Hey guys, sorry this is late, but enjoy!Chapter 12
Wendy woke up first. Her stomach was flipping — a normal occurrence when she woke up these days. As she tried to climb out of bed without waking Romeo, his arm moved to hold her against his chest tightly.
"Where are you going?" he asked, sleepily.
She sighed as she turned to look at him. He was smiling, but his eyes were closed. "I want to get up."
"No, stay with me," he whined.
She was about to respond when the door opened. "Hey, it's 7:30. You two need to wake up," said Macao.
Romeo groaned, and Wendy laughed as his grip around her loosened. She kissed his cheek, and left the bed to use the bathroom before heading to the kitchen. Romeo quickly followed. When they got to the kitchen, they found two plates. One was filled with eggs and sausage, while another held a small waffle with fruit. Romeo started to eat his eggs as Macao walked into the kitchen.
"Thanks for breakfast, Dad," said Romeo with a bite of egg in his mouth.
"You're welcome, pig," replied Macao as he sat down. "You hungry, Wendy?" Macao asked as he watched the young girl stare at her waffle.
"No, not really. My stomach is bothering me," Wendy replied.
Macao nodded. "Well, eat a few pieces of the fruit and the human machine over here can shovel down the rest."
"I'm not a human machine or a pig," Romeo complained.
Wendy laughed. She ate about half the fruit before giving the rest to Romeo.
"Wendy, I want to ask you about what happened with you and Natsu last night. Romeo didn't say much in his note."
Wendy looked at Macao and sighed. "A lot. When I finally told him I was pregnant, he blew up. He got so mad that he burned the kitchen table and when he stood up, it snapped in half! He didn't let me say anything; he just yelled at me about how he couldn't take care of or afford a baby and that it was a burden on him to take care of me now. He yelled about wanting to hurt Romeo and how the guild would feel. He grounded me for a year. I couldn't stay there with someone who didn't want me."
Macao sighed and looked at the young girl with caring eyes. "Well, I don't think Natsu handled the situation the right way, but I agree with him about one thing: I'm not happy about the situation the two of you are in."
Wendy nodded as Romeo got up to put their empty plates in the sink. On his way back, Macao continued, "I called Lucy. She and Natsu are coming by around 8:30 to pick you up."
Wendy looked at the clock in the kitchen; it was 8:08. She was worried about Natsu coming, but she knew she needed to get ready, so she silently left the room to get dressed.
Romeo started to follow her when Macao said, "I wanna talk to Natsu before you or Wendy do."
Romeo nodded before going after his girlfriend. He knocked on the closed door, and waited until she answered, "Come in."
Romeo entered the room to find Wendy sitting on the floor in front of his bed, dressed in a pink shirt and skinny jeans, which he knew was not her typical outfit. "Skinny jeans?" he asked as he sat down beside her.
"They were sitting on my dresser. Lucy had just washed them. They were the quickest thing to grab," she replied softly.
"My dad is going to talk to them when they get here, and he wants us to stay here."
Wendy looked away and asked, "Do you think your dad would hear us if we went out the window?"
Romeo sighed. "He might. Why do you wanna go out the window?"
He put his arm around her as she started to explain. "I just don't want to be yelled at like that again."
Romeo moved his arm and shuffled over so he was in front of Wendy, softly reaching for her hands. "I won't let that happen, and neither will my dad. Plus, he won't be able to break any more furniture. That would really piss my dad off and we don't want another fight on our hands."
She sighed. "Do you think Natsu's going to kick me out?"
Romeo sighed. "I don't know, Wendy, but really I don't think so."
Wendy sighed. Romeo decided to try and cheer her up before Lucy and Natsu arrived. "You know… this may be the last time we get privacy for a long time."
"Yeah?" Wendy said, curious to see where this was going.
"So I was thinking, we should at least make the most of it," he said with a smirk.
Wendy smiled and asked, "What do you have in mind?"
Romeo moved closer to Wendy and pressed his lips against hers. The kiss started slowly but heated up quickly until Wendy pushed him back. "Just kissing."
Romeo nodded. "That's all I had in mind," he said just before Wendy closed the distance between them again.
