G-Max Chi-Strike!" Derek growled out
A giant fist appeared in the air and flew towards Chompy who couldn't dodge it. And Chompy was hit. The attack raised not only Machamp's attack stat, but its Critical hit ratio.
This is due to author powers, whereas if it was normal then it'd only be the Crit ratio that was raised.
Chompy (the Garchomp) still stood glaring down the Machamp.
"And now it's our turn! Full Power Earthquake!" Neo shouted
Garchomp let out a giant roar as it slammed its hands into the ground again. The stadium shook with such power. Machamp still stood however. BECAUSE STUPID MOTHERFUCKING HEALTH HAD TO BE DO- I'm not ranting anymore
"This is the end for you Neo. Max Hailstorm!" Derek chuckled evilly. As if he was a villain
He sort of was, but he wasn't a relevant villain tho…
The hailstorm came down again, and hit Garchomp head on… the giant hail surrounded Garchomp then. Unable to tell whether it was knocked out or not.
When the ice melted it was clear. Garchomp had swirls in its eyes, not only that, but it looked heavily injured. Massive cuts and bruises.
"Thanks Chompy, you did awesome out there. But There's a reason I saved Shatter" Neo grinned as he sent out the Charizard again
"AIR SLASH" Neo roared
Charizard roared as loud as it could as a giant wind current appeared behind it and flew towards Machamp.
The air currents slashed against Machamp which for whatever reason were super effective, but whatever… The Air currents took down Machamp as it blew up before it could even make a third move. It fell to its knees and swirls in its eyes
"Return Machamp." Derek growled under his breath.
"Machamp is Unable to battle, Charizard wins! The one moving onto the next round is THE PALDEAN CHAMPION NEO!" The referee shouted as a giant cheer went up in the stands
"Return Shatter, you were amazing out there" Neo smiled.
Neo glared over at Derek who sighed looking down. He knew he had lost. And what worth was he anymore? He had become evil, and that was what he was now. Just a lowly abusive trainer.
With one final glare Neo left the arena… awaiting the results of the other battles which were happening after his.
After all… its not easy getting through.
"MAY I HAVE CHAMPION CYNTHIA AND CHAMPION ALAIN COME TO THE FIELD!" The announcer shouted as the trainers arrived at the battlefield
"Send out your Pokémon!" The referee shouted
Cynthia held the pokeball which her Spiritomb was in. While Alain held his Tyranitar's pokeball. And they both threw them out at the same time.
"BATTLE… BEGIN!" The referee shouted
The two Pokémon rushed at each other, inability to be patient.
What's gonna happen next? What's the battle gonna be like? Who's gonna win? These are all questions which will be answered… ON THE NEXT EPISODE OF DRAG- whoops wrong series… These questions will be answered ON THE NEXT CHAPTER OF A NAME FOR YOURSELF!
